Survivor: Game Changers - May 17 Episode Blog Party

Everybody ready? Got your snacks? Got your tasty adult beverages? As the show airs here on the east coast, I'll be live-blogging with all the major happenings. Refresh the page to see the latest news! But, as always, the real party is in the comments area. I hope to see you there!

Here's the updated pool from the Lovable Lifeguard Laurie:

Andrea Boehlke - Indiana Jane, ML
Aubry Bracco - Ed in Ohio, meb
Brad Culpepper - Brian, Sharon N
Cirie Fields - Leonia Hart, Terry is a Texan
Michaela Bradshaw - David, Jackie
Sarah Lacina - Delee, Rbennie
Tai Trang - Cheryl in NC, Sharon C
Troyzan Robertson - Donna in Alabama, Lifeguard Laurie

JURY
Hali Ford
Ozzy Lust
Debbie Wanner
Zeke Smith
Sierra Thomas

Survivor fans ready?

Andrea is a bit leery of Sarah. Of course, she doesn't know that Sarah hoodwinked Sierra, turning the vote against her to get the promised Legacy Advantage. Now Sarah has two advantages -- a steal a vote one and the Legacy one which promises her immunity when the castaway count is down to six. Meanwhile, Cirie knows that Sarah's up to all kinds of sneaky stuff. But that's okay with her -- it would make her easier to win against at the end.

Whoa! Right to an Immunity Challenge. One hand steadies a balance board while the other hand builds a house of cards. Hmm. Aubry wins it in six minutes!

Aubry wants Brad out. Michaela goes out in the woods to see if Brad is looking for an idol. She suggests he needs to go fishing and bring back some fish. He doesn't buy it. Andrea is still leery of Sarah. Cirie and Sarah are contemplating ousting Andrea.

Right to Tribal. They're wasting no time tonight! A lot of questions about good game play or good relationships winning the game. Culpepper votes Andrea for the third time.

The Tally:
No, it's a commercial.
Andrea, Brad, Andrea, Brad, Andrea, Andrea, Andrea.

She's the sixth member of the jury.

Cirie now thinks Aubry needs to go, she can't really trust her. Cirie is thinking Tai consoling Aubry is suspicious. Uh-oh, Tai!

Yikes! It's immediately time for Immunity on the show (albeit daylight for them). Perched on a post in the ocean, bucket, pour water down a chute to raise key, unlock puzzle pieces, solve puzzle.

Hey, Michaela is actually in the lead, followed quickly by Troyzan. Cirie, as usual, is rather sucking at this one. She almost wins it.

Brad Culpepper wins Immunity!

Cirie says, that since Brad is safe, someone who's a threat to her must go. Hmm. Sarah? Tai?Aubry?

Troyzan says he'll bring his idol and use it if needed at Tribal.

Aubry thinks it's Tai who needs to go. Sarah gives Cirie her advantage of steal a vote to get her trust. Now, she plans to take Sarah's vote. Oy! Cirie wants to convince Tai he's safe in case he has an idol (he has two). She works on him. She tells him all will be voting for him. He's a bit skeptical. He's terrified, he says.

Tribal time once again.

Cirie stands up and says there's a rat in the group and takes away a vote from Sarah. Sarah points out that the advantage isn't transferable. Oh my. She's right! Sarah is the only person who can use it! Yipes, Cirie! All goes to whispers about voting out Tai or Cirie or Sarah.

Sarah takes Tai's vote. She will vote twice, Tai won't vote.

The tally ... Tai does not play an idol.

Tai, Tai, Aubry, Michaela, Michaela, Michaela, Michaela.

Wah! She's my pool gal!

Next week is the two-hour season finale and hour reunion!

  2. ~*~*~*~*~* SPLASH ~*~*~*~*~*

Ready, Ms Jackie! Hello Vincent *scritcha*
    Hello everyone!

I have BBQ'd country ribs with sweet & spicy sauce with biscuits to soak-up the juice,
and of course, a case of cool Stella!

  3. So Sierra is officially on the list of Top 10 Most Idiot Moves in Survivor History (when she told Sarah about her advantage)

    ReplyDelete
  4. Good evening everyone!!

I'm jumping in the pool tonight! Too damn hot in NY!

Ooo, I have wine... by the bucketful

    ReplyDelete
  5. I like Andrea. Sarah really isn't much better. Just me.

  6. ~~~~~~SPLASH~~~~~~

Can't wait to get started!! Hi to Jackie & Vincent and all those in the pool!!

Fresh cherry pie (from the local orchards) and some ice cream for the top

  7. I agree with you Petals. Sierra fell for it. It gives Sarah a huge advantage. She'll probably make it to the end with the two advantages, unless they blindside her.

    ReplyDelete
  8. I don't know. It is Survivor and that was quite the move by Sarah to get that Legacy Advantage. I can respect that!

    ReplyDelete
  9. Yes, it was quite a move, Jackie. Is this a double elimination??

    ReplyDelete
  10. Hi everyone. =)

Hope everything turned out great for you Jackie, and you got the relief you were after.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Poor Michaela, she just doesn't get a good break.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Yes, Jackie, hope you are doing well. How you feeling, now?

    ReplyDelete
  13. Hey TBC, David, Penny, Sue, Ms Laurie, Penny and bf Joe :)

    ReplyDelete
  14. Dang it. This wind is killing them.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Yeeeeks, Michaela just doesn't have a steady hand...

    ReplyDelete
  16. Double elimination night??

    ReplyDelete
  17. Wow - wtg Aubrey (who IS she?) LOL

    ReplyDelete
  18. Okay, they'll go after Andrea, of course. Unless, she turns the tables, she will be voted out. Jackie, it must be a double elimination, right?

    Next week is the finale.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Yes, they're promising two tribal councils tonight. And, eh ... okay with the leg here.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I don't get that "Go Fish" thing. What did I miss?

    ReplyDelete
  21. I liked Aubrey last time she was on, but she has been so quiet this round

    ReplyDelete
  22. Can you walk on it, Jackie? Or are you on a crutch?

    ReplyDelete
  23. That Cieri is a very smooth talker. Very sly.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Sarah looks like someone pulled the head off a Cabbage Patch doll and put it on a GI Joe body!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Grr. I just don't like it when someone who is a "smooth talker" (Cirie, Richard Hatch, Sandra) can win the game, but Ozzy can't. This game is almost geared so that the stronger players have no chance of winning, ever.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Yeah, that's about it, Petals. But, I do think Andrea's gone. She's right, though, Sarah should be the one going, but it won't happen.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Why do they dislike Andrea? She's playing well this time, IMO.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Cirie has always been a force behind the scenes in the seasons she's been on. Very good at dropping hints that others think of as their ideas

    ReplyDelete
  29. Have to agree with you Petals regarding the smooth talkers. Never could understand how they can't see right through Cirie. She brings nother else to the table but her gift of gab.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Sarah's going to get to the final because of her advantages.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I can walk on it.

The game is to Outwit, Outplay, Outlast. The winners over the years have done so. Manipulation is certainly a big part of the game.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Hey, Jackie and fellow peeps. Having to watch in the living room. Sound is off on the TV. So I will be slow to respond.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Ohh ... an ad for Big Brother -- June 28th!

    ReplyDelete
  34. That's definitely true, Jackie. Painfully true. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  35. Yeah, yeah Jackie, I know. But it just irks me when a non-physical player wins such a physical game. Like, they belong on Big Brother or something.
Or maybe I just won't be happy until Ozzy wins.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I don't want Andrea to go, but I think it will be here. Sadly.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Crap. Big mistake, but I knew it was going to happen. Dang it.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Darn Ceieri. Oh well. I can not believe I'm saying this, but I'm rooting for Michaela and Aubry. Darn.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Ceieri is playing both sides. I don't know what she's talking about with Tai, she does the same thing.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I'm with you, Petals. Pass a Stella, please.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I just don't get this. Some of the most unphysical people do the best on this game. It happens a lot.

    ReplyDelete
  42. *STELLA! for Ms Becky* ~~~~~> slide

    ReplyDelete
  43. Penny, I am rooting for Michaela, too.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Cirie barely swims - water challenges are not her forte

    ReplyDelete
  45. I hope Aubrey or Michela win. Okay with Brad. No, not Sara.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Sarah doesn't have to worry. She's got a good alliance. Her two advantages put her automatically in the finals if she plays it right.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Michaela is not good at puzzles, is she?

    ReplyDelete
  48. Sue - this pie is amazing! I've been craving cherry pie, YUM!

    ReplyDelete
  49. Crap. Now, they'll go after Aubry. Crap.

    ReplyDelete
  50. No, she isn't, Becky. She's more physical. They'll take out Aubry. I think.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Next week I'll make one of my famous cheesecakes with the cherry topping

    ReplyDelete
  52. If Brad is off the table, then maybe Tai??

    ReplyDelete
  53. Is that a hernia on Culpepper? His mid-low R abdom area? A small golfball size bump just under the skin?

    ReplyDelete
  54. I do not like Cirie much this year. She has not done a thing besides being a smooth talker.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Cheesecakes sounds good, SueGee.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Maybe get Sarah to show her hand?

    ReplyDelete
  57. It's his identity chip ROFL

    ReplyDelete
  58. Nom nom, Sue. I used to make a pumpkin cheesecake that my (ex)mother in law SWORE had to be store-bought. It wasn't, but it was a LOT of trouble.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Jackie - I hope you got some kind of treat in your delivery today since they trashed your ice cream

    ReplyDelete
  60. NO tai! Dont listen!!! Turn away!!

    ReplyDelete
  61. Even if Tai thinks Cirie is telling the truth, she says they are "all" out to get him. Stealing one vote wouldn't matter. He should still play the idol.

    ReplyDelete
  62. He needs to use the idol. But, they want to flush it out anyway. I think they are getting rid of Aubry

    ReplyDelete
  63. LOL - off-topic grocery story: I ordered some broccoli/pasta cheesy frozen dinner thing. They "substituted" it for a Mickey Mouse-shaped mac & cheese with corn. She asked, is that ok? I tried to be nice, but ultimately admitted that NO, no way. She took it back and credited my card.
But usually, they get it right (I use Walmart Grocery) I haven't been inside a grocery store in months. Whew

    ReplyDelete
  64. Tai has two idols and I'm not sure how many know that

    ReplyDelete
  65. Yes, Joe - it's hysterical!

    ReplyDelete
  66. oh no!
    I HATE this nonsense.

Tribal outta control. It's like the airlines lately - WTF ?!?!?!

    ReplyDelete
  67. Cirie just blew up her own game. And now Tai knows he has to play his idol

    ReplyDelete
  68. Did Tai bring his idols?

    ReplyDelete
  69. I don't know why Michaela is blaming Tai for the drama

    ReplyDelete
  70. They are trying to flush it out anyway. What did Tai do wrong?

    ReplyDelete
  71. Grrr.. I truly despise Sarah.

    ReplyDelete
  72. why the hell would Tai NOT use the idol?

    ReplyDelete
  73. I love these tribals

    ReplyDelete
  74. I do not like Sarah either, Petals

    ReplyDelete
  75. Why the HELL didn't they take out Cirie?

    ReplyDelete
  76. Oh no!! Bye Michaela, sorry.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Thank you for hosting us, Jackie. It's greatly appreciated. Will see everyone next week for the finale. But, I won't be here tomorrow night for TAR.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Cirie is going to always be there for the picking - never won anything, specially immunity

    ReplyDelete
  79. I know Michaela was never popular, but JEEPERS, if you are Sarah how can you trust Cirie after the whole advantage drama. Taking out Michaela is just gratuitous IMHO. She's an ally of Cirie, but why take out #2 when you could take out #1`.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Never before have they had their little conferences at Tribal. Not sorry to see Tai go. Wish it was Sarah. But Tai will do.

    ReplyDelete
  81. TAR is a double show and on an hour early tomorrow night

    ReplyDelete
  82. They probably didn't take her out because they now perceive her as an advantage to take to the end, hoping nobody will vote for her. They flushed out these advantages.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Yes, thank you Ms J. I hope your leg heals swiftly.

    Love seeing everyone. XOXOXO

    ReplyDelete
  84. Darn; and I'm going to miss TAR. Will have to make sure I DVR both hours.

    ReplyDelete
  85. I also don't understand Tai sitting on the idol there. She stole HIS vote. He knew at that point that Cirie was targeting him. And he can't know that Sarah wasn't also going to target him. That's awfully trusting. Especially when he had an idol to burn.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Nooooooo, should have been Cirie. I am out of the pool also Jackie =/

    Thanks Jackie. =)

    Everyone have a great week.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Finale? Already??? Nooooooooooo

    ReplyDelete
  88. Thank you all for coming!

    ReplyDelete
  89. Yep, and, then the following week it's TAR's.

    ReplyDelete
  90. I wish that was a 2 hour show... that was the fastest hour ever!

    Have a great week everyone.

Thank you, Jackie!! As always, it was a fun night.

    Finale!! Nooo

    ReplyDelete
  91. Jackie, thank you for hosting. Will be here next week. I have missed so much of Amazing Race that I have no interest in it this year. Night, Vincent, tell your mom to give you some goodies.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Hope you feel better soon, Jackie. Night Vincent...(((scratch, scratch)))

    ReplyDelete
  93. why the hell would Tai NOT use the idol?

    thanks for sharing...
