'Big Brother 8' - Live Feeds Overnight Into 7/14, Video, and Stuff!

"Good morning, houseguests. Stop singing, please."

My latest TV Squad article can be found right here. Eventually I'll put a link in my sidebar which will get you there easily. Of course, I already have the main site listed on the sidebar... I have for many months now.

This is video I took shortly after the feeds returned post nominations last night. Dick, Joe, and Jameka react to the nominations and Jameka gets a hairdryer. No, the incidents aren't really connected. BB apparently gave all of the houseguests items they had requested. Be warned - language is a bit rough. We're talking BB houseguests here, y'know.

In other late night dealings from that Big Brother House of Ne'er-do-wells:
  • Daniele admitted to Nick that she's only 20 years old. They pinky-sweared that he wouldn't tell anyone.
  • Dick gave shout-outs to his son, Vincent. It's his birthday.
  • Jen claimed she nominated Dick and Daniele because "their vibe is bringing the house down." (I say she wants to get rid of Daniele because she's jealous... or, just as Dick says in the video above -- she wants to be the "hott girl" in the house. Alas, I think of the two, Daniele would have the votes to stay. I like Daniele, but I like watching Dick more. He's more interesting on the feeds.)
  • Nick said he's kissed guys before. (Slowly emerging from that closet, eh?)
  • Jen said Jameka's key was pulled first because she planned on using most of the money won to help others.
  • Dick vows a week of revenge against Jen. He also said he'll give Joe the rest of his cigarettes if he leaves. He also flipped off Jen during the Nominations Ceremony. Jen is very upset about that. We'll probably see a blurred hand on the show.
  • Nick said if he got POV, he wouldn't use it to save either Daniele or Dick. He told Dick his vote would have to be to save Daniele. Dick understands.
  • Joe tried to defend Dick to Jen mentioning his constant cooking and cleaning for the house. She said it didn't matter. He was negative and bad vibes.
  • The HG were told there would be a 7 AM wake-up call on Saturday. No one knows why. They're speculating luxury comp. They still think POV will be held on Sunday.
  • Zach thinks "a ton of hot chicks" will want him after the show. @@ (Who wants a flying monkey boy?)
  • Amber is torn over how she'll vote. She said her heart is with Daniele, but her head says Dick because she honestly likes him. She thinks he likes and cares about her.
  • Zach and Mike want Daniele gone. They'd rather have Dick on the jury because they think he'll be more fair.
  • Nick told Daniele about the Mrs. Robinson alliance. He thinks Kail, Mike or Zach need to be put on the block next week to break up the alliance. He was very truthful in telling her all about it. (Heh, so much for that alliance, eh?)
  • In Kail scheming, she wants to make a deal with Dick and is calling him Mr. Robertson as a code name. Wha...?
  • Mike eavesdropped as Eric and Jessica were talking about how nasty Zach is and a bit of strategy. Mike is sneaking around spying on a lot of the others. Uh-oh! But he's noticed, too. That won't bode so well.
  • As I write this, all are sleeping. But the expected 7 AM wake-up call didn't keep most from staying up half the night.

Not at all surprised Nick has kissed boys-- my Gaydar or Bi-dar was working.

I'm bummed about a Dick/Daniele nomination-- one of them leaving will make the house even boringer. (I'm using bad grammer 'cuz it seems to be in tradition of this season).

I figured out why Jen thinks all her photos are bad. She knows that if she complains about them, the other HG's will gush over them and tell her how good they are. She's fishing for compliments!! If she has to do that, it's obvious she has low self esteem and doesn't think of herself as beautiful. Which cements the ChillTown connection in my mind because Boogie wouldn't hang with an intelligent confident woman!

Funny Albglinka -- I think I ususally have great gaydar and I wasn't getting it so much from Nick -- My Bi-dar wasn't even on... maybe that's it then. Would like to hear what you caught that made you think that.

But I find it very interesting that he'd actually say he's kissed a guy. I don't know if that kind of thing is more accepted by straight guys these days of his generation or if he will reveal he's being a big jokester, but I don't know how it could possibly serve him with Zach and Nick. I do know it could make the girls feel in a way that might work to his advantage in the game as well as with a showmance. And pursues every one of them (but Kail) in the house. Hmmm

I think Nick is adorable looking, but not so sure about his personality yet. If Dick or Daniele leaves the show will so lose its impact. I cant imagine Jen having an alliances...does she? So she puts up two people, divides the house and then she chooses who leaves?

Anonymous said...

Hard part is if either Dick or Daniele get POV who will the dingbat put up? Mentions of Joe, but if she has smarts she knows he will go. So I think she would put someone else up and hope one of the D's goes. But is she that bright. At least not boring this week!!! Plus what is she thinking wants a HAPPY house....oh please...what game is she playing?

Just a few observations about Nick that would lead me to think he could be gay.....in his pre-show interview he said his dad thought he was gay until a few years ago, when talking to Amber about having a showmance and the kissing thing with Jen he said "Yeah, which girl will I hook up with....or guy". If he's coming out of the closet I don't think his family will be pleased to hear about on National TV. If Jen will need to put someone else up and she really wants Dick or Daniele gone than a few choices might be Jameka or Dustin. Most of the HGs like both and would vote to keep them. IMO BB8 really blew it in casting this group of hamsters---they could lose a lot of viewers if things don't start getting interesting in the house. Jackie you must be like Dick and not require much sleep because you post update late at night and early in the morning.....oh to be young!

Or Vicey-Versus! No intelligent, confident woman would hang with the Booger. But I would hang with Dr. Delicious (sigh). He could bring his Internet-lovin’, trampoline magic to my house anyday! ; )

BTW, Vicey-Versus was my shout-out to the illiterate hamsters - just following Albglinka's lead : )

I am starting to like Jameka. She feels so badly that a father and daughter were both put on the block. I agree with her as it would be sad to see a father and daughter campaign against each other. But I think Dick would not do that, actually. I could be wrong but he shows no signs of doing that.

The father and daughter might actually reconcile over this is what I am hoping. I have a soft spot, as I said yesterday, for fathers and daughters. I was close to my Dad and he died a few years ago. I want to put Dani and Dick in a room and lock it, until they work this out. I want to tell yell at them both, " Life is too short, do not waste time". Having said that, they are two of my favorites. I rather like Nick and I hope he is more loyal to Dani and others than that awful Mrs. R alliance.
I am disliking that Mrs. Robinson alliance more and more when I see feeds or read transcripts of feeds. Zack especially is quite smug and the two of them talking about getting all these hot girls when they leave the house.,..Good Grief!

And Jen just wants a happy house, I think, she just wants it to be one big party and she is not playing strategically.

Another odd thing and I know it is early, but few alliances are formed. I think Dustin and Amber are a duo alliance and same with Eric and Jameka but with Eric being America's player, who knows if he will be able to be in an alliance.

I was just reading Jackie's blog on TV Squad and someone wrote in that they saw Jen and Dusting making out(hot and groping) on the live feeds. Anyone else see it?

Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That seems very odd. I wonder if it was Mike and Jen as they are in the HOH together a lot alone. Dustin? I had not heard that or read that on the feeds transcript and I was up very late reading all the transcripts. If that is true, that would blew some minds

Amber is on another long crying jag. She is asking the DR for her anxiety medication.
Amber cries a lot but I think now there could be more going on. She obviously has medication for her disorder.
The girl is acting very unstable.

Just my 2 cents but I don't really think Jen's "happy house" excuse is anything but that...an excuse. She didn't like Dick the minute she saw him "don't touch me" and she doesn't like Dani because of Nick and because Dani is competition for "hot girl". When will this show stop being high school??!! LOL well, maybe when I stop watching it anyway? @@ at myself.

Seems to me Jen is NOT about "happy" anyway. The girl is about herself (to the Jenth degree, I might add). "Happy" is her euphemism for "all about me and then I'M HAPPY."

I so hope somehow both Dick and Dani stay and if I have to choose, I vote for Dick to stay.

Anyway, as many have said...this week IS more interesting at least.

Wow, lots of Jen hostility in the world. I fail to see why people in the house treat Jen like she is utterly undeserving of common courtesy.

As far as dumbness I feel like the whole crew this season has been beaten with the dull and stupid stick. I have watched every season of BB and these guys are pathetic. The women with their constant petty anti Jen comments and the men with their constant vulgar anti Jen comments, Jeez get some new material people!

What kills me tho is the raging double standards. Everybody says Jen is dumb yet she was smart enough to win on the teacup question. Yet rather than give her a moments credit everybody cries "trick question", "producer fix"! Wow, can you say "Sore Losers" boys and girls? And she is smart enough to nominate two people who are in an alliance. ED and Dani have repeatedly spoken about covering each other's back and now one of them will go home, how is that dumb? If anybody else speaks of The Six and reducing their numbers they're smart but if Jen does it she's dumb.

And as far as ED and Dani staying in the house so they can work out their issues, screw that let them work it out on their own time. That's like saying two people shouldn't be nominated cuz they're in love and want to spend time together (which has happened in several seasons). BB is not a dating service, it is not a counseling service. It is a contest of strategy to win $500k and Jen is trying to take out one of two strong and well aligned players, so explain to me again how this makes her dumb?

Brent McKee said...

I think Sasha is absolutely right - Jen's version of a "happy house" is a house where anything that makes her unhappy is banished. Presumably her perfect house is one where she is surrounded by hot, young males, all of whom adore her (because of course other women would be jealous of her). I think we can defer putting Joe up next week if it means being rid of Jen.

Here's a question? If "America's Player" gets picked for the Veto competition, will he even try to win it. It seems to me that since it's in his best interest to stay in the house as long as possible - more opportunities to complete tasks - he doesn't want to get on anyone's bad side so his best strategy is to avoid having "power" in the house as long as possible. if he wins the Veto power the fans will probably make him use it most weeks to "save" their favourites which is bound to earn him the emnity of someone in the house. So, his best strategy is to not even try to win the veto unless he himself is on the block. Or am I overanalyzing?

Anonymous said...

ihopejenwinshoh! - First of all, if Jen were actually strategizing I would give her some credit.

When she won HOH she stood there with a look of awe on her face. Even she couldn't believe she won!

The reason she put Dick & Dani up is because she doesn't like them. It has nothing to do with strategy. She didn't like Dick from day 1 and Dani is competition for the attention of the guys in the house.

If she were truly trying to take out "out one of two strong and well aligned players" she would have gone after Kail and her boys. An alliance of 4 is much stronger than an alliance of 2. Additionally, there are other two person alliances in the house ...how about Dustin and Amber? If she's looking to get the negative people out of the house, why not Joe & Dustin? They fight more than anyone!

Jen's decision was completely personal and had NOTHING to do with strategy. She wants a happy house and the only way she can get that is to get rid of Daniele so she can have the guys or get rid of "the creepy old guy" who picks on her. Now...can you tell me how that works as a strategy?

From transcript of the feeds, it looks like Dani won the POV and Dick won a Plasma TV. It will be interesting to see who Jen puts up on the block and if Dick stays. I hope she puts Amber on the block as Amber is looking considerably more emotional and more and more crying.

Anonymous said...

Good job Dani!!! That is.. ohhh how do you say it..."Jenntastic". What will she do now? I can't wait to see what happens next. Hopefully she won't put up Jameka or Dustin against ED. I want him to stay so bad. He makes for good tv.

I believe in the feeds I read that Amber takes anxiety medication. Maybe this game is to much for her.

Does anyone know who voted to save Carol?

orkmommy:

Ya mean the same look every house guest has when they win?

So its OK for viewers to want specific HGs out because they dislike them. Its OK for Dick and company to want Jen out because they dislike her. But its not OK if Jen wants someone out if she dislikes them? Got it.

Regardless, it is good strategy to reduce any and all alliances that don't help one's survival. And ED and Dani fit that bill to a "T". ED and Dani are aligned with each other and actively work against Jen. They have turned the whole house against her and slam her at every opportunity. Therefore it is indisputably good strategy for Jen to get rid of one of them. You writing it off as pure emotion on her part in no way diminishes the reality that she is trying to break up the two people in the house who, based on their own pure emotion, are trying to prevent her from staying in the game harder than anyone else. Her going after a soft target this week like Jameka or Kail or Joe would have been ludicrous.

As far as other alliances in the house? That will always be the case, but you can only nom two people a week so by default some alliances have to remain untouched.

But the whole scary Kail and her boys alliance, what are you kidding me? You mean the alliance where at least two of its four members are working against it? Zach and Nike are betraying their one week old alliance as we speak, why should Jen waste her time there?

Jen will no doubt leave the house fairly soon because only someone as competive as a Janelle could win POV enough weeks in a row to keep herself safe with the whole house against her. And no doubt all will cheer and crow. But for this week the power is with Jen whose greatest sins seem to have been her too small bikinis and her inabilty to defend herself when the lynch mob circles and attacks. Its true, she comes across as a deer caught in headlights whenever people verbally attack her. She is an easy target and yet everyone cheers each subsequent attack. Sad.

So in the weeks to come your hero Dick, a man who seems to have true contempt for all women, and fantasizes out loud about assaulting them, will proceed farther in the game than Jen. Enjoy your Boogie part 2.

Anonymous said...

I do not think Dick is anywhere near as sleazy, arrogant, or egotistical as Boogie. But that is just my 2 cents. Dick has a heart, Boogie does not is my feeling

Jen voted to save Carol

Anonymous said...

All of us need to remember that we know much more of what's going on than the hamsters. They don't necessarily hear or see what we do. So are Jen's nominations strategic or personal? Is she aware of all the alliances? Each of us will decide individually who is playing a smart game. I'd hope we can keep the tone civil during these times.

Anonymous said...

How many of you think Jen should save Dick?

I'd have trouble voting out someone who was willing to sacrifice herself for her father.

Anonymous said...

Yeah, Dani!!!!! Can't wait to see who Jen puts up now.
If Amber is really coming unraveled maybe it would be her best interest to get her out. If she had to ask the producers for her medication are HGs not allowed to bring those into the house?? If so, why would they choose anyone to be a contestant would takes any medication regularly? Well, the show may be boring but this blog site sure is heating up!!!! You go orkmommy!!!!

Sasha -- your first comments cracked me up, agree with your second. And May, I totally agree about the difference between Dick and Buttgie, even if ED has his issues.

Ihopejen... You're making some interesting points, but I'm not sure they address the things that made people have this opinion of her in the first place. Like her falling apart about her pic on the wall, then continuing to SOB in the DR for quite awhile after, THEN disliking her HOH pics too. What of her not being able to answer Julie's question, which I'm not sure has happened in the history of the game? Or making up that Nick kissed her, followed by the odd interaction with him in the pantry after he chewed her out. I think folks could have compassion for her self esteem issues (haven't we all had them at some point?) but she hasn't shown much way for them to.

Wearing a sleepshirt with her tan body in a tiny red bikini spray painted on it front and back... and when she DOES get dressed, displaying her name on almost anything she wears... I wonder if you can't agree just a tad that it IS a little much? Maybe not, but seems a lot of folks do.

What's great is that we all get to have and express differing opinions. Maybe you know Jen personally since you seem invested in the topic. I'm sure she'd be happy to have a supporter... or maybe you're just Dr. Will!

(Don't worry, he won't bite....harrrrd!) I want trampoline time too!

Anonymous said...

I never said it wasn't okay to nominate based on personal feelings, but don't call it strategy.

Jen made her own bed with the HG's and America when she flipped out over her photo. She showed us what a vain, self-centered bimbo she really is. She doesn't know what to do when people attack her because she has no defense. When she told the other HG's about Nick trying to kiss her, she knew she was lying. She got caught and couldn't defend herself. It's as simple as that! I don't believe she's a strong player and to compare her to Janelle is just insane!

Anonymous said...

I agree with you 100% Orkmommy. Couldn't have said it better myself. You discribed Jenn in a nutshell and she wishes she could be 1/2 the player Jannelle was.

Be nice everyone, this is the comment section for opionins. Debate is ok but why personally attack?

Anonymous said...

Well I will take vain, vacuous, Jen over vain, vicious, Dick any day of the week. And I did not compare Janelle and Jen as being in anyway similiar. I said it would take someone as competitive as a Janelle to win POV every week. Jen will not be able to do that and will be going home fairly soon.

But do me a favor and don't be so quick to sing Dick's praises until you listen to the hardcore violent obcentities that come out of his mouth on the feeds. It seems no one wants to hold Dick accountable for his actions, but are willing to crucify Jen for hers. The double standard being applied here is breathtaking.

Jen winning HOH was pure dumb luck and why would ihopejenwins hoh think there could possibly any reason other than rivalry for her noms? Orkmommy, Sidney and others who are trying to talk common sense to this person, I think you're probably wasting your breath. ihopejen apparently cannot "see" that his (or her) opinions are obviously in the minority.and doesn't want to see what is obvious to the majority. Jen is a dumb, narcisstic bimbo who wouldn't know strategy if it bit her on her overexposed a**!!!!!!
