Update, Update ... This is an Update

Nope, not a TV image. This is a shot I took in the NYC subway as a train was going by. I think it symbolizes how quickly things can pass us by.

I apologize for the lack of an entry yesterday. I have many things going on -- some good, some not so good, but all seem to be time-sapping. On the good end, I have a new computer monitor as my old one was fading away (thanks and a shout out to my brother for my birthday gift). I also bought a cheapie MP3 player and found out that all the Rhapsody music I've downloaded for years on my computer due to the BB SuperPass have to be burned to a CD before I can load them in the MP3 player as they're RealPlayer file format. The last few months of my SuperPass they've switched to MP3 format at Rhapsody, but I have years of the downloads.

I go not only to the vampires tomorrow, but to the orthopedic surgeon, too. It's my pre-release back to work visit. Right now I don't think I'm ready to stress the knee as much as need be for my return to work. When I go back, I have to return full time and with very few work restrictions. So I don't know. I'll see what the doctor says.

Also, tomorrow is the season premiere of Survivor. I'll be covering it here and on TV Squad later in the evening. It's going to be two hours. Right now I'm not sure if I'll do an actual live-blog here or not. I'll decide before it airs!

Can I get a show of hands from folks who want a Prison Break discussion post set up?

Me First, Me First! I teach pre-k so I hear that all day and now I might be first.

I love Prison Break. I would love to see a posting for it.

I also loved the Evil Dick interviews. Thanks for posting them. Maybe he will replace Julie.

Good luck at the doctor's tomorrow!

Hi Jackie -- I don't watch Prison Break, but I'm just saying hi. It's good to hear how you're doing. Let us know what the doc says once you've seen him. Will this also be the blood test that tells you if you can go off the coumadin? I think you said the time frame had been extended sometime in August.. or were you always to take it til October???

Jackie I am so excited about Survivor starting, long time till tomorrow night~
I tried to watch the ED interviews, but got quickly bored.
Im not a heroes fan, but all of you seem to really like it, I might give it another try...
Good luck at the doctor, and dotn go back one minute before you are ready...you hear???

Sydney - When I was released from the hospital I was only supposed to be on Coumadin for three months (to end 8/15 at the time). They extended that to six months, so I have to go for weekly blood draws and deal with rat poison issues until mid-December.

Terry - Don't worry if you can't get into Heroes. It's a rather different kind of show.

And to those who asked on the last post -- NO. I am NOT live-blogging Bush tonight!

Gak Jax. You deserve a halo.

Jackie, level with the doctor on just what you will face when you return to work. He won't want you to fall backward in your recovery.

I do not watch Prison Break or Heroes, but am hung up on Criminal Minds. The season opener is tonight.

I am looking forward to Survivor tomorrow night.

Jackie: you didn't by any chance watch "The Mentalist"? It was pretty good. I'm usually not into crime dramas...

I hope you can ease back into working without jeopardizing (sp?!) your recovery...

Orkie, did you see that Albglinka wants to be in on the pool? He posted something in the Heroes section.

Sydney, I don't think ORK has a home computer and only logs on at work. It may be in the morning before she sees his and your comment.

Jackie, just wanted to say hi and wish you good luck tomorrow. As others have said, be honest and don't go back before you are ready!

Albglinka - I missed it, but heard it compared to a grown-up Psych.

Albglinka - I watched The Mentalist last night. I'm not sure yet. I really want to like it! A pilot show usually has too much crammed into it to give us a back story, and I found that to be true of this one. I'll give it a few more weeks because, as I said, I want to like it!

Hey Jackie. This is Richard in Houston. I would love to see your reviews of Prison Break. So much crazy stuff happens and with your humor and writing style it would be a lot of fun to read. I was also wondering if you knew what was going on over at TVS. For at least a week there were no reviews or hardly anything. It looks like its starting to pick back up now on some shows. Everyone is asking whats going on in the comments and nobody is responding. There are also a bunch of new bloggers there. Is AOL changing everything up? It's a bad time of the tv season to be doing all that. Thanks Jackie.

Donna in AL - I figured as much, so hopefully she'll tune in tomorrow to see if Jackie blogged Bush and find the news ;-)

Jackie... I think you know by now that I would like a Prison Break post. I know you're not going to be blogging it, unless we can convince you how good it is.

Just finished watching a tivo'd Mentalist and think I'm going to like it.

Also just watched Criminal Minds. I have to say that I love all the shows I watch (duh...otherwise I wouldn't be watching them), but I really think Criminal Minds is about the best.

Good luck tomorrow at the doctor's Jackie. I hope it works out for you. Not sure from how you wrote whether you have the option not to go back to work yet if the doctor says no.

Glad to hear you're still writing for TV Squad. Had me worried for a sec.

Hey Jackie, I wish you good luck tomorrow. My dad has been on cumadin for years with weekly visits to check.

Did I miss it or did you not present the final Survivor contestants.

Not complaining. Have had a few bad days and am desperately looking to escape with Survivor tomorrow night.

Again, good luck tomorrow Jackie and thank you for all you do. There are days that you are my only sunshine. So again, thank you Jackie.

Jackie - You can find freebie music file converters all over the internet. Just search for "RealPlayer to MP3 Converter". I had a bunch of files to convert a few months ago and had tons of options to choose from!

Good luck!
