Survivor South Pacific Season Finale and Reunion Show Blog Party

Survivor South Pacific

Survivors ready? It's the two-hour season finale followed by the reunion show! Alas, since it's Sunday night and CBS is a %$#, football has delayed the show. Sigh. I'm not sure when it is to start. I believe football was still on at 7:30 PM (I'm not fan). When I checked at 7:42 PM. 60 Minutes was on. So, I'll get this post up for 8 PM but the show won't be started then.

Once it does begin, I'll be updating this post with major events. But the real fun and active discussion can be found in the blog party comments. Stop on in and share your thoughts on the show!

8:33 PM ET and we're finally ready to start!

Duel time! They hve to hold onto a pole. Um. Okay. Brandon played a good pole dance, but Ozzy won. Ozzy is back in the game!

Immunity challenge -- it's building a high house of cards time. Ozzy wins!

Tribal Council --

Next season -- new twist. Survivor One World -- two tribes, one island.

Thank you to all who have made this blog your Survivor home!

I have a Guy Fieri Tri-Tip all cooked and ready to slice for sandwiches. All we need is a drinking word LOL If I didn't have to get up tomorrow - We could use a word like Final 3, or alliance or even integrity!!

  18. I bought a Mrs. Smith's Deep Dish Apple Pie. I worked my hiney off today trying to get everything done so I could drop in the chair and relax.

I am working on a project for Momma for Christmas. I gathered up all the loose photos she had propped up on shelves and brought them home, evading her questions about what happened to all the pictures she had out. I bought three large frames and am filling each one with one families pictures. I figure when she is no longer with us that each of us can take our family pictures home. I had no idea that it would be so time consuming.... or I might not have done it. I am waiting on my niece to bring a picture of her mother who passed away several years ago so I can finish up.

  20. Oh, I took my two Beagle girls out to have their picture taken with Mr and Mrs. Santa Paws yesterday. Petals, do you want me to send you a copy when I get them downloaded?

    ReplyDelete

  22. oh Becky, what a great idea...

    ReplyDelete
  23. Yes, Becky! Thanks!

    *Opening chips, uncovering dips*

    ReplyDelete
  24. Santa Paws, how cute! I would never get my 4 dogs to sit still enough to get any picture taken. Especially my mini-doxie. He's like pinning jello to a wall. LOL

  25. I meant to take Bash for his Santa pic, but didnt make it.

    Here we go!!!!!

    Is that ok with ya'all?

    ReplyDelete
  30. Whooo Ozzy baby!! Perform! Yes!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Is Sarah a Beagle? I will get on topic when the show begines -- I know what happened so far.

    ReplyDelete
  32. oh yeah, Monty will be a lil late, but will be here...

    ReplyDelete
  33. Becky, that's a lovely gift for your mother.

Maybe we will be eating our dinner when the "remember who used to be here" part comes up. That way I won't miss too much of the real action.

Petals, I hope your man makes it back on the island tonight so you can see him for a few hours!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Now, let's get down to business, Survivor!

    Thank you Becky!

    Penny

    ReplyDelete
  35. Baaack has it started yet? Snuck dinner in so I can have a beer LOL

    SueGee

    ReplyDelete
  36. Ozzy called me on the coconut phone - he said he beats Brendan and cant wait to see me again.

And he made paper from palmtree pulp, and used octopus ink to write me a sweet poem:

    Ozzy loves Petals,
on the island and at home
    The only thing he misses
is Petals in the Pleasure Dome!

    ReplyDelete
  37. And I'm still in the pool with the Cowboy!!

    SueGee

    ReplyDelete
  38. HAHAHAHA

    Sue, have another beer!

    ReplyDelete
  40. You have to tell me when to take a drink!

    SueGee

    ReplyDelete
  41. Coach is such a jerk! Like HE didn't stab Brandon in the back.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Don't go off on thinking you are such a top dog, Oz. Don't count your chickens before they hatch.

    ReplyDelete
  43. let's hope Ozzy wins -- in case there was any chance he would not

    ReplyDelete
  44. I'm here.. Hello everyone. Happy Fanale Day!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Drink when you hear anyone say the word "final"

(or anytime you want to, LOL)

    ReplyDelete
  46. Ozzy is good. I don't mind him being arrogant. It's just sometimes, it does sound bad. ANYWAY - GO Ozzy!

    Penny

    ReplyDelete
  47. Ozzy told me that he wins this...but that I need to massage his feet for an extra-long time.
    (no problem)

    ReplyDelete
  48. surprised Brandon is doing as well as he is. He's LITTLER I guess

    ReplyDelete
  49. Penny - Yup, Ozzy earned his attitude.

    ReplyDelete
  50. THey do make these challenges for the pair - so if Brandon is smaller he might have a better shot at this kind of challenge

    ReplyDelete
  51. WHOOOO!!!!!!!!

    My love!

    *sigh*

    ReplyDelete
  52. WOW! One of the toughest ones ever.

    ReplyDelete
  53. You guys are killing me - I can't see a thing

    SueGee

    ReplyDelete
  54. So Ozzy beat Brandon? yes?

    ReplyDelete
  55. Ozzy will "come harder". Awesome.

    (sorry, had to)

    ReplyDelete
  56. Coach will play his II at tribal. We will see if he stands by Ozzie like he said as a "Christian man".

    ReplyDelete
  57. Go Ozzy Go Ozzy lol
    ML

    ReplyDelete
  58. KayceeFisher12/18/2011 8:55 PM

Regardless of the final outcome, Ozzy has played his heart out. He is a true competitor. And a true survivor.

    ReplyDelete
  59. If Ozzie doesn't win Immunity, it's probably a given he's gone next Tribal. That would be crappy having won all these RI comps to go home as #5.

    ReplyDelete
  60. He played the game and is good eye candy LOL

    SG

    ReplyDelete
  61. mmm..... Sue the steak is great!

    ReplyDelete
  62. Marge, I agree, it would be crappy

    ReplyDelete
  63. Boy, Ozzy's got Coach pegged. He knows Coach will not keep him.

    Penny

    ReplyDelete
  64. meb, yes.
    Sue - Right on!

Our resident acerbic-but-loveable Ozzy-hater is on his way...

    ReplyDelete
  65. Yeah, old Coach is already back pedaling.

    ReplyDelete
  66. thank you KayceeFisher! Have a drink!

    ReplyDelete
  67. Go Ozzy baby!

My love wont let me down on this one!

    Whoo!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  68. Okay, where are the guys? Joe and Monty? Out of town?

    Penny

    ReplyDelete
  69. Oh no, Ozzy!!! Yikes.

Boy, she was really serious, wash't she?

    ReplyDelete
  70. Say what, Sophie? I don't think that she should think that Albert would knock himself out to help her!

    ReplyDelete
  71. wow. This is a tough challenge

    ReplyDelete
  72. Pumpkin! We are drinking on "final", and there is steak, pigs-n-blankets, pie, brownies, cheese, veggies, fruit, beer and champagne.

Do you like my cocnut bikini & sarong ensemble?

    ReplyDelete
  73. Hey, Joe, I was just asking about you and Monty! Glad to see you!

    GO OZZY!!!!

    Penny

    ReplyDelete
  74. YES!!!

Baby brings it home to mama!

    I love you, Ozzy!!!

    ReplyDelete
  75. hi Joe
Boy Oz is good under pressure

    ReplyDelete
  76. Yes, Laurie. And now he won immunity!

    ReplyDelete
  77. why is coach looking so bummed?

    ReplyDelete
  78. I'm not an Ozzy hater. I just don't like him.

    ReplyDelete
  79. I just want him to keep it going. I know he comes across as arrogant, but he's fought hard to stay in. It would be nice to see him get to the F3 at least.

    Penny

    ReplyDelete
  80. I would like to see the Oz bring Coach down.....

    SueGee

    ReplyDelete
  81. I kinda like Sophie, but didnt like her just now. IF that is the real Sophie, then ick. (sorry Jackie)

    ReplyDelete
  82. Same reason I never liked Jeff on BB. Self-centered ass. Not my type.

    ReplyDelete
  83. I need a drink after that! So, FINAL! Drink up!

    ReplyDelete
  84. Ok - if someone here uses the word of the day (Final) we have to drink a shot!!

    SueGee

    ReplyDelete
  85. meb,

Who won more RI challenges: Ozzy or Christine? I really don't know, but she won like 5 and never even got back into the game.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Baby, just get a drink & climb onto my floatie with me.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Rochelle, he wanted Ozzy to be voted out!

    ReplyDelete
  88. KayceeFisher12/18/2011 9:09 PM

That Sophie is a total bitch!

Kudos, brains of the operation,I think you may just gotten yourself a seat on the jury.

    ReplyDelete
  89. My sexybabylove won't win make the final 3, but he certainly deserves America's vote.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Ozzy should be kind of arrogant. He's good at staying alive in this game. He just makes some poor choices. I just wish he'd do well. It was just like Matt the last time. He worked hard, too. I think he deserved better.

    Penny

    ReplyDelete
  91. Really? Rick has the best chance? Interesting. I wonder if it's the edit.

    ReplyDelete
  92. unbelievable that they (or anyone) still hate Ozzy for being an amazing player. He isnt a liar, a psycho or a backstabber...wtf

    ReplyDelete
  93. Joe, I don't know who won most either and that was a bummer for her too. I don't want Sophie to win... never have. Do I have to say Sorry Jackie too? LOL

Good for Ozzie. I really wouled like to see it down to Ozzie and Coach just to make it more exciting.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Pool is warm, you guys - jump in!

    ReplyDelete
  95. Ozzy's pretty hideously egotistical Petals. I was a big fan of his, but it's pretty easy to see that.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Ozzie just dug his own grave...:-(

    ReplyDelete
  97. If you have any sense you will vote out Coach. Oh, they should have done that a long time ago!

    ReplyDelete
  98. The best player of alltime is Ozzy. He did it all on his own, no coattails, no flying under radar, no deals or secret handshakes.

My Ozzy has gotten this far this many times for being AWESOME all on his own.
*sigh* and he is so goodlooking.
    (sorry punkin)

    ReplyDelete
  99. I don't understand why they keep the old Survivors around past the first couple of weeks! They seem to be drinking the koolaid or something!

    SG

    ReplyDelete
  100. Rochelle, I know - but IMO he deserves to have the attitude. Its all he has. He is the only one on his side (on the island).

    ReplyDelete
  101. That necklace looks so good on him, whew!

    ReplyDelete
  102. Gosh, Ozzy, you just doomed yourself. Really, you did...

    ReplyDelete
  103. I USED to be pulling for Sophie.

    ReplyDelete
  104. I think Ozzy should win for outplaying

    ReplyDelete
  105. wow, Ozzy, bring it! Whooo!!!
Arrogant or not, my man is right.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Honestly, Petals, for you it comes down to "he's good-looking". Period.

Is Ozzy a good athlete. Yes? Is he a good social player? No. Is he a good strategist? No. He may be the best physical competitor of all time but I don't think that makes him the best player of all time. I think Parvati, for one, is a better overall player.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Becky, right? Me too, but when she finally opened her mouth. she turned out to be a huge biotch.

    ReplyDelete
  108. You are so right SueGee. Why would you keep the ones who have played over and over.

Petal, you are so right. Ozzy has fought hard to stay in.

Sophie, your teammates have even thought about taking you out. It hasn't just been Ozzie. Toughen up.

    Penny

    ReplyDelete
  109. Sophie needs to remember the last vote where she only beat out Brandon by a vote!!

    SueGee

    ReplyDelete
  110. Joe, you're using my "real" life against me. It isn't all about looks.
Yes, Ozzy is totally gorgeous. BUT he is also an amazing player.
Dont hang Ozzy out to dry just because he is pretty. He has earned more than that.

    ReplyDelete
  111. SueGee and NickelPeed,

As Jeff himself has pointed out on his blog, veteran players are a tremendously useful resource in this game. The trick becomes using them for all they have and then knowing when to cut them loose. The problem is, they aren't necessarily veterans vs. newbies after a while. You are a tribe. You are friends. You are playing your own game and they are your ally. I think it is way too easy to underestimate that. For us they are characters on the TV. For them they are part of their life and their game.

    ReplyDelete
  112. Okay, they didn't show anyone else having their name written down. The was CBS likes to mislead us it sounds like Sophie will be safe!

    ReplyDelete
  113. OHHHHHH. SO they are going to have ACTUAL contenders, all, in the f-3 for once. This will be great!

    ReplyDelete
  114. I'm ready for a amaretto coffee can I make one for anyone else?

    Whipped or no?

    SueGee

    ReplyDelete
  115. Rick can be mad at Coach all he wants, but Coach either had to cut Sophie loose or Rick. Either way they had to feed on their own.

    ReplyDelete
  116. well, there goes all the hurt feelings. You'd think they all would know by now, not all can win this. Wow. I do believe they've put a fire underneath Sophie tho.

    Penny

    ReplyDelete
  117. Coffee please, SueG. Yes to whipped cream.

    ReplyDelete
  118. None for me SueGee- but thanks :-)

    ReplyDelete
  119. Sue, whipped! thank you :)

    ReplyDelete
  120. Guess it's time for me to whip out my famous final three fruit tart, with home made vanilla bean ice cream. Who wants some?? And does that go with the drinking game?

    ReplyDelete
  121. everyone left has on immunity
    but has coach won one

    ReplyDelete
  122. I understand what you are saying Joe. I know someone that was on the show and then on an all-star and the all stars didn't let him stay around long at all! He said that no one wanted to play with him any more LOL

    SueGee

    ReplyDelete
  123. I'm kinda pissed. I really dont understand how anyone can't love Ozzy.
    Yes, I am also hormonal, and I am how I am...sorry. :(
this has been a hard month.
    just venting.
    xoxox

    ReplyDelete
  124. That's a good point Petals - but isn't he like that in real life too? Innocent question!!

    ReplyDelete
  125. Sue - WHO??? Can you say?

    ReplyDelete
  126. I LOVE amaretto coffee - get a wide awake buzz LOL

    SueGee

    ReplyDelete
  127. look at my baby - up early and working.

    ReplyDelete
  128. Your all making me hungry! LOL

I am so glad I could be here. I had to talk my husband in to leaving to go to his home tomorrow morn. I don't have Internet there and there's only one TV. I could watch it, but everyone talks so much, I can't hear! LOL

    Penny

    ReplyDelete
  129. has coach gone more gray in the last 30 days???

    ReplyDelete
  130. Petals - remember someone that gave away the truck? Yau-Man

    SG

    ReplyDelete
  131. I made it to the party!!! What have I missed, lol?

    ReplyDelete
  132. Okay, now Coach is starting to crawfish!

    ReplyDelete
  133. Coach's hair color washed out??

    ReplyDelete
  134. Rochelle,
I dont know how he is in real life (all playing to the contrary).
I just know that he kicks ass, and he gets shit on for it.
Even if he werent handsome, I'd feel for him, because he works&wins, works&wins, works&wins...and still gets hated.
But I am kinda emotional lately.
    *glugging from drink*

    ReplyDelete
  135. Glad you could stay, Penny.

    ReplyDelete
  136. Boy, they are not being nice, are they? Does Coach really believe Ozzy believed him? This is a game where you just do not trust people.

I still do not see Ozzy getting further. I really did not want it to be so predictable, but it is.

    Penny

    ReplyDelete
  137. Monty!!!!!
    hey.

Ozzy told me that he doesnt do very well in this challenge, but I am screaming for him all the same.

    OOOOOZZZZYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

    ReplyDelete
  138. He should be happy to have such a loyal fan Petals!

    ReplyDelete
  139. I don't care what Ozzy looks like, Petals, you do. I'm not hanging him out to dry at all. I don't like him because he's a self-centered ass. Period. I don't like him. I respect his physicality as I said, but that's the end of it for me. He has no game beyond that and some of his "moves" were downright pathetic. Choosing to go to RI because they needed to get out Christine? Really, after she flipped off her old tribe. The whole Cochran double-agent gambit. The speeches that even Coach saw through in like 2 minutes.

Great physical competitor. One of the best ever along with Boston Rob (whom I also never liked for his arrogance, by the way). But Boston Rob was a much better social/strategic player.

Off the top of my head if I'm listing the greatest Survivor players of all time, I put all of the following above Ozzy (and maybe others):

    Parvati
    Russell
    Boston Rob
Richard Hatch (taught everyone how to play)
    Sandra
Brian Heidik (most arrogant ass ever)
    Tom Westman
    Terry Dietz
    Yul
    Todd Herzog

    ReplyDelete
  140. Shit, I hate how they always manage to show the ladies crotches in these challenges when they wear their suits

    ReplyDelete
  141. Interesting if it were Albert, Sophie and Ozzy in the f-3

    ReplyDelete
  142. Clearly this is why I love tennis: this is far too unpredictable.
I'm a Scorpio, I hate NOT knowing what is gonna happen. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  143. I've actually been amazed at how good Coach has been in challenges. I don't remember him actually being that good before.

    ReplyDelete
  144. she's a formidible opponent

    ReplyDelete
  145. This is a nail bitter. Come on Ozzy

    ReplyDelete
  146. I'm guessing Sophie is voting for Ozzy to go. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  147. Joe, stop.
    Let me love him.

    ReplyDelete
  148. Now Coach is acting like he's so part of the three? Poor OZzy looks like he's going to cry
and with good reason. He deserves to be at the end

    ReplyDelete
  149. Dang it. By Ozzie. Darn. Now we know.

    :-(

    Penny

    ReplyDelete
  150. Yeah Ozzy goes.

But he will win America's Player.

    ReplyDelete
  151. I tried to vote for Ozzie as America's player last week, but CBS would not let me vote! They kept saying my password did not match the name. I changed the password several times, got the same message every time.

    ReplyDelete
  152. You know Coach will vote for Ozzie to go.

    ReplyDelete
  153. Joe, I loved Yul. That was the season that got me totally hooked on Survivor. He showed how to use the idol in NOT USING the idol.

    ReplyDelete
  154. I don't know about your list, Joe.

Some of the best players were not winners. I really do not see Boston Rob as one of the all time best. He really wasn't. Other people's stupidity gave him a win.

I would definitely agree with Richard Hatch, being the first. The others, I don't know.

    ReplyDelete
  155. Haha, Coach relinquishes the Dragon Slayer title!

    ReplyDelete
  156. "bad guy"??? How???????

    GRrRRR!

    (trying not to get upset)

    ReplyDelete
  157. Ah, yes, Coach, yes, team, knock Ozzie down. Feel good. Yes, you all beat him. He's been beat before, so none of you are unique.

    Penny

    ReplyDelete
  158. I'm figuring the group will vote to Sophie, regardless who's going to be with her in the final three.. Albert doesn't deserve it if he's in F3, and people equally don't like Coach or Ozzie. MHO of course.

    ReplyDelete
  159. Rochelle, I would love some of the tart with lots of vanilla bean ice cream. I'm sure it's exactly what I need tonight!

    Is the Oz really out?

    ReplyDelete
  160. Oh, Coach, stop playing to the camera. We all KNOW what you will do!

    ReplyDelete
  161. I love Coach this time around. He was always good for the blog, but I actually really like him. No offense to Petals and the other Ozzy pool players, but he needs to vote him out tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  162. Coming right up Laurie -

Margo - FINALLY! Jump in! the water's fine!

    ReplyDelete
  163. It's all in their heads, Petal. Instead of going after each other, they have made Ozzie the target. Look at it as a compliment for them to think Ozzie as THE player to beat. It IS a compliment! They think he's the dragon. Dragons are tough and powerful. THAT IS Ozzie.

    ReplyDelete
  164. Hi MEB!!!

I am just now getting to read back a little

    ReplyDelete
  165. Speaking of Richard Hatch - he got out of jail again this week and was posting on FB that he is sooo innocent! That first season was great wasn't it? Before everyone got into "playing the game"

    SueGee

    ReplyDelete
  166. Laurie, Coach had given Oz his word as "a Christian man" and told the camera that when he did that his word was his bond.

Oz did not win immunity, so he is on the line. Now Coach is saying Ozzie "betrayed him.

    ReplyDelete
  167. Honestly, anyone who doesn't vote Ozzy out doesn't deserve to win. The jury is all former allies of Ozzy.

    ReplyDelete
  168. Oz told him that if Coach means what he always says, then let it go down to making fire against Albert. Sophie won immunity.

    ReplyDelete

  170. I, too, think Sophie will win this. I don't like her attitude towards the end, but I do think the jury members will NOT vote for Coach or Albert. I think Sophie has done enough for the win.

  172. I guess I have to say GO ALBERT!
He is my Avatar and my pool pick.

  173. Boston Rob (much as I don't like him) ranks as one of the best even before winning. He learned to play socially (and less arrogantly) over time. He was always maybe the best puzzle solver ever and as good a physical competitor as Ozzy.

My list isn't all winners. Terry Dietz didn't win. Russell didn't win. And even a couple of winners were also losers. Those were just a few I pulled out from memory and a list of winners. I also thought they were less controversial than choosing someone who played once and finished 5th as one of "the greats".

I'm not even saying those are definitely all the best. They are simply all players I would rank above Ozzy...even if he ended up winning tonight.

  174. Ozzie, you did it again....

  175. If Ozzy gets to final 3, he wins unanimously.

Of the other 3, Albert I think has no chance. Coach will win if they feel Sophie road his coat tails. Sophie wins if they are all mad at Coach
