Survivor South Pacific 11/09 Episode Blog Party

Survivor South Pacific

Survivors ready? It's almost time for the show to start here on the East Coast. As it airs, I'll be updating this post with major events. But the real fun and active discussion can be found in the blog party comments. Stop on in and share your thoughts on the show!

Savaii folks lit into Cochran as expected.

Immunity is down to one winner this week. It's in rounds, first round is a coconut target shoot, second is cracking a coconut and filling mouth with juice, through an obstacle course and filling a tube with it.

Uh-oh for Cochran ... JIM won immunity!

Huh? Jim is saying he's going to give Ozzy his necklace and convince people to vote for Cochran? That would be silly!

8:22 PM and Tribal is starting? Hmmm ...

Lots of big macho talk, but Jim kept his immunity necklace.

The tally:
Ozzy

Ozzy

Ozzy us out again to Redemption.

Whoa! Another immunity challenge! It's one where Jeff offers them food to skip the challenge. ALL of the old Upolu sits out to eat with only the three ex-Savaii compete. Jim was out first and snapped at Jeff. Heh. He annoys me. Whitney wins immunity.

Albert thinks Dawn is sneaky and more of a threat than Jim. Jim is the blatant target. Coach says Jim is a rhinoceros who can charge at you while Dawn is a snake -- both can kill you.

The tally:

Jim gets to meet up with Ozzy and Keith at Redemption.

  1. Here's hoping Cochran has the cojones to own his move. If he does, I'll cheer for him. If he doesn't...I hope he's next to go! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  2. Well...I mean after Ozzy. :)

    ReplyDelete
  3. Hey everyone! Hey sweetie!

    ReplyDelete
  4. hey babes. How was your day?

    ReplyDelete
  5. Pumpkin - Ozzy is the coolest to watch, why do you want so badly for him to leave?

    ReplyDelete
  6. oh babe - my day? Too much. later.

xoxoxoxoxoxoxo cuz i am here with you now.

Hi Jackie, you workin' woman !

    ReplyDelete
  7. I think they have a lot to learn: it's an INDIVIDUAL game. You'd think they would have learned from Rob's win.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Hey Monty (and lil Joey)

    ReplyDelete
  9. Sorry, but Cochran is a rat. He has guaranteed to never make it to the end.
    MHO

    Monty, how is your pup?

    Penny

    ReplyDelete
  10. Petals, Ozzy is cool for YOU to watch because you lust after him. As a "character" on the show he's kind of boring.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I'd like to see Cocgran last for a while.

    ReplyDelete
  12. No, no - I really don't want Ozzy to leave, just yet. ;-)

    Penny

    ReplyDelete
  13. Cochran, that is. I don't think he owed his previous tribe any loyalty. It's not like he fit in with them or anything.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Penny, how are his odds of getting to the end any worse than they were with Ozzy's tribe? If anything, they went up. As the "rat", he becomes a possible choice for anyone on Coach's tribe to take to the end because they know his old tribe mates are pissed at him.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Lil Joey has found his independence... he doesn't want to watch Survivor with me, LOL

    ReplyDelete
  16. I agree with you Jackie. At least based on the edit, they treated him like crap

    ReplyDelete
  17. I'm rooting for Cochran too. I don't this he has a chance if all of his tribe members are on the jury, but I like his guts.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Yes, it is an individual game, but the past has proven, the team who is cohesive when they go in to the merge, has control. When they get to the final 5, is when they get really cutthroat because they all can't win.

    Fight, Ozzy - do it!!!

    Penny

    ReplyDelete
  19. is there a double elimination tonight or are we just expecting a whole lot of drama?

    ReplyDelete
  20. This challenge probably took forever in real time!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Hello everyone! I always that is was coconut MILK?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Hey, everyone! I hope we have more here than Sunday night.

Oops, Ozzy is toast unless he can pull one out of a hat -- or his hair.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I think you are right Becky. He's toast unless there is a miracle.

    Penny

    ReplyDelete
  24. would she be penalized if she had vomited into the tube? (I mean other by us who had to watch it.)

    ReplyDelete
  25. Joe, pumpkin, sweetheart - oh yes, Ozzy is definitely good for me to watch.

    Hey Becky!

    ReplyDelete
  26. I ate late so probably would have hurled with her...

    ReplyDelete
  27. Isnt coco water like a natural laxative? ouchie

    ReplyDelete
  28. Well, it looks like it'll probably be Ozzy leaving...:-(

Cochran said Jim, but since Jim won immunity, I can see them picking Ozzy. :-*( Not happy.

    Here it goes...one by one...

    Penny

    ReplyDelete
  29. I think so, Petals. None for me - thanks!

What is our drinking word tonight?

    ReplyDelete
  30. Penny, that's true about coherence. But the opportunity for someone is always when the numbers get down. When it is down to 7 and Cochran's number is up (?), one contingent may want to make a move and that's Cochran's opportunity.

He wasn't in much better shape with his old tribe. They tried to vote him out like 3 times and blamed him for every comp they lost. I really don't see him being in any better shape with them. A lot can happen now and it is rare for anyone to be able to hold an alliance of 6 together all the way to the end. It's usually groups of 3 or 4 that make it.

    ReplyDelete
  31. *holding torch for Ozzy*

    ReplyDelete
  32. If Ozzy goes tonight it's because of his mis-use of the Immunity Idol (again!)

    ReplyDelete
  33. Dawn's like a day late and a dollar short on flipping. They don't need her now. Last tribal was the time to flip.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Now she's considering flipping her vote again? She's a waffleler

    ReplyDelete
  35. Jim is kinda abrasive, but I like him.

    ReplyDelete
  36. um...why can't Jim keep the necklace and still make the same speech??? Giving Ozzy the necklace just makes their tribal coherence that much more obvious...

    ReplyDelete
  37. (babe - my guy in real life is putting me thru the ringer, man. I am trippin)

    ReplyDelete
  38. This has to be the dumbest group of Survivors ever. Ugh!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Isn't kind of early for tribal council?

    ReplyDelete
  40. I can see how alot of guys would feel "less than' around Ozzy. His beauty would be intimidating.

    (you can gaga now)

    ReplyDelete
  41. Hi Silk. I thought i heard you rustling around up there in the loft. : )

    ReplyDelete
  42. woow - nice speech, mi amore

    ReplyDelete
  43. Vote Ozzy out... sorry Petals! :(

    ReplyDelete
  44. Yes, Ozzy made the mistake - again.

Joe, you are right. Cochran will not get any further with his new tribe. He turned on his first tribe, he'll turn on them.

They talk about honor, but the other team is as cocky.

    Penny

    ReplyDelete
  45. So, Honorable Jim told Ozzy he'd give him the necklace and then kept it...I think he just pulled a Cochran. LMAO

    ReplyDelete
  46. Double elimination?

    ReplyDelete
  47. Gee, Ozzy would still have it if he wasn't a dumb ass... (sorry, honey)

    ReplyDelete
  48. Really it would be better to send Ozzy to Redemption over Jim. He is a better all around player.

    ReplyDelete
  49. But I don't want Ozzy to fight Keith.

    Penny

    ReplyDelete
  50. Was that an obscenity made out of Cochran's name?!?!?!

    ReplyDelete
  51. Don't worry... he'll be back, I'm sure of it. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  52. I can't stand the smug look on the other team's face. They think they have it in the bag. Dang.

    Penny

    ReplyDelete
  53. Does anyone else bring in the food beside Ozzy?

    ReplyDelete
  54. I'm not worried. Really. Not at all. The worst part is that he wont be on camera as much. {{Ozzy}}

    ReplyDelete
  55. *drinking*

    omg, what a day

    ReplyDelete
  56. Hi all, I'm lurking with ~Silk as always.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Laurie isnt here, but for when she drops in: HAPPY BIRTHDAY LAURIE!

    ReplyDelete
  58. Joe in NY said...
I think he just pulled a Cochran. LMAO
    *******
Why yes he did! Honorable schmonorable. Jim is a JOKE! Sorry to Jim's pool players. :)

    ReplyDelete
  59. I don't want to see him fight Keith either. I don't want anyone on his team to go home, but they will get picked off one by one. But let's face it, Ozzy IS a better player than anyone on his team.

    ReplyDelete
  60. The timing of tonight's episode is very peculiar. I guess we'll see what's up. Tribal NEVER started at 8:22 PM before!

    ReplyDelete
  61. That's a meal for four... not two, LOL

    ReplyDelete
  62. oh, to whoever asked if anyone else provides food? I dont think so. I think Ozzy was the shizzle. The others will be kinda hungry, ahahahahhaha

    ReplyDelete
  63. @Ed LMAO

I totally agree. Typical Survivor psychology. Hate everyone for playing just like you!!! It's just human nature, happens on BB all the time also.

Jim talks about honor and everything but we've seen his confessionals. He was putting together an alliance to take out Ozzy at one time. They all play the same game and just hate the people that are better at it. But rather than admit they were outplayed, they try to make it seem like the other person cheated or was somehow unworthy.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Another immunity challenge!

    ReplyDelete
  65. (with a beauty like Ozzy on Redemption, the cameras will surely spend more time there)

    ReplyDelete
  66. Based on previous balancing game, I would guess Edna and Cochran will be out in 60 seconds.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Howdy everyone. Was the eviction tonight quick or what? Are they going to go for a double?

    SueGee on the Left Coast

    ReplyDelete
  68. Ah, yes. The temptation challenge!

    ReplyDelete
  69. You are right, Joe. Ozzy played the wrong hand. Why would they ever think Cochran would help them? He started out as a snake and he will continue to be one.

Brendon talks about honor, but look how he treated some of the people on his tribe? No different.

I've always been told that sugar is better than vinegar; which includes how you treat people.

This will prove who is to smug.

    Penny

    ReplyDelete
  70. They could screw with them by dropping out immediately. LMAO

    ReplyDelete
  71. I'm a little disappointed in Coach...even he knows he broke the Warrior Code.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Jim getting a little snippy there with Jeff. Drinking on that!

    ReplyDelete
  73. Jim is gone tonight.

    Dawn, shut up!!!

    Penny

    ReplyDelete
  74. That seemed a little unsportsmanlike of Brandon to celebrate Jim dropping out.

Dawn still sucking up, but what's she got to win: be number 8 when there's 9 people left????

    ReplyDelete
  75. They really should be trying harder to flip 2 or 3 of the others to establish an alliance on 4 or 5

    ReplyDelete
  76. All that gobbling down of the sweets is going to cause some sick people -- good! Glad Whitney won. Dawn has made it obvious that she has flipped.

    ReplyDelete
  77. pumpkin-omg the day! got crazy! still reeling

    ReplyDelete
  78. But, Jim should get snippy. Every one of them are going to be eliminated one by one. Even when they come back, they are gone again.

I am glad Whitney won. But it won't matter because they will eliminate everyone of them anyway.

    :-(

Inclusive Albert? Now who is being smug in the game? :-(

    Penny

    ReplyDelete
  79. Me thinks Jim is going packing. But... what did Albert mean by what he said? Hmmm

    ReplyDelete
  80. isn't it odd that CBS didn't advertise the double elimination tonight? They always did before.

    ReplyDelete
  81. I think Albert wants to make sure it is still just a group of 6. I bet he tries to get Dawn voted out.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Joe - I was thinking that too. It wasn't mentioned in any promos I saw.

    ReplyDelete
  83. That's a good plan, actually. Based on numbers, core 5 could run the game at this point.

    ReplyDelete
  84. I liked cochrane, I root for the underdog. But when they have OVERdog attitude, I'm out. Not like the Coch anymore. Yes, I shortenened his name on purpose.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Dawn's sucking up is almost making porn star Ozzy's acting look good!

    ReplyDelete
  86. Okay, I'm slow, lol. I get it and Albert is right. They probably should get rid of Dawn. I'm so happy that I don't have to play Survivor for real.

    ReplyDelete
  87. I think Albert wants to make it clear that every one from the other team is going to go. That they are not inclusive with their people.

Cochran think he has it in the bag. But Jim is right, Cochran is a perfect 3rd place person because every one voted out will dislike him. I wouldn't think that way, though.

    Penny

    ReplyDelete
  88. I did not see any promos for double elimination but on the info on the guide on my Direct TV, it says it is double elim.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Frankly, Jim is smarter than Dawn. He's not just the Rhino.

    ReplyDelete
  90. CBS loves to keep us guessing!

    ReplyDelete
  91. so will it be 3 in the elimination challenge? keith, Ozzy & ?

    ReplyDelete
  92. LET IT BE DAWN is what I meant.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Petals, if you remember last time they ended up with like 5 people on Redemption Island at one point.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Brandon is always doing math but just isn't any good at it. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  95. How smug can you be. You are a bug to be stepped on Brendon.

    Ugh!!!

    And shut up again, Dawn.

    Penny

    ReplyDelete
  96. Whitney is suddenly looking prettier to me...

    ReplyDelete
  97. This is the time, Cochran needs to see just where he stands. He's last place.

    Penny

    ReplyDelete
  98. Yet she didn't feel bad for Cochran when he was vilified!

    ReplyDelete
  99. OMG She totally trashed Cochran after his vote and now she's not a bully?!?!? People really do lack self-awareness.

    ReplyDelete
  100. hey, yeah, Whitney is right! Where the EFF is the Christianity????? Where is the koom-ba-ya? (sp)

    ReplyDelete
  101. OMG! They were even at the merge. How does he say they were excluded???

    Idiots all of them.

    Penny

    ReplyDelete
  102. Joe, you are too soft. lol

    ReplyDelete
  103. It's funny how they act when the 'shoes on the other foot'

    ReplyDelete
  104. wow. Sucks like a Dyson!

    ReplyDelete
  105. I wish they would do a new twist. Send five people to Redemption -- and then let them be a new tribe!

    ReplyDelete
  106. That was the smarter move. It does get interesting now. At 9, Power 5!!! But will anyone jump?

    ReplyDelete
  107. Well, either smug Jim or Ozzy will probably be back. Next week should be G O O D!

    ReplyDelete
  108. Sure she yelled at Cochran. Do you not think Brandon and Coach would have yelled at one of their own if it had been reversed? Of course they would have. The only smarter thing they did was get rid of the people they didn't like at the beginning. That's what Savaii should have done to Cochran, but they didn't. That is why they are going to be picked off, one by one

    Penny

    ReplyDelete
  109. LOL, Monty. I wrote that before she started crying. She just looked more natural than she did at the beginning...

    ReplyDelete
  110. And yes Joe Whitney is kinda' pretty and I totally agree with you on your earlier comment regarding Jim.

    ReplyDelete
  111. The other team is just as smug.

    Penny

    ReplyDelete
  112. LOL, Petals. Sucks like a Dyson...
    Best comment tonight

    ReplyDelete
  113. I hope they do a twist because right now, it's too predictable. Not interesting at all.

    Penny

    ReplyDelete
  114. Penny, we know you like Ozzy's tribe. But if you step back a little, she was far meaner to Cochran than she needed to be. It is a game and they should realize that. But if she wants to yell and tell him that he "disgusts her", don't get all weepy about being on the outside.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Ozzy is so effing full of himself...

    ReplyDelete
  116. Coach said " the family"???? Who does he think he is, Charlie Manson?

    ReplyDelete
  117. Gotta admit that Ozzy looks pretty HAWT on top of the tree! :)

See you all later. Off to Harry's Law!

    ReplyDelete
  118. Sucks like a Dyson. Oh, Petals - that is good. Have to remember it! OL

    Penny

    ReplyDelete
  119. LOL. His whole effing alliance is on Redemption Island and Jim's telling the camera what a brilliant game he played?!?!? Heck, if he blames Cochran for flipping he should take the blame for keeping him there. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  120. Petals, he was playing the Godfather not Uncle Charlie.

    ReplyDelete
  121. Just one more... I agree Joe. People lack self awareness when they are the one in the frying pan. Whitney didn't look very sympathetic to me tonight, tears and all!

    ReplyDelete
  122. My blog pool gal Sophie is still under the radar yet playing a shrewd game.

    ReplyDelete
  123. Joe, she was already on the outside. It's just that she wanted cohesiveness, but knew he was very iffy.

    Penny

    ReplyDelete
  124. The other team got rid of all the people who caused them problems. Savaii should have, too. Right now, it is very predictable. I'd like to see something change, even if one of Coach's people win. This is as predictable as Boston Rob winning last time. LOL

    Penny

    ReplyDelete
  125. Jackie - I think Sophie willl be one to be reckoned with. She is brainy, patient. Perfect for you! :)

    ReplyDelete
  126. QUESTION: When Christine was on Redemption Island she had 4 or 5 wins but always remained on RI afterward. How come when Ozzy beat her last week he was allowed to come back to the tribe immediately, leaving no one on RI?

    ReplyDelete
  127. Ed,

That's the way it always goes when someone comes back. At some pre-ordained time, the victor at Redemption returns.

    ReplyDelete
  128. Thanks for your reply Joe,

It just seems weird to me that there was no one on redemption island from last weeks show to this weeks'.

And now we have 3 tribesman there. We went from having the same person there for many shows, to no one there at all, and now there's 3. Just seems too random and disjointed. (imho) :)

    ReplyDelete
  129. thanks for the birthday wishes, Petals. I had a fabulous day and plan to celebrate until Thanksgiving when I give it over to the Turkey and football.

    ReplyDelete
  130. Nobody likes a rat. All Cochran did was buy himself a few more days and trash his persona for all the world to see. As soon as the tribe he betrayed is picked off one by one, of course he will be the next to go. I'd rather have left with a modicum of respect two or three days earlier than to turn my back on my tribe. Ozzy really put himself on the line to ensure that when the merge occurred the tribes would be equal. Unearned benefit to Coach's tribe IMO. And all Cochran got was a few more hours to play the game. He will never win.

    ReplyDelete
