'Big Brother 8' - Live Feeds - Overnight Into Wed. 8/22

Jackie's TV Blog, BB8, Big Brother 8

Zoetawny had fun with Jen's eating spree, didn't she? Although there have been no more groundshaking spats in the house, Daniele and Amber returned from their trip. Amber says that Drew Carey is the best boyfriend ever! Okay, I'm just giving you a spool of lies with that last sentence. Here's the skinny on the latest from that Big Brother House of Game Show Contestants, Bingers and Whingers:
  • Just to clear up from an earlier post -- when they all (but Jen) sat down to spaghetti dinner made by Eric, Jameka was with them but she didn't eat. Neither did Zach. I missed why Zach didn't eat, but he tends to watch his calorie intake and times he eats meals. He won't eat after a certain hour. Keep in mind, this is a guy who lost nearly 70 pounds shortly before going on the show. It could have been a solidarity move with Jameka, I suppose. He's been making game moves on her as of late.
  • Eric wedged Jen's door shut so she was trapped in the bedroom, but BB yelled at him so he un-wedged it.
  • Zach trapped Dick in the storeroom in the same manner, but that was in fun.
  • Everyone is pretty much acting like Jen doesn't exist when she enters a room.
  • Zach asked Evel Dick about Eric and Jessica. Dick told him they're all on the same page -- final five.
  • Amber and Daniele returned about midnight Big Brother time (3 am here). They said they were only allowed to say they went to New York City but BB said they couldn't say why. (I just hope now that Amber's gone from the area it will stop raining today! It's been raining since she came this way.)
  • I see the sun coming out. See! A dark cloud follows Amber!
  • About the only news they seemed to pick up on outside the house was that Amber heard Michael Vick did something, but she didn't know what. (Dog-fighting arrest.)
  • The others filled Amber and Daniele in on all the excitement since they've been gone.
  • Jen claims she destroyed the cigarettes because she hates smokers and she's never even seen BB before -- they begged her to be on the show. (Now, we know there's a ChillTown connection. I'll buy that she hates smoking, but I think she's studied the game.)
  • There was a lot of bickering back and forth between Jen and Eric since they acknowledged she exists in the Amber/Daniele return.
  • Dick claims that BB said, "Thank you for being the bigger person." -- in regard to her destroying his property (cartons of cigarettes).
  • Amber told Jen that it was very rude of her to do what she did. She asked how spoiled is she? Hmmm... Amber didn't cry over the demise of the cigarettes! She was more shocked that Jen destroyed property that wasn't hers.
  • Meanwhile, it's dawning on Jameka that she's golden this week. With Jen acting out, it's certain that all will turn against her and she (Jameka) should sail through this week.
  • Jen claims that she thought everyone was ignoring her and that led to her flipping out like she did. Yesterday she blamed the slop diet for flipping out.
  • Jen told Eric and Jessica that Dick and Daniele wanted to make a deal with her, but she wouldn't do it.
  • Before a quick block of the feeds Daniele told Dick that she heard the show is doing a good job of portraying people as they are. (Of course, that could have been a handler saying something to appease her, but...!)
  • Jen is still fussing that she doesn't want to be in sequester -- she'd miss all the things happening in the house and she doesn't want to sit on a beach in Mexico. (I read that to mean, "I won't be on TV all the time.")
  • Jen said she didn't eat just to hurt Jameka and really didn't look at it that way.
  • Jen still thinks they "can't make her" go to sequester if she doesn't want to go.
  • She doesn't know why she's even in the show because she has the best life anyone can have. @@
  • Jen thinks that Amber, Jameka and herself are the most honest people in the game. (I would go for Jameka perhaps out of that bunch. The other two have both been sketchy. I'd put Zach in the honesty pool before Jen or Amber. But with Amber, she's bad at being shady.)
  • Jen told Amber that Dick said they were only going to keep Jameka until the week before she can compete for HOH again.
  • It looks like America voted to get Jen out of the house. Eric told Jameka she has his vote and doesn't seem to be working on Dick and Company to oust her.
  • In talking about Jen being a nanny, Eric said he'd rather leave his kids home alone (if he had kids).
  • Daniele told Dick to get Jen's clothes and belongings out of the HOH room. She wants no part of "this."
  • Daniele seems very pleased for a change. The trip made her a happier person ... for a bit, at least.
  • Dick told her he'd take Jen's stuff out in the morning and hide it in the backyard.
  • Dick told Daniele that they (BB) changed Jen's penalty due to their plan to evict Jameka this week when they thought Jen would be a penalty nom. Instead the show gave her an automatic penalty vote.
  • Jameka and Amber don't think they're "floating."
  • Amber thinks that Jessica and Daniele are in an alliance because Daniele told her she would have liked to go on the trip with Jessica. (Um, maybe because Jessica is more fun than Amber? Dang, if I were on the trip, Amber would be the last person I'd choose to accompany me!)
  • Amber had a long, long talk with Jameka -- she kept going on about when she wins HOH. She'd put up Eric and Jessica and, if veto used, Dick out. Or Daniele out depending on the minute she's talking.
  • Dick and Daniele had another "I'm not listening to you" whine whine tiff. Of course, Dick was the "I'm only trying to communicate with you and you shut me out" broken record.
  • Amber and Jameka are very leery of Eric. They think he's been pumping them for information -- asking if they made any deals with Daniele.
All are sleeping as I post this. I'm very surprised that Daniele and Amber seem to be actually keeping the secret of what they did on their trip. They must not have won the big bucks, eh?

And the sun is indeed out here now that Amber has left the area. Good.

Thanks Jackie....it was worth the wait thru all the Google downtime.
I love that you said Drew was the best boyfriend ever! That would be so Amber..or Wahmber as the rest call her.
Zoetawny I live for your graphics and jackies comments!!!
Well back to "real" life....this old lady needs to study for her spanish lesson test

The reason Zach didn't enjoy the spaghetti is because he had already eaten.

I'm really getting bored with these HG's. I can't even think of anything good to comment about.

I think I'll go cry now...

It is so obvious now that Jen just wanted to be on Big Brother to be on TV. She spoke about asking her agent if she can go to sequester. She is so transparent now that she only cares about being seen on TV and gaining fame and she is not interested in the game. She only wanted to stay on the house to be on TV.

While I would love to see Jameka or Amber go ( boring and all those tears and telling God that God better step up and help them )....I know Jen is a better player with a poor attitude who needs to go. But I hope Amber does not get HOH. She needs to go. I hope the others see she should be the next target once Jen goes Thursday. I hope is a double eviction week and Amber goes next and soon!!!

Anonymous said...

Ork Mommy, I agree. They are all so boring. And if Amber and Jameka continue to stay longer and longer; it is going to be even worse. Even Jess and Eric are boring me to Amberesque tears. Zack and Dick are the most entertaining and even those 2 have lost their zip and Dani just complains..they all whine.

Maybe if Jen leaves se will be on the Wheel of Fortune Show...wait maybe it will be one of the puzzles!

Being a watcher of BB since it came on, I must confess if CBS does not step it up, BB may be coming to a close.

Anonymous said...

I hope that Zach wins HOH next because it will be interesting who he puts up. I have suspicion that he would backdoor ED or Dani. That would be his best move because neither of them will take him to the F4, so he might as well get rid of one of them now and ally himself with amber and Jameka so that if Amber does win HOH she can put up E & J. If E or J wins HOH they will put him up or try to backdoor him so having and alliance with amber and Jameka could help him out if on of them wins the POV. If ED wins HOH he will probably backdoor Zach.

Jen is so annoying and stuck on herself. I find it hilarious that Amber seems to think that America loves her cause she is a mother. These two need to go. They are both annoying. Love how Amber wants to punish God. Excuse me?

Patty,I agree and if this is the best they can do for contestants, then they might as well hang it up anyway.Either way,I think Grodner should lose her job. This season has been one of uncontrolled verbal and physical abuse, the things that were let go on were worse than offenses that got people ousted before. This is NOT the BB i have watched through 7 prior seasons. This one STINKS!!!! Survivor, where are you...we need you bad!

This isn't BB anymore, it's Lord of The Flies! I have never seen a collective BB group exhibit such childish and mean spirited behavior.

ED's behavior towards Jen is sadistic and has zero connection to strategy. Plus I went back on Jokers to find out why Jen destroyed the cigs...it was because Dick started calling her stupid bitch again for no reason and she just got sick of it.

Eric has joined in with the whole mob mentality and is now purposely harassing Jen for no discernible reason other than he knows no one will stop him. Jess told Jam if Jen talks to her just hit her in the face, she also told everyone to completely ignore her.

What we seem to have in the BB house this year is a bunch of high schools girls freezing out a girl outside their clique and school yard bullies tormenting said girl for kicks.

IMO they should fire whoever was in charge of the psych evals this year. In past seasons there have certainly been friends and enemies, but outside a few isolated shouting matches most everyone acted civilized to everyone else. That appears to be beneath this group of HG's abilities.

I hope Jen goes on to great success and the rest of these losers spend the rest of their lives trying to explain their actions to every BB viewer they ever meet.

If next years crop is this pathetic I will stop watching BB altogether.

Anonymous said...

You all are right--things are pretty boring in the house today. I guess I will get caught up on the laundry and General Hospital! I'll check back later when the HG get up.

Anonymous said...

I so agree.... that this is the worst season of Big Brother ever. How irresponsible is it to show someone like Dick when he goes off the wall and verbally abuses people the way he does? And don't say it is just a game, because you have immpressionable young guys out there thinking to themselves, so this is how you get by? OK then!People can think Dick is putting on a good show for them, but he is calling names to others that should be stopped at the least. It is disgusting! The damage his name calling alone can do is enough to keep the medical profession going for a bit.

Jackie Wrote ; she'd miss all the things happening in the house and she doesn't want to sit on a beach in Mexico.
***************************
I though they moved Dustin due to Hurricane Dean, though I could be wrong, perhaps he never made it to Mexico, I liked Dustin's comment regarding Jen; " she was the best actress throughout the whole thing. That burger from Zoetawny, is making me hungry for one, Hmm ok perhaps I'll eat 3, Ahh Nana GH is going in circles ( UnLucky S/L ) Hahaha though I admit GH nightshift much better, of course overall CBS Soaps rocks and So Does (( Jackie ))))))) I'm off for a long Lunch!

Jackie...if Daniele has been smiling since getting home, maybe she did win some money. Amber can't keep a secret, so I'm sure she didn't win any.

Just getting to be on the show must have been exciting for both of them.

Glad it's Jen going home. I'm just so over her and I'm afraid she's going to have a nervous breakdown. As for her living in a mansion, since she is Vanna White's nanny, she probably does live there. Do they have a mansion? Well, maybe it's a mansion to Jen.

Anonymous said...

If you go look at Jen's website it tells all the shows she has already been on...including Wheel of Fortune. She may be self centered but let me ask how many people could be on slop and take the mental abuse that she has endured in that house. The other houseguests are like children. They all gang up on her just like kids do. Like she said it wasn't the first time she destroyed cigarettes in the house. Why didn't they tell her then that it wasn't allowed. I think CBS screwed her because they like Dick for ratings.

I have liked D&D up until this week. Dick's behavior is over the top now. Never in all the seasons of this show has a houseguest acted so horribly. I hope he is embarassed by his behavior when he gets off and watches the tapes. They say how self centered Jen is...who is the one who takes credit for everything in there? Dick because he pulled off the "biggest coup in BB history!", according to him.

I can't take one more minute of Dani's whining. She is another one I hope takes a good hard look at the tapes and thinks, "Gawd! I am annoying!"

Over Amber's crying a long time ago. Also over her claiming to never say bad things about anyone when she does it all the time.

Jessica and Eric are kind of cute but I was disappointed that they joined in on the Jen bashing.

Jameka is just there to me. Nothing else.

Zach is playing the best game so far.

Just my opinions.

We seem to forget this isn't some scripted show with actors on HBO. It's not The Sopranos. This is a real live human woman Dick is screaming f..k..g t..t, and c..t, and bitch at and so obviously enjoying being able to do so with no consequences!

Outside this house there would be options for Jen and consequences for Dick but on this show Jen's only option is to quit and she shouldn't have to do that. And Dick's pointless sadism is encouraged just by being allowed to continue. You teach people how to treat you. And BB has made it very clear that the debasement of women is okey dokey with them.

This less resembles a season of BB than it does one of those horrible teenager slasher movies where sexualizing violence against women (chainsaw guy chases girl in see thru blouse thru the woods in the rain) makes for big box office.

I remember seeing Jen wearing 'Janelle gloves' during one of the earlier Veto comps. Funny she would have those, if she didn't know about the game. Jen's breakdown was working in her favor until she started eating continually. At the beginning Dick was all for her staying because of her lack of power with a penalty. Then she said she would vote for D or D and that was good game playing. The clearest explanation for her breakdown I have found is that she felt betrayed by BB when they replaced the cigarettes. Her story seems to be: She finally had had it with Dick and was standing up for herself by a bold move and got him angry and ready to fight with her. Then BB neutralizes the situation by giving back the cigs, he calms, all her work is for nothing and she feels betrayed, so ate to rebel at BB not Jameka or the other hgs. Twisted, I know, but that is what I feel is the truest of her many explantions. Eating her way out of BB's control..in other words. They supported Dick in his many vandalisms and she probably thinks he did the mustard on her shirt thing, too. Then they don't support her (in her opinion) when she needed them to. If they hadn't appeased Dick with his cigs, he was ready to go ballistic. Would he have hit her? Would he have thrown things? Would he have crossed a line and been removed immediately from the house? She didn't get to see that because of BB. Not saying it was a good plan, but at least it makes Jense. Sue

B-O-R-I-N-G!! That's pretty much what it's been since last Thursday. (Which was the best episode yet).
Like a lot of you, I was a Dick fan and still am (kinda). But I have to agree his mouth is getting on my nerves as much as
Amber's Crying
Daniele's Whining
Jen's Butt Gazing
Jessica's Voice
Eric's weird eyes
Jameka's Holy Attitude
Zach...well he's just Zach
And all those things are actually petty compared to Dick's outbursts. Dick is just showing his bully side and it is getting old.
I think Jess and Zach, floaters as they may be, should figure out a way to get in there and kick ass and take names....right up to the final two.

On the psych tests etc...we've all met people that we think are great...until we REALLY get to know them and they just aren't what you think. There is a movie called The Four Seasons with Carol Burnett and Alan Alda. One of my favorite lines towards the end of the movie goes something like...Did you ever notice how many friends we have that we really like until we realize they are assholes? Kind of like those early boy/girl friends we all had that we thought we would die without...what was his name again??
I think that's what this bunch is all about. They buffaloed the producers and now their true (boring, vulgar, vain, crybaby)sides are showing through.
Oh well, I'll keep watching and keep hoping that next season the producers will learn something from this odd season.

I know why we're all bored.
It's because the most exciting thing that could happen this season (the house turning upside-down and America helping to evict Dustin) has already happened, and now everything else is anti-climactic.
I feel like somebody should try to mix things up and keep Jen around... it sure would screw Daniele over and make things interesting again. Plus I'm actually going to miss Jen; she's pretty funny, and is 1000 times more fun to watch than Jam and Wahmber.

Deanna said...

Sorry, I can't get on the "BB sucks now" train. Yes, the arguements have been raised a notch this year, but I have watched all seasons and have noticed odd explosive behavior many times. People locked in a house with strangers w/ no outside contact and fighting to get the cash prize? I'm not too sure why people would expect the HG's to not get explosive. If I was locked in my own house w/ my family for the summer I just might go nuts too. Watching the fights & name calling does not bother me, because I don't feel as if it is serious. It is just a way to act out their frustrations at the moment. I've seen how these reality stars act once the walls are removed and they all have bonds & friendships born regardless of the awful things that were said. If any of these HG's felt threatened for real, they would leave or the person threatening would be gone. To fight one day, then hang out laughing the next just proves my theory that these people are acting in the moment. That the name calling & threats are a way to vent & retaliate, but are not actual threats. Verbal attacks are very much encouraged by the BB Producers and it is even in the "Rule Book". So, with that being said, I am still a fan, and have enjoyed every moment of this season(minus Ambers tears, of course...lol). Do I want people to argue all the time? No. But watching a show of people playing beer pong and just whispering all day, would just lose viewers IMO...

Deanna i almost always agree with what you say. I rarely have to chime in anymore!

Gotta say that I'm still a D&D fan though... I dont know if its because im still in love with ED or if im just stubborn and refuse to change my mind!

-Holly

Anonymous said...

Deanna - I agree with some of what you're saying. I think they do fight/argue because they're sick of each other. What I find boring is the same old arguments over and over again. I'm all for a good fight, but when it's Dick screaming at Jen all the time it gets boring. I was glad to see him go after Jameka last week and Eric the week before. At least that was something different. I wish Zach and Jessica would go at it, or Jameka and Eric. It's just getting to be the same old thing day in and day out.

Amber cries...
Daniele whines...
Dick rants...
Jameka prays...
Eric/Jessica flirt...
Jen stares at her butt...
Zach floats...

We need something new to happen!

I love this show and look forward to it every summer, but this season is leaving me disappointed! :-(

Anonymous said...

I totally agree Deanna. The verbal outbursts and mind games are all part of the game. And you can bet the people behind the walls are encouraging it. I don't think it's boring this year, any more than any other year.

I do hope there is a double eviction soon. Eric's actions through all the Jen bashing has surprised me a little. He seems to be taking a leadership role in it. Is that coming from the DR? Is BB pushing him to be mean to Jen? Are they using him to convince her to do what they want? Or is Eric really angry at her? I am so over them. It is time in the game for a player who has laid back for most of the game to step up and make themselves known....and there is no one to do that. All surface no substance in this bunch. I thought Zach would be, except his moves are as predictible as all the other hgs. He will serve along side Dick as a soldier to Daniele and she will accept everything they give her as her entitlement. And maybe it is. Sue

Anonymous said...

Sue - I was surprised with Eric too. He kind of did the same thing during the first HOH comp that Daniele won. It seems that he jumps on the "bashing" bandwagon when it suits his needs. It's almost like he's trying to be one of the "cool" kids. These HG's really do remind me of the cliques in high school!

Anonymous said...

IMHO, you said "You teach people how to treat you". That is true. So Jen has allowed all this talk from Dick. She could go and complain every time Dick ever said something like that to her. And if BB wouldn't do anything, then quit and then file suit for sexual harrassment. But she chose to stick around. And not only stay in the game, but to actually do things to encourage Dick to attack her. She herself has said that the game and money meant nothing to her, that she didn't even want to be on the show. So with that being said, she should have quit when she first started being verbally attacked. But she didn't. That was her choice to stick around and continue to be "attacked".
Also, whoever said this isn't the first time Jen destroyed cigarettes, I have never heard or seen anything where she had done it before.
Again, she did NOT go off on this rampage due to Dick calling her any names. Had that been the case, she would have gone off long before now when he was calling her worse names. She went off because she doesn't want to go to sequester. Period. Now she is coming up with all kinds of excuses for her tantrum. She was on slop. Dick was mean to her. She was on the block, etc.
Also, though I do not approve of Dick's language, we all have the choice of not watching if we are that disgusted by him or the others.
As far as someone saying there are impressionable boys out there watching and thinking Dick's behavior is the way they should act. Sorry, but a parent evidently didn't do their job if their kids are that easily influenced. It is ridiculous for everyone to want to blame tv, radio, schools, etc for the way a person turns out. That falls on the parent!

Anonymous said...

Why isn't anyone saying anything to Dick about giving Jen her stuff back? I thought hiding her stuff was funny at first, but it's been quite a while ago! I wish BB would make him give it back!!

Anonymous said...

I wish this show had a finale show like on Survivor, where the cast would have to answer viewers questions or be held accountable for things that go on in the course of the game. I'd love for Amber to know we can't stand her and Daniele to know we hate her whiny voice and constant complaining. And how Jess's voice drives some up the wall and what a pervert we have seen Eric act like. Don't even get me started on ED.And while I agree that Jen is to blame for some of the things she allowed to be said and done to her,no where or no how should the degree of what went on have been allowed.

And my biggest problem is with Jameka. She says she is a Christian, but where was her compassion for Jen and her support to speak up and defend her when ED would tear into her with both barrels? We all know she can give as good as she gets,so where was her outrage and condemnation then?
I would expected her to at least make an attempt to step up and step in.Jen is a human being and that's no way to treat another human being!JMO

renae-so Jen has already been on Wheel...sorry, I missed it. Hopefully she did not pick up the other person's "free spin" card and use it and end up winning!

Thanks for letting us know.

Anonymous said...

I also agree with Deanna's comments, except I'm still an ED fan and quickly becoming less of a Daniele fan. I had voted for Jameka to go because I thought Jen would make the house doings a little more exciting. But after seeing some of the meltdown YouTube clips since I voted, I'm more inclined to think Jen should leave the house.

I still think they should seriously consider getting Amb and Jam out of there. Those two floaters, in particular, are dangerous together. I don't trust them at all and am also afraid, as others have stated, they could quietly float their way to the top. We'd never hear the end of it from a whole bunch of like Christians who apparently think it okay to pray for material things.

I'm leaning more toward an ED/Zach final two. I really believe ED could win over a floater.

Question: When will the Power of 10 episode with Amber and Daniele air? Will it be on BB Thurs or the Power of 10 that is on tonight?!

Thanks to anyone who can help!

Anon @ 5:27 - We don't know. There has been no official announcement. The show airs here tonight at 8 PM, but I think they run a week or more later than the original taping judging by what the premiere millionaire kid said about the time gap. I'm going to turn it on here to see, but I think tonight is too soon. Since it's a show on its own, I'm sure it won't be aired on BB.

I understand what deanna is saying, and I agree, but still...the show just kinda sucks this year. I've watched from the first season and I look forward to it as summer approaches. I follow the live feeds through message boards and update sites, and look forward to getting all the news. I think this year we are just sick of seeing the same material during each show..the same cries, the same whines, the same schtick, the same interactions...over and over. There's not that much "game" going on either, and we like that aspect of the show too.
Although I haven't really decided on anyone for the win, I do like joy's idea of ED or Zach walking away with it!

Anonymous said...

imho, I agree with your earlier statements. I just watched some of Show2 that I recorded. I just can't find humor in picking on the weakest. The scroll along the bottom of Show2 (from Tuesday night) said the houseguests were alienating (I think they meant ostracizing) Jen because her actions attacked the 'integrity of the game'. I guess that makes them feel superior to think, but it also makes it sound like every thing each of them has done this season is above board and full of integrity. It is disturbing to me, but I keep watching, expecting someone to step up. Ever the optimist. Sue

Anonymous said...

Sorry Deanna, I could have worded that better. I know you are a diehard ED fan, as I am. I just wasn't sure whether you were still backing Daniele too. I'm quickly losing interest in supporting her win any longer. Mostly because of the remarks she's made about her dad that show me that she probably would throw him out the first week that she feels she can get the rest of the way without him. She does seem to me now to be spoiled with her own self-interests at heart. And that's a shame because no matter what others say about him, that man has been sincere in his efforts at reconcilliation. She has him believing she is open to this and I just don't believe she is.

What a shame! Someday when she matures a bit, I think she will totally regret her actions. I grew up without my father ever giving me a chance to form any kind of relationship with him and at 21, I'd have given anything to have my father do what hers is trying to do.

I noticed there is an episode of Power of 10 sceduled to record on my DVR Tuesday night, right before BB. That's not the regular night for Power of 10 so I wondered if that would be Dani and Amber's episode, as a lead in to BB. They were telling the others they would learn more in a few days, maybe they will get to watch it.
