Amazing Race fans ready? Let's GO!

Teams have to find certain cars in Chamonoix  to get their next clue. Then they're going up to the top of the highest mountain in Europe in a gondola car. They're set for a mountain hike. In ice and snow, of course. They're going up with mountain guides.

Yikes! They have to ascend snow stairs and then take a hand powered kind of zip line among high peaks to retrieve their clue.

Detour: Dynamite -- must deliver explosives and lunch to experts. After the pros explode the dynamite to control avalanches, they will get their next clue. Campsite has them setting up a snow camp.

The dynamite detour is very treacherous ... especially for those afraid of heights.

Alpha Boys Kurt and Brodie are in the lead. The Roadblock has them para-gliding and answering a question regarding it to get the next clue.

Erin and Joslyn are wandering about clueless looking for lunch.

Now Tyler has overtaken the Alpha Dude. (Alpha Dude crashed on take-off.) Tyler spots the (clue) Yeti with a Frnech flag.

Cole is having issues with the heights. Poor guy.

Pit Stop:
1. Tyler and Korey - won a trip to the Phillipines
2. Brodie and Kurt (Alpha Boys)
3. Dana and Matt
4. Scott and Blair
5. Zach and Rachel

Erin just can't get the take-off done.

6. Burnie and Ashley
7. Cole and Sheri
8. Erin and Joslyn - Philiminated.

The next episode will air April 1st. I assume that's due to March Madness basketball.

  1. ~~~SPLASH~~~ Thank you, Jackie, for hosting us. Greatly appreciated.

Hi Jackie, Vincent and all who follow!!!

Hopefully, I'll stay awake. I am soooooo tired!

  2. Hey, Jackie and Penny. Then there were three.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Hi Jackie, Penny and BEcky. Well my team was Philiminated last week and the brothers are gone so I'm not sure to who to root for. :((

    ReplyDelete
  4. Hi Monty. My people are still in, but I was disappointed that the brothers were philiminated last week, too.

    ReplyDelete
  5. I am cold just looking at them. Speaking of cold -- well, the opposite -- our temperature is supposed to be pushing 90 Sunday.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Hey, Monty. I need to see who I have again.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Doing two things at once again tonight so I may be in and out. Making Irish Cream Brownie's for a St. Paddy's day thing tomorrow. I know it's early but we're weird that way, LOL

    ReplyDelete
  8. Penny, my team was Jessica and Brittany, but I really liked the brothers.

  9. I will never forget taking the gondola up that and seeing an avalanche. There was this little lone cottage at the bottom and it was covered. As far as we were told, the cottage was empty. I would never do what they're doing, tho. It sure is beautiful up there, though.

  10. Holy, Moley!I would take myself out of the race right there.

    ReplyDelete
  11. As long as it's not humid, I do not mind 90 degrees.

    ReplyDelete
  12. My team was the first team out!

    ReplyDelete
  13. I'm an oddity. I'm terrified of heights, but I love roller coasters (the taller the better) and I would love to go zip lining, but I couldn't do that.

    ReplyDelete
  14. My team is Sherry and Cole. Penny, I am used to hot weather. I live in South Texas. I wouldn't do well in a cold climate.

Penny, you have traveled a lot.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Oh, have to agree with Penny on the temp vs. humidity thing. I would love to live somewhere when I retire in 90 degree weather, but not with the humidity. Arizona is my dream location. Went to Vegas one year and it never dropped below 100* the whole week and I never broke a sweat. Dry heat is tolerable.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Several reasons I couldn't do that. My lungs would never take it.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Jumpin' in late! Was on the phone and watching the news. I'm not too comfortable with heights so I don't mind what I missed.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Lol, hi Ed. I was freaking out just watching it.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I don't care for the humidity, but if it is high we just stay inside with the AC.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Welcome to the No Way, Jose Club, Ed.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I don't like cold weather, either, Becky, even though I grew up in it. We spent 12 years in warm weather states. When he wanted to be stationed in his home state during his last years in the Air Force, I was disappointed. I wanted warm weather. LOL

I love roller coasters; and would love to zip line; but I could not do this.

Monty, I liked the Southern California weather where we were stationed. It was right next to the Mojave Desert, and was dryer. I like Arizona, too. Dry heat, I can handle. Humidity makes my sinuses swell up and harder to breath.

    ReplyDelete
  22. This poor woman. Dang, I don't want them in last place.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I agree Becky...NO WAY!

I like speed so I can take roller coasters ...it's over quick. But when I'm stationary at heights I'm uncomfortable.

90's & dry work for me too!

  24. Okay, I would love this. I love para gliding. The last time I did that, I could see all these sharks in the ocean. That is the only time I panicked because all I could think of was the theme to Jaws. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  25. I can't believe this season. It is an AMAZING race! CBS really stepped up this show and Survivor this time.

    ReplyDelete
  26. They really have, Becky. Some of these things are amazing. The best challenges I've seen so far.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Exactly, Ed. That's how I handle coasters and things like Drop Tower. It's over soon, LOL. Penny, I would freak gliding over water even without the sharks, and I'm a good swimmer. Same reason I will never visit Hawaii. I can't fly over the water that long. :))

    ReplyDelete
  28. THAT is hilarious! A Yeti with a French flag! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  29. Did he say, "Holy Calgon"?

    ReplyDelete
  30. There would be a stream of yellow you know what behind me.

    ReplyDelete
  31. It was so fun, though, Monty. I never thought about the ocean having sharks that close to the shore, but apparently, they are there all the time. When I hit the water, I almost had a panick attack because the weight of the parachute and equipment just about pull you under. But, obviously, I lived. LOL It was worth flying, though.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Okay, Tyler and Korey are cute. They may be my root for team now.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Is it time for a non-elimination round? If ever there was a time for one it is now. Oh, my team is in last place.

    ReplyDelete
  34. At least it's a warm place!

    ReplyDelete
  35. That would be my luck. Face down in the snow, lol

    ReplyDelete
  36. Okay, I'm just realizing that the photographer are RIGHT there. What are they flying in? Or do they have the camera in their parachute.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Scott and Blair are fun too. Loving this season.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Penny, I think they're holding a go pro out in front of them

    ReplyDelete
  39. This might be one of the 'wildest' legs I've ever seen on this show!

    ReplyDelete
  40. I bet that is what the lead person is carrying....a camera.

  41. While we're on commercial. In case anyone would like this recipe. So great and you can change up the food coloring for other things like Easter, Christmas, Valentine's Day, etc.

    Irish Cream Swirl Brownies
    Ingredients:
1 package (family-size) fudge brownie mix
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    8 oz cream cheese softened
    ¼ cup sugar
    2 tablespoons flour
    ¼ cup Irish cream liqueur
    1 egg
    ¼ teaspoon green food coloring
    Directions:
Prepare browning mix as directed, adding teaspoon vanilla. Reserve 1 cup of the batter.
Spread remaining batter in greased 9” pan.
Beat cream cheese, flour and sugar in a medium bowl on medium with electric mixer until smooth.
Add Irish liqueur, egg and food coloring and beat until blended. Pour over brownie batter layer in pan.
Drop reserved brownie batter by spoonfuls over batter and cut in swirls with a knife.
Bake as directed on package for a 9” cake pan.
Cool in pan on wire rack. Cut into squares and serve with ice cream if desired.

  42. That para-gliding looks absolutely amazing. I've para-glided back in my more adventurous days, but never with scenery like that!

    ReplyDelete
  43. The stick thing they are holding is a camera, dollar to a donut.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Hello everybody. =)

Work switched me to graveyard to take care of some problems they were having and I slept through survivor and just woke up now. This is a hard adjustment. I don't remember it being this hard when I was younger to do graveyard. I actually liked it. lol

  45. Hello David. Better late than never. I used to do a swing shift thing in college. That was rough. Two evenings, two midnights and one day shift. Unbelievable how that messes with you even in your 20's.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Hey David! Our pool guys are safe for another week.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Oh, good. Sheri is no longer last. Sorry if any of you have one of the other teams.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I hope this in a non-elim just for what they had to go through on this leg.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Gooo Alpha dudes =) Yep, our pool pick are still in there.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Thanks for the recipe Monty! I'll copy it & give it to my daughter.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Wow. I wonder if they'll ever have a non-elimination?

    ReplyDelete
  52. You'll love them, Ed. This was probably the best episode of the race ever. Thanks Jackie and everyone for the company. Have a great weekend.

    ReplyDelete
  53. David, my husband always hated graveyards. I can't believe this is not a non-elim round. I don't think there has ever been a challange this hard.

Jackie, thanks for hosting. See you next Wed everyone. LYM

    ReplyDelete
  54. G'Nite you all! Have a Good Weekend...loose an Hour!

    Thanks Jackie!

    ReplyDelete
  55. I am surprised this was not a non-elimination leg. Too bad for them.

    Thanks Jackie. =)

Everyone have a great weekend. I think I will use it to adjust my sleeping schedule.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Thank you, thank you, Jackie. Appreciate you giving us a place to party. Love coming here!

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

I'll see you all on Wednesday. I am so bummed Caleb was medi-vac out. He was so much more bearable this time out. He was very strong. I just hope they give him another chance.

    See everyone the next time!!!
