The show is starting on time for a change. Woohoo! Alas, I'm expecting a quiet evening here due to the Oscar competition. I didn't see any of the films up for awards and have no plans to watch said gala event. I do plan to switch to the new Celebrity Apprentice premiere after TAR, though. Since getting to "know" George Takei (Mr. Sulu from Star Trek: The Original Series) via Facebook, I simply must catch him in action. He's very intelligent, has a fantastic insight into a tremendous array of things and sense of humor!
But, of course, this party is all about The Amazing Race! I'll be updating this post only with the really major events. I'm still in the process of figuring out the teams, so it's best that you all join me in the comments area where we don't really have to have the teams memorized! Teams ready?

The clowns, Dave and Cherie, were Philiminated. They didn't perform well, but I found them pleasant as a couple and possessing humor. I'd rather another team go.

ReplyDeleteJackie, I have only seen The Help. It was one of the best movies I ever saw. Since I was about the age of these characters AND from the South, I could understand what and why. Still laugh about the "Terrible Offer" in the movie. When I walked out I told my friends that Olympia (??) should get an Oscar for her role.

ReplyDeleteI haven't seen any of them, but have heard the Help is great. Rumors have it that The Artist will probably win. I just do not get how you can judge a silent movie for an Oscar. Maybe special effects, but best movie?

ReplyDeleteOT Some news.... our niece Carolyn was interviews by 20-20 about Canine Freestyle that she and her dog Rookie did for years. It is supposed to be on ABC on the 2nd.
ReplyDeleteCanine Freestyle is obedience moves set to music. If you go to You Tube and search for Carolyn and Rookie you can see them in action. Rookie looks like he smiling the entire time.
I just do not like Rachel. Never have. Her voice grates on the nerves so much.

ReplyDeleteWhen my husband and I were stationed in Florida, they had a clown school, there. I think it's still there. I think it's cool that the couple are husband and wife clowns. I wonder how much they laugh? ;-)
So far, I do not hate a team. I'm not too thrilled about Branden and Rachel, but I don't hate any of them.

I know there are few people who love Brenchel like I do, but half of that team is a proven winner. That girl will fight when her back is against a wall like nobody else. I like to see that on my TV.
