'Big Brother 8' - Live Feeds -Late Night/Overnight into 8/01

Jackie's TV Blog, BB8, Big Brother 8

And Amber cried. Thank you, Zoetawny!

It's nearly 6 AM in the house as I get this posted and the Late Night Crew is still up. Separated a bit, but up. Jameka, Jessica, and Eric are in one room while Daniele and Dick are in the backyard.

Here are the more interesting events from that Big Brother House Flip-Flopping Focus:
  • Daniele and Dick were talking about backdooring Eric would be the only way to get him out because he'd freak out. Dick said he wants Eric in the game longer, though.
  • Dick and Daniele were in the backyard when Nick joined them. Nick snapped at Daniele for always interrupting when he tries to talk and walked away.
  • Zach asked Nick if it was okay if he worked to save him in the house. Nick said he could go for it.
  • Zach thought he could work on Jessica as Jessica really doesn't like Kail. Zach also seemed to have some ulterior motives in getting closer to Jessica. (Can you imagine that?)
  • Jessica was pleasant enough to him, but didn't commit her vote.
  • Nick and Daniele fought. She thinks he doesn't care about her feelings; he says he just wants to enjoy his last few days in the house.
  • Nick thinks he's in the position he is because he's so personable and everyone approached him to be in an alliance, now it's backfired.
  • Nick asked Jameka if she was one who wanted him on the block. Dick said it was a group decision for strategic reasons.
  • Dick told Nick that he can't trust Dustin if the vote's a tie.
  • Dick is waffling again -- he told Nick he wants Kail gone this week and has mentioned it to the others, too.
  • Jen thinks she has a gap between her two front teeth. So she enlisted Kail's help in tying them together with dental floss. @@!
  • Eric and Dick mocked Dustin's CD. (Miko)
  • Jessica believes everyone in the LNC will vote Nick out this week.
  • Here's an odd tidbit -- Jameka had bones removed from her feet to change her shoe size from a 9 to a 6 1/2. That's just weird!
  • Eric talked to Jessica about Dick -- he feels his temper is getting worse and they should seriously consider getting him out of the house.
  • Eric said he doesn't really want HOH because the goodies basket would mean so much more to others. Jessica, for example, would get news of her brother in Iraq.
  • Jessica and Eric both think that Amber will cry if she's not the one chosen to receive a phone call from home (when that time comes) Well, duh. Amber would cry at the mention of home!
  • Dick talked to Daniele. He thinks something isn't quite right with Eric and he can't be trusted. He thinks the producers talk to him in the Diary Room and give him information. "Something is up," he says. Watch out, America's Player! Dick has an inkling!
  • Eric is adamant that Nick will be going home this week. America's Player? I'd find that surprising. He may be just trying to cover for an odd Kail Go Home vote this week. I think America would go for Kail leaving more than a Nick leaving vote. Eric's already mentioned that he thinks someone is going to vote against the crowd until the numbers are down.
There ya go. They're STILL up, so we can expect a lot of sleeping today.

It's about time Eric starts talking some game with someone other than Dick. I don't want to see him just play beer games and be goofy with Jessica night after night, or simply ocus on accomplishing his AP tasks with no real talk to save his arse. It's TIME Eric!

If Nick keeps up being such a beotch to Daniele, he'll make her appreciate her nice, devoted boyfriend at home. At that age, I had that and went for the big rock star anyway. Took me 26 years to find a truly nice guy again.

How did Dick figure out that producers are talking to Eric. Has anyone watching feeds or reading Jokers religiously caught any hints?

Hmm, it just might be time for Dick to go. He is catching on to Eric and Eric thinks Dick should go because of his temper. I don't know, he does make the game interesting and there are others, like Amber that are just plain anoying. Thanks for the updates, Jackie. I tape the Shotoo hours but don't want to waste my time watching them unless something interesting happened.

Isn't it interesting that Jam must follow 'God's will' when her ball is pulled, yet she had surgery to remove bones in her feet. Did God design her with negotiable parts or did he choose a cute pair of shoes for her that only came in size 6 1/2?

I only watch ShooToo for about 30-45 min each morning while I get ready for work, and the scene with Kail and Jen tying floss around her front teeth was beyond weird.

Isn't it ironic that Nick suspects Jameka of instigating his nomination, when she was one of the few LNC pushing for a Zach eviction this week?

Human nature is fascinating (and often disturbing)...the removal of Jameka's foot bones reminds me of the little girls in China who have their feet bound to conform to the ideal, and then are crippled. I had no idea this kind of surgery was happening in America today. Although I have heard of women having ribs removed to get a smaller waist. Ugh.

But tying your teeth together with dental floss to close a gap sounds like something you'd do when you were 8 years old at summer camp. Well, it's Jen and Kail. Enough said.

Dick may be crude but he is no dummy - he knows something is not quite right with Eric and his suspicions are pretty close to the truth.

Even though CBS doesn't tell Eric anything he can certainly figure out how America feels about certain houseguests by the way they vote.

On Thursday it will be interesting to see if Dick's waffling has worked and Kail goes home or if the other houseguests finally stand up against Dick's wishes.

Had bones removed to make her shoe size smaller!!! Not only her judgement, but her choice of SURGEONS who would consent to making $$$$ of such nonsense!!! Pathetic! And, for anyone to have their feet operated on for such silliness is beyond me, and to me medical malpractice ( I am married to an Orthopedic Surgeon). You have to go thru your entire life carrying your entire weight on those feet and for sure you don't want to FOR ANY CHANCE **** them up for a smaller shoe size!!!! She is more than nuts about her religious beliefs it is for sure!

Eric will be caught somehow and better get wise, and Dick will be the one to do it. Better be the one to get the other out first!

I want Kail to go!

Dick has more than crossed the line in his assault on Jen, ice tea on thing, but the verbal stuff is vile! Full assault on Showtime, disgusting at hottub other night..........your legs are open, the flies are swarming, only one example..............and CBS let the ice tea go, he didn't cross the line supposedly, well, i e, its good tv! Ditto, disgusting to you too CBS.

Enough of Amber crying, up her meds...........please!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jessica rocks, and is riding safe, for the moment until the numbers dwiddle, heat is off her now and she is super smart to keep up the light hearted seranio, its working.

Get rid of Kail now. Please...............! and yes, it bears repeating!!!

Has Amber been in the diary room when she wasn't crying? It's really enough already!

I want to like Jameka, but even she is losing her credibility for me. I'm not into people who are all high and mighty with their religious beliefs WHEN IT IS COVENIENT to them only. For instance; her dislike of Zach and how she speaks about him, as people have mentioned, is not exactly What Jesus Would Do. (At least, not based on the last time I talked to Jesus.)

That said... (my fave BB phrase)

I also wasn't crazy about all the church organ music they used whenever she was talking last night. I actually did admire her choice of truly playing for Jen. It was an interesting moral choice and I respected that. And it sure made her look good.

I didn't like the way Jameka immediately assumed that Jen threw it so Jameka would win. She right away whispered to Jessica about how Jen did it on purpose. If I were in Jen's shoes I would have done the same thing. Either guess and take a chance or don't do anything and lose anyway. If Jemaka wanted to be mad at someone, it should have been Dustin for taking the two prizes. If he hadn't done that he would have won hands down!

I LOVE DICK....He just puts it on the table. you notice that no one has an alliance yet like last year or previous years. OMG could Amber stop crying? I think big brother is going thru alot of kleenex's lol they should take stock in this season. Also whats up with keeping all the nobody's like jessica and dusting and amber and eric and etc. I love that dick is such a dick. This season is just boring. Dick and Jen are the only ballsy ones. I am getting to like Jen anyways just cuz she is actually playing the game and not metioning that she is actually smart. Dick is just dick and I love him. He's keepin it real

Is ED the king of the flip floppers nation or does he have AD/HD???? I swear he does this every single "flipping" time!!! I just hope it IS Kail's time to walk out the door, she is just too smug and comfortable sitting in that nominee seat! To see her walk out that door with that vacant smile on her face......priceless!

I'm not surprised at the dental floss caper!! One has the IQ of 30 and the other doesn't appear to be playing with a full deck at times.Uh,Jen,I think you have to go to an orthodontist for that to work....geeze!

Sharon - Jen lost her retainer either in sequester or right after she entered the house and BB won't help her get another one. I agree that the dental floss is a weird idea, but her face/body is her bread & butter... (not to mention that she's pretty shallow anyway)

I taped last nights show and my daughters ended up watching it with me this morning. My 10 year old is even sick of Amber's crying. She was imitating her *boo hoo* and putting her hands up to her eyes. I was dying! My kids don't even watch the show that often!

I love the graphic, Zoetawny, especially her lip moving along with the shower of tears!! Fantastic.

My main gripe about the Evil side of Dick beginning to show is that he is a self appointed head of houseguests. His is into everyone's business, thoughts, opinons, actions. Whatever occurs, there he is,front and center. In the tea dumping incident, I did wonder what would have happened if he had been sitting and Jen walked behind him and dumped the ice and tea on his head. Is there any way he would have ignored it? I don't know.
In the show last night, Jess went against Daniele and Dick seemed to handle it quietly. Unless that was editing? I do wonder if he takes some meds that wear off at a certain time of day.

About Jameka's feet. It reminds me of a true story from the 1930's or 40s when baby doll high heel shoes were all the rage. Women would have their toes shortened (the story always said 'cut off', but that sounds really wild) to fit better. No word on how they aged and if it was a regret.
The contradictions in much of organized religion is interesting to hear, not just Jameka's view. I understood the reasoning she gave for using the Veto, but almost in the same scene she talked of Josh being a 'nobody'. God doesn't make 'nobodys', I have heard. Or maybe it was Emily Dickenson.
Just as was said on this board yesterday, the commenters and their various viewpoints and the tolerance for differing views is one thing that makes Jackie's the place to be. That and the great way Jackie has of taking a long diaglogue and pareing it into understandable fun sentences. Are you blushing yet, Jackie? Sue

Does anyone know if it is a live vote tomorrow night?

With Jameka using the power of veto and calling it "something she feels God wants her to do" is bologna.... She was figuring that with Zach being the least liked houseguest, that he would be backdoored and she would be happier in the house. I also think Jen answered that last question wrong on purpose, so that nobody could jump in and get it and possibly rip the lead away from Jameka. She isn't dumb, just incredibly boring and annoying.

As for Dick, I really think he is the smartest and hardest player in the house. He is constantly aware of what is going on, listening to others, getting in peoples heads and now he is picking up on Eric's vibe??? He may look and act rough around the egdes for some, but I think he is a great player. If he goes home, I really could care less who wins this season. They have really picked a boring "lot" this year... I also voted for Kail to go... Her smug little smiles and arrogance is beyond annoying...

Anonymous said...

I hope Zack wins the whole thing just cause it would be a hilarious outcome!

I don't care about any of the House Guests this season. Oh i"ll still watch and moan and groan about it with ya but why is there no one of any sort of likability in there? Everybody gets on my nerves.

I don't think Dick is all that smart...maybe observant and obnoxious....but then again I can't even muster up enough energy to care.

Anonymous said...

I agree with anon 3:18 ( gee, sounds like a bible verse - from the book of Jackie??) Sorry, I digress... I don't think Dick is that smart. He's 44 - the rest of the houseguests are in their 20's. He's got a lifetime of experiences on the others, and by comparison, he seems more intelligent.
I think Eric and Jen are the most intelligent of the BB group. I'm not a Jen fan, but to be able to keeps her composure amongst Dick's constant juvenile tirades shows a mental toughness.

And we thought that Jen was vain..who has bones in their feet removed to make them smaller..heck I wear a 9 1/2-10 and my big feet dont' bother me at all..(@@ had to do it)..
I think that they should make a deal w/nick this week to vote w/the group (or w/e) if they keep him and get rid of keil..and then next week get either Jen or Zach out and then go for Nick..
I also think that Dick needs to tone it down a bit..I think that he's rufflin too many feathers in the house and its going to come back to bite him in the butt..don't get me wrong..i love to watch him call people out on their B.S. as much as the next person..but you have to also watch your butt..know when to pick your battles and know when to let something slide..
And why didn't ne one tell me that God was a gangsta..I would have made sure that i was wearing the right colors..(i know i'm going to hell..sorry..lol)

I watched the Shoo Too feeds of the ice tea incident. What happened after was just as interesting.

People have commented that she didn't even change clothes or wash her hair... well, I noticed when she finally walked away she says clearly to herself, "I just washed my hair" She ran a brush through it, definitely looking miffed, and then went up to the HOH room and told those who were gathered there the story. It didn't smack of her ratting Dick out as much as just needing to tell someone and feel a little better. And the group reacted much as we did, all of Dick's LNC. THey were able to react like normal people becasue he wasn't there.

Eric said Dick had "crossed the line" and someone else (Jessica? Jameka?) said something about how they would not have kept it so well n if Dick had done it to them. I think it served her well that she didn't change, as someone later was telling another HG about the incident and said, as if it were proof, something like "her hair was all wet and her tee shirt and shorts had water all down the side".

Oh my god, I'm sticking up for Jen.

Anonymous said...

I would vote to evict Kail.

I hope Eric is careful what he discusses with Dick.

The longer ED stays in the house the closer he is to knocking them out, one by one. Aside from some of his behavior, ED is a strong player and should not be under estimated. Jen rubs most the wrong way, but she too is not to be reckon with if the rest want to go far in the game.

Maybe we should have Eric's next task be to convience Jen to walk by Dick and pour something over him. I think everyone in the house should be made aware of this other than ED. Hopefully there will be no assult that takes place. Just have the men stand by to hold ED from hitting Jen. Something tells me ED would be pretty pissed. On second thought, that won't be a good idea. No one needs to stoop to Dick's level and it would not be worth someone getting hurt over a little revenge...just vote him out real soon!

annonymous 4:37

That should cool him off!

I believe Dick and Eric are the two smartest people in the house and if Dick is already suspicious of Eric's actions, it won't be long before he figures out the rest. Our man Eric may be in for a bumpy ride. Jameka, Kail and Amber all seem to think GOD is personally working to keep each of them individually in the game. And each of them make it their business to tear other people in the house down every chance they get. Maybe they should all get together for a bible study session and maybe stop interpreting all those words into only what they want them to mean.

And the Wednesday Waffle is going on.. someone pass the syrup.

It would be nice to flip things upside down again and actually see Kail gone, but at the last minute they will evict Nick. I can't stand watching him, nor can I stand him and Daniele together. They fight, they whisper, maybe they'll have angry sex too before tomorrow at 5:30 BB time.

No one in the 7 has the giblets to nominate Dick and Daniele next week. Jameka is a hypocrite. If Zach was up for eviction, she would of never used the veto. I would like to see her play veto again for someone she doesn't like and see if she would take them off the block. I honestly think they put only the HG named ball in there that BB wants them to play.

Blech on Wednesday

Kail said today that she sees Final 4 as Amber, Dustin, Jameka, & Kail

Can you imagine how boring that will be? As all Amber does is cry, Dustin and Kail are both selfish and while I respect Jameka, she is not exactly exciting to watch and listen to.

Anonymous said...

joy n- I must agree that these two people are the smartest at playing the game and seem to be able to figure things out without the others figuring it out. To me, Jessica comes across as a ditzy one, however would she be someone else under her tight lip ways?

Eric will have to change up somehow to stay under Dick's radar or talk is going to start and it may spell troubles for Eric.

I don't have a favorite this season. I believe most of them would not be able to add up the zeros in the winnings!

Anonymous said...

plaidchick - My friend just made the comment to me this morning that BB is rigging the POV and putting only certain people's names in the bag. I wouldn't be surprised.

belle - Too funny about the HGs being too dumb to add the zeros in their winnings. But doesn't it make you feel super-smart in comparison? I know I can at least beat Kail's IQ of 30! :>

Anonymous said...

Jameka has already said that she will Never use thwe veto again...no matter what.
~SMH

PlaidChick said...

SMH-- Did Jameka say why she would never use it again?

may-- Kail lives in another world doesn't she?

clementine-- it's all looking a wee too much rigged-- Jameka saying if she was chosen to play the veto, she would use it, and there you go.

The strongest players still are Dick and Eric. Dick is extremely smart, but need to shut up because he is revealing too much about his game. Eric is flying under the radar.

Anonymous said...

As a huge big brother fan I feel that Eric is the strongest player for sure. He has been able to stay on good terms with everybody while still playing the game. It sucks that he *has* to vote how America votes because one of these days people in the house are going to find out and wonder why he isn't voting with the house, etc. I just hope this isn't the reason Eric gets evicted! He is BY FAR my favorite player in the house =] and him and Jessica are fun to watch on the feeds.

Anyway! Thanks for the wonderful updates Jackie, they have been so much fun the past 2 years for me while watching the show. I can't wait until Thursday's show!

I don't understand the theory (from Danielle's and Dick's perspective) behind voting Nick off and don't know why either of them ever agreed to that. It's quite clear that the people benefitting from Nick being voted out are everyone BUT Dick and Danielle. Why don't they see this and say something?

If Nick gets voted off this will be the second week in a row that both Jen and Kail went up and neither went home. Ridiculous.

Deanna said...

Of course Jameka is "now" saying she'll never use another Veto if she wins it, she is covering her butt in case she has to and it is for a less likable person. I'm curious to see if she'll have another epiphany(sic?) with the Veto comp. if it means another situation where she can have a less diserable player(zach) be backdoored. That girls whole "holier than thou" bit is wearing me thin and her obvious game play, is to pretend that God is directing her on how to play the game. If she really was that religious, she would have never signed on for BB, since it has nothing to do with honesty, but of total manipulation. At some point in this game, she will have to lie to someone to make it to the end... Does she really think that God would direct her to do that to??

Anonymous said...

I will be happy with either one gone. Tired of Danielle crying when she is around Nick just as much as I am totally sick of Ambers tears...CBS get that girl some help, please! I have never seen anyone else so close to a breakdown than her for goodness sake. Kail is another screwball & needs to go. Get Danielle a cheeseburger & force feed it to her & she will feel better. She is too young to be tied down to one guy but really shouldn't fool around on national TV.
Evil thinks he knows everything & is pretty funny to watch & I don't think he has figured out anything yet, he is just pointing his trident at everybody one time or another.
Jameka & her feet...funny, funny just as is the church music background when she talks. She is one of the reasons I don't go to church...they are filled up with evil people who think they are good.
Jen is very smart & so is Jessica by playing so under the radar. Everyone hates
Zach & I feel bad for him when everyone leaves when he comes around, but it is kinda funny, too.
Am I the only one who thinks Evil is a little too old to be dressing the way he is? He's a cartoon. Danielle is obviously embarrassed about him being her dad.
Eric is funny, playing his part well. Nobody is the wiser about him or his mission.

As always, Thanks Jackie!

Eric is smart, I agree, but ED seems to be the only one so far who is suspecting something going on with Eric and the producers in the DR. These two are the best players in the game as of yet and Eric will have to find a way to cover his tracks somehow or Dick will discover his "secret" mission and I don't think Dick wiil stop until he KNOWS.
