'Big Brother 8' - Live Feeds Through the Overnight Into Thursday Pre-Dawn

As I write this up, all are in bed. But here's a profile screen cap I took of Jessica as she talked with Eric last night.

Here's the skinny on the house happenings last night:
  • Dick and Eric had another installment of their ongoing argument about the amount of dishes Eric washes. Eric thinks he's washed 6000 dishes this summer, Evel Dick scoffs at that amount.
  • Daniele would just as soon Eric not wash dishes because she doesn't think he gets them really clean.
  • Daniele thinks there will be a fan question on the show tomorrow and thinks there should be plenty of time for one. Heh. No time with a double eviction!
  • Zach talked about Jen not showering for a week.
  • Zach packed his bags to move out of the HOH Thursday. This is unlike Jessica who stayed sleeping in the room and didn't pack until well past the deadline to get out.
  • Daniele and Dick talked more about Jen.
  • Eric told Jameka he will definitely be voting for Jessica to stay. (America's Player?)
  • Jameka told him that she hopes that Jessica stays just so she can win HOH and get "them" out.
  • Eric and Jessica talked more about their wedding.
  • While in an indoor lockdown, something was set up in the yard. HOH?
  • Dick and Daniele went over various comps and house happenings in preparation for a memory-based comp. (Although they don't know if it will be such.)
  • Eric trashtalked Jameka to Daniele and Dick. (Personal maybe, but this does seem to be America's Player when added to what he told Jameka earlier.)
  • As the evening went on it became three separate groups -- Dick and Daniele, then Jameka, Eric, Jessica and mainly by himself and to bed early, Zach.
  • It ended up being an early night for them, all in bed by 3 AM their time.
  • No one knows what tonight will bring!

Silly hamsters! They must have lost track of time to not realize that there hasn't been a double eviction and that there needs to be one. I'm surprised that Dick, Daniele or Eric haven't said anything about it. Was Dustin the only one anticipating a double?
I can't wait to see how they are going to do a double within the limits of one show.
Have a good Thursday, see you here tonight.

riseandshine - the houseguests have been talking about a double eviction but Dani keeps saying it's too late in the season to have one.

Ok, JC, thanks, I don't remember reading mention of them discussing that. I wonder why she thinks it's too late.
Good, this will be a surprise then.

I can't wait to see Dani's surprised look on her face when they announce the double eviction tonight!!

I am looking forward to tonight's show almost as much as a "finale night" on all reality shows!!

I've heard a lot of people talking about Jess' lack of dealing for her life in the BB house, myself included but I think I've figured out her strategy. She sleeping and hanging out with Jam because it makes her look weak. Like she has no game and couldn't win a comp even if she wanted too. Sorta like Jam herself.

riseandshine- I think Dani thinks it's too late because in the past (I read here, cuz I don't remember exactly) the DE was spread out over a weeks broadcasting time, not all in one night. Though they DID do this last year... but maybe they are thinking that was only an ALL-Stars thing.

I myself am amazed that it hasn't been the main topic of conversation in the last week or two. They are students of the game, D&D and E. WTF? Only more evidence of my theory that after this many daze in the house, pun intended, they are a little lost in a time warp and aren't firing on all pistons.

I feel sorry for Zach. I know most think he is a big oaf, but it doesn't seem like the other HG ever gave him a chance to bond with any of them. Maybe I missed the part where he was mean and abusive to people in the house. I just remember early on that all the houseguests thought he was annoying for whatever reason yet they seem to be able to stomach Dani's constant whining, Jess' lazy layabout ways, Amber's waterworks and Dick's vile mouth. Yes, Zach is the one to be annoyed by when everyone else is so delightful (@@).

Anybody else ever think of the song "From a Distance" (no, I won't sing it outloud and stop the feeds). And don't anyone think I am comparing BB viewers (espcially myself) to God, but...well, we are watching the hgs make mistakes that we wish we could tell them to correct, and we hear private conversations and want to just smack the listener for believing the lies. We want to see them be wise and healthy and clean. We aren't God like, but our perspective is, to a tiny degree. Just early morning thoughts made while I avoid getting the day together. Hi Jackie, Sue

First thought: What a pretty profile picture, lighting and all.

Second thought: Eeeeek! In this picture Jessica reminds me a little of Alison of Season ___ (I have no idea but the one that Jun won)

Not a good way for me to start my morning ;)

DKNYNC said...

It seems to me that Danielle has been too quick to respond (numerous times) that it's "too late" for a double eviction. I think she's trying to keep the other houseguests from thinking about it so they don't work out any strategies in advance.

Anonymous said...

Danielle has never mentioned her mother. Does anyone know what ever happened to her since it seems like Dick's mother raised Danielle.

Is Jameka able to play for HOH after this eviction and able to participate for the second?

Anonymous said...

That is not a very good profile for Jessica. I am glad America chose Jameka, so Jess will not walk out the door feeling totally betrayed.

Eric will now have a new cuddle partner, Jameka...

Sue - interesting persepctive..I liked that.....yes it is from a distance...its a bit like when your kids start walking...and oyu try to clear all the obstacles...or when your kids have sleepovers and you overhear weird talk being said....youc ant barge in and change it, ya have to wait till you can bring the topic intro conversation later...away from the bad influence.
We dont have that ability here..but its the same frustration we feel....AND I think why we watch the silly show!
Its early....gotta walk the doggie

Jameka can't play for HOH until after the double elimination. The first one tonight is her fourth sitting out and then the double will be her fifth,if they go by the number of comps she's had to sit out and not by the week.Hopefully, she'll be gone in the second one,so it won't matter OR Eric will go(I hope,I hope).I still think they'd be crazy to take Jam to the final 4,though she's not a strong comp player, but she has lots of people on the jury who might vote for her over D&d.I think it would be much easier to be at the end with Eric or Zach, cause not sure if any would vote for them over the others.

And again,I disagree with those who think Eric is throwing all these comps and could win if he wanted. He's not very coordinated and he's not strong enough to last in endurance(remember the "bat comp",it was all women at the end).dick is suspect, too,he smokes and doesn't have a lot of staying power(hear that,"girls").

Anonymous said...

OK - what happens if Dick goes to Jameka with this deal just before eviction and she tells him to kiss her $%!. Is there a chance D&D would change their votes and have Jess stay?
(I realize its wishful thinking...)

Joe in NY said...

To Max,

Jameeka still needs to sit out the next HOH.

I don't think the HGs need to explicitly consider DE. All they need to know is what they would do depending on who wins the next HOH. There's no other strategy involved. They need to know who they would nominate if they won HOH, who would get nominated if someone else won HOH, and then they need to win POV.

I think Dani and Dick know exactly what to do depending on who wins HOH because they've been discussing the scenarios going forward. Jameeka and Zack don't need to worry about it, they can't win HOH and they know what happens if E/J win or D/D win. I don't think Jessica or Eric know because they are completely obsessed with Jess leaving.

Net result, DE only hurts Eric because he's not thinking ahead.

If he wins HOH, he'll just put up D/D and then POV will determine what happens. If D or D win POV, I'm sure he'd put up Zack. If Zack wins POV, he should save Dani and by putting Jameeka up, he and Dani would control who went home (probably Jameeka).

If D/D win HOH, then Eric and Jameeka go up and POV determines who goes home.

It's going to be exciting, but I don't think the DE screws with anyone but Eric, who will not have thought it through, will be without Jess (and America), and won't have time to make any deals.

I read somewhere, that they actually tell the HG's right before the show it's a double eviction. Does anyone know if that's true?

Joe in NY said...

To sharon,

Don't underestimate Dick physically. He was the only one close to Zack in the last endurance comp.

Anonymous said...

Anon 10:45 -

I thought there were times when they told all the hg's to pack on eviction night. Just 'in case' of a double eviction. I don't think they tell them before the live show that it will definitely happen. ?????

D&D know they need this upcoming HoH to stay. The house is about to be turned upside down.

I am setting my TiVo, I won't be home for the live show-- what bummer!

Have fun guys!

meb said...

I don't recall that they ever even hint at a double eviction to the house guests when it's getting close. Everyone knows there is such a thing though from previous BB's.

And... They don't all pack. Only the two nominees pack. When the second person is evicted at a DE, his/her belongings are gathered later. Haven't ever seen how that happens either, but it happens.

The idea of a DE is to catch them off guard. Not to warn them ahead of time.

Remember Janelle when she had to nominate and had barely a minute to make up her mind and she tried to get to Will to ask his opinion? Julie had to call her from the other room to make her decision on the spot.

Great drama! Can't wait to see if they do it the same way tonight! Finally some excitement.

Deanna said...

If Eric wins HOH & is able to make his nominations w/out Americas input (since he has had to all season) then I'm gonna be freaking pissed! I just have a funny feeling that the comp will be tailor made for him & the show will use the excuse that they didn't have the time for Americas input. They are probably thinking he needs this one or he may go home next or soon & therefore he will most likely win it.

Anonymous said...

I am inclines to agree with you, deanna. I think that may happen.too.

Uh,Joe......look who dick was up against, the whiner and the goofball! I rest my case.

Anonymous said...

laura in Iowa-anything is possible with who goes home tonight. The first elimation is between Jameka or Jessica. After that there will be very little time to sway the HOH of who he/she will put up and walk out after the first elimated person.

It will be a hugh night to see who will be heading into the F4.

Don't count anyone out until it's over. They all have equal chance to be in the finals as of right now.

I'm am really hoping our weather guys(South Dakota) are accurate here tonight. I would like for it to rain, so it cancels our Adult Kickball Game. I really would like to see the show tonight, more than play. Of course I don't want the storms so bad it knocks out BB show!

I think I'm starting to whine like the HG now, so better sound off.

Oh, just one more thing. Does Eric take some type of penalty if he goes against America Player choice? I am not certain of the AP rules.

Joe in NY said...

To Patty,

Eric can't go against AP choice, the AP vote is automatically registered. He can choose not to do any of the other stupid things, but the vote is beyond his control.

To Orkmommy,

Yes, I work, thank you very much. But when I'm grading papers at my desk, there's no reason not to have this board open, is there?

Now, if only someone would post something interesting.... :)

Ok...can SOMEONE please clarify how the double eviction works TONIGHT!!! So Jessica or Jameka goes home...then they play HoH and ask for nominations IMMEDIATELY...but THEN WHAT???? They do POV and vote off on Sunday?? When do we KNOW who leaves next????

Help us remember!!

Anonymous said...

Further to confused in cali - didn't Julie say TWO people were leaving Thursday? Am I remembering that correctly? Will two of the HGs be sitting on the couch with the Chenbot?

Anonymous said...

Riseandshine...Dani did mention a possible double to Zach when he first got HOH. So she is thinking of it...and if she is thinking of it she told Dick to think about it too. My guess, first they use their "power vote bloc" to get rid of Jess and then the easy one Jam. D&D are in total control of the house unless one of the hampsters made a fourth quarter move.

Anonymous said...

From themoviespoiler.com - reminder of last year (I apologize in advance for reminding you all of Booger, er, I mean Boogie):

Thursday 8/31/06

Danielle voted out 3-0
Janelle wins HOH and nominates Erika and Chicken George!
Erika wins POV and takes herself off!
Janelle nominates Boogie in her place!
Chicken George Voted out 2-0

Later in the evening (after the show)... Boogie wins HOH!

Joe in NY said...

WOW...so 2 people ARE leaving tonight???? WOWOWOWOWOW...so they DO everything in one night...vote off Jess or Jam, do HoH, POV and have another vote??? WOWOWOWOW...then the next HoH will be viewed on Sunday? I hope I have that right!!!

Thanks for the info!!!

Anonymous said...

Tonight will be better than the finale...tonight determines who goes to the end. Two will leave and three will stay to battle it out. By not having a good strategy the hampsters have pretty well guaranteed that two of the remaining three will be Dick and Dani...maybe appropriate as they have had the only solid voting alliance in the house, and I think, a very unfair advantage. That advantage could only have been overcome if anyone had been bold enough to incur Dick's wrath and vote our Dani early in the game. Then Dick could have been picked off easily later on as his personal habits, spitting, farting, raging, etc. would have made him a target of everyone. At the moment he is farting loudly causing Zach to complain. Dick never got past fifth grade emotionally...he still gets a charge out of a fart.

Joe in NY said...

D/D's presence stopped being "unfair" after the 3rd week. It's not like it's a secret that they are related. It's also not like they were never up for elimination. If the other house guests can't or won't evict, it is completely fair that they are there to the end.

Their both being there is no more unfair than Will and Boogie last year. They were working together. They were inseparable. The other house guests knew it. They were nominated. They weren't eliminated until the final four.

How is that "unfair"?

Anonymous said...

Anon 2:36 - Actually, 2 will leave and 4 will stay. I think you're missing someone in your logic. There are currently 6 HG's...

Dick, Daniele, Eric, Jessica, Zach, & Jameka.

I agree that it's totally fair. Everyone knew they were related and they had numerous opportunities to get one or both out of the house. Several people incurred Dick's wrath and didn't do anything about it. As much as I don't approve of the way Dick/Dani have played the game, they really do deserve to be where they are. They manipulated the other HG's into keeping them there. That's the whole name of the game!

Anonymous said...

The Boogie/Dr. Will alliance last yesr gave them an unfair advantage as well...but they used it perfectly as did D&D. Like Joe said, everyone knew they were father/daughter and did nothing..."you reep what you sow"...an old BB axiom. The hampsters only have themselves to blame.

Anonymous said...

Wonder what changes the $$$ will make in Dani and Dick's life and personal relationship...my guess they'll both get new cars, "stuff" and continue to have a fractious relationship with one another. Dani is so pissed at her Dad, I wonder how she feels about her mother who abandoned her as well. At least Dick provided his parents to raise her...and from her blog she hates her fraternal grandparents too. I wonder if anyone lives up the the Dani "standard." Despite all, I prefer to see Dick or Dani win as in my opinion they earned it.

Anonymous said...

I hope Dani has learned over the summer that her Dad cares for her. I'm not so sure she gives a rat's ass for him. Maybe in time she'll cut him some slack...esp. if he wins the big bucks. Despite all his disgusting habits, Dick has a great smile and twinkling eyes. I bet, for a short term relationship, he could be kind of a cool "boyfriend."

Anonymous said...

If Dick ever decides to grow up he could be a cool person...he seems smart, has moments of genuine kindness, is concerned about integrity despite his house actions and under all that grunge is a pretty nice looking man.

Anonymous said...

Maybe Dick can apply for the new Tim Gunn "style" show. He might "clean up" pretty well. Hello Dick...apply. Gunn believes in making your "style" your own, just better...you ought to give it a whirl.

Are we going to go to FOTH and trivia on the feeds and not get to see/hear Dick make his "deal" with Jam??? That's going to pi** me off--you know they won't show it on the show Sunday.

Also, will the show end with them doing another HOH comp. or will that happen on Sun.??

joe in ny--maybe they(teri/steff) were just using you for your info.???

Just a note off the topics here. It's so sad to hear that Luciano Pavarotti died. He was agreat tenor and while we will always have his music, he will be missed. Saw him in person in the late 80's.

I agree with those of you who believe D&D should be there. While I never cared for either of them, they played a good game. If the others weren't smart enough to get rid of them when they had their chance, then they are getting what they deserve.

joe in ny... i'm available. Now just because i'm 30 years older than you, that shouldn't present a problem...right?

Joe in NY said...

To Meb,

Age is of no importance - as long as your HOT!!! :)

Of course in a blogmance, you can be as hot as your ability to find pictures of other people will allow! I never should have used that genuine picture of me and my dog, now my lies are restricted to the size of my...

Dick really seems nicer lately. I would really love to know how much of his bullying is game and how much is him. Now, I'm not saying he doesn't have a potty mouth, I'm just saying I'm not sure how genuinely abusive he is.

Whenever Dani would (NOT) talk to her father about their issues, all she says is "you don't understand me". He says he was always around, she says that's not how she remembers it, but that doesn't jive with some of her blog entries. I'm not saying he's Father of the Year, I'm just saying that I'm not sure their problem was as related to his somewhat disgusting habits as people seem to infer.

And I definitely think if Dani wins, she'll cut her father out of her life forever. If Dick wins, he'll probably share, and she'll likely stick around for at least awhile. IMHO, Dani needs to be 5 or 10 years older before she will be ready to actually sit down and talk through their problems.

Deanna I agree-- if Eric wins this an HoH I too am going to scream. Knowing our luck, he will. I have had enough of his funky spunk and he not being able to "control himself" and spewing all over the place... EWWWW. Talk about that not being HOT.

I'm not completely sure Jameka will agree to Dick's plan of attack. She may just tell him to take a flying leap. Eric and Jessica really threw in the towel this week, and never tried to make any deals or threats with Dick and Daniele.

Deanna: I, too, had thought about what you said in your 12:24PM post. If they do "fix" the HOH comp to keep their precious Eric in there, I'm really going to be pissed! Anonymous said...

I will have to record tonight, probably, but will try to check in here with you Jackie as often as I can. I just realized..I'm always a triffle slow on the nuances of this game...that Jessica and Eric think they are in an alliance with the Ds, even with evidence to the contrary. Jessica's mantra seems to be 'oh well, sigh, as she turns over in bed', Eric wants so much to be the guy in the house, but lacks what it takes to make the move when necessary. Eric is suffering from a case of Dick envy. Daniele is almost assured the win, she has spent the season getting her soldiers in line for the battle tonight. They won't need particular instructions, they will know how to react. I am thinking though, that nothing will ever be good enough for her. So winning the money will be exciting and she will have money to pay her bills and maybe get a new apartment, but it won't be long until she will be thinking Survivor paid more and people on the outside were mean to her, and some people even thought her dad had the right to complain about her behavior. In other words, she will still be a whiner and the money won't last long. I'm thinking she is high maintence, but very pretty. Sue

They just hoped to get something for nothing.

KittyKitty.... Welcome! She can't play for the next HOH, so I'm not too sure on what their deal may be. But yes, there has been talk of them offering her a deal as far as I know...

Anonymous said...

kitty kitty--as Lynn 1 said the D/D offer to Jam is just a ploy to get her to agree to not evict either of them next week--they have the house thinking they are voting off Jam but the plan has always been to evict Jess.
