The Amazing Race: October 14 Episode Blog Party

Mind you, we shouldn't get used to this. We cannot expect it to happen every week. It would just set us up for disappointment. But ... the show is actually starting on time here on the East Coast.

As it airs, I'll update this entry with the major happenings. However, as always, the real excitement (and party) is in the comments. Come join us!

Caution: U-Turn ahead!

Roadblock: Who wants to serve a balanced meal? They must deliver twenty plates of food at once.

Detour -- Egg head, light their heads on fire to cook eggs. Or .. Lion's Head, join traditional procession, dress in costume, perform and parade.

It's a double U-Turn and teams who use it may remain anonymous. The first group on the first train had already agreed not to U-Turn anyone as they have a three hour lead. From there, it's on the way to the Pit Stop.

1. Abbie and Ryan - won a trip to Fiji
2. Trey and Lexi
3. James and Jaymes
4. Abba and James
5. Josh and Brent

The monster truckers U-Turned Gary and Will who are already in last place. Yeah, that makes sense.

6. Natalie and Nadiya
7. Monster truckers (Rob and Kelley)

Caitlin and Britany are lost while Gary and Will are frying eggs on their heads. They mistakenly thought the monster truckers were behind them and U-Turned them.

8. Gary and Will! (My blog pool pick team)
9. Caitlin and Britany -- Philiminated. Okay with me. They're annoying. They also expect foreign country natives to speak English. @@

  14. I am hanging in there, Penny. It is rough, but I am a tough old hen... most of the time. Thanks for asking.

Does the blond girl snorking when she laughs bug anyone else?

  17. For Big Brother fans, do NOT try the chocolate ice cream with melted peanut butter on top the Ian loves. It is addicting.

  18. Understand Sue; however, am not rooting for Giants since they beat my Reds. :-(

  25. Hey Penny I understand about the Giants/Reds...but cannot bring myself to root for the Yankees vs the Tigers who beat my A's. Really wanted another Bay Bridge World Series but w/o the quake!

  27. It might me a non elimination.

The two blondes are being nasty. Geesh.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Not as much as the twins, Becky ... but, yeah.

  29. SueGee, I agree with you. I'll never forget watching that game. Unbelievable. I am from NY, but I don't know who I'm rooting for. My brother is a rabid Yankee fan.

I can vote for the Cardinals, though.

  30. These girls are very rude. They are who gives new meaning to bad Americans.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Is it over yet? LOL. I'm about 30 minutes behind...

    ReplyDelete
  32. And do you speak THEIR language, Blondie?

    ReplyDelete
  33. How nasty. Glad the girls lost. Very, very rude. No, your arguing is what lost you the race.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Good, they are gone, snort, snort. Maybe the twins will go next, Jackie.

I am gone. See you guys at Survivor.

  35. It's over now, Joe. Well, not for YOU. You've been Double U-Turned.

    ReplyDelete
  36. You are right, Becky. I can't believe she said what she did. She's in THEIR country. Why should they know English. Stupid girl.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Thank you, Jackie. Appreciate it. See everyone Wednesday, then next Sunday.

Uh, oh, another Ugly American. :-(

  38. Finally got a chance to watch tonight's episode.

Glad the blondes are out. They really got under my skin over nobody speaking English. Agree that it's that kind of attitude that gives Americans a bad name.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I know I am a day late but after seeing the blondes comment on the lack of English speakers, I had to share my little joke with all of you.
If you speak more than 3 languages you are multi-lingual.
If you speak two languages you are Bi-lingual.
If you speak one language you are an American.
I learned this when I lived in Europe.
While I never became fluent in any of the languages of the countries I lived in, I did make an effort to always try to communicate in the local language. Local people were usually surprised to find out I was an American.
