Off Topic - That Was the Week It Was - October 3, 2010

My apologies, but I've been very sick all week. Thankfully I was on a vacation, so I didn't have to call out from work. I've been in bed most of the week with a cough, fever, chills, headache, body aches, you name it. It honestly felt more like the flu than a cold. I still have a bad cough and feel weak. But since I've eaten very little all week, I guess that's to be expected.

As a result, I didn't take any photo walks. But I do have a Vincent shot for you and I'll be back for the Amazing Race blog party tonight.

Sorry to hear it lasted all week and you still have symptoms, Jackie. Sounds like the flu for sure. Although it hasn't happened to me for a few years now (knocking on wood), I also am rendered useless for a full week when it does. Just miserable.
Hope you turn the corner once you get moving a little and eat a little.

How awful that your feeling so sick has lasted this long. It really does sound like the flu.

Hope Vincent cuddled up trying to keep you warm.

Vincent: "Can I heat up a mouse for you, Mom? Would that make you feel better?"

Jackie, sorry you were so sick. It does sound like the flue. Lousy way to spend a "stacation", but better than having to go into work sick. I am sure Vincent was not unhappy to have you there with him 24/7.

I echo everyone else in wishing you better health, Jackie. The picture of dear Vincent is quite wonderful and I'm sure he enjoyed having you home with him all this time. May you feel much better very soon.

See you later for the big race!

I too am sorry to hear you have been so sick. I hope you get a burst of energy to enjoy the Race. Vincent will probably be mad at you now when you do go to work! He's gotten used to you being there.

He'll have another day. Since I almost passed out just walking to the corner store for medicine, I already called out for tomorrow.

As Penny would sing:

Soft kitty, warm kitty,
Little ball of fur...
Happy kitty, sleepy kitty,
Purr, Purr, Purr....

Hope you feel better.

Sorry to hear you are still under the weather, Jackie. I have it as well. It's been a very hard two weeks for me as well, but just the Vincent pic was perfect for your weekly review. I love seeing his smile week in and week out.

I'll get back in the groove of the blog soon, but just know that this place brings me smiles and joy. Thanks for giving me and all of us a place to share.

Feel better soon and hugs, Monty

There is a silver lining to every cloud. You're sick and feeling crummy, you didn't get to do the things you'd planned on your staycation, but you made your handsome feline happy by spending so much time at home.

Hope you're feeling fine again soon!
