'Big Brother 8' - TV Squad

Ok everyone. I think Jen & Dick know each other through Mike Boogie and that they're definitely working together. Mike Boogie is in the restaurant/bar business and Dick is a bar owner or bartender in the SAME CITY! I know it's a big city, but it's not entirely a crazy thought that this could be true, right?
First couple of weeks I hated Jessica (her voice annoyed me) and loved Dick (thought he was a hoot) but my oh my, how things have changed! Love Jessica, want Dick out!
Also whoever thought Daniele was prettier than Jen doesn't know real beauty. Jen has a very well proportioned face and is much more beautiful than Daniele and the other girls in there.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I think most of the girls in the house are prettier than Jen. Jen is a "butter face", everything is good but her face. The good body elevates her average face.
I don't think you can compare the girls in the house. Jen is very dark haired and complected and Daniele is light and blond. It's like comparing apples and oranges. I think Jen is very beautiful, but so is Daniele. What makes me not think Daniele is so pretty anymore is her whiny immature attitude. I'm a very firm believer in outer beauty being dependent on inner beauty.
I agree, at least Amber has that "ugly cry" and does it WAY too much. I can't hardly stand when she appears onscreen on the network show, you can just about guarantee a cry is coming.
Is Amber for real??????? What a baby....does she act like that in front of her kid? I think ED should apologize to Jen for pouring the tea on her head, worse than 2 girls fighting! LOL!
And Daniele needs to LISTEN, she totally took Jen's comment out of context! Jen was actually letting her know she understands why she (D) has a problem with ED!
This really is a wierd BB, I'm not sure if I really like watching it!
Jen's comment was taken out of context by Daniele because she never listens to what anyone is saying. She whines, sputters, and cries her way through conversations and never gives a straight answer. I felt sorry for Jen when she was attacked by three people.
Jen does love herself but who does she hurt by doing that - no one but herself.
To play Devil's advocate re: Daniele: as my grandmother always said, " blood is thicker than water". Dani and Dick can have their share of personal problems but neither wants anyone outside their family to jump into the mix. For instance, many can relate to this: I always felt I could say what I wanted about my parents or siblings because they were my My family. But Heaven help anyone, who said something negative about them.
I think something the houseguests need to remember is that when push comes to shove, he is still her father. And they will protect each other even when they are not getting along. I think it is part of the human condition that we can have our issues with family but we do not want outsiders joining in.
May, good points made. As a family therapist, I have seen kids who were abused confront the abusive parents but they did not want others to do the same. Most longed to reconcile after confrontation and they did not others to weigh in with opinions at to how they should feel.
May - This is exactly why one of them needs to get voted out. I completely understand Dick wanting to come to Dani's rescue but he has to understand that it's a game and it's not fair to the other HG's. If Zach had dumped the tea on Dick while he was yelling at Jen, Dick would have had a fit and probably attacked Zach. All's fair in love and war and Dick needs to back off!
Anon 10:26... To each his own, but without the girly body and hair, Jen's face is very dude-ish. My 19 yr old son(who doesn't watch the show) was walking by the TV and mentioned "nice body, but she has a man face". Tranny comes to my mind when I see Jen... With each passing week, Jen's attitude and smugness make her uglier. Any sort of beauty that girl may possess is definitely only skin deep, because she is the most shallow and inconsiderate person I've had the displeasure of having to witness.
It sounds as if D and D have had a history of arguments. I know they were estranged and even if, as Daniele told Jen, we don't know her story or what has happened, I think it is very possible that, if provoked and if they are together in the house long enough, one will turn on the other. I wouldn't like that to happen either for them personnaly or for me to see. It wouldn't be entertainment. Dick has been unpredictible in the extreme, imo, as to what and who gets him riled. And I see much of his fighting technique in Daniele, too. I thought Jen hit on it when she talked of understanding what Daniele had to put up with from Dick when Daniele was growing up. As commenters here have said, Daniele didn't like hearing her dad talked about by an 'outsider', but I have to agree with Jen in what she said. Sue
BB8 is lacking something(?)and I can't seem to figure out what is so different from the other seasons. Am I simply getting viewers fatigue or what? Help!
anon 4:16-no you are not suffering TV fatigue. BB8 is dull compared to other seasons. If you can hang in there,as Daniele has won HOH , so anything can happen. There are several puppets in the house, so it is just a matter of who pulls who's strings from week to week. You should see a lot of kissing up going on. There might even be a fight between father and daughter, as dad may have too lose lips and fill everyone in on what Daniele is thinking. I'm not sure about it, but it would not surprise me if it happens.
I am with Patty, I think Eric will soon have to start showing us his skill in winning POV. Too many are talking.
I do think the excitement in BB should pick up a bit this week in the house with Daniele being HOH. No one will feel safe, except for Dick.
I disagree with the person who said Jen has a "butter face!" LMAO. I'd like to see yours and we can compare. Please. Jen is beautiful. I like how everyone is a beauty critic behind the safety of a computer screen. Get real.
I'd like to note that I watched Showtoo after dark and quite honestly, it's hard to watch. The house is completely filled with dysfunction. I do not understand why no one tells DICK to STFU (especially the women). They just allow him (and they also allowed Nick when he was still in the house) to verbally abuse Jen in the worst way and the rest of the nutbags all just sat around or walked by like this was just another day in normalville. It's UNCOMFORTABLE to watch that crap.
Danielle and Dick are stupid. They sent a supporter packing last night and neither seemed to GET IT that they were hurting their own cause. Not that I care anymore because I can't stand either one of them. I think it's obvious that Danielle has been spoken to in the same manner by Dick that Jen is now being treated because she had that cry session where she specifically said that Dick said things to her that she would NEVER, EVER forget. Nice job, DICK. Maybe that's why Danielle doesn't flinch when she hears her father treating other women like that....it's the norm.
I don't understand why America is trying to rat Eric out. Amber, I can understand, Kail, I can understand--but ERIC? What a bunch of idiots.

Although I really don't see what all the fuss is about re: the iced tea incident (to me that's no where near abuse), I'll admit that Dick's statements really cross the line. I still think, though, that he makes things interesting in a season that would otherwise be a huge snooze. (And I have no problem at all with his looks. I live in a large Northeastern city and see tats and piercings every day.)
That said, I don't know who I want to win. I can't warm up to any of them!

Karen-- It's raw reality, it's suppose to make you feel uncomfortable. It's unfortunate that the producers step in and plant seeds to make it even more dramatic.
Maybe what is lacking this season that without the banners, teagate, mustardgate, and all the other grassy knolls out there these people as a group would tank the show. I'm tired of it being all about Jen, Kail not being able to talk properly, Zach looking out of place, Amber crying all the time, Jameka wanting to save everyone, Daniele whinning and so on.
As much of an A--hole dick is, he is no dummy either. He has picked on everyone one of the schemers. Unfortunately this be upfront thing and his mouth are going to send him packing.
Jen has a smoking body, but the face does absolutley nothing for me. Danielle is the most attractive with an OK body for a skinny girl. Isn't she under age? I am closing my eyes.... Jessica and Jameka are attractive in different ways, but Amber is a mess. Some needs to tell her that that crying face could get her arrested....

He was yakking away on the outdoor couch with Jessica there and totally outed what his precious daughter told him in confidence. He caught himself, winced, knew he's blown it, and instead of backpedaling or covering a little, just plowed ahead and told her everything about Daniele wanting to quit. That could hurt her if Jessica found a way to use the info. He was wrong about Jen voting for Kail, wrong about what went on in the convo with Daniele and Jen, forgets HE instigated that Nick be on th block, etc...
IMHO Not the smartest player, but one of the smarter in this bunch. GO ERIC (this week ;-D

Eric is a clown and if he weren't AMerica's player I would want him out of there weeks ago.
This has to be one of the worst group of HG's since season 1 with WIll MEGA...... Cowboy would be entertaining in this group...
