BB19: HoH Comp Results, Nominations Show Blog Party - July 9

It seems like so long ago! After all, the live feeds already have Power of Veto done and over with. As tonight's show airs, I'll be live-blogging and updating this entry -- refresh the page to get the latest. As always, the real party is in the comments area. I hope to see you there!

BTW - I won't be blogging the new Candy Crush game after the show. Game shows other than Jeopardy just aren't my thing at all.

Surprise, surprise! We're starting off with a recap! Oops ... forgot to mention and no room in my title -- the latest Den of Temptation will be shown tonight, too.

It's to the comp. Cody is upset that his people turned on him and kept Christmas. Paul is loving the chaos. Mark told Cody he voted to keep Christmas. He's the only one. We saw the Jessica/Christmas confrontation after eviction. Cody accuses Josh of lying to him. No hell hath a scorned Cody.

Cody looks very sullen in his role as ticket man. Elena tells us they can stockpile tickets. They're all doing that and handing them to Paul so that he can perfect a shot (and win). PAUL wins HoH!

Jessica can't imagine things getting any worse. Cody is sure that, unless he wins PoV, he will be going home. (Well, perhaps had he not done Custer's Last Stand during his HoH run, the first of the season, things would be very different.)

Kevin lies to Cody, telling him he voted to keep Jillian. A DR clip of Kevin telling us otherwise is good for a giggle. Cody is sure that Ramses and Josh flipped.

On a side note -- Cody's neck grinding or whatever is annoying.

Josh tries to make amends with Cody and Jessica. Cody is nasty to him. He tells us that Josh makes "victim noises." Jessica tells Josh he's like a little girl.

So, Josh goes off to cry. Raven, Mark. Dominque and Elena comfort him.

HoH room reveal. Jessica is in the Diary Room and doesn't want to go. The sound effect for Cody entering is a deflating balloon. Much editing of Cody glowering while the others clap.

Paul tells us he's going to do the opposite of Cody and let all know what he's doing. He proposes Matt and Raven, then backdoor Cody. Matt isn't thrilled. Dominque  suggests pawns from the other side.

Den of Temptation time -- along with a consequence. Since Paul has already been tempted, he won't be invited in.

The Den has voodoo dolls of all the hamsters. Christmas ends up being the one to be offered the Ring of Replacement. She can play in any one veto comp sometime this summer, replacing a player. She accepts. Must curse three houseguests via their voodoo dolls turning them into VToads. She selects Jason, Cody and Jessica.

Paul makes a deal with Alex, telling her he wants to backdoor Cody. She thinks it best for her own game to cooperate. He then goes after Josh with the plan. Josh also thinks it best for his own game. Paul tells the DR that he knows everyone wants Cody to go is the reason they're all "trusting" him.

Voting for DoT - The Halting Hex. Um. Okay.

Ramses thinks this might be a good week for him to use his third nom curse because he knows that Cody is the target.

Time for nominations.
Ramses puts himself in the mix as the third nominee. If he wins PoV, he can take himself down with no replacement.

Paul nominates Josh and Al

Tex. Josh called him a meatball. Alex, no connection made with him.

They show Paul worried that Ramses will win PoV and the noms will remain the same.

Oh, the suspense ...

  5. LOVE Kevin!
    He is so cool.

  6. It's so easy for them to attack Josh - why?

    ReplyDelete
  7. Hi all!! I brought a bug bag of candy.... lol

I hope everyone enjoyed this beautiful weekend.

    ReplyDelete
  8. I like Kevin, too, Petals. So calm and cool.

I think they attack Josh because he's so easy to set off.

  9. TBC - candy! How perfect! LOL yum

  10. I am still not a Paul fan. I think this game is set up for him to win. Every thing seems to be going his way. I just do not see how the curb shot can be a winning shot.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Sorry Cody, it does SUCK to watch Paul win with everyone's help.

    ReplyDelete
  12. i have no sympathy for Jessica.

  13. Petals, they want him to be the bad guy who takes Cody out. They don't want to do it themselves. Cody did come on too strong, though. I wish he hadn't. He's so different from his video interview. Now, he's a target.

  14. That was a hard shot to make on the curved ramp! Christmas was smart to lie down to get the candy instead of hopping around!

    ReplyDelete
  15. Sickening to watch them allsuck up to Paul..ughhh.Hopefully they come to their senses and get him out as soon as his 3 weeks of safety are up!

    ReplyDelete
  16. He made that show, though. It happened.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Cheryl - Maybe Paul promised them candies & riches beyond their wildest dreams? Who knows? It is a bit disconcerting to watch seemingly free-minded adults all throw away their games to a previous (runner-up) winner?

    ReplyDelete
  18. He has to go confront everyone. That makes him a target even more.

    ReplyDelete
  19. If Cody had put up Ramses instead of Christmas, all would be right in his world and Paul would have stayed the bad guy for not fessing up to getting the immunity temptation. Shows how one little error can ruin your game in BB.

  20. Paul is safe for 2 more weeks, they have nothing to lose by having him in HoH and get Cody out.

    ReplyDelete
  21. You are right David. If Cody had just talked to the others, it could have been different. But, this right here is why they are against Cody and Jennifer.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I'm not a Josh fan, but I do feel sorry for him. This is bullying at the worst. By doing this, it put a bigger target on their backs. I do agree, though, Josh always tries to play the victim.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Thank You Penny ! I agree - Josh is SOOO bullied.

    ReplyDelete
  24. He has to put someone up. They want Cody out, but they do not want to be a pawn. They want Paul to put Cody and Jessica straight up. Paul's afraid Cody will win the Veto.

    ReplyDelete
  25. That was a stupid plan Paul..put up your 2 team members as pawns...

    ReplyDelete
  26. HA! Paul - Matt & Raven have NO intention of working for a team. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  27. Actually, I think letting Paul be the HOH is probably a good move. He does their bidding without them getting the blood on their hands. He was already safe for 2 more weeks anyway, so why not?

No sympathy for Cody. He did it to himself with the way he played it last week. It was unusual that he ended up having to make that many nominations, but he didn't have to be such an ass about it. And he had safe pawns/nominations he could have made.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I do think as the weeks go by, Paul will be targeted. But, right now, I think many of them might thing it's best the blood get on Paul's hands, not their own.

    ReplyDelete
  29. All of them want to be part of the "team", yet NONE are will to act on it. @@

    ReplyDelete
  30. Paul's plan makes no sense. The house is fractured, why would you nominate any of your people as pawns.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Elena has big boobs? lmfao

    ReplyDelete
  32. Yay! Christmas is saved!!!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Elena - slack-jawed mouth breather. I don't think she knows that year it is.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I wish we had the list of temptations so we know what is coming up like we did last year. The way it is now, the most popular will always win it each week of those left.

    ReplyDelete
  35. E*Weekly Radio has the funniest take on this years BB. Dalton Ross is a fan, and hilariously describes the goings-on in the house.

    ReplyDelete
  36. That's a crappy temptation. She's already crippled. What good does switching into a POV comp mean? How come Paul gets 3 weeks of safety and Christmas only gets to swap into a POV comp? Why not swap out a nomination or some kind of real power.

    ReplyDelete
  37. David - I haven't voted yet, for that reason.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I like Dalton Ross's writing.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Cody! Mr. Personality! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  40. Joe - do you listen to him in the AM?

    ReplyDelete
  41. That's right, Mr. Personality. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  42. Joe, I think it's crappy, too. Paul has gotten the best "gift" so far. It guarantees him 3 weeks. What's changing 3 people to toads do? LOL

    ReplyDelete
  43. Xmas claims that she "could've had Cody". I don't know...I don't think so. LMAO

    ReplyDelete
  44. Petals, no. I used to read him in EW all the time on Survivor and especially Lost.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Hey Joe the curse was even more dumb than the temptation..ha

    ReplyDelete
  46. Maybe the temptation is "tailor made" for whoever America votes for. It would explain things a little bit... maybe as the season progresses we will get a list of temptations

I hate how Elina puts her hand over Matt and Mark mouth when they're talking and she wants to say something. Think she does that in real life?

    ReplyDelete
  48. They are not listing the temptations so they can change them up as they see fit to give the person they want to have the best ones. Conspirousy I tell ya'. "ducks from things throw by Jackie" =)

  49. Hi all... popping in late, as usual.
Basically, most of these people are clueless.
Cody did it to himself. Jessica is already trying to weasel herself back in with the "in" crowd.
With Cody gone, I don't know if anyone will be strong enough (mentally or physically) to take Paul out. IMO, it's much too easy for Paul to influence people because he's loud, confident, persistent, and his appearance is so... ummm.... edgy.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Joe - Dalton is the coolest. I call in a lot, he knows me as Jodie Prince Fan. LOL. I can answer all the trivia that no one else can. Dalton is awesome. He goes to the Survivor locations and does the challenges, and tells about it on his morning how.
Awww - it makes me feel closer to you, knowing you read Dalton's stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Nobody wants to go up as a pawn. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  52. Yes Petals. Jason and Cody And Jessica get the Frog suits as V Toads.

    ReplyDelete
  53. LOL at David ducking! HAHAHAH

    ReplyDelete
  54. I love Joe from Survivor, but I cant watch him on Candy Crutch. :(

    ReplyDelete
  55. Petals, it looks like a dumb show...

    ReplyDelete
  56. I wish Cody wasn't being such a jerk. He always has a mad look on his face.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Jackie, thank you so much for hosting us. Will see everyone Wednesday! Have a good week.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Alex's ears = Paul's Duck

    ReplyDelete
  59. Thanks Jackie =)

    Everyone have a great week.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Wish they would say more of what a Temptation does so we'd know more for the hamster vote.
So what's a Halting Hex? Maybe it stops someone from winning during a comp?
    Oh goodie.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Thanks Jackie!
See you guys Wednesday! Have a great Monday XOXOXOX

    ReplyDelete
  62. The Halting Hex can make any of the next four eviction nights into non eviction night.

    ReplyDelete
  63. The Halting Hex allows the winner to halt any live eviction show and make it a non-elimination show during one of the next 4 eviction nights. They can use it if on the block or not.

    ReplyDelete
  64. I misunderstood the consequence. I thought they said vetoed. Meaning either their votes won't count this week or they can each pick another houseguest whose vote doesn't count. How does putting them in toad costumes effect the game?

    ReplyDelete
  65. Oh, that Halting Hex is super great!
