The Amazing Race 19 Blog Party - 11/27/2011

Due to football, 60 Minutes didn't start until 7:55 PM ET here in the NYC viewing area. So I'm assuming that The Amazing Race should start about 55 minutes late. Once it starts, I'll update this post with the major happenings. But the real fun is in the comments; please pipe in with your thoughts! See you there!

Finally we're starting ..

Last week we only knew Amani and Marcus had arrived first at the Pit Stop and were immediately onto the next leg. They're off to the Ford Proving Ground also in Belgium.

Ernie and Cindy were team two. Jeremy and Sandy third. Four, Andy and Tommy. Bill and Cathi are last, but still in the race!

Roadblock - Who wants to play with the ponies? It's a Mustang testing course.

Off to Gent, Belgium next.

Detour - Water or Waffle.

Next they're off to race homing pigeons! They have to go to the destination of their birds where they're getting a clue to the location of the next Pit Stop.

Pit Stop
1. Andy and Tommy - Each wins a customized Ford Mustang
2. Jeremy and Sandy
3. Ernie and Cindy
4. Amani and Marcus
5. Bill and Cathi -- Philiminated.

Sigh. I really really liked them!

  2. In the theme song, there's a voice that says something twice. It sounds like "copay". Does anyone know what the word(s) actually is(are)?

  3. I've never really listened to it! Got to go back and listen.

  4. Hey, everyone! Hope you had a good Thanksgiving and that you didn't eat too much.

  5. Hey all!

So stupid to start a football game at 4pm. We all know it will be at least 3 hours then they have to show 60 Minutes.

  6. Am I the only one who felt duped by last week's Survivor? I did miss being here at Jackie's with all of you.

  10. Hi Becky,

I didn't feel duped by Survivor since they do it every year at least once, usually on a holiday.

  11. Hope everyone's Thanksgiving was great. I was out of town, but had a very good holiday.

I read somewhere that Survivor was a recap; and I thank Jackie for texting me to let me know it was. I have no Internet when I visit my MIL. LOL

I WOULD LOVE to get in to a Mustang and race. The faster, the better!!! Woohooooooo!

  14. Back when Survivor was Thursdays, the Thanksgiving one was always clips. So I wasn't surprised that the holiday eve one was clips.

  15. I had just forgotten about the recaps being shown. My daughter and her husband let me use the TV. However we ate during part of it. Then I went back and finished wathching it.

Joe, how is the weather in NY?

  21. In fact how is the weather where each of you live? Penny, Silk.

It is 60 here, which some of you consider shirt sleeve weather, but for us is too, too cool. The front isn't supposed to last long.

  22. 57 here and dark! Slight rain off and on.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Right now it's 57 here, central NJ.

  25. It's slight rain outside and 47. A little cold.

Becky, you said silk to me; silk what? LOL

  26. I just love Belguim. One of the prettiest and most modern cities I've ever been to. Some people do not like it because they say it's gone too modern. I loved walking the old streets; and the pastery shops are fantastic! Of course!!!

  27. Oh, I see what you were talking about now. Duh????? LOL I googled it and most answers were that they didn't know. I think it's more of a native song.

  28. Becky,

Weather has been fantastic up in Rochester. Near 60 over the weekend. Turning colder next week but one of the nicest Novembers I can ever remember!

  29. Penny - silk is soft, warm, cool, smooth, and sometimes smells bad.

  30. I am so clueless what some are talking about. Sorry, Becky. I just realized you were asking Silk and me what our weather was like where we live. Wake up, Penny!

  31. ~~Silk asked abouth the words in the theme song. I suggested she go to you tube and search there.

  32. @ Silk. LMAO! It never registered to me, at the time, she was talking about you. I had to think a minute what she meant. By the time I sent the response.

  33. HOLY COW - these boys are the luckiest guys around. WOW. They got customized Mustangs! Geesh!

    ReplyDelete
  34. I think the boys have won enough. I do not want them to take home the money too.

Like everyone else I like them, but I want to see the joy spre4ad around.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I am very sad. I didn't want Bill and Cathi to leave. So, so sad.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I hate to see Bill and Kathi go home.

I really liked them. In fact, I don't know of any really unlikeable teams this year.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I do not care if the boys win the game. They are good and that doesn't bother me. I am sad that Bill and Cathi didn't continue on. There are other teams I think should have left first. :-(
