Tonight I'm watching the Tony Awards and taping The Sopranos to watch with the hubby. Monday night I'm watching the long, long, long awaited start of the second season of Big Love. Tuesday I'm watching Kathy Griffin's My Life on the D-List.

Whats everybody else watching these days?

Hey Jackie! How are you faring the NYC temps? Heard it's been in the 90's the last day or two.

Thanks for pointing out that Denis will be on Letterman tomorrow night, as I wouldn't have thought to look for it. It's a little nostalgic for me, as when I left NY I also left all my long time clients and projects behind, and he (and RM) are among them. Many fond memories of going together to Letterman over the years. Makes me realize how vastly my life has changed in one short year. But, I'm totally looking forward to tuning in to Rescue Me this week, and being on the other side of the TV for awhile.

uh, HELLO? Did anyone watch the Soprano's finale? WTF did I miss by that ending?

Talk about anticlimactic.

Sydney,
I know I thought my cable went out. Just as Meadow was walking in the door, fade to gray. No music as credits were shown either. Really an opening for more shows or a movie when you think about. OR did the guy who was at the counter come back and blow them away, plus what about the 2 youths that walked in before Meadow? No real finish. OR make your own ending!!!

Aaaagggghhhh!!

I HATE series finales!! Sydney, you nailed it! WTF????

Delee, I also thought my cable went out, and was just ticked off for about 15 seconds, and then I realized...

I don't believe we have seen the end of this yet... Too many doors left wide, wide open.

I am still shaking my head.

Found this on a forum site, makes sense....

As Meadow is walking toward the ice cream shop, we get clipped. We see black for 5 seconds. Now we all know what it's like to die.

SOPRANOS SPOLIER ALERT -- Delee - Thank god you are online. I am crawling out of my chair here!!! I thought ALL the exact same things you did, but didn't you feel totally GYPPED????? & years of loyal watching and DVD buying and THAT is the big finale?

I think dla said she was going to watch too. HELP!

15 minutes from the ending I thought, we are still in slice of life mode here -- little meaningless snippets that make you think they are all going to add up to some kind of meaning... then my heart started to pound about 10 minutes from the ending... I was thinking, they are not at all close to wrapping this up... 5 minutes to go, then 3 mintues to go. Yes, they lead us to beliebe the whole fam is gathering for a routine dinner. Is there meaning to the song you ask yourself. meadow has trouble parking, leading us to believe she will jsut miss getting whacked with her whole family... then of course, she walks in. Then black.

I think it's both a coup and an outrageous insult to play the prank on all of us that our TV's went out by cutting to balck and having dead air for an entire minute. And yes, this leaves it open for spin offs or a movie, but I am actually MAD about this quality show only offering that much and nothing better. ARRRRRRRGH

You seem far less upset delee (lol)

Ok, in the time I was writing my post, obviously dla and delee wrote more. Thanks Delee, that forum note at least gives me a way to feel a little less PO'd. What forum was that from? I have been googling and Ask.coming to no avail for reactions/explanations.

I expected something, just not that. When Tony and Paulie were sitting outside the deli, I thought this is it. You know gangster-style drive by. But no. I did not see the whole show from start to finish turned to it on commercials (taped it). Saw last few minutes in-total.

But I agree, we have been fooled by HBO. I was waiting for something- bomb-gunfire-poisoned food anything but fade to nada! Will be interesting to see what will be said by the media tomorrow.

Sydney - Today was a bit cool - about 72, but humid. It hasn't been too horrible here at all. But I still contend I'm more of a spring or autumn person.

I think I might be happy to not have HBO.

Was TV.com, just searched Sopranos till I found a forum. Read that and rushed back here!!!

Jackie you would like Big Love (HBO), all those wives and kids and trying to keep it private.

Thanks Delee -- Oddly, I found that TV.com forum after I read you found one!!! Coincidence.

Hi all!

Another interesting Sopranos piece.... If nothing else, it sure was controversial. Just read the disparity in comments!

dla, thank you for the testpattern link. That seems to sum up last night's show very well. I believe Chase meant for us to form our own ending, whether it frustrates us or not. Now if they do make a movie THEN we will know how that episode ended!!!!
