Amazing Race fans ready? Let's GO!

Teams are on their way to Geneva, Switzerland. All teams are to be on the same flight, so we have a bunching point. Lots of talk about Blair having a crush on Brodie. Hmm. It seems like he kind of likes her, too!

The first clue leads them to a place which doesn't open until morning. So, Brodie and Blair got in some cuddle time.

Detour: Workbench or Bench Work -- They have to assemble 27 Swiss Army Knives. Or, the latter is saying how many people can sit on the bench touted as the longest in the world.

Both Detours seem quite tough.

Although Brodie and Kurt made it through the bench sitting/counting spaces first and shared their answers, the others in that detour had to go through the motions again. They're the first through to the next clue, then Tyler and Korey finished the knives detour. So, the two leading teams are leading once again.

Brittany and Jessica didn't get the Alpha Boys answer, so they seem to be the only ones still stuck on the bench.

One thing I've noticed with these basically younger Internet quasi-related teams is that the teams are more friendly with each other than we've seen in many other seasons. That may change when the win gets closer. But there's no animosity between teams.

Roadblock: "Who is Having a Banner Day?" Teams have to identify ten flags of ten countries which were original members of the United Nations. (Where's Sheldon Cooper and Fun With Flags?)

Burnie and Ashley get done first and are headed to France for the Pit Stop.

Brittany and Jessica are the last team to arrive at the Roadblock. The remaining teams there are all already working together and they feel shunned.

Now, after two separate groups taking two different trains, all the teams are on the same connecting train heading to the Pit Stop ... except Brittany and Jessica.

1. Brodie and Kurt first - 3,000 each
2. Tyler and Korey
All the other teams converged on the mat so quickly, I lost track.

  10. C'mon, they are in Switzerland, make them shovel snow or chase a Saint Bernard to get his booze. =)

  11. Hey, David. If I were racing with my husbandwe could do the knifes. If not I would be bouncing down the bench. I think they have better callenges this year.

  12. Make chocolate, use snow shoes, make fondue.

    ReplyDelete
  13. I do, too, Becky. I really like many of the challenges.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I love them asking for help in the wrong language

    ReplyDelete
  15. Yes, they have had some better challenges. Don't want to see a repeat of the chop onions for the vender on the beach one.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Switzerland speaks like 5 languages and just about everyone speaks English. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  17. These guys sure like to share answers

    ReplyDelete
  18. Only to the ones they like. Haha

    ReplyDelete
  19. Dang, Yahoo is shutting down their games site in May. sorry OT.

    Gooo Brodie and Kurt. =)

  20. Weren't these ladies the ones who asked what country was Switzerland in?

    ReplyDelete
  21. Penny, you seem to know about a lot of the countries. Did you travel?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Yes, I was stationed in Germany four years with the Air Force. Traveled all over Europe. Loved it.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Switzerland was one of my favorite countries. So beautiful. Took a gondola up the Matterhorn and witnessed an avalanche. Was unbelievable.

    ReplyDelete
  24. This is a cool challenge. I would never ever be able to figure this out. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  25. I did not know Yahoo had games

    ReplyDelete
  26. I used to work with a woman that was from an Italian valley in Switzerland. Had an Italian name and Italian was her first language. Of course as a grown woman she spoke 6 or more languages

    ReplyDelete
  27. The flags would be tough for me. They barely teach anything about US history in school now, let alone world history.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Yes, SueGee, Switzerland is one of the few countries in Europe who speak so many languages. They have people from all over living there. We met a lot of people who spoke French. I wish I could speak all those languages.

I'm curious, why do they not want to help the two women? Are they that bad?

    ReplyDelete
  29. Why do people do that. I could understand if they were horses patoots, but she has been nice.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I met a man from Switzerland the other day. He was in New Jersey for business. (I'd rather be in Switzerland for business -- mixed with pleasure!) He said he was enjoying the shopping here and thought NJ and NYC were great!

    ReplyDelete
  31. I think they're just happy that another team will be the definite last one. Had she arrived more timely, I bet they would have had her working with them. But that's the second time they've come in way later than the others on a task.

    ReplyDelete
  32. That is so mean and childish. I hate that name Blodie. Yuck.

    ReplyDelete
  33. These people are so two faced

    ReplyDelete
  34. Thanks Jackie, didn't realize they've been late before.

Jackie, I've talked to people who dreaded coming to America, but loved it when they got here. One of my overseas friends went Chicago for her son's graduation from Law School. She was so scared because of everything people had told her about America. Her first day, she fell in love with it. She said it just surprised her how nice every one was. People went out of their way to help her and make her feel welcomed. I said....of course!! LOL

  35. I think the girls have given up

    ReplyDelete
  36. Wow, whens the non elimination?

    ReplyDelete
  37. These are internet people. Not going to look good on them for doing that to the girls.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Jackie, I know their reasoning. But I don't think it was fair. That is why I couldn't play Amazing Race or Survivor. I am not a liar, a misleader of someone who would do something like that.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Thank you so much, Jackie. Appreciate this so much. Will see everyone next week. Won't be here for Survivor, though.

    Have a wonderful weekend everyone.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I hope to see you all on Wednesday night! Missed everyone last week!

Good night and have a great weekend!!

  41. I liked the models the least.
    Dolores in Hollywood, Fl..

  42. Penny - I had friends come in from England to NYC. Their favorite restaurant ended up being a Friday's! They loved the meat on the bone (Mad Cow at home back then) and the portions for the money.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I don't think it was fair, either, David and Becky. I feel sorry for the girls.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Too bad they had to get eliminated that way.

    Thanks Jackie =)

    Everyone have a great weekend.

    ReplyDelete
  45. We were there for the Mad Cow scare. Now, we can never give blood. I can't because I'm too anemic, but Jim used to give all the time because of his blood type.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Thank you all for coming by tonight!

    ReplyDelete
  47. Thanks again, Jackie. Catch you next week.
