BB19: Power of Veto Show Blog Party - August 9

As the show airs here, I'll be live-blogging and constantly updating this entry -- refresh the page to get the latest! As always, the real party is in the comments area. Come join in on the fun!

They start off showing Christmas accept the Ring of Replacement in the Den of Temptation. Recap of Josh wanting Elena out, Paul wanting him to target Jess and Cody. Into the temptation challenge. Recap, recap.

They will show the never crying Cody crying.

Josh really wants Elena out more than he wants Jess and Cody gone. As usual practice, all think they must win veto. Well, maybe not Elena.

Josh tells Jessica that he thinks Cody ruined her game. He wants to hint to her that she's not his target. Cody, in particular, doesn't want to listen to him. Then Jessica follows Cody's lead.

Paul suggests to Christmas that she uses her temptation if Cody is picked to play in veto. Paul tells us he also wants her to use it so she doesn't have that trick up her sleeve later in the game. She tells Josh about the temptation and tells him she'll back him up.

Cody and Jessica talk. Only two names will be drawn to compete. She really wants him to be in the comp.

Josh talks with Paul about his case for Elena going home and Christmas not using her power. Paul really wants Jess out. He points out that both Jess and Cody on the jury would be two votes against them.

Veto players pick. Josh picks Mark who, as a nominee, chose Alex. Josh then chose Cody. Josh delays his blinking okay to Christmas to make time for a commercial.

He gives the blink, Christmas explains the power and takes Cody's place. Cody then cries later with Jessica.

It's the OTEV comp! Christmas isn't allowed to play, but Cody remains out. This OTEV has a little piggie looking for his mommy and daddy.

OTEV turns into the Possessed Piglet and spits out green slime. Elena is out in the first round. Whoa! Mark JUST beat Jessica in the second round. Jessica is out of the comp. Mark is thinking ... he had the third round answer while Alex and Josh were still hunting. So, he made a stash of numbers for himself. Josh was last, Josh out. Alex beats Mark up, but lost her number sole on the way.  Mark wins Veto!

Jessica doesn't want to leave Cody. Of course, we get a bit of them looking lovingly sad at each other.

Too bad, so sad.

Matt tells Josh that he or Raven (she agrees) will go on the block as a pawn.

And, so it comes to pass.

In the veto meeting Mark saves himself. Josh puts Raven up, saying she agreed and knows the plan. Elena looks disturbed, probably because Mark didn't save her.

Jessica wants to cause drama and flip the house upside down before she leaves.

Paul is a happy camper.

Josh still wants Elena out rather than Jessica.

  1. Hey Jackie and all who show up tonight. I get the sense that some folks are getting tired of this season. I'm not, lol.

    ~~~SPLASH~~~
  4. ~*~*~*~ SPLASH ~*~*~*~
    Hey everyone.
    I AM getting weary of this season. Jess/Cody on everyone's lips, 24/7. At this point, I want them BOTH to walk out Thursday just so the Sheeple will be forced to turn on one another.
  5. Josh, Josh, Josh - it was so cute that you thought you were the HOH this week. Bless your little heart.
    ReplyDelete
  6. I sure wish Jessica had trusted Josh. He really did try to save her; but she didn't believe him. I think if he had tried to convince Jessica more, she might have been okay. Cody and she just don't trust Josh, at all. No amount of words would have convinced them. And, after what happened, neither will stay in the house.
  7. Hi everyone!!!
    ReplyDelete
  8. I don't think Jess played that conversation very well. That said. Josh is an idiot. What the hell was he rambling about?
    ReplyDelete
  9. The thing is - Cody & Jessica seem to be the real deal. There have been so many ridiculous showmances that went nowhere, but I think Jody will extend well beyond the walls of the house.
    JMO.
  10. Josh went about this totally the wrong way. He should have just come out and said, "Jessica, you are not my target." I know he felt he could have talked to her no matter what, but I think the damage had already been done. I also know he didn't want her to run to Elena.
    Josh isn't dumb, but he really did not get past that situation well.
    I want one of the candied apples!!!
  11. Hi everyone!
    Help yourself to the sliced watermelon and corn-on-the-cob at the bar.
  13. Hi All. I'm not tired at all. Looking forward to the Jody victim noises.
  14. Hi Joe - that's how Jessica's game and decisions have been going all season long... unfortunately for her.
  15. Hey Sharon, Hey Kristen!
    Kristen - Raven believes SHE will be asked to do TAR. BWHAHHAHAHAHAHAAA
  16. I brought the usual Pinot Grigio, it's with the Stella. Also, I brought a lemon bundt cake for dessert. Enjoy!!
  17. Hi TCB and Joe!
    Joe, I think the damage had already been done. I just do not think they would listen to Josh, no matter what. The personal attacks had already damaged their conversations.
  18. I just got my new phone and need to set it up. However, I want to get everything off my old phone first. :::sigh:::
  19. YUM - good food tonight. I forgot - had work on my mind. Sorry.
    ReplyDelete
  20. Hey Sharon, Kristen and uncartie! Victim noises, lol. Remember that one well ;-)
    ReplyDelete
  21. Hi Jackie and everyone! I like how they are reminding everyone about the Ring of Replacement! Cody and Jessica are not letting Josh explain his target!
    ReplyDelete
  22. It was so exciting for 5 minutes last week, when Josh thought he could choose who he wanted to evict.
    ReplyDelete
  23. Hello everybody! Checking in, but losing interest! I might need a BB vacation.
    ReplyDelete
  24. Why run any of this past Tiny Paul? *smh*
    ReplyDelete
  25. Homie... how you doing?
    Hey Glenn
    ReplyDelete
  26. Hi Ed. Check in a lot. We would miss you if you left!!
    ReplyDelete
  27. Veto pick... bring on the creepy temptation voice
    ReplyDelete
  28. Ed,
    Except, about the time you quite watching... the real action will start!
    ReplyDelete
  29. Hi Petals....Hi Homie.
    Monty I guess I might be one of the 'tired' ones.
    ReplyDelete
  30. LOL, love the edit :))))
    ReplyDelete
  31. Enough of Paul...
    ReplyDelete
  32. Sliding Ed a NYFRB to wake him up. I keep them stocked in the pool bar fridge ;-)
    ReplyDelete
  33. You're probably right Sharon N, if only I could 'fast forward' to that point.
    ReplyDelete
  34. Kristen from Ohio8/09/2017 8:22 PM
    Waiting for it to get exciting, but with Jessica surely gone this week, the sheep will just fall in line to get Paul to the end.
    ReplyDelete
  35. Thanks Monty! I missed the 'Root Beer Float Day pool party'
    ReplyDelete
  36. Petals, Josh never really had the power to choose who went home. Once the VETO is played and the VETO meeting, the HOH has no power in the house. BB Rule #1
    ReplyDelete
  37. That wasn't a hard blink, but I loved it
    ReplyDelete
  38. I hate it that Paul controls everything. They've had two people in target for weeks. Stop it already. Geesh!
    ReplyDelete
  39. She just advised Josh to not always listen to Paul yet she does... so over these sheeple
    ReplyDelete
  40. BUT, Josh didn't want the Ring used. Had he had his way, it wouldn't have happened. He was over-ruled.
    ReplyDelete
  41. Then she didn't even play
    ReplyDelete
  42. Give me a break!!
    ReplyDelete
  43. cry me a river ....................... NOT
    ReplyDelete
  44. Unc, there goes Paul explaining his strategy in the DR. See, always playing the game.
    ReplyDelete
  45. Christmas is full of crap. Sorry...
    ReplyDelete
  46. I didn't like Paul last year but this year he's hilarious. His diary room sessions make me lol.
    ReplyDelete
  47. All Xmas was doing there was 'rubbing' it in!
    ReplyDelete
  48. This has to be so exhausting being the target for weeks. The whole house against you; and no where to go. I'm sorry, but I hope everyone in that house watches this BB someday and realizes just how PERSONAL everyone acted towards two people. Yes, Cody was an SOB at times, but it's like calling the kettle black. I BB, most of the people target someone whom they personally do not like. For 6 weeks, this entire house has targeted Jody - non-stop. They need to watch this and really see how they looked, also.
    ReplyDelete
  49. Actually, Christmas was covering her bases or a$$. You have to remember that she was still on board the get Elena out with Josh at that point. She was sticking it to Cody, maybe/probably, but she still wanted Elena out too. Christmas is another Paul in there, but I don't think she's playing as good of a game.
    ReplyDelete
  50. I seem to be having some Blogger issues ... sorry for slow updates.
    ReplyDelete
  51. Janelle was always the target in S6 when the Nerdherd/Friendsheep were in power. She never acted the way JODY does. She fought and won the veto's to save herself.
    ReplyDelete
  52. Oh geeminy - this is terrible
    ReplyDelete
  53. Spitting pea soup... hmmm
    ReplyDelete
  54. See, she couldn't even use it. What a waste.
    ReplyDelete
  55. Jessica tried...She isn't the physical competitor that Janelle was.
    ReplyDelete
  56. Christmas will really need her temptation for herself and won't have it! Dumb move. Paul's move...
    ReplyDelete
  57. Janelle was well liked in the house. They didn't bully her all the time. She just knew they wanted to get her out because she was so strong in the competitions. She didn't have someone banging pots and pans; or standing outside spewing obscenities and giving her the double bird. LOL
    ReplyDelete
  58. Okay, a little fun here to lighten things up. My favorite OTEV was in All-Stars when Janelle and James went after the same doll, lol. I loved Dr. Will's DRs about it all. James said, "she harmed me", LOL
    ReplyDelete
  59. Penny, Bo and Janelle went after each other all the time. They bullied each other, lol
    ReplyDelete
  60. OMG...how close was that...
    ReplyDelete
  61. This is hystericsl
    ReplyDelete
  62. And, it was Janelle flying the 'bird' that season. God, I miss Jani
    ReplyDelete
  63. wow, never seen that one before
    ReplyDelete
  64. possessed pig - the joke is too obvious. @@
    ReplyDelete
  65. Dr Will always had great DRs. Some are really entertaining and others are just awful. Dr. Will was just so good. I really enjoyed listening to him. He was always great at telling stories.
    ReplyDelete
  66. I hope Cody walks out with her tomorrow.
    ReplyDelete
  67. Janelle was one of my all time favorite players. She has always been likable. Howie and she always made me laugh.
    ReplyDelete
  68. I hope those crazy kids make it on the outside.
    ReplyDelete
  69. That's too easy, Petals. He will not quit. Marines do not quit. They stay with is until the very last fiber.
    ReplyDelete
  70. The joke is, they kept telling Jess it wasn't her, it was Cody. Cody was the target. We need Cody out. Well, that was largely a lie. Half of them are already trying to figure out if they can work with Cody moving forward and Jess is the one going home.
    ReplyDelete
  71. I don't think Cody will walk. He'd probably like to, but he's been studying the recent 'sounds' with Jess. It would have everyone turning on each other a little sooner...AND would throw a crimp in the BB's comp/programming for the show. Talk about production-panic! LOL
    ReplyDelete
  72. Yeah, Joe. They always told her that. And, they also told her if she used her temptation, she would go up. That happened.
    ReplyDelete
  73. I dislike (despise) Raven more than I do Paul, b/c she isn't just rooking the house, she is rooking the medical community.
    ReplyDelete
  74. Thank you, Jackie. Really appreciate it. See everyone tomorrow night.
    ReplyDelete
  75. g'nite.
    What will Paul talk about when Jody are gone?
    ReplyDelete
  76. That has to either be an old DR or a set up. No way would Josh try to flip the entire House against Paul's wishes. He's not that dumb.
    ReplyDelete
  77. Does Josh even have a clue how BB works??
    ReplyDelete
  78. Night guys... see everyone tomorrow. Off to watch RHAP!
    Have a great evening everyone
    ReplyDelete
  79. Thanks for hosting, Jackie!!
    See everyone tomorrow. Can't wait to see how they edit the kerfuffle...
    ReplyDelete
  80. I really need Cody to get Paul out of the House because I want to hear what he'd tell Julie in the interview.
    ReplyDelete
  81. I know they say not to take these things personally. However, how can you not when everyone is targeting you? It is personal, most of the time.
    An example. I work for a minor league baseball team - the Dayton Dragons. We have a player who broke the mid-west league hitting record. He was on his way to #40. They played the Great Lake Loons. They didn't want to pitch to him. Instead of giving him a chance to hit, they chose to pitch outside and ground balls. He was up for his last chance to add to his hitting streak; and the pitcher was told to walk him. Sure it's a game, but that is personal. Some things just are not only a game.
    ReplyDelete
  82. These guys better think carefully about when they get Mark out.
    ick.. if Cody isn't available for eviction (comp wins), and they go after Mark, that will 'free up' Elena to crawl all over the guys... even more than now! lol
    ReplyDelete
  83. wonder if Christmas gets to pick what brand of kool aid she wants Paul to make for her. Silly girl. Throw her advantage away for Paul because he did not want Cody and Jess in jury. She deserves to go home next.
