Survivor: Kaoh Rong - March 23 Blog Party

Survivor fans ready? As the show airs, I'll update this entry with the major happenings -- refresh the page to get the latest news! As always, the real party is in the comments area. Please join us there. We like snacks. And beverages. Don't forget the beverages!

Lifeguard Laurie is running the pool and, supreme lifeguard she is, has the new tribes all down pat for us --

Blue - Chanloh
Cydney Gillon - Leo Lionharted, PDX Granny
Kyle Jason - Nana in the NW, Sharon N.
Michele Fitzgerald - Brian TCC, Kelsey NY
Nick Maiorano - Laurie, ML Debbie Wanner - meb, Rbennie
Neal Gottlieb - Merrilee, JoyzJenn

Yellow - Gondol
Tai Trang - Margo, anonymouse
Scot Pollard - Delee, Pinky
Joseph Del Campo - Grandi, Petals
Julia Sokolowski - Indiana Jane, Nickelpeed
Peter Baggenstos - Jackie, Tammy
Aubry Braco - Jennasmom, Glenn

Torchless
Darnell Hamiltonn - free play!
Jennifer Lanzetti - David, Paula Bell
Elizabeth Markham - Donna in FL, Terry is a Texan
Alecia Holen - Becky, Donna NY
Anna Khait - monty924 , SueGee from the Left Coast

Medical Evac
Caleb Reynolds - Ed in Ohio, Stephanie in Baltimore

Despite technical difficulties for most of the day with my Comcast signal, things seem to be working. I'm keeping my fingers crossed even though it makes for more typos.

Okay ... let's see how the new tribes rock the boat! (Although Lifeguard Laurie cautions that rocking the boat while in the pool is frowned upon.)

Hmm. Peter is trying to align with Tai and plant seeds that Joe needs to go if they head to Tribal again. That could backfire, y'know.

On the other tribe, Debbie is working on Nick. Now, I'm not thrilled with Nick. But he's smart enough to see through her. She's claiming to once modeling. Eek.

Tree Mail -- tribes release buoys from the floors of the ocean and throw them into baskets. Yikes. Now Debbie is referring to Nick as "Adonis." I personally don't get the beauty of Nick. Maybe it's just me.

Reward Challenge is the one to which tree mail referred. It's a Survivor picnic that's at stake. (Or, perhaps at steak.) What a surprise -- Scot is shooting the baskets for his tribe. It's Nice on the other side. Scot isn't doing any great moves. Nick is running ahead. Now they're tied. Scot redeems himself. Gondol wins the feast!

Since Michele set her tribe back originally by not quickly releasing the buoys, she feels she needs to get back in favor. Although, in the long run, they almost won despite her failure to do her part fast.

Huh. Now Peter has latched onto Julie with plans to get Aubry out, then Joe. Aubry thinks Julia should go. Both Joe and Aubry are a bit suspicious of Peter, Aubry more than Joe.

Michele got Debbie to say they're going to go after Jason. She goes to Nick and he tells her that she's the target. He wants to "keep her under his wing." She sees through that.

Joe knows that Peter is working against him. So, he confronts him and asks him to his face if he's trying to take him out. So, Peter lies. And Joe knows he's lying.

Immunity Challenge time! Both tribes work together to get through obstacles, two knock blocks down, then they stack the blocks. Tribe with the best teamwork will win.

Chanloh wins Immunity!

Now Aubry is having second thoughts about getting rid of Peter. She thinks they won't have the numbers if he goes. She wants Joe to talk to Peter and work it out. Peter still lies to him. Now Peter is turning towards getting Julia out with Joe and Aubry. Peter tells Scot they'll be voting Julia. Scot knows Peter is a snake. Tai and Julia try to convince Aubry that Peter's been scheming against her. Joe tells Aubry he's sticking to the plan to vote out Julia.

Well, we'll know soon ... it's time for Tribal Council and Jeff's Probsting questions to rile things up a bit.

Heh. They're all whispering Peter.

Time to vote.

The tally --
Peter, Julia, Peter, Julia, Peter, Peter.

There goes my pool pick. I'm a free agent.

The merge is on for next week!

  30. Nick did awesome, he'd better not be going home

    ReplyDelete
  31. I agree Monty. Let's play it smart & wait a little while longer.

Mr. NBA wasn't very good in the NBA either!!

    ReplyDelete
  32. He did a good job to be up against a professional.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Wow, that's disappointing for yellow.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  38. These mojitos are hitting the spot. What a day at work today trying to get a point across. I've lost my touch with it. Hopefully, I left a little bit of an impression... enough at least.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Penny & Becky I agree Jeff doth talk too much!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Petals, I cannot see Nick going home. He's too valuable to them.

    ReplyDelete
  41. David - I have silver fox Joe in the pool, but I like Tai - who is the quintessential underdog in this competition.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Agree, David and I've only been out for a week. I really didn't even know my girl because she was invisible up until the episode whe went home.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  51. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I work with really opinionated people, Becky. I'll put it that way, LOL

    ReplyDelete
  53. I would not trust Neal, but who know's about Debbie? I certainly would NOT trust Brawn. No way.

    ReplyDelete
  54. I managed to reverse my sleep/work routine, took a week, so now I an working when used to sleep and vise-versa. I am getting used to working this graveyard shift now. Figured out why I was first choice to do the switch, I am single without kids. lol

    ReplyDelete
  55. Monty, that could be any job out there. LOL. What do you teach?

    ReplyDelete
  56. I looked back up to see if there were any comments on Debbie when she said "I used to be a model, I did a lot of it". As what, the BEFORE pictures? I am old as dirt and about as attractive, but she makes me look like a pinup! I know, I am also tacky.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Well, David - at least you don't have to deal with rush hour traffic anymore. :)

    ReplyDelete
  58. Becky, LMAO!!!!! That was effing hilarious (the 'before' comment)

    ReplyDelete
  59. I used to work Mid-shift. I'm still a night owl because of that. Hardest part was sleeping in a residential area, with everyone else up and making noise. Now, I live in the country with quiet cows and sheep. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  60. David, you can save a lot of money being on graveyards! Work all day, sleep all night.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Oh, Becky, that is so funny!

Peter is talking waaaaay toooo much.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Joe is very lazy, there is no doubt about that.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Oh, another Secret Agent Man!

    ReplyDelete
  64. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  65. LOVE IT, JOE!! He is getting hard-core on Peter, HAAHAHA

    ReplyDelete
  66. Debbie could have made a good after model in a don't do drugs commercial also. =)

One of my "neighbors" has cows and sheep Penny. They can be noisy too. lol

    ReplyDelete
  67. wow - these challenges are so cool this year.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Oh definitely, Monty. No need to worry. Teaching is very hard.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Agree, Petals. I love the challenges this season.

    ReplyDelete
  70. I love these challenges, too, Petals. Very challenging. I do miss the Cowboy though.

    ReplyDelete
  71. This is going to be interesting getting it that high.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Jeff needs to SHUT UP!!! Yack, Yack Yack.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Good, Gondol can get rid of Peter

Bad storms here...tornadoes, hail (and a very drunk, jerk husband.)

    ReplyDelete
  74. Peter's got a temper. I wonder if Gondol is going for the beauty again?

    ReplyDelete
  75. I like Peter. I hope he doesn't go. I also like Joe, but he is lazy. Just stay away from the little guy.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Fill me in ... please. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  77. thanks Penny. We're ok so far. I hope we don't lose power, I hate that!

SPeaking of which, Jackie had mentioned that her cable was iffy for tonight due to servicing (I think)...so that's where she is. :(

    ReplyDelete
  78. My husband made me laugh at the Superman vs Batman. I asked him who was going to win. He said it depends on if Batman has kryptonite. If he doesn't, he's going to get his butt kicked. However, the writers can make it any way they want. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  79. Penny, I just went back and read my comment to David. I got it backa$$ward.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Still 20 minutes to go. This must be a rough tribal coming up or they are going to spend a lot of time on the tribe before.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Okay, of topic....Jackie. Is Shemar Moore leaving Criminal Minds?

    ReplyDelete
  82. dang, I hate that I am missing this

    ReplyDelete
  83. I knew what you meant, Becky.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Can we just say good-bye to Peter tonight and get it over with?

    ReplyDelete
  85. Penny - the critics aren't happy about the Batman v Superman, but the audiences will LOVE it. I wonder how Ben will do in the batsuit.

    ReplyDelete
  86. ^5 Monty. He's so smarmy.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Julia can't seem to catch a break

    ReplyDelete
  88. What's the blondes name talking to Tai now? I think I like her. She knows what's going on with Peter and she has to get in with the tribe because she was out last week in isolation. GET RID OF PETER!!

    ReplyDelete
  89. Dang it. They're going after Julia....my pool pick. Crap. Please Scot talk to them about 3 on a 3 vote. Tai, stay with them.

Tai can change it totally. You watch. They'll stay with Julia. UGH!!!

    ReplyDelete
  90. No, Tai... get rid of Peter

    ReplyDelete
  91. Tai, you are a snake. Dang, going against all your ex-team mates. Darn it.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Petals - they're debating: Julia or Peter.

    Here comes tribal.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Well here goes motor mouth Jeff! Conducting tribal

    ReplyDelete
  94. Julia making sense at tribal. Come on girl... hang on

    ReplyDelete
  95. I just can't believe they do not want to do a tie. Tai is so fast to vote against him ex-Beauty tribe. They were strong before, but it's like he's totally gone against them.

    ReplyDelete
  96. I can't help with what's going on Petals. show starts here in 10 minutes. lol

    ReplyDelete
  97. Tai and Scot are so connected. They are going with their original plan: Peter. Right????

    ReplyDelete
  98. If they do not break up the Brains, they all will be taken out, one by one. If it's Julie this week, it'll be Tai the next. Dumb.

Maybe it'll switch it to Peter, which that's what it looks like.

    ReplyDelete
  99. lOl, ok david...

    Hey - it's back!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  100. quick-moving storm, whew!

    ReplyDelete
  101. I think Peter's gone. Julie looked really happy there

    ReplyDelete
  102. I hope they stick with this. If they do, it will be Peter. But if it's all talk, it's Julia.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Yes! I think I'm likin' this!!

    ReplyDelete
  104. Yikes, no idea. Was Peter cocky during Tribal?

    ReplyDelete
  105. They make it look like they all changed their minds, but I don't think so. I think it will be Julia...I hope not

    ReplyDelete
  106. Audry switched her vote. Bye bye Peter

    ReplyDelete
  107. YEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! LOVE IT!

    ReplyDelete
  108. YAYAYAYAYAYAY. It's Peter!!!

    ReplyDelete
  109. hahaha Aubrey flipped!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  110. YYYYeeeeeeessss!

    Sorry Jackie

    ReplyDelete
  111. I'm glad Aubry changed her mind. Good going.

    ReplyDelete
  112. his mouth got him in to trouble...that cocky attitude. Buh-BYE!

    ReplyDelete
  113. Hey Ed, Sue Gee and David. We may want to hitch up to Julia's wagon now. She showed she knows how to play the game of Survivor.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Well, my girl is saved for one more week. Sorry Jackie. Aubrey made the right decision.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Petals -- I've been regularly updating the post itself. My cable has been working okay despite them saying until 10pm.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Petals, he wasn't cocky... he actually looked lost there. I'm just happy that the brains didn't keep that alliance intact. I'm not rooting for any of them, including Debbie :))

    ReplyDelete
  117. Yes Monty, I was just thinking the same thing! Julia's got my vote!! We gonna' need a tribe/pool name now. Ha ha

    ReplyDelete
  118. Might have to consider that monty. Sorry about your pool pick Jackie...not. =)

    ReplyDelete
  119. Jacvkie, thank you for hosting. I hope all of you have a wonderful Easter. If you will be on the road, drive safe. If you hide the eggs (especially boiled ones and inside) write down where so you can find them all. When our children were young there was one egg we never found. I have often wondered when the motel found it!

    ReplyDelete
  120. Thanks Jackie =)

Everyone have a great week. =)

    ReplyDelete
  121. I didn't care for my pool pick anyway!

    ReplyDelete
  122. YAY, MERGE. Yayay.

G'Nite All! Have a great weekend!

    ReplyDelete
  124. No TAR again this week, Penny.

    ReplyDelete
  125. Thank you Jackie, sorry your cable was messed-up :(

Love seeing everyone! See you all next week. xoxoxo

    Happy Easter, God Bless

    ReplyDelete
  126. Thanks Jackie and all. Will see you all next week. Have a great rest of the week and weekend and Happy Easter!!
