Big Brother 10: 9/14 Show

jackie's tv blog, Big Brother, BB10

The show is on a delay here. I won't be live-blogging it per se when it starts as tonight's show isn't a normal episode. It will be clips, previously unseen bits, and such. However, I'm opening this show post for folks to discuss the happenings in comments. I may have a comment or two of my own ... once the show starts, that is.

Finally, at 8:44, we're ready to start the show.

I like the change in how they're introducing the clips with Memphis and Dan reminiscing.

  1. Great ending to the San Diego-Bronco game...but BB delayed SSOOO SAD

  2. Hi Jackie, the show is late over here. Does that mean it is late everywhere or just our area?

On an interview with Jerry, I noticed commenters who think Jerry played a "good" game, ughhh (he was carried b/c he was considered useless but ok); he better not get the $. Luckily, we're all voting for Renny and/or Keesha for the $. It's amazing how Jerry still really dislikes Dan when Dan never said anything particularly disparaging or disrestpectful about Jerry and considering Jerry called Dan Judas and told him to burn in hell (something Jerry didn't even apologize for), Jerry is a pig.

  3. Delee, not such a good ending for the Jets.

  4. Jackie,
I responded to you on the previous post.

  5. Well, at 7:46 CST everything is being preempted by non-stop coverage of the destruction Ike left on the area. Sigh

    ReplyDelete
  6. OOO BB is delayed! I got caught up watching The School of Rock - what a cute movie! Let the good times roll!!

    ReplyDelete
  7. Is there a party tonight? I missed the last bash since we had evacuated.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Doesn't the conversation between Dan and Memphis seem rather scripted?

    ReplyDelete
  9. I wonder if the producers told Dan and Memphis to sit and remember like that...just so that they could edit as such.

    ReplyDelete
  10. The feeds were blocked for their feast. I'm sure, while not totally scripted, they were um ... prompted to reminisce.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I think they probably did set up the memory session. That would explain why the live feeds were blocked during their celebration dinner.

Memphis' reaction to Jerry's "womanizer" comment makes more sense after I read that his Father was married five times and wasn't around much for his kids.

  12. guess its down to the lesser of two evils...I thought Dan was cool...but he completely sold out...I hope Keesha wins the pity money...because they so did her bogus

    ReplyDelete
  13. delee, whether that was a great ending to that Charger-Bronco game really depends on what color your shirt was. Orange shirts-great ending, light blue shirts-another heart breaker. But there's always next week!

I think BB will be on time here on the west coast. News is on as usual at 6, so I imagine the rest of the line up will remain on schedule.

  14. "I know Im going home!!!"

    ReplyDelete
  15. The split screen of Renny and the sock puppet--too funny!

    ReplyDelete
  16. I'm very glad Jessie left as soon as he did! What an annoying, condescending guy. Brian, on the other hand, probably would have been fun to have around longer.

    ReplyDelete
  17. The only new scenes so far seem to be Dan and Memphis's conversation. The rest is all recaps.

    ReplyDelete
  18. wow the niners won their game
    I'm in shock

    mamawolf

    ReplyDelete
  19. Sally, I'm with you! I wish Brian could have stuck around a little longer! I can't wait for these people to see themselves on TV. The "Boom Boom Room"...ROFLLMAO!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  20. I really like how they are doing this episode. It's kind of like Survivor when they are to the final two and burn the flags or whatever. OMG...Renny's impressions are "beast" as my sone would say!

    ReplyDelete
  21. April states:

'Uh, there is like a million of me in the state you will be going to!'

Oh yea, there are a million chicks that think they are hot, but are so stuck on themselves that most guys would want to swallow a bullet instead of dealing with them!

I am from Arizona and know many chicks like this one! OLLIE....TRADE UP DUDE!!!! This chick is a waste of skin! However, if he is looking for a disposeable quickie...think about the jury house...hmmmm...GOOD ON HIM!

    Bryan in AZ!

    ReplyDelete
  22. "Anybody want cake?" -- That was miserable for them, but a great show for us!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Those impressions were a hoot!

    ReplyDelete
  24. Mary-Ann or Ginger?

    Anyone...April or Keesha?

    Yummy!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Worst birthday in BB history is right. Poor Keesha.

Happy Birthday in about 2 1/2 hours, Jackie!

    ReplyDelete
  26. I'm so sad...even though I've been lurking all season, I will miss seeing all of the names that have become a constant for me! I can't imagine having to wait an entire year for Jackie et al. Where is everyone tonight?

    ReplyDelete
  27. Watching this episode...how can you NOT vote for Dan? He was the comedic relief for the entire season! I truly believe that his "master plan" was to be the big brother, little brother, cousin, uncle, next door neighbor...anything that endeared him to his fellow cast members. he's not Dr. Will, but I think he cam awfully close!!!

    ReplyDelete
  28. I'm enjoying this show more than I thought I would. Rennie's impersonations and Dan's talk show both had me laughing out loud.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Good old Ollie. A lot of talk and very little action. Except in April's bed, of course.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Bummer I an here in NYC and my recorder is back in North Carolina...guess I will get only 15 minutes,,My friend does not have a TV,,*sigh* :(

    ReplyDelete
  31. Patti - Come by for The Amazing Race and Survivor.

  32. itchy, check it out on CBS.com tmorrow.

  33. Definition:

    LIBRA:

    Typical Ignorant Angry Black Woman!

I love how her head moves like a pigeon when she gets made?

    Uhno ous dinnt!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Whoa, whoa, whoa! Mr. TV Announcer guy just said that the finale was live at 8 on Tuesday.

Isn't the finale live at 9 on Tuesday???

    ReplyDelete
  35. Since when is Libra ignorant? Annoying, controlling, but I never saw ignorant. Never saw her "made" either. I think you might have other issues with her, anon @ 9:40

    ReplyDelete
  36. Finally... I got home to catch the last twenty minutes. I usually hate the football delay but at least it saved me somewhat tonight. I had fun watching the Swim Club. I missed all of that for the most part on the feeds.

To all the Sunday Football fans, my condolescences on the horrible games today. I would not even dare tell you who I root for. They are the most pitiful of all.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Anon @ 9:42 - I just checked my local listings. It's scheduled for 9 PM here according to them. But I'll be on alert! I didn't catch that the announcer said 8.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I agree that Libra is anything but ignorant. Anyone that graduates from Rice University, magna cum laude or not, has an abundant supply of above average brain cells.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Laurie, I did not mean a great ending because the Broncos won. I meant that it was a nail biter till the end. Also true the season is young...

I tivo'ed BB will watch Mon am. Turned on commercials and saw bits of it...

Jackie, I would sing "Happy Birthday" to you but then we would get fish or trivia...have a memorable day!!!

    ReplyDelete
  40. But, I agree with Anon. A degree doesn't make you likable. Libra is odd. She and her mom look like they terrorize her husband.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Bummer --

    Tom
Royal got her cake but without you life sucks!

    ReplyDelete
  42. I saw no one terrorize Libra's husband. I saw a pissed-off husband defending his wife and lovingly caring for their children. Some people only see what they want to. I guess.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Obama's wife is educated...but she comes off with a similar manner as Libra....

Maybe Anon should have used the description of Uppity!

    ReplyDelete
  44. Michelle Obama is not Libra. That's insulting. Libra is on a reality show for a few bucks for herself and maybe her mom and kids. Um, that is just plain weird.

    ReplyDelete
  45. delee, I can certainly agree that it was an exciting game. We could hear plenty of yelling in our neighborhood and it wasn't all me!

I will be taping the show and watching it tomorrow too. Tonight we are watching the final episodes of John Adams. What an excellent production this is.

Jackie, happy birthday to you. *no, I wasn't singing, just saying*

    ReplyDelete
  46. I enjoyed every bit of it, even tho you could tell the boys were told where to go next and to set up the next clip.

Some of it I had seen, but some I had not and most were funny. Even the puppet show was funny again, even tho Jackie was good enough to show that to us.

Memphis says he won't campaign against Dan but Dan said he will throw Memphis under the bus if he has to. I would hope Memphis would want to win more than finding a friend. I'd do and say anything I could just to win the money. May sound callus, but if I had gotten this far, I wouldn't turn into a pansy now.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Happpy Birthay Sweet Sixteen.....lalallalallaa...well you know how it goes...
Love you jackie! Sorry AOL spamed me!

    ReplyDelete
  48. YAY...joyn says she'll probably be with us on finale' night. Alright!

I too enjoyed the boating "moron" story. I mean, makes you feel brainy even when you know you're not!

Jackie...I have your birthday written on my calendar at work, but guess what... I'm not working yet, so I would have missed it. Thanks to those who remembered, and Jackie, you have a wonderful day!

Um ... and thank you for the birthday greetings.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Anon 10:38. Why don't you take your biased opinions elsewhere?

    ReplyDelete
  52. That anon needs lots of help. Very sick.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Jackie, I'm sorry there are people like the current idiot who is spamming our wonderful place here. Out with the rest of the trash, I say!

    ReplyDelete
  54. How can anyone get any pleasure from of posting such racist and ignorant things? Thanks for getting rid of that unwelcome garbage promptly, Jackie.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Laurie - I've removed the latest. If it continues, I can ban anonymous comments. That would be a shame as many good folks use anonymous and sign their names, but it would solve the problem.

    ReplyDelete
  56. jackie, your birthday? happy happy one!!!

sydney...am glad you are ok have been thinking about you a lot...my prayers wqith you and all those affected by ike.

    ReplyDelete
  57. show starting in the West. 'bout time!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  58. One more show to go. A much more satisfying season than the last one. Hopefully the next one will be as good or better.

At least we have Survivor and Amazing Race coming up very soon to satisfy our cravings for reality TV, which will make for a comforting fall and winter.

    Have a wonderful B-Day, Jackie!

    ReplyDelete
  59. A Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is starting here. I've read the book (more than a few times), but I've never seen the movie. I have Dan and Memphis on low, low volume.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Memphis will throw Keesha under the bus even though he considers her a friend because it is a game, but he won't do that to Dan cause he is a friend. Sounds to me like Dan is still pulling all the strings and getting Memphis to do what is good for Dan.

More power to you Dan. You deserve to win

    ReplyDelete
  61. I have been a lurker for the last couple of years. However, I had to come and say thank you to Jackie for keeping this a good place to go for a fun discussion about BB without disgusting comments. Maybe now that I have posted once, it will be easier for me to try again. I will definitely be around for Survivor and TAR.
Thanks again Jackie and Happy Birthday!

    ReplyDelete
  62. I thought the reminiscing comments also seemed stage. It was great to see, though. I agree with the poster who said it seemed like Survivor. that is always one my favorite moments on Survivor each season.

I want Dan to win, but would be okay if Memphis won. This is a great final two

  70. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MISS JACKIE!!!!!!!

  71. Happy Birthday Jackie!! I hate to be a downer, but your MySpace thief is still at it. I'm also not seeing any mention of you or accreditation. For some reason they accepted me as a friend on the last BB show before the finale...they didn't see that as odd. Oh well. I hope you contacted MySpace. Or at least resolved this with the 'author'.

She is also getting praise for his/her work from their 'friends'.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Sorry, but I agree w/Anon 9:59 (and previous anon) that stated Libra was arrogant. I found her behavior and attitude inthe hosue to be absolutely arrogant. And her head does weave & bob. April, too, was arrogant. Angie, also, had an arrogant air about her at times.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Sarah - Anyone having access to that MySpace page should write the content is from here.

Petals - The commenter in question didn't say "arrogant." That commenter made blatant racist comments.

  74. Hi Jackie: Happy Birthday!!!! And thank you for the voice of reason here.
