survivor,jackiestvblog

Survivors Ready?

Welcome one, welcome all! It's the third episode and the blog party is ready to start! Everyone is welcome to join in with comments as the show airs here on the East Coast or even later in West Coast time.

Just a warning -- I'm SO sick with a killer cold and will try to post the major happenings in this entry. But, if I don't, the comments should have the latest.

Younger tribe wins immunity and reward.

Jimmy Johnson was voted out.

Hope your feel better Jackie!

Let's get the party started!

Sorrow to hear you aren't feeling well Jackie. Hope you don't have the knock out type of cold I had all weekend.

Promise to keep it down to a dull roar tonight. Well me at least, can't speak for everyone else.

Elizabeth Beetschen said...

*Sorry* that is.

Good thing I teach Accounting and not English. :)

Joe in NY said...

Hi folks!

Feel better soon, Jackie!

Merrilee said...

that Nokima chick has to go! Sorry to whoever has her in the pool.

Lifeguard Laurie said...

No fun feeling sickly. Take care of yourself, Jackie, and we'll take care of things here!

Joe in NY said...

I'm guessing the old folks are going to tribal with all the attention they are getting.

Y'know, the youngsters told Jeff that you should always use the Medallion. I think they have to use it themselves.

joyn said...

Does NaOnka like anybody? If she thinks Fabio's head sounds hollow, I'll bet hers is solid rock.

Joe in NY said...

there are some really unlikeable people on both tribes.

I agree!

Sharon S said...

hi all, sorry I'm late. I forgot the pool was open!

Jackie, sorry you are ill. Hope you conquer it fast.

Merrilee said...

Wow! I thought for sure the younger team would use the mediallion.

Sharon S said...

Dan's not looking good for staying....

Elizabeth Beetschen said...

What is with the combo challenges? Being an almost oldie, I get that it helps them a bit (possibly) but still..

Sharon S said...

Not for nothin' but Tyrone is my pool pick... :)

Merrilee said...

yay! go older team!

Sharon S said...

guess his older arm got tired...

Merrilee said...

crap! what happened? we had a lead?

Becky said...

Get better, Jackie. I hope you are staying home and letting Nurse Vincent take care of you.

Darn, darn, darn, I thought the Golden Oldies were going to win it. They should have pulled Tyron earlier. I hope he doesn't go home because of it. I also hope that Jimmy J. is safe.

I DO NOT LIKE Marty and JT is a PITA.

Sharon S said...

Right there with you Becky.

Just chattin' with a former student online -- he loves Noanka. Silly youngster.

joyn said...

I was just saying that NaOnka doesn't seem to like anybody.

Joe in NY said...

Naonka is the least likeable person EVERN on this show. She just pummeled a handicapped girl to steal a clue for herself right in front of her entire tribe. Evil Russell never even pulled that kind of crap.

Sharon S said...

It frightens me that she is a teacher. Seriously. She should not be around children.

Joe in NY said...

Doesn't "Naonka" mean "Fool"? LMAO

Elizabeth Beetschen said...

Now Joe, don't you now that Russell wouldn't have even needed any clues to find the idol.

Joe in NY said...

OMG, another guy who is going to talk himself out of the game.

Merrilee said...

I hope that Naonka is FIRED as soon as she returns to school. This has to be embarrassing to both the shcool and the students.

Joe in NY said...

LMAO, Lisanne.

Sharon S said...

Beyond embarrassing, her attitude about others and how she talks about hurting them goes directly against any Code of Professional Ethics I've ever read as a teacher. She could lose her job based on that.

Becky said...

Jimmy T accomplished what he wanted, he got a bad light shown on Jimmy J for "poor leadership". I hated to see JJ call Tyron down.

I sure wouldn't want Naonka teaching my child, grandchild or dog! That is one bitter, unlikeable woman.

Merrilee said...

I think that sometimes Marty just has to put on his "Big Girl" panties and suck it up...I have a pair if he needs to borrow them!

Sydney said...

Howdy Survivors! I forgot it was on Wednesday (thank the gods for TIVO) and went to the grocery store. Came in at 7:29 and realized!!

I brought a massive pan of brownies for everyone. Dig in!

Don't want to see Jimmy go yet.

Elizabeth Beetschen said...

Wait are they really considering keeping the injured guy?

Sydney said...

well, I have Dan in the pool but wouldn't mind seeing him go. Is anyone with that other guy? Do we like him?

Sharon S said...

I'm hoping they don't send Jimmy J home either. Wish someone would get rid of Marty --he's just jealous Jimmy has more power than he does.

Merrilee said...

Jeff just refreenced a Dan Folgety song "Centerfield" ...put me in coach, I'm ready to play...

joyn said...

Too many listen to Jimmy J. and Marty wants them to listen to him.

Becky said...

I may choke Marty and JT myself.

Merrilee said...

my vote tonight is for Marty.

Joe in NY said...

I've never been a Jimmy J. fan, but he's much better than Jimmy T. What a nimrod!

Merrilee said...

Let's see if Marty has the balls to lead this tribe. He got what he wanted.

Tessa said...

Why did Jimmy Johnson just shoot himself down?

Sharon S said...

Dummies.

Becky said...

Okay, Mr. Big Mouth Marty, let's see you put your money where your mouth is and we will judge you on how you lead.

Sharon S said...

I'm not sure they can get to the merge with the numbers without Jimmy. They were afraid they couldn't win against him, but they won't get a chance to win without him.

Becky said...

Merrilee, I loved the Big Girl Panties comment. He needs to get them out of a wad too.

Elizabeth Beetschen said...

Am I the only one thinking "boo - hiss" what a bad decision?

Sydney said...

Awww shoot. His humbleness in saying he's a weak player bit him in the butt.

He could have said something more like I'm the oldest, but what makes you weak? Only physicality? In this game you can be strong mentally, strategically, & socially as well. Using those terms, I'd day I'm not the weakest player either.

joyn said...

Have a feeling they may regret that decision. If nothing else, Jimmy J gave them direction. Marty is totally out for himself, which I realize is part of the game, but it's a little early in the game to play only for yourself at this point, isn't it?

Jackie S. said...

I have Marty in the pool. Doesn't mean I like him. If memory serves, he's the CEO of Yahoo.

Anonymous said...

Why didn't Jeff ask for the Idol, before reading the votes?

joyn said...

Ouch! The vote was 8-1.

Anonymous said...

i would have voted out the guy who kept missing the barrels!

Sydney said...

Jackie- now I could go back and read your post and you must feel really bad. A lot of people are sick around here -- change of season (even though the weather is still wacky as ever), the stuff put in the air from the plants beginning to fall, lots of wierd stuff blowing in from all the hurricane and tropical storms... I hope you are cozy at home with Vincent and can just get better. Was today your day off?

RyzandShyn said...

Boo, Hiss...what a bunch of losers to vote Jimmy Johnson out!
Well, now I'm no longer a fan of the older tribe, so there.
I actually covered my eyes beecause it hurt to watch them vote him out.
Noticed they didn't have "Fabio" or any name by Judd's (name? young blonde kid) photos in the opening credits like they did last week. I bet the fact that there's a real Fabio is the reason. I would put "Not Fabio" in the opening credits then. Can't wait for the PE teacher whose name is like Nakomis to get voted out....mean mean mean girl.

RyzandShyn said...

Feel better, Jackie. Hope you get to stay home to rest tomorrow sounds like a monsoon is headed our way.

Random Thoughts:

"You're my boy, Blue!"

Bye Coach. I had you in the pool. I'll miss you.

Coach got screwed. Not because he should have lasted a lot longer, but I feel that tonight was an example where the numbers were there, but his 'fans' voted with the crowd. Maybe it's just me, but it seems like this type of voting has become more commonplace lately on the reality shows. If everyone who said they wanted him to stay had voted that way, he wouldn't have left.

Naonka. The first thing I wrote about her was a question about her teaching children, and tonight she does this. She brings a new low to SURVIVOR. My question to HER would be, why? Because, there is ZERO chance anyone would ever vote for her to get any money even if by some fluke she made it to the end. A truly ugly human being.

Marty and Jimmy T. They wanted Coach out. They got their wish, so who's going to step up as the new leader now, guys?

Marty got Coach out (his wish), and he managed to turn Jill giving him the idol into some great generous move on his part to unite the tribe. Funny cause it didn't look like he wanted to reveal it to the trive when JILL suggested it.

One last note on the clue that Brenda and Naonka have. What do you think the chances are that they don't find it next week? I'm betting they won't. And at the very least Naonka DEFINITELY won't be the one to figure it out.

Interesting episode, but it left me kind of depressed. I think I need to go watch Modern Family.

-Ben

I also noticed that Marty quickly took the credit for "his" idol when it was Jill who told him where to dig to find it and it was Jill who suggested Marty tell the tribe it had been found.

I think Marty is a slime and won't be surprised if he gets even slimier in the weeks to come.

He was so obviously jealous of Jimmy J's popularity on the isle.

NaOnka disgusts me more every week. A truly mean girl.

Jackie, hope you feel better soon!

Hi Jackie thanks for sharing the information about the party hope you will get well soon.

The oldsters just sealed their doom by voting out Jimmy J...he was a good coach and fairminded and brought a lot of experience. It was jealousy that did him in and karma will come a'callin. The best man is gone. It seems like the weak always join forces to vote out people they fear.

Toni said...

Who says wisdom is wasted on the old? I saw no wisdom last night.

Big mistake to vote Jimmy J off last night. I believe he was the glue that held those oldies together.

Get well.

Jackie,
Sorry to hear you have a cold. I hope you feel better soonest!
I have been down for the past 3 weeks with sinus, throat and ear infection. My face literally hurts and is swollen!
I have never been a fan of Jimmy Johnson nor of the teams he coached but I was sad to see him go last night. I am pretty sure that will prove to be a bad decision by the oldies.
NaOnka is one messed up lady. I hope her tribe mates get fed up with her smart mouth and meaness and give her the heave ho, pun intended.

**Pool Update**

Well we saw some very unsportsmanlike behavior this week. I don't think my pool pick is gonna last long at all. Maybe the young'uns will throw the next immunity just to get rid of her.
