Big Brother 10: Live Feeds Into Monday Dawn

This is about as exciting as it gets. They played cards, played beer pong, fed Ted the spider. Dan got in trouble for singing. BB kept spouting trivia at them. Really a lot of nothing.

  1. Am I first... HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Are you planning anything special Jackie?

Wish I could be there, we'd go out on the town.

In lieu of that, have a great day and keep us posted on the thief. If she/he continues to do it, and you have blocked anonymous, then we'll know it's one of your "named" buddies. Sad.

  2. I unblocked anonymous. I have a feeling it's either the racist poster I called out last night or the one stealing my content and posting it on MySpace.

As for my plans, I'm going into Little Italy (Manhattan) to meet up with a friend at the Feast of San Gennaro for lunch and general hanging out. I'll see how the knee does! The crowds at the feast shouldn't be too bad on a Monday.

  6. Good morning all. Happy Birthday Jackie! I forget, is this your 25th or 26th Bday, LOL. I refuse to believe your any older than that.

Last night's show did seem to be "scripted" or maybe a better word would be "prompted", but it was fun to see some of the happenings again. What happened to the never before seen stuff they promised us? The only thing I don't remember seeing before is Jerry rapping - and please God never let me see it again, LOL.

Have fun at the feast Jackie, I haven't been in years, but I sure remember all the great food.

  8. Happy Birthday and wow an Italian feast no less! With all your exercising your knee should be fine, or at least we all hope it is.

Just stay away from Wall Street or it may look like a hurricane hit it. Sad our country is coming down to this, my take, just because of money hungry barons.

    Again HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY

  9. I vaguely remember going to Little Italy 100 years ago. I remember we had a great time and like rbennie, I remember the food too. Those sausage hogies with fried onions and green peppers... you just can't find that kind of food around here. Emmmmmm! Of course, we were kids then and wouldn't have thought about actually going into a nice restaurant and sitting down to a "real" meal.

rbennie... I have to admit that I hadn't seen a lot of the things they showed last night, so I was really pleased with the way they put the show together, even tho it was scripted. Dan pulled it off better than Memphis. Of course, Dan is a good actor as evidenced thoughout the season. I actually laughed numerous times, even at things I had already seen. I loved Rennie's segment...she really nailed the other hg's.

Dan must have remembered that Jerry brushing his teeth in the kitchen sink is how Renny portrayed him, thus the question in the final HOH about what upset Renny more (Jessie's fight or Jerry's teeth) Dan answered Jerry and got it right! Of course I'm guessing, but I believe that's the case. He is so sharp!

  10. HAPPY 21st JACKIE!!!

I loved the format of last nights show, but I do have to wonder if BB didn't ask them to take a trip down memory lane so they could set it up.

It's funny how April, Ollie & Jessie didn't make me so sick when I saw them the first time around! ;-)

  12. Happy birthday, Jackie! Hope your day is as special as you are.

As usual, I'm watching the show a day late. Just watched the puppet show and laughed so hard. It was funnier now, knowing what happened later, especially with O and A.

The boom-boom room? LOL ... don't tell me the rest of the house didn't know what was going on in there!

Loving the imitations and and just the general laughing amongst the group was fun to see.

Okay, I won't recap the show that you all already watched. *grin*

  13. Happy B-day-
The way I dealt with the nasty posts yesterday was - ignore them.
I won't waste my time. I read the 1st line - se no name at the end and skip to the next comment. If we all ignore them maybe they will go away.

  14. Happy Bithday Jackie! Have a wonderful day!

Didn't they do something similar with Dick and Danielle last year for the recap show - I seem to remember thinking that they appeared to have been prompted to discuss the other houseguests because of the way they were talking.

  16. Just finished watching last night's show. The announcer did say the show was live at 8pm on Tuesday. We better check our local listings.

It might be a mistake on the announcer's part. tv.yahoo says NCIS at 8 and BB at 9 for San Diego. That would be the regular schedule. CBS.com says the same thing this morning.

Off to work ... Monday, Monday ...

I have been lurking this season but can't miss an opportuniy to say Happy Birthday and thank you to our best friend, Jackie!! You make it so much fun and provide a wonderful place for others to have fun! I was hiding behind the bar at the party last week--------and haven't had that much fun in years!

  20. Hi everyone!

I will actually be in Maui for the finale, so we will need another "mixologist" for the last hurrah of this season....

I am certain that I won't be live blogging with the East Coast, and will probably end up watching the show online and then reading the comments here.

The bar is fully stocked with all of your favorites and requests, so I pass off the responsibility....

Have fun, and I will raise a glass to each of you on Tuesday night!

  21. Happy Birthday Miss Jackie, the writer in the whole wide world!!

It has been a pleasure reading your wonderful updates and opinions. I love your site!

I will continue to read about Survivor when it starts but there is just something so addicting about BB, that I run to my computer every morning to read what you write before I even drink my coffee. What is it?? No other show affects me like BB.

I am a Keesha fan, but I do think that Dan, Renny, and Keesha were the best.

    Have a wonderful day! :o)

  30. Happy Birthday, Jackie. It is a shame that the Thief stole your words and is being credited with being such a wonderful writer. I hope someone keeps us posted on what happens as a result. Too bad that this person can't be blocked from even coming to this site.

  33. I do not think either have thought of the taxes they will be paying once they get their windfall.

Memphis has the car and it will be taxed like income (not a car purchase) and if he comes in second and receives $50,000, I assume he could walk away with only the car. I guess he could give up the car, he would only receive a small amount of money in the long haul.

Is my thinking correct? This has been bugging me!

  34. texas blondie, she de'friended me too. i saw your comment under mine :)

    ReplyDelete
  35. You are so right Delee, while $500,000 is a lot of money, its not really the windfall you'd think it was by the time Uncle Sam gets done with you. I've often wondered if they upped the prize to $1 million to what lengths the HGs would go to win, LOL.

  38. $500K after taxes is still nothing to sneeze at!

Or, we could just follow the Richard Hatch method and not pay taxes! :-)

    ReplyDelete
  39. Well, that's the way to go! Don't pay the taxes and move away to a place where they can't find you!

  41. delee, You are exactly right the value of the car is considered income by both state and federal "infernal" revenue agencies. Of course the stipend and whatever else is won will be taxed too. In addition to that if the car Memphis won is not already tagged and registered in CA he MAY have to pay an import tax. I know when we moved from Alabama to Louisiana we had to pay $1800 on our 2 cars because we "imported" them from Alabama. Those tax guys get you going and coming.

    ReplyDelete
  42. lynn1, You can be sure that California will get every penny possible out of the car and any winnings he will receive!!

  48. Happy Birthday Jackie, I hope that it is all that you hope for...you deserve it.
I wish I could have seen last night's show, but Ohio had hurricane strength winds and my parents lost electricity for about 10 hours. This was thanks to Ike. I just got home a little while ago and was kind of surprised that I never lost electricity.
I will be watching tomorrow night though. I am still hoping that Dan wins because I think that he played a better game.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Hope you had a wonderful outing today and all of your Birthday wishes come true.

My cable company is still saying 9:00 ET and the poll for AC says tune in live at 9:00 ET. I'm setting the DVR for NCIS as well just in case. I won't be able to join in the "live party" tomorrow night... so have fun everyone and I'll take the leftovers when I get home and join in later. Cheers!

    GO DAN ALL THE WAY!

and... GO RENNY FOR AMERICA'S CHOICE!

    ReplyDelete
  50. Happy Birthday Jackie, the ORIGINAL BB writer...accept no substitutions (especially internet thieves...grrrrr)!! I hope you have a wonderful dinner out in Little Italy. For all that you do for others you deserve a very fun night out!

BB on my Maryland CBS station is advertising 9 p.m. as usual, but I will be ready at 8!

I split my votes between Renny and Keesha. Renny I just plain and simple liked, and I felt Keesha got the raw end of that deal.

I CRACKED UP watching all of Dan's practical jokes on Keesha...especially when he dumped water on her in the shower. I wouldn't mind being beaten in the game by a guy like him, who is so likeable at the end of the day. I konw there are those who say he sold out, but he'd get my vote in a heartbeat.

I don't think they will reveal he was AP until after the votes are done, since that would influence the game.

    Witt :)

Not much going on with BB until tomorrow!!

  55. Ork - I thought the same thing as you - about the boys being "prompted" to go down memory lane. Sorta like on Survivor when then last 3 do the torch thing with all the cast-offs. The obligatory "remember the time" thing.
