BB19: There's Been an Accident Bulletin - UPDATED
Christmas was riding on Jason's back when she fell. She's pretty certain she broke her foot. It took a while for the medic/nurses to attend to her -- apparently one "didn't want to be on camera."
She was taken away to the hospital. So far there is no definite word whether it's an actual break and/or whether she might return. But it doesn't look good. It's been nearly five hours.
In other news while I'm here -- Ramses revealed his "curse" (from Paul's bottle pick in the Den of Temptation) is that he has to make himself a third nominee in the next(?) nominations.
UPDATE: Christmas has returned to the house with a cast on her foot. She has torn tendons (?) and has to go for an MRI on Wednesday. While she still might be pulled from the game, she's back for now.
It looks very very bad. Even if it's not broken I can't imagine she'd be good enough to continue with the physical comps as they normally are. :(
ReplyDeleteHope Christmas is ok.
ReplyDeleteIt's a shame... no way to end your BB time.
Unless she needs surgery, why should she quit? She is nominated and the hamsters can keep her or send her packing every week!
ReplyDeleteWell, it happens in Survivor... Injuries. Personally, I don't care - Xmas was never on my "fave" list either way, so...there it is.
ReplyDeleteShe was a real competitor and sad to leave the game this way.
ReplyDeleteI was a big fan but still.....others are worse
that was SUPPOSED to say i Was NOT a big fan, others are worse
ReplyDeleteChristmas is back and on crutches!
ReplyDeleteReally Delee? Awesome!! maybe its a sprain (which acgtually hurts worse)
ReplyDeleteSO Xmas goes on the untouchable list with Raven? *sigh*

ReplyDeleteI hate to see anyone having to leave due to injuries. Glad that's not the case!
ReplyDeleteI was just starting to like her, because she showed her temper. bummer.
ReplyDeleteXmas isn't going anywhere. She's gonna play through pain and probably has a high pain tolerance to begin with. You don't get a body like hers without going through some pain. In fact she just said she isn't going anywhere.
ReplyDeleteXmas just stated her foot is NOT broken. They took an X-Ray and it was negative. She is having an MRI on Wednesday to see if there is any real damage.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update Jackie!
ReplyDeleteChristmas is down Christmas is down oh the humanity lol
ReplyDeleteNo Christmas, in July!😎 LOL
ReplyDeleteLol
DeleteSo I keep hearing on this site and others that Raven is "untouchable". Petals, I think you said it a few times. What did I miss and why are they protecting her? She seems to me as a "I just want to make it to jury" type of non player.
ReplyDeleteRaven has a heart monitor or pacemaker and evidently used it to garner sympathy from the others T-Town. I personally don't see why it would make a difference. It wouldn't to me.
ReplyDeleteDavid - I agree! She has a gastric pacemaker, something that stimulates her stomach so she can digest.
ReplyDeleteT-Town - yeah, she has a disease that she can't digest food properly. So she has this pacemaker that fixes it. It is called "gastroparesis". According to the internet, it's not extremely uncommon, and easily treatable (as we see with Raven).
ReplyDeleteShe has told the HGs that pregnancy is sketchy for her, but the internet reports that any problems with gastro- & pregnancy are rare.
So do I think she is milking this to stay safe? Yes, I do.
But I'm not a doctor; I don't even play one on TV (lol).
Got it! Thank you. She probably is milking it, she's a dancer for goodness sake. With that said, I'm physically disabled but you would never know by looking at me so who knows about Raven. Also with all the "social justice warriors" out there she might be on to something and
ReplyDeletehave a good strategy there which might take her to the end!😆

ReplyDeleteI walked around on a broken ankle for 6 weeks and I'm not anywhere near a fitness superstar. First 2 or 3 days I could barely walk. From the bed to the bathroom was about as far as I could go. Little by little it improved but I was still in some pain.I finally went to the ER when it just stopped improving. ER Docs were amazed that I had walked on it and that it was actually healing the way it should.
ReplyDeleteTo get herself into the shape she's in she probably has a super high pain tolerence. I don't blame her if she's embellishing. I would too if I were on the block.
