Thanks Jackie!!

Hi there Sydney & Delee - I don't watch the Bachelor. I watched the first season, but I can't watch it anymore. It's just not my kind of show. I'm glad you guys enjoy it though! I hope you post the highlights so I can enjoy it from your perspective.

I watched Nip/Tuck in it's first season, then I didn't have cable TV for a year or so (how did I survive??). I just got back into it and I must say, it's definitly a guilty pleasure. I love seeing Christian's nice, firm butt at least once an episode :) Larry Hagman's character was funny in his first episode and I loved the scene with the penis pump! And how bout that psycho therapist? Did you see the previews where she has "Property of Christan" tattooed on her lower back! Right where he just removed the other one!!

Can't wait for the next episode and being able to hash it over with you guys!!

OK all can you believe Brooke Shields??? 2 kids and now a hoe on N/T...floored me and then there is Rosie M.....Sean is going over the deep edge and really want to see where this leads...just glad he will not be operating on me, lol... Bachelor it seems, he (all shows)keeps the out there ones and the quiet ones get the boot. This may be for drama..but someone like a Prince, why the H*** do they need to do this show? I have a beautiful 22 yr daughter who tried out for the Paris one..but she was too young and really did not want to get married yet!!!! Guess they choose the needy ones!!! @@ ( Jackie trademark) PS ABC really liked her but guess she answered stuff wrong!!! After watching it so glad they did not choose her!

Sorry about 2 entries having security probs and it seemed it did not go thru.

watched N/T for first time to see Rosie,,Oh my it should b x rated.
good acting but it is ol porno

Anon 5:43-- I'm afraid I was the one to ask Jackie to make a Bachelor site, and to combine it with Nip Tuck, as I saw there were a few people who watched the Bachleor and more who watched Nip ( I went back in the comments and counted how many commented on both before I suggested it)... I thought there might not be enough folks interested in the Bachelor alone to justify a chat place, but suggested the combo also for interesting it would be to get folks talking about both on one site.

I loved your comment about the combo Petals!

That said, I know Orkmommy and I watch Top Model too, and I'd welcome reading your commenst here on it as well... if that doesn't break the rules Jackie! Love, Twisted Sex and Plastic Surgery and the world of Fashion and Modeling certainly ALL go together in my book!

Anyway, to Delee, Terry in CA, Orkmommy, Petals, meb, susan B, dla and anyone else who will join me here, I'm just saying THANK YOU for keeping me company!!!! These shows are just too truly dishy not to have my fun expanded by knowing y'all are also watching and hearing what you have to say about it.

xxx, Sydney

Sydney -- I'm so feelin' the love!! We're here for ya gal!!

Sydney said...

Rosie is cracking me up -- she's just MADE for this role. However, I wonder when they were filming the episodes if she knew she'd eb joining the View... it's really funny to know she's singing show tunes with Elizabeth Hassleback and Barbara Walters by day, and in themissionary position talking abou Mac and cheese with our dear overly tanned, brow waxed doctor on the naughty naughty show!

And boy did he SNAP back to his hideous, evil self with Kimber after professing all that love to the other woman and being so kind as to want to donate his liver... wow, that smacked me as hard as it did Kimmy....

Sydney said...

So, I'm still confused, since I have not watched Nip/Tuck much in past seasons -- I remember when Famke was on playing the he/she therapist and young Matt was sleeping with her... but his mother who gave BIRTH to him on the show is Jolie Richardson?

And if so, why does he call both doctors his dads? Did they both mix up their sperm and inseminate Jolie -- or did she sleep with both of them and they said hey, if we made a baby it's the three of ours? Can someone fill me in???

Clearly, I HAVE TO GET ALL THE BOXED SETS and watch from the get go.

Anonymous said...

Sydney -- Jolie Richardson is the mother on the show and John Hensley plays Matt (her son), but they dated in real life.

Sean & Christian were best friends in college and Sean & Julia were dating. She had an affair with Christian and ended up pregnant. She didn't know which one was the father and since she was really with Sean, she let him believe the baby was his.

I'm not sure how it happened, but the affair ended up coming out and Matt and both guys were tested and it turns out that Christian is his biological father. Since Sean had raised him and the characters in this show are all completely f'd up, they're now one big happy family and Matt calls both guys Dad.

NOW, NIP TUCK I AM LOVING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thinking of buying all the previous seasons to have on DVD. It's a keeper. Why haven't I watched more in the past? I'm fascinated most by how complex Christian is. it's a tough thing to write and act that so well.

ORKMOMMY -- thanks for that killer fill-me-in. That was great.

As for the kiss between Jolie and the guy who is taking care of their son sorry, I don't have his name)...saw that one coming a mile away. He is around being all Oprah with her, so suppotive, complimentary, understanding, encouraging. What woman would NOT go for that? Especially post partum!?!

As soon as the docs were describing the operation on Shawn's son's thumb, how the bones can be stretched, I thought oh, he (the guy whose name I don't know) will want the operation done on his legs to be taller for this new romance. Looks like that came up in previews.

I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!

Sydney said...

Also - Heard that theNip/Tuck people are giving Rosie's lottery winning character her own show... I have to say I thought the character was perfect but
What could the premise possibly be?

Anonymous said...

Did anyone notice on NIP/Tuck when James knocked on Christains door (when he was expecting the call girl) the knock was the exact same as the heartbeat in the opening credits music( when the hand is drawing the dotted line with the red marker)?

I have to say, the complaint I have is the woman that Christian is supposed to love so much... larry Hagman's wife. I don't get it. No chemistry between them. Not like he and Kimber.

And that poor son-- stop the eyebrow waxing!!!! Even if it does make him look more like Christian.

Sydney said...

Dishy Dishy Dishy -- thank god I have Nip Tuck!! What an ep last night! Mwahahaha.

Don't like the devil guy's storyline. While I'm sure he's not gone forever, at least he's apparently wrapped for now. (Perhaps it was a reason to show a skin graft, as they show so MUCH surgery. That part I squint through). Though the psych aspect of his the prision "wife" and bottom feeder was a new persepctive.

I'm a detail oriented, visual person, so I eat up every bit of this show. Kimber's apartment, the reddish peach lighting, that Christian came in in a matching shirt... how her satin shirt moved around when she moved... no bra bulge for her! She's not human. Whomever cast her is good. Is she wearing a wig to make her look more plastic? Something looks odd at the hairline...maybe that her forehead doesn't move?

Loved watching Christain's face... surprises me how complex the character is. DELEE --I too have not watched more than a few eps here and there until this season, but I assume with time a deepening has happened. His expression can be so cold, and then show so much sadness, then be so cocky. I liked when he rolled his eyes at the guy on the table who needed butt surgery that I rewound it twice.

So often I am right there on the set, just behind the cameras on shows in my job, and get to see how an actor transforms him/herself from who he/she is to the character in a millisecond. Sometimes they've literally JUST been napping, or feeling sluggish from too many cookies at lunch, then have to get into a huge crying scene, or a sex scene, and I marvel at that.

I used to feel the same shot of adrenaline when watching the Sopranos and Sex in the City, and sometimes Six Feet Under. Those are virtually gone, and the Bachelor, which used to have me on the edge of the couch, or at least discussing it the next day at work, seems a sham this year. I'll still watch it so see you here Monday night.

I'm just glad to have this one. I'm definitely getting the previous seasons on DVD, and starting from the top.

Sydney said...

NIP/TUCK: the look into the future episode. I now officially am in love with the actor who plays christain... he did an incredible job of being who that character would turn into when he was in his 60's... A flamboyany dandy. I know an uncle or two who was like that when I was a little girl...charming, funny, slightly dirty, and somewhat harmless older men, who felt their age gave them license to kid/flirt in ways they could never get away with when they were 40.

What did you think of Shawn's daughter as a mess? It was to be funny, but did anyone else feel it was a little disturbing... until they neatly wrapped it up in the end.

NO comments here on this show lately, am I the only one left watching?

You were right Sydney... Jen it is. I thought Sadie took it better than expected.

I don't understand, I'm not asking you to marry me but here, wear the ring??? I understand the let's wait and see how it goes, but then why not wait to give her the ring.

I think he'll have his hands full with his future/possible father-in-law. He's really out there.

Oh well... on to next year... did you see that hunk!!!! WOW! Enough said...

Anonymous said...

I am new to this site, just watched the show. Do we ever get to hear about the updates anymore???

Anonymous said...

Barf. As I watch all of them cry on TV I wonder what their real motivation is for thinking they should be on TV "The Bachelor". Barf. Slim pickins if you ask me.

Anonymous said...

I was rooting for Sadie, sad evening.

Anonymous said...

So Jen is the winner? Let's see if this one sticks! I did not hear them say there is a finale show, where they show the happy couple! Same as last time and now we know (the Dr and ?) they could not stay together for the time between finish and air.

Can not wait for the HOT military DR. Hope he is shirtless a lot!!!!

Anonymous said...

Anon 12:38 --

You asked about updates -- this is just a chat space set up by Jackie who is the one who does teh show updates on her site... she does not watch the bachelor but created this place for those that do to at least talk about it. If you are wanting an update of the show, let me know. I can write a bit more detail of what happenend last night...

delee -- I'm so glad I will have a little company here still then commenting on Nip/Tuck. I was thinking that I have been the only one commenting on it in quite a while. OrkMommy may have gotten busy in her life and Petals usually comments but who knows with the holidays here...

In response to a query of what I wanted for X-mas -- any of the first 3 season boxed sets of Nip/Tuck, as I haven't seen any but want to OWN them!

I loved the show where they go into the future, where Shawn is about 20 years old... I think that will be the ep from 2 weeks ago. And last week had a killer cast -- Katharine Deneuve, Jaqueline Suzanne, and Brooke Shields popping in again. The first two are role-models-hot/sophisticated.

They finally resolve things between Christian and ...is it... Michelle, in a way I think I'm glad about... Look forward to hearing what you think. And this week THE HOLIDAY EP. I'm sure they'll find a way to give new meaning to Santa Baby.

Sydney,
I found Season One and Two at Target weeks ago for $19.99 each. Season Three was real pricey, for now, think was $49.99.

Anonymous said...

delee-- Wow, really? I'll go check that out at Target, as I did see the third season at Best Buy was for $48.00. Thanks!!!!!

Anonymous said...

NIP TUCK X-mas ep last week -- sad for Shawn in the beginning... This week, seeing a warm and loving side of Chrisian and it seems all things are wrapping themselves into a nice little bow....

BUt if you are a fan, don't miss next week's season finale! The boogie man is back again and it's hinted that Christian's bride to be and 50% owner of the business is CONNECTED to him somehow.

Tune in next week... with the accent on the EEK!

Let me be the first to say...what an eye candy!!!!!!

Anonymous said...

That Lindsay was tough, crude, quick tempered and maybe a little crazy. I thought she was really going to hit that girl. What did she think, that she was so great that she was gonna zoom past all the other women? She really needs some anger-management. Might have been interesting to keep her around, but after witnessing that exit, I'm glad she's gone.

Anonymous said...

I agree with you deleee...He sure is something nice to look at and he appears very sweet. He's surely going to break some hearts.

As for the three I definitely didn't want him to pick was the "nut job" who made a complete fool of herself, the girl who got so drunk she fell off her stool (and she was also the one nut job argued with) and the 'EYES'... oh my gosh...when she said something about she always stands out in a crowd, and that she couldn't explain it... I was screaming "Cause people can't quit staring at your eyes". I know I'm being mean, but she was scary!

OK...want to get to know the others. He did seem to pick a lot of blonds (or where there just more blonds there)?

Look forward to talking with you guys.

Anonymous said...

Can the show promote more alcohol??? Wonder if he drinks before an Iron Man Comp??? Now he is giving them Mimosa's before he puts them thru their paces!!! Do they never not have a drink in their hands?

Does Bevin look older than 28 to anyone besides me?

Anonymous said...

Hi everyone!

OK, Delee, I thought the very same thing when they cracked out the mimosas before the big workout!! I was ready for one of the girls to drown in the pool!

He just seems like a sweetheart! I really hope he does find someone nice, as he seems to be doing this for the right reasons. (so far!) What a great catch for the right girl!

I laughed out loud when the two blondes wouldn't get their hair (probably extensions) wet! It was funny that they both decided, so at least they had company... I am never quite sure how long they have to get themselves ready for the next phase of the dates, so maybe that was the reason. I don't think so, but let's give them both the benefit of the doubt!

I didn't think there were any surprises in those that he chose to send home tonight. This looks like a pretty good season! I am glad it is back on!

Talk to you next Monday!!

Loved the catty comment...Barbie Ken Barbie. Glad one (Susan) of the blonde Barbie's went home, but thought would be both. They looked hard and harsh. Finally putting faces with names. Tessa, Stephanie from Kansas, Amber, and Tina are a few of my favs (so far)! Not sure what to make of the other Steph, but does have high opinion of herself.

As I stated 36 minutes into the show...and watched hard thru the rest...."WHEN DID THEY NOT" have a drink in their hands? Many campuses are having problems with too-much alcohol. Now these girls are the poster children for Have a hand/Have a drink. No, I am not a tea-toter, but sad to see the show thinks spirited beverages are neccessary to loosen the girls up. ABC cut the booze, let the girls real personality show thru. OK enough soap-box.

Anonymous said...

I think SC Stephanie is one of those women that will say whatever a guy wants to hear whatever her agenda is, I'm not sure but she struck me as phony.

Jackie...
Is it possible to clean out comments from past seasons of the Bachelor? Long way to pan down! IMAO

Thank you

Anonymous said...

I think it would be great if you took out the older comments from last seasom. It's a big pain getting to this seasons chat. I'm liking Stephanie a whole lot less after last night's show. SC Steph. Tessa is a little emotional, but does seem "real" at least, and yes, she reminds me of Mary, or whatever her name was that wont on to the Bachelorette.

Hi Jackie!

Let's lose the old comments, and keep it current! Thanks!

Shout out to Sydney!! glad to have the chance to dish on Bachelor. I am becoming a reality addict. I watch Suvivor,DWTS,Bachelor and my husband is enduring...
So who is your fav so far? I think little Amber is adorable, and I like Peyton and a couple others I am not sure of the names yet...do these girls have to go to AA afterwards? Drinks, drinks, wow. Glad he split up the Barbie convention there..that was starting to get sick....
He seems level headed and nice, more real than most.
did anyone hear if Mary and Byron finally got married? If so, thats two who made it thru this show in tact.
Gflad to be here with y'all

Sydney said...

Hey Terry in CA --

I recently read that Mary and the bachelor are still together and getting married soon -- they just have stayed under the radar... though I think I read they are consdiering televisiont he wedding... hey, why not, it's about a million bucks in the bank! That can buy a lot of baby clothes!

Ladies -- was anyone just SHOCKED that for his final rose he chose one of the two blondes in the red dress? I was really puzzled by that one.

He looks and seems really straight, but he ALSO is not at all shy or akward in handling each girl. So who knows, maybe a freak lurks beneath!

Anonymous said...

I was very surprised to see Erin get a rose. Even she thought she was going. She struck me as kind of an airhead, the kind that gives blondes a bad name. Susan was the same type. Hopefully, she'll leave next week. Hope he also gets over Stephanie (SC) pretty quick, too. I just don't trust her motives. Maybe her MOM wants her to marry a doctor, but she just doesn't strike me as sincere.

Sydney said...

As the two blondes sat next to him - Susan and Erin? -- in their red dresses after the whole pool and triathalon performance I thought, these girls are just wanting to get soem exposure so Hef will give them a call. No, I am NOT insulting them... (I only say that as the regulars won't take it wrong but it seems there's been a fair amount of someone having a lot of severe reaction on this site lately who singles people out to CRITICISE them for criticizing others and that person never signs their name... Which is a drag all round for everybody who plays nice here ) I just think they would be a perfect match for the Playboy Mansion. Wrong show!

Anyway, I'm thinking they showed us absolutely nothing that would make this bachelor keep her, based on what he has said over and over that he wants. She is the most curvaceous of the group and he IS a man... He also commented on her hair when she first walked out of the limo ut I thought that was because he couldn't find anything else to say! Maybe he just wants to see if there is anything in there before he lets her go this week?

And Delee, I'm thinking they feed them so much alcohol not only to loosen nerves with the guy and each other but to ensure that people do stuff worthy of filming, nach!

So glad you are all here giving me your viewpoints on all these shows. Love the dish!

Anonymous said...

Look who's talking, Syd!

Anonymous said...

Well I too was surprised to see one of the blonde twins get a rose, especially the one who got one. She is definitely what we called "hard looking" (in my day). I'm not being mean either, I'm just stating facts.

I would love to see them do a wedding for last year's couple. I hadn't heard much about them either, so thanks for the update Sydney.

As for people signing their names instead of using "Anonymous", it's very easy to add your name by clicking "Other" and then typing your name in the space allotted. It took me a while before I figured it out cause I ain't that computer literate... and you can always use a pen name...you don't have to use your real name. I use my initials... and who cares, cause nobody knows you anyway. It would just be easier not to have a lot of Anons cause we don't know if we're responding to more than one person.

OK..enuf said... Thanks for all the comments... I love talking with everybody and reading your thoughts.

Hi all!

Well, I couldn't sleep as I had to put down my second kitty in 5 weeks due to kidney failure, so I rewatched The Bachelor online. Sydney, I do believe you are correct! There is a FREAK lurking beneath!! I was able to really pay attention, and watch body language, etc, and he can be really touchy. We may have another "Bachelor Bob" on our hands once the kissing machine gets started! ha

I also noticed something when the show aired, but it was reaffirmed tonight during my second time watching. He has a tendency to reassure many of the women how much they have in common, why he likes them, etc, and this could really get him in trouble down the road by possibly creating mixed signals. This will definitely be interesting to watch.

Finally, I really don't think even he was quite sure which of the last 4 girls he was going to give the final rose. When rewatching, he almost stumbled over blonde Erin's name, almost as though it were an afterthought. Maybe that helps explain why none of us caught the "connection" between them. It may not even exist!

This actually looks as though it could be a pretty good season!

dla - I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Was it the recalled pet food?

One of my two was addicted to MaxCat Ultra but I must have lucked out with the package dates or something. Of course, the cat is 14 years old and finicky... he wants food with the gravy in it. So I've been scrambling ever since to find food he finds acceptable. When he likes the food, his appetite is great. When he doesn't, he puts up such a fuss that I know he's hungry but whatever I'm feeding him isn't something he wants. He hasn't shown any signs of kidney issues, thankfully.

Thank you, Jackie. We lost my Dad very unexpectedly on October 29, then my first fur boy went to heaven in March, followed by yesterday's event. I don't really know if the food / treats were involved, and I can't even go there in my mind. They have been my everything for almost 12 years, so times are rough at my house. I am so glad to hear that your two fur kids are healthy and well! Enjoy every minute with them, and don't take them for granted for even a second! It is mind numbing how quickly things can change...
Hugs to all from Nevada

Hi Dla -

I wish there was a way to write to you personally, rather than here, but it's the only way I've got so, I just want to tell you I'm thinking of you. That's a lot of loss to go through in such a short time. Sending a big hug your way.

Jackie - when I was a kid and could have a cat (developed too big an allergy since then) and he was in a similar situation, believe it or not, he went literally wild over baby food in beef and veal flavors. Plain old Gerbers... maybe yours will like that?

Anyway Dla, your eye is sharp. I thought of Bachelor Bob too. And I think you may be right that he didn't have anyone in mind for that last rose and just blurted out that last name.

PS: jackie -- It's no trouble to me, but I thought I'd mention it. I am still seeing all the former posts from last year on my comment page.... Maybe it will take a few more days to kick in?

So I really appreciate the fact that you explained how to get my name on this thing. I don't have a blog so couldn't use that and had no idea what "other" was about. So here goes. ((dlb)) in the loss of your fur babies and father. hope these reality crazies lift your heart abit.
Sydney my friend, I was also shocked at the keeping of one half of the barbie duo..is he nuts? he wants a athletic type girl not a hot house flower.
I cant wait for Big Brother either...Jackies Blog has helped me thru two seasons of it..and when I have to miss Survivor, I check on line and she tells me what will happen ..love it.

Love ya Jackie!

Also thanks for the update on Byron and Mary...now what about the Borghese guy??

Anonymous said...

Hi Joy N... glad I could be of some help. I have also been with Jackie since BB but two seasons ago and I love her blog. There's just good clean fun here talking with everyone.

dla..also sorry to hear your sad news. I also had to euthanize my dog Moses...he was 13 and while he was not well, (old age) I still believe it was the dog food I fed him that caused his death. He was having difficulty eating hard food so I bought him some canned and later discovered it was on the list of recalls. My consolation is that he's in heaven running and chasing a brand new ball, just like he did when he was here.

Sydney I thought you were talking about Borghese... does anyone know anything about him and his choice from last year (Was her name Jan?)
Are they still together?

Sydney said...

Yes, that was Mary from Bachelor Bob's first season, who sprang up on Bachelor Byron's season (the 40 year old pro fly fisherman) and won his heart for real. They ARE actually a successful couple from the show, and they are smart to have wanted to stay out of the public eye to hopefully have the relationship work out. And at least last year Charlie and the nurse who moved to LA for him were still together and happily unengaged, so she said. So it's not JUST Trista and Ryan who succeeded.

Sydney said...

Forgot -- 2 days ago I saw a pic of Bachelor Borgese (in either US or Star) attending a charity event with, believe it or not, the Princess (from Texas) on his arm...and she was wearing her ever-present tiara! Remember the one who asked where the maids are in the house?

The clip under the photo said this was the third girl (the first being the one he ended the show with?) that he's dated since. I'm not surprised as it was so clear he was not sure with the last girl. She was a doll, too, but I didn't get the sense of it lasting, though I always find myself hoping.

I was SHOCKED to see the Princess and him together, but you never know. I assume Sadie was the girl he dated second -- She was so into him, but she was also so dignified, she may have passed when he came back around. It's too bad they played up things that weren't really true or really him -- like Rome being his second home and his living a life like a prince. At least this year Andy seems to have a solid background story.

We know many of the women may realize because of the show's structure, the guy often ends up with someone he doesn't really love, and probably wants the chance to get to know some of the ones he had to let go better after the show is over... so if they're smart, they'd exchange e-mails or slip him their phone numbers. I'm quite certain the princess kept after him... but whether or not she just convinced him to take her out as a stunt date or if he indeed succumbed to her badgering is hard to tell.

I think the football player -- was it Jesse -- also dated at least one if not two from the show afterwards and I'm sure it's happened with most, and not necessarily because anyone's being a dog. it makes sense. But what the story really is behind that photo is, I don't know... anyone care to take a guess?

Terry in CA and meb ~

Thank you so much for your kind thoughts, and I am so sorry for your loss of Moses. It makes me smile to think of Moses, AJ, and Jazz running like the wind under a beautiful blue sky, healthy and happy. ;)

Joy N, welcome!! I found Jackie through AOL during BB6, and have been hooked since. I did alot more reading the blog than contributing comments until most recently, and tend to back off when things get too heated, so know that if I don't write, I am still keeping up. There is such a nice group here!

OK, Borghese and that tiara-wearing crazy girl from Houston??? That makes me laugh out loud!! I sure hope it was a hoax of some sort, but who knows?

I have also read that Byron and Mary are going to be married soon! It is nice to see something good come of the process, and their successful relationship is probably at least partially due to staying out of the limelight and just living their lives!

Very excited for BB, and hope it is a good season with some interesting characters. LOL

PS: I heard again that all four girls from SATC are SIGNED ON for their feature film!!! Hurry, hurry! I miss the girls and Big!

Hi gals...thanks for the updates on Byron and Mary (loved her) and also that Borghese tramp. Sadie was my pick and to think he was even for a stunt with that rich Texas princess..welll he's done in my book.
Last night I was shocked to see Peyton go, she was a fave of mine, but I loved Tessa too.
Glad he shed Erin, but was confused at his comments and then keeping Stephanie (the man hunting one)
Now I havent a clue who he is really in to......

Anonymous said...

Happy to see that he came to his senses and let Erin go home. Hopefully next week, he'll do the same for Steph (NC) next week. From the previews. it looks like she's really going to get her nasty on. I'm glad he kept Tessa there, but hope she comes out of her shell a little more. I 'm gatting a "pushy" vibe from Bevin that I didn't see last week. Tina seems very sweet, but almost timid. And Kate strikes ma as sarcastic. Not liking her as much. either. The only one I can't stand is Steph(NC). Really hope she goes soon.

Meb, I just wanted to say how distressed I was to hear about your doggie, and even moreso because you mention dog food.I heard on the news last night that they are recalling more...

Dla - Good news about the SATC girls. I can't wait either... where did you hear the news? It's a smart move for them, though Sarah Jessica probably doesn't need to do it... but she was born to play that character.

RE: Bach --I was surprised to see Peyton go, since the 2 little interviews he had with the girls was supposedly to see who opened up to him... ditto when he was back at the house for the final rose cocktail party. Peyton did say she was crazy about him, and Tessa seemed far less forthcoming, and yet he kept her... so either he's full of it, or the editing is that manipulative. I tend to think it's the latter, or both!

I was also shocked he picked the girl who sang for him in the first show over the other dark haired girl with the adroable smile (sorry, I fail on names!)... but I guess he said he tried to get HER to open up and she didn't.

Looked in previews like the blonde who said she was a really cool person, who likes to chill at home is going to do some pot stirring next ep...

Is anyone getting a sense of who might be in the final 2 yet?? I'm not at all.

Thanks Sydney and everyone for caring. You know they may just be animals, but they are family and they love us unconditionally so it's really hard to say goodbye even when you know their quality of life is not what it should be.

Now..to the doctor... I think he gives every one of the girls false hopes when he keeps telling them things like he "feels a connection" between them. Then he doesn't give them a rose... that's gotta be confusing and hurt even more.

Looks like a lot of making out next week...can't figure out how you can do that with so many different partners... oh well, fun to watch.

And I don't have a guess as to who may end up in the final two. I don't think I've really seen any I've favored as yet. Time will tell.

Thank you bachelor for getting rid of Stephanie (from NC ??) I really thought she showed her colors tonight even tho he kept saying she was looking out for him. I think a lot of the girls took it a little too far with him and he saw thru it. YAY!

Tina has the most beautiful smile, but when she's not smiling she looks like a chipmunk. Don't mean to be mean, but she does.

I still don't have a favorite yet. I like Tess, but she almost looks bigger than him. Bevin is ok but she seems to have played the injury card too long and she lost me a bit. Amber??? I'm simply confused.

Anonymous said...

Glad to see Tina asking him about his real life (not the props they give him for the show, i.e. car, yacht, etc).

I wonder how many of these girls actually believe he lives that lifestyle. What a disappoint it will be for them to discover the limits of a military salary.

I think he was out of his depth with the catty behavior tonight. He really did come across as a "dork" (in a good way).

Stephanie (from NC or SC?) seemed quite shocked by her departure.

dla said...

Well, he definitely sent a couple packin' that needed to go. Tonight was "remove the girls that stir the pot" night, with Stephanie NC/SC, and Kate going home. Felt like we were in a cat house for a moment or two! lol

I still have no favorite. I believe they are playing the crying card to get attention, and I was totally over Bevin about 10 minutes into the episode.

I guess he is truly looking for wife material... I also think he continues to feed them lines about connections, etc, that are going to end up biting him back at some point.

I am not really liking this season much! Is it just me???

Anonymous said...

I agree with dla... I think I don't have a favorite yet because I'm not quite into it. I should have a pick by now???

He's so warm and sensitive, it's really difficult to tell which one he might favor at this point. I may not have a favorite, but I sure can pick the ones I don't like at this point. Weird!

Anonymous said...

I may have confused everyone last week with my post saying Steph was from NC, The kept stating last night that she's from SC. Really sorry about that. I spent most of last night;s show thinking how dumb some men can be, then felt downright gleeful when Alex threw Steph (SC) and Kate's conniving butts out the door. Had to laugh when Kate turned on Steph and also when Steph said she had a 90% chance of getting a rose. Don't really get what their beef about Amber was, except Maybe Nicole had told them Amber was really falling "in love" with him and they were worried about someone with "real feelings" making them look bad. Though it's hard to believe anyone could truly "be in love" at this point. I don't really have a favorite either, but Tessa and Tina strike me as the most believable in their intentions. I scratched Bevin off my list as of last night. I thought last week she seemed pushy but last night's phony tears were way over the top. Hope she's gone next week. I'm not warming up to Danielle, either or Steph (KS) for some reason I can't pinpoint yrt. And I haven't made up my mind about Amber yet. It does seem like kind of a blah season., overall. Guess we just have to wait and see. But I am thrilled that Steph (SC) and Kate are outta there!

He made the right choices last night. I would never keep the tattle-tales or rats. Military DR's do alright salary wise, they are on a different pay scale than the troops, more along the line of pilots and if they had military scholarships then they do not have the huge med school bills either. Makes you wonder if the ones who think those things are his have ever watched the show as ABC provides the car/boat or whatever for him. Like duh he owns a private jet. IMAO

Did anyone see the "Princess" from Texas (Borghese's reign) on Tyra Banks this morning. The show was about the "It" girls and she was aspiring to be just like Paris Hilton. She was wearing a colorful tierra and showed a solid gold one with diamonds that she also wears. She now has a business where she sells tierras. (Is that spelled right?)

Anyway, she came off as the jerk she is.

Sydney said...

Heloooo All! I'm a little late commenting, as it's Survivor night already...

What was with blondie (Kate) stirring up all the mean girl stuff as if she were a decade younger? Karma came back to get her, tho her exit interview protrayed her to be unenlightened to that fact.

OK, after I got over my relief that she was gone, I felt bad for Stephanie NC. Her overconfidence and trying to sell herself to him constantly as a strong, independant woman was so revealing. She talked it but she clearly knew things were de-cellerating between them and I think underneath all that bravado she has a heart of glass.

Meb - totally saw that about Tina! MY top 2 are Tess and Stephanie from Kansas. The way both spoke to him on the elimination evening sold me. Both were geniune, vulnerable and at the same time, composed, and apparently he saw that and values it, based on who he sent home. His stock went up for his picks to do this time.

RE: That darling brunette with the raspy voice.. She was true, w/ a personality cute as a button, but I never sensed any chemistry between them from the start, nor did we see any one on one time.

Sydney said...

Forgot -- Bevin -- I think she was so moody this show it gave me pause about her.

I can imagine how depressing it would be competing for a guy you really want on this show and feel your ability to compete was diminished. Editing does seem to show him as favoring her, but I think it could still go to anyone.

Did you see how dark she was when he called out her name for the first rose? She looked like Glenn Close as she walked forward. Did anyone else get that vibe?

Sydney said...

Sorry - that was for the third rose, not the first.

thats what I hope for the Bachelor..and with Kate and Steph SC gone I think he can get on with it...they both were truly pot-stirrers you guys nailed it.
I like Amber, Tessa and Steph Kansas and I think he does too...
thanks to you all for commenting...and yes I want the 2006 posts to go away too!!!

Hey Terry -- that sounds like a fabulous night of fun. Welcome back. Bachelor tomorrow night! See you (well, read you) all then!

Sydney said...

well, another night with the bachelor where he let go the two I thought he should. Though we get all our info from editing and often they try to lead us to false assumptions so at least the producers seem to be keeping it more real this season.

I see real chemistry between he and Bevin and different chemistry between he and Tessa. I think it will be down to the final two and I think I'm rooting for Tessa if so. I am not feeling Amber at all, and while I liked what I saw of the other blonde woman, I feel like I've seen so litte of their interaction to tell.

I can't figure Bevin out. Is she a really great gal reacting under great duress, or is she a bit unstable and able to act the part for Andy? Your opinions please!

Anonymous said...

Well, so Bevin is divorced and , of course, decided not to give him that little fact just yet (because that might have affected his decision to give her a rose.) It looks (from the previews) that she will tell him next week, if only because her family might blab first. I haven't liked her much anyway but this shows the deceiptful side of her that Alex just doesn't seem to see. So far, I'm not feeling much of a connection between A. and DAnielle and Amber seems a little too eager. I guess I'll be rooting for Tessa. She's finally opening up a little and I really like her. m aybem r .I'll wait and see what happens next week. I heard them say that after the hometown visits he has 3 roses, I sure hope that means Bevin will be gone.

Anonymous said...

This show always confuses me. His date with Tessa looked like a real and deeper connection, and then 2 minutes later he's making out with Bevin and talking about their electricity. And, Andy, please stop pawing all the girls! Jeez, you're like the 8th dwarf, Gropey!

I like Tessa. Bevin is unstable (that's a good description for her, Sydney). Amber is immature. And other girl is not registering on the radar (hence, her name, other girl).

Why can't we knock out 2 of them next week? It always drags towards the end.

Anonymous said...

Yes, I am loving Tessa but I know he has that chemistry with bevin...and I liked her at first..but now this whole divorce thing..she should have told him up front, but then she would have been gone gone gone.....I dont know what the tragedy is with Amber and the hometown date but it doesnt look good...
ANDY boy is too RANDY with Bevin!
Sheesh, I cant recall the "other girls" name now either! how strange!
Thanks to you all for the insightful comments...do love it!

Anonymous said...

I watched the end again tis am and it looks like Amber's family will not meet him..so that is the tragedy. I believe Andy will not like Bevin's deception and she will get a dandelion. IMAO Danielle is the other girl's name, I too keep forgetting it! I see nothing between them and maybe she is just a throw-away as they dwindle down. Really like Tessa, but was shocked when he gave the 1st rose to Bevin. Who knows!!! One of the big questions he needs to answer also is "who will make the better military wife", trust me it is not easy and he can be on a ship for a long time. 30 yr officer's wife here so I know about what is expected of the spouse. Can not wait for the family visits.

Sydney said...

Wow delee--

I didn't even consider that part of it. He has done no talking at all about what his life is like. Or they have not shown that to us yet... He is busy asking him about what they want, and he says he wants kids, fitness, fun, charity, and to keep being a kid at heart "geek", but he doesn't mention serving still, living on base, that he could be away for long periods, etc... I do not fault Bevin for not mentioning divorce when he doesn't mention something as big as that, if it's what's ahead for him.

BTW, why would someone not want to give Bevin a rose if she said she was divorced? I totally agree she was withholding the news this last ep to get the rose first, but bursting out with it sooner than that would have cost her the ability to let things build before those things come out. In real life, we don't tell someone our warts on the first few dates, but not to be sneaky (just appropriate).

The only thing that might bum him out is that marrying him would not be a first time experience for the both of them. But I would think less of him if he thougth me to be used goods and turned off if I told him I'd already been married. Just my opinion though.

Sounds from previews that she got married very young, so that might show a little less than great judgement...

Anonymous said...

It IS the fact that she (Bevin) hid the info from him. She's had many opportunities to tell him and she chose not to precisely because she didn't want to take the chance he would send her home. And waiting until the final four and the family visits makes it worse. He could have chosen someone else in the final four if he does have a problem with it, which could be for religious reasons or maybe foe personal reasons within his family or among his friends. I think she was just plain dishonest and sneaky. SAME as when she played up the ankle thing and all those annoying whiny tears. I also didn't like the way she tried psyche out Amber for her own selfish reasons. I, too, think she's an unstable woman and strikes me as a bit desparate.

Sydney said...

Joy, I do agree with you there. I have a concern he's going to end up wtih her because he was a lot of obvious chemistry with her.... you can tell that he kisses her differently. The only other person I think he really truly connects with is Tessa, and he kisses her with feeling but more tenderly. Did you notice he does an eskimo nose rub after kisses... but not with everyone (I think he just does this with Tess... or Tess and all the others but not Bevin). So I think he's just got a raw case of the hots for Bevin with his connection and a more emotional kind of attraction to Tess in his connection to her. Amber, I just can't tell.

I still think Tess vs. Bevin in the final two, unless he ousts Bevin on the divorce thing, and Amber goes up a notch due to their sharing the personal issue of her sadness that her mother or parents weren't going to show.

She said in Bevin's little approach to her last week that she was more mature than her 23 years because she had to raise her kid siblings. So I wasn't surprised when they previewed that there was a problem with her parents once she got to her hometown. She's carrying a great sadness that Andy get's to see, and the fact that she has been strong and responsible from an early age in the face of her circumstances might really flesh her out to us all.

And didn't he saw with Other Girl that he wasn't sure if she was going to be a great friend or a love last ep? That's deadly!

Anonymous said...

Sydney, great point on Amber's family. I missed that connection, somehow. Yes, Alex definitely has the "hots" for Bevin, and I guess we have to wait to see how that plays out next week. As for Danielle, I agree, the "friend thing" is a bad omen. Depending on Alex's reaction to Bevin's revelation, I'm thinking she or Danielle will be out this next week.

Anonymous said...

And please let it be Bevin... out that is. I just think she has no scruples.

Danielle is so non-descript that I doubt she's in the running at all, he just needed 4 girls. Wasn't it only 3 families last year?

I felt so sorry for Amber when they showed in the previews that her family was a no show. Wonder if they're just camera shy or what?

I think Tess will be in the final two...don't know who will be the other.

Anonymous said...

Hope you're right about that, Meb. I'm rooting for Tessa too and I'm definitely not a fan of Bevin's.

Sydney said...

Meb -- My guess is that there's trouble with Amber's family... like something unhealthy -- whatever. Deadbeat dad, mom's an alcoholic or something. Why would she be left to raise her sibs -- mom was not available somehow... that could be cuz she was working like a dog to support the kids as a simgle mom or something different like she was running off with guys or was abusing some substance and just could not step up to the plate.

I think there was 4 families last year, but dang if I can remember. I had to stop drinking coffee about 9 months ago, and it's amazing what that stuff does for my IQ! Lol And it's DAnielle, thank you Joy!

Anonymous said...

I swear, I remember it as four couples last season, too, Sydney.

Anonymous said...

Sheesh, I meant 4 families!

Sydney said...

Welllll ladies... were you expecting this? I would like to say I was as he just didn't kiss her like the others but then the person I was watching with said, "But that's just what they show you to lead you to think certain things, how do you KNOW they didn't kiss more?" But in this case, they producers weren't messing around.

I missed the Bevin date, do you believe it? I was watching Heroes, unaware that they cross over. DANG! I guess if Dla watched it again on the website, so can I. Dying for you to tell me what happened.

Tess certainly looked awful vulnerable when standing there waiting for the rose ceremony to start... I think it's her her her in the end. I know guys like the chase and mystery and all, but do you think her always hesitant approach is working for her on him?

I'm full of questions tonight!

Anonymous said...

Sydney the thing with Bevin seemed to go alright, but Andy was somewhat unsettled when she told him that as a teenager, she had been married, but that it didn't last long. You learned that she has been divorced for 6 years. Her family consisted of her father, her step-mother, her mother was also there along with her sister. The family meeting went well for Andy. Bevin and her father had a talk and he told her that if it was what she wanted she should go for it. Otherwise she would be unhappy if she didn't.
I still don't want him to pick her.

I too believe it's Tessa. She appears to be apprehensive about accepting his offer to spend the night with him behind closed doors next week. Good for her. I never cared for that part of the show in the first place. How can he do that with 3 women. I know they don't necessarily have to be having sex, but I'll bet the majority of them do. They may feel it'll seal the deal for them.

Oh well... it was all good tonight.

Anonymous said...

I felt so bad for Amber tonight. Andy was right to send her home, as they are at different places in life, but she'll always believe it was because of her family situation. So sad.

I still cannot tell if Andy's more serious about Bevin or Tessa. Either the editing is really good, or they coach him to say certain things. He seems to have the chemistry with Bevin, but Tess is more his ideal woman.

That dinner at Tessa's was sooo uncomfortable. Her friend seemed a little out-of-line with the interrogation, but her dad seemed nice.

Andy is really pushing Tessa to commit to being in love with him, but good grief, the whole show only takes about a month to tape. If he's looking for maturity in a woman, he should respect that it may be a little too soon for her.

dla said...

This is getting a bit creepy! I know that the editing is always clever, but he continues to make those comments to each of them that have to be giving them false hope!

I agree that it was Amber's time to go, but it was sad. It definitely seems that she has had more than her share of tough times, and you could tell that she was genuinely hurting. ;(

Still don't have a favorite, which is a first for me. I am typically a champion behind someone's cause by midpoint in the season, if not before. Weird. I guess he is not really my favorite bachelor, so therefore, I don't care?? Who knows!

I will be extremely interested to see who jumps at the fantasy suites. You know Bevin is in. lol

Anonymous said...

hey there...dla,sydnee,etc...think I am leaning towards Danielle..I didnt think I would, I've been a Tessa fan so long...But I really liked D's family and I think they edit out what we really need to know...only show what they want to show for drama. I think Bevin cries entirely too much...I cant stand her huge tattoo on her shoulder...also I am glad Amber went home..she is too young for Andy...I am thinking if I had my way he would choose between Danielle and Tessa...I truly like them the best.

Anonymous said...

The ladies are a different group this year in my mind. I can not explain that opening! Maybe why some no real favorite. Something seems missing.

After watching and reading comments, I wonder if Danielle is sneeking under our radar?? Tessa and Bevin seem to be forerunners and I just have not seen much going on with Danielle this season. Editing?

Tessa holding herself back, is that good or bad? He SEEMS bothered by that but Bevin just throws herself at him!!!! Wonder which he really prefers? Also if Tessa is really that stand-offish why is she still there?

Sydney said...

All good questions there Delee. I agree that Danielle seems really to be a great gal and I really liked her Dad...he seemed worried and welcoming at teh same time. I think there's lots we don't see of Tessa, and yes, why would she still be there if there wasn't more. When he said she's as crazy as he is (and then they romped in the snow) I thought, we have only seen her as reserved, even with the girls in the house, so there must be more we don't see.

If Andy said I want you to fall in love with me and I want to fall in love with you to more than one person, then he's just being plain irresponsible... but I think it's cuz Tessa is his #1. He needed to know. For me it was his way of saying: I understand your protecting yourself but we only have this time to go where we need to... are you serious and capable of going for it or not?

Tessa seems ladylike and Bevin seems the wild child (exciting to Andy) and both can be attractive. Danielle is an unassuming, down to earth, lovely person, but I'm not sure she has enough of either of the above to give his heart that zing. I can see Andy's geeky side, as he describes himself... and he says he has an idealized version of marraige. I think he's not going to be happy long term having babies with Bevin. Is she going to be happy on a base with Andy after the first flush of it all disappears? I hope he chooses the right girl!

I also wonder if they've asked him if he's in the Navy for life. Sure the girls aren't thinking of it at all. Believe it's a 6 year term of service but you can renew and do it til yuo're 38 and retire with all benifits and go on to do something else... I guess that's just 8 more years for him/them....

The military has changed alot but usually is 7-10 years service for medical assistance with school. Their rank increases differently(faster {so pay is higher}) than a regular officers. Othropedics is an advanced field ($500,000 to obtain) and normal peeps to become a surgical othro is around the age of 35-37.

Will next week be revealing (?), I do not know. They are going to Hawaii, but his parents do not live there. SO my guess is that they will be brought there for the meeting! Do not remember a mention of the girls meeting his parents. Help on that! He said he grew up in PA. Wonder where!

Great comments all. Kisses and Hugs

Andy actually took the divorce news pretty well and said he appreciated her honesty. But then he said the divorce worries him because marriage means so much to him and divorce is not something he ever thinks about. He added that "It's raised a red flag." Man, I hope so! I just can't believe she's real, somehow. Yet, when he's alone with her, he ACTS like he's in love with her. If he did pick her in the end, I just don't see the happy ending he's hoping for. I do see Tessa opening up more emotionally to him and I'm hoping in the long run that the two of them work this out. Surprisingly, I'm liking Danielle more after this episode, she seems like a very sweet person. But still living with her parents at 25 makes me think maybe, she's not ready yet to fly the coop, you know? It was very sad for Amber, but I agree with all of you, she was the right one to go. I especially agree with dia, that Bevin will be the first, and probably only one who might fully take advantage of full use of the fanasty suite. I'm gonna keep on rooting for Tessa.

Anonymous said...

Delee.....I don't recall hearing anything about the women meeting his parents, either. Naval secrecy, maybe, since we're at war? Meeting in Hawaii would make sense then. Who knows?

Sydney said...

Do ya think that Andy might, behind closed doors in that suite with Bevin, not go all the way? I mean, if he takes this all so seriously, he would be proposing to one of the two girls within a few days, so would he bonk Bevin if he was going to propose to Tessa in 72 hours???????????????????????

Would he bonk Bevin if he were going ot propose to HER in 72 hours? I mean, he is touchy feely but he also seems to be idealistic... might he want to wait? Or make sure everything "works" with the girl he wants?

I know he is a guy, and it can be hard to turn it down, especially after an amazing day and several cocktails. I know he has a gift for making someone feel like the only person in the room (He'll be a great dad and have a fabulous bedside manner as a doc). But for all his talk about connection, I still say he has KISSED each girl differently, at least what they show.

So far his choices have matched his kisses, so I don't think the producers are messing with us on that aspect. He gave Amber 2 pecks when he was leaving her apartment. He made out a little with Danielle, something is there. He swallows Bevins face. With Tessa, I see true emotion mixed with true attraction together in his kisses. Not always in the sound bytes, but in his kiss it's there.

Your opinions please!!!!

Anonymous said...

Too funny Sydney...who knows what has happened behind many special suite doors in past episodes? He does seem straight forward and I doubt there will be any "bonking", of course we will never know!

Anonymous said...

From Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andy_Baldwin):

Andy is from Lancaster, PA and his dad is a former Republican State Rep and mom is a high-school math teacher. He dated and lived with a triathlete model (Lokelani McMichael) from 2002-2004 and then dated a Bachelor 4 contestant (Kerry, a nurse? don’t remember her) in 2005. He is currently serving an 8-year military commitment (doesn’t say when it began).

And IMHO, if Bevin gets him behind closed doors, she’ll never let him escape without sealing the deal. As Sydney said, he continues to “swallow her face” whenever they’re together (very true and very funny!) so I doubt he’ll be able to resist. I believe there will be definite "bonking" in that Bachelor suite!

Sydney said...

Anon -- Good info! I read about Lokilani in this month's issue of Oustider Magazine and meant to mention it. It was actually a half page feature on Andy and they mentioned he'd gone out with her for a few years. She looks a lot like.... Tessa! Check it out if you want to see.

http://www.sports-wired.com/women/Lokelani_McMichael.html

She's in the Guiness Book of Records for being the youngest woman to ever complete the Iron Man (age 18)... There are gorgeous pix of her on Google. She also models and hosts TV gigs here and there... "Known to be one of the most beautiful female athletes in the world!" Hmm... wonder what didn't work about that? Maybe what seems like a perfect match isn't when both are too similar... too driven to have what Andy wants.

I think I'd be intimidated by eating so much as an errant potato chip once I was settled in with Andy. Lol

Anonymous said...

I should have said Bevin would definitely try to bed Andy. As you said, Sydney, he is a man, but he also seems to be an ethical man. So who knows/??? But nothing that Bevin tries to do would surprise me at this point.

Sydney said...

I got to see Bevin's home visit after all --I thought my Tivo dropped it. Andy really seemed excited to see her. Though she was clearly uncomfortable telling hiim about the marriage, I think she picked the right words all through. He got nervous seeing how nervous she was... I agree Joy, tho seems the sound byte of his saying it sends a red flag was countered by his satement at dates end that it shaped her etc... Plus, he seemed to really like her family.

But I too want to know why there were so many tears (someone else mentioned that), and why she grabbed onto her dad and hugged him SOOOO long at the beginning (both obviously crying) that Andy had to side step them and introduce himself to her mother, sister and stepmother!!! And seeing the father-daughter talk, the father was so choked up as she was again sobbing. Whatthaf is going AWN? I'm a huge sap myself -- I get weepy practically every Oprah show -- but even I think there's something going on in Bevin's history that could be a time bomb and Andy will only find out in time... yet, he's as excited about her as Tess, if not more. I want to like her, but I'VE got red flags now lol!

I do think this is a better Bachelor than in the last few seasons, including Jen Scheff's second go round. Andy seems serious and the girls are truly invested, so it is more geniune than it has been.

I am totally convinced Andy and Tessa should be together. I think Danielle still has an issue with her dead fiance and Bevin just strikes me as a phony who will say whatever she thinks he wants to hear. Go Tessa!

Sydney said...

Wow -- I realyl admired how well Danielle handled this, she sure has maturity I never had at that age. The more I saw of her the lovlier I thought she was but Andy and Bevin just have more chemistry and Tessa not only has that "mystery" but has made him work for it, which seems to be the magic recipe for winning a guy.

I liked Bevin in her testimonial talks with that camera more than I liked her with him. If I hear her say AWESOME one more time... While it was good to see her being something other than moody or only flirty, there is something not fully genuine about Bevin coming through. It's clear she's really into Andy, but something is not coming from True North in her 100% and I think he will pick that up in the end, when he has to find some reason to decide between these two girls.

Anonymous said...

I loved Danielle and I think she is a great girl...hopefully some wonderful guy will see her on this and track her down.
Tessa seems almost too shy for him..he really likes the agressive Bevin...if shes says Awesome and he says Electric one more time...well phooey.
O am wondering if I even care to see who he picks next week???
His parents look so cute and older than I thought...

Sydney, I completely agree! Bevin does not ring true for some reason. She has been so moody, so controversial with the way she milked her injury, and she just seems like a different person when she is with him. I can't put my finger on it, but I have not cared for her since the injury...

I was also impressed with Danielle's maturity and poise in the face of such disappointment! I get so turned off when they turn all Nancy Kerrigan "whyyyyy meeeee?" when they don't get a rose. I am so much more impressed when they leave with dignity.

Finally, I just don't think I want to know what really happens in the fantasy suites... It is just too much information! lol

I posted my last comment before seeing all of Danielle's date withh Andy, and even though she said she still may have "issues" with her late boyfriend, I felt so bad for her when she left. I hope, too, that she meets a great guy in her future. Why Andy would let her go before Bevin is crazy. Passion is great in a relationship, of course, but it's certainly not everything and I still think Bevin loses points for not telling Andy about her divorce until he had feelings vested in her. I think she's a plotter and I wonder if there are other secrets he's not yet aware of. .Of the two left, I think Tessa is by far, the most sincere and after this week, she seems to genuinely have growing feelings for him. I understand her cautiousness in the situation of a reality show, but on the other hand , I think Bevin wants to win that perfect husband with a great future, period. I think she will be a whin y, moody wife to whom ever she marries, and, if Andy is smart, he will realize that.

Terry in CA- Have you heard that we ladies are trying to pull together a meet up with each other and Jackie in NYC in either July or early September? Any chance you can join us? I know its a far way away for you -- I'd be coming from as far as TX and I think Dla is in Nevada...

I'm so happy Andy picked Tessa. She seems to have genuine feelings for him. I was never convinced that Bevin did. Even tonight when she said she loved him and was kissing him, there was no emotion on her face. I'm hoping that Andy and Tessa are one of the few exceptions to this show and really live happily ever after. Can't wait to see tomorrow night's show.

Well, I have to say I actually was so sorry to see that Bevin didn't get it -- as I was getting so fed up with how hard it is for Tessa to say everything. Her appeal besides her elegance and, from his families comments, a beauty that must translate even more in person, I DID pick up that she seems to be kind of goofy in a good way humor wise. I know men like mystery and that they have to work for it, but I just got exhausted by Tessa's resesrve. I truly hope they are happy though.

And-- I know I know, Bevin would probably be a handful up the road, but I the more I heard her speak I felt better about her... and she did seem the most mature of any bachelorette in that rejection. I mean, WOW, to say absolutley not one word. That was real heartbreak on both her and Andy's part.

OK, I am watching Pacific time, and since when did the Bachelor begin to tell the girls that he loved them?!? When he just told "Bev" that her loved her too, I almost fell out! Talk about a big fat letdown!

I will continue to watch and post again at the end. I had already read the spoilers, so I figured he chose Tessa.

hey gals, I hate to see this season in, and yet, I checked the spoilers tonight and its not over here yet! Im relieved he picked Tessa...one of the spoilers said she declined tho?? is this true?
Oh Lord the Drama!
Sydney, how cool for us all to meet...I will be in New York July 26-Aug3 but in Cooperstown...my grandson is in a baseball league.
thanks for askinge and thinking about me though.
Cant wait till Big brother!!!

I never heard "them" tell the others that they loved em either. I went HUH???? Anyone else notice during intimate talks that Bevin was constantly looking down or side to side, rarely did their eyes meet. That was my clue the spoiler was correct.

Glad Tessa got him!!! I liked her since the beginning. I wish them luck and we will see if they stay together.

Although I like Bev better after last night, I think Andy made the right choice. He seemed to be the most grounded of all the Bachelors so I'm surprised there wasn't more talk about what a relationship would be after many years, facing hardship, etc. Bev would be a disaster. Andy's grandfather was GREAT! I also don't understand why the men seem so bent on making someone commit to them and spill all their feelings when they know he is dating other women.

I totally understand how hard it must be once in that situation to NOT get swept away, but I almost fell off my chair when he told both he loved them.

Do I sound like a school marm if I say I thought it was really irresponsible, and that made me doubt him and his maturity a bit? All the way through I watched his upbeat comments... Gee isn't this a great beach, wow, look at the moon, I feel a CONNECTION WITH YOU and you and you and you and you and you.

I understand he is a bit of a boy scout -- he will be a great doctor and a great father becasue he talks to everyone like they are in kindergarden -- always encouraging and positive his comments, but very simplistic as well. Andy wants to be nice and that is a good thing, but I thought it was to a fault at times (and this was a big one) -- meaning he may have a need to be nice to the point he doesn't recognise the concequences... like that it lead to a far bigger let down for Bevin.

He has love for them both, I get that, and he means it, I get that, but in this situation to use the word love, it means LOVE the big L word to the girls.

I bet the producers hit the roof... there is a rule that you can't express how you are feeling in the show especiallly in the last two dates.

I remember when Ryan was going nuts on his last date night before Trista was to choose. He was practically begging for a sign as they were laying by a fire and Trista had to keep tight lipped. Ditto Jen and Andy Firestone... they said they were sure they had the best match from way early on, but he was forbidden to TELL her that.

Anyway, I'm sure they will talk about it on tonight's After The Rose show!

On the View today, Andy said (in front of Tessa) that he loves Bevin but is "in love with Tessa".

In watching last night's show, I got the impression that Andy had Tessa as his first choice because she has all the "qualities" he is looking for, but he felt Bevin was more of a sure thing, so went down the road of saying "I love you" to Bevin. But then Tessa came through with what he wanted to hear, so he was almost relieved that he could pick her. I agree with Sydney's comment about his maturity and the use of the "L" word. I think if he truly loved Bevin (even as a friend) he would not have led her on quite so far, to hurt her so bad. I think he was keeping her as a back-up in case Tessa didn't commit.

I was never a Bevin fan, but I did feel bad for her last night. But kudos to her for not saying a word (to argue with him or let him off the hook) when he told her.

I watched the view also, and thought it was interesting that the ladies asked him about whether they are really in love, or will they break up in a few months like most of the other Bachelors. He pointed to the ring and said they were committed, but they have to get to know each other. I hope it works out for them, but I don't think it's a sure thing they will be getting married.

well, I do think of all the recent bachelors, Andy has the skills to have kept things alive in the dreaded 3 month separation that I think is as much responsible for these new relationship's demise as anything else (hello-- when are the prodcuers going to get a clue about that?).

yes the couples all get to meet about twice in that time but it is hardly enough, and so all they have are calls, e-mials and maybe they get to send little gifts (though maybe not as families are not supposed to know either). Andy at least seems he would have the ability to sustain courting on a daily basis under those circumstances. And then it still takes two... Will be interesting to see.

Only saw bits and pieces of the show and it seems like the separation did not hurt so far. Taped it for later. Now unto DWTS.

I watched the Bachelor special and taped AI for later. I know a lot of people will didagree with me.....but I still feel little sorrow for Bevin. I felt her whole segment was her playing to the audience and later with Andy, her pouring the guilt onto Andy. And also, possibly trying to lay the groundwork to being available for Andy should it not work out with Tessa. She said she had a feeling when she got into the limo that she wouldn't be picked. I've watched the tape again twice and I don't believe she felt that way at all. She was convinced she would be chosen. Tonight she spoke often with tears in her voice, but only once with tears in her eyes. She'd be "crying" one second, then laughing or smiling the next. She was wearing a hot pink cast, but on her Hawaiian date, she kayaked and jumped very readily into that waterfall. Maybe it healed and then got re-broken. I truly believe tonight was just an opportunity to play on people's sympathy and put her "best foot forward". She was out to win and she didn't and I think winning was what it was all about all along. I am so glad Andy chose Tessa and very glad to hear that they are going to take things slowly. They sure seem to be a couple falling in love and I truly hope it works out for them. I don't know that Andy will ever realize the bullet he dodged in not choosing Bevin. I would love to hear Bevin's ex's side of their story.

Well Ladies -- I hope you are all checking in for one last look to see if there are any more comments so you can read this.

It's been SO much fun to have company watching this show. It just makes it all so much better. Though everyone I knew seemed to watch Sex in the City or Sopranos, I knew almost no on ewho watched the bachelor... or would talk about it! I used to sit on the couch on Mondays, watching season after season, with virtually no one to hash over it all with, until now.

This season ended up being highly watchable. Hope next season brings us as good or better. Many thanks to you all and to Jackie for making us our little meet up board.

It was my pleasure. Next season, I'll put up a new post for the show. I'm happy that you all had fun here... it's a good group!

Sydney, I completely agree! This has been a blast!

And, as always, thank you to our Hostess-With-The-Mostess, Jackie! Without Jackie, none of this would be possible!

I will be most anxious to watch and see how this relationship works out. They do remind me a bit of Byron and Mary, in that they may not be the most exciting couple, but they do seem grounded and truly in this for the right reasons. I wish them the best, as I don't have any understanding how these people are willing to go on national TV and put themselves out there the way they do... I could never participate in something like this!

What a major HOTTIE!!! He kind of looks like David Beckham. Why does everyone own bars/restautants?

Rich-self made-steamy what more could we want? WOW and he has a twin!!! Hope alcohol is less of a pasttime this year...bring on the chicks...IMAO later all

Guess I was wrong...why drink so much and make a spectacle of yourself?

I love his crooked smile (swoon here). AND he has an identical twin. OOH! Plus, that very nice dimple on the left side of his smile ain't bad either....Ahem.

The women, so far: still too early to tell, really, but he does seem a little "taken" with Jenni,
mentioned how much he likes her smile a few times.

Mc Carten with the bottom dweller comment. No. Mallory with the bikini. Too pushy. Drunk Melissa with the boob fallout. No. Morgan with the webbed toes? UGH! Michele, Pushy. All the M's, hmm. Tauni, the drunken nurse. Maybe not. Oh, well, who knows?

Well, shows what I know, he kept 3 of the five M's.

Looks like, ala the previews, maybe Jenni turns out to be a possible biotch.
