BB9 Live Feeds and OFF TOPIC Stuff

I'm awaiting for my latest Big Brother 9 live feeds report to be posted over on TV Squad. But the big news there for the day is that it's Sheila's birthday. She cried when she got her letters, cards, and gifts. You know she's a single mom, right? Also, Ryan and Adam have come up with some whacked-out plan to call the girls (Sharon and Natalie) out about alliances and lies, then make up their minds between Sunday night and Wednesday about which one to vote out. So the Natalie ouster isn't a done deal despite all the trash-talking the rest of the house has been doing.

So, as I wait for the report to hit the air, er, Internet, I'll share some photos I took today. If you click on them, you'll see larger versions although I've resized a few for clarity issues. The first one is SPRING! It's a macro shot of a dandelion. I don't know why the background is showing so dark, but I like it that way, so it stays.

This next one is a rabbit I encountered at the Bridgewater (NJ) Train Station today. He's by the fence which leads to the field of geese. Once I accidentally spooked a rabbit right smack into the field of geese. They started chasing him, honking with their necks low and charging him. Oops.

"If I hide in the brush, she won't see me."

"What? She's still looking at me? Make her go away!"

Doe, a deer, a female deer ... in the field of geese. I have seen the geese charge at and chase deer there, too. But this doe has been at the field of geese a few times this week. Maybe she paid off the geese thugs.

I also saw a chipmunk there today, but it moved too fast for me to take a shot.

Happy birthday David Letterman ... and Sheila too ... I guess.

Jackie wrote about Shelia: You know she's a single mom, right?

I didn't know that. Guess I never noticed her saying so... LOLOLOL

The real reason I chose to comment is to say (a) Jackie, you are very talented. Your photography skills are right up there with your writing.

That and Ryan better be careful who he outs about deals. It might come back and bite him on the behind if the others tell about deals with him!

Thanks for the wonderful pix of Spring-like life going on all around you... the question I have is... where do you live that DEER are walking around? I keep picturing you living in a more urban type area... the train station, the pig in the storefront window, the story of the strange person on the street that you walked quickly by when heading home, the abandoned buildings and that block where Rufus lives, etc...

Where is it that you have geese, bunnies, deer and what looks like trees and a lake??? (sing along with me) These are a few of my favorite thiiiings.....

Per usual wonderful photos and stories about each picture. I look forward to your pix's. Sure was a nice day, but dread the coming cool-down. Forsythia is just starting to open here.

I too am wondering about the planned call-out of N/S by R/A and if it might backfire. I mean who in the house does not have a "secret" alliance? Plus they are chicken to wait until after the veto ceremony. If they were real men just let it fly now!

PS NOW all we will get to hear is about Sheila's party ugh!!!

Thanks for the kind words about the photos. They're not my best as it's hard to tell wildlife to stay still while I shoot them. ;-)

Sydney -- These were taken at the Bridgewater (Somerset County) Train Station near my workplace. It's more rural there. I live in more of an urban area, but deer still wander onto the city streets and there have been a few bears coming in, too. Where I live in NJ is densely populated by humans, but wildlife is all about as we've taken much of their habitat. Geese and ducks can be found at any water around here. Even herons hang out. Lots of raccoons, opossums, turkey vultures, wild turkeys, fox, and coyotes in the nearby hills, too.

Awwesome pix Jackie....I always love a canadian geese in any picture. you are so talented.

Oh man, these two guys better be careful, if they make it to the end, everyone will vote who they hate the least...nothing overwhelming...can there be a tie in final vote?

Jackie, love the animal pix and that dandelion is perfection!

Jackie, I have never seen a dandelion look better. I thought it was a mum or similar flower.

Glorious pictures Jackie. I live in a sort of rural area and tho they say we have deer right in our back yards, I've never seen one. Squirrels coming out of every tree, but no deer. My tulips are in bloom and are beautiful. Wish I could catch them on film like you do.

I was thinking the same thing regarding Ryan and Adam. Who do they think they are... they each have had an alliance with everyone in the house. I hope this does backfire on them. They might have the only two votes for eviction, but whoever is left will definitely be gunning for them if one of the boys doesn't win HOH.

Now I wish Sheila would backdoor Ryan when Adam takes himself off the block. I'm flip flopping I know, but I'm mad! I'm going to use Mental telepathy to tell Sheila to put up Ryan. I'd rather see the three girls go to F-3 now than permit the boys to get anywhere near the money.

I need a chant... anybody got a good one!

Sheila, Sheila, Sheila
The boys are coming for ya
Think they have smarts,
the little farts,
Send them packin' out the door-a.

Sorry guys... I never said I could write poetry.

WOULD YOU BELIEVE MY WORD VERIFICATION IS GBBUYNTT
sort of like "Good Bye Nat"

Nice photos, Jackie. Sounds like NJ has much of the same wildlife we have here in central Texas. We don't have the bears, but we have bobcats sometimes. Bears are making a comeback out in the Big Bend area.

Meb, if you want some deer, we'll send you some! They are too thick here and cause lots of problems--for humans & the deer. Maybe the bears will come back and put things back in Mother Nature's balance!

Ryan and Adam are making me rather ill today with their smugness about what they are going to do with Natalie tomorrow after the veto ceremony. Why does it have to get like this at the end, with people so darn cruel? I really shouldn't watch this show for that reason, I can't understand the mean -spirit part. Oh well I know folks are reading this and saying to get with the drill......but I guess my heart won't let me. Let's see what tomorrow brings! Peace!!! (to all of you, heaven knows that won't happen there........lol)

I hate dandelions, every year I spend a lot of time and money getting rid of them. Now my granddaughter loves then, especially when they go to see and she can spread them all over the yard.

Still that was a fine dandelion.

That looked like a nice fat rabbit, would have made some good stew.

wouldn't it be simpler for ryan and adam to promise nat their votes to save her and then evict her and apologize in goodbye messages, sorry but ur a fierce competitor so we had to do it though we didn't want to and we still respect you...forced to do it b/c of shiela bacdooring her, i mean,
y antagonize someone who's jury vote u'll potentially want/need

Jackie,

Beautiful photos, as always! I really like the dandelion...

Terry, I just read your blog, and it pulled on my heartstrings!! I hope that you are reunited with your family very soon. :)

Wish I could say that I care about any of the HG's, but I just don't. I am still watching occasionally, but I like this blog oh-so-much better than the TV show.

Happy b day to my late night buddy, David! Now, that is a TV show that I DO like to watch!

My grandmother used to send me out in her backyard in Toledo with a bucket to collect dandelieon greens and she's cook them up for us to eat. I don't remember much more than that as I was about 4-6 years old, but does anyone else relate to this?

Probably now you can get it at the green markets for only a few short weeks as a delicacy along with Ramps. Bet it tasted something like broccolli rabe without the broccoli part.

From what I'm hearing on YouTube and even a commenter on Jackie's TVS blog, the Gnat is back to using her femine wiles on Adam and Ryan. Someone here mentioned Gnat showing off to the boys her lactational bar trick. Then I read that Gnat touched her va-jay-jay and then touched Adam's fore head with said finger, which Adam apparently enjoyed.

My, my! I wonder, in her attempts to garner the boys votes, will she resort back to Operation BJ? Wouldn't surprise me. Just sayin'.

Beautiful photos! The dandelion was so gorgeous it looked like a painting. Who knew they could be so lovely? Of course I loved the animal photos. I can't even get my dogs to stay still so I can get a shot off. Your captions were priceless. Sydney asked the same question I was wondering about. I'm not sure I'd like having any bears that close, though. ;) I'm glad you get to see more than just the asphalt jungle in your area.

Just read Joker's and it does indeed sound like Gnat will be leaving. The boys are getting really pumped up about it and picking out some Bible versus to use against Nat, even planning on what clothes to wear. I wish they didn't have to be so mean spirited about it but then that's BB. They might only be talking that way to each other the way immature boys act like bad *sses trying to impress each other. Who knows if R & A will confront N & S and call them out? I'm still waiting until I see it to believe it.

Going to see if Jackie's report is up to get the latest.

Thanks, Jackie, for sharing your talents with us all.

I might not get a chance to come back tonight, so...
Niters!

Ryan and Adam, meet KARMA!!!

Does Ryan and Adam think that America is voting for one of them to get the money in the end? Did they forget that they played a game with other HGS.

Now, I may be wrong, but JMO, it would be a very stupid move on their part to do what they are planning to do. I might be missing something here, but hey, clue me in R&A if I am.

Maybe that is what needs to be done to send them packing on the next round out.

What morons!

Sheila's problem is ignoring Natalie, she's giving the impression that maybe shes had a " secret " alliance with Sharon all along, Ryan is listening very carefully, you can tell he's wondering if Shelia can backstabb Natalie she'll backstabb him.
Shelia brags like shes gonna win it all as if everyone who hated Natalie will gain her votes, sorta reminding me of when Zach put Dick on the block last year.
Bottom line Shelia's mouth repeating the same crapola, shes a desperate Erica from BB all stars and those boys probably think their Mike and Will.

OMG Joy N. Thanks for reporting THAT. Nat's gone over the line this time.

I have been lax with my weather reports mainly because I don't really pay that much attention to it. That was last week when it was nice. Things have gone downhill and fast though. It's going to be in the forties and windy. The good news is it's Dogwood Winter so at least we have the dogwoods to look at. I'm in Chattanooga by the way.

As for Gnat, I think they're underestimating her. If R and A don't get rid of her this week, she'll turn on them in a heartbeat and the next thing you know, they'll be leaving. The whole we're going to confront her about her b.s. is going to blow up in their faces if not now then in the end.

Joyn-I just went back to catch up what was being discussed here. What is wrong with that Gnat?

So Gnat just might secure her stay with the boys. She is...well I not going to say anymore.

Good night.

Got on real quick before bed. Long night. I love, love the dandelion picture and all the other wildlife, Jackie. The dandelion looks like a real flower and not a yard weed. My yard is full of them, yuck, but your pic makes them look beautiful.

Sydney, my maternal grandmother cooked any kind of greens, including dandelion greens. My paternal grandfather made home brew and any kind of wine, including dandelion wine. I loved my grandma's cooking but not her greens, and the same can be said for my grandpa's wine. Loved the grape and plum, but not the dandelion.

Sydney, we would have dandelion greens with hot bacon dressing. Kind of like hot spinach salad. The greens had to be young, they got real bitter when older.

Joyn, say it is not so, why I do not have the feeds, if I wanted porn I would rent it. HA HA

Last night I saw just a few minutes and I know Jackie will be putting up a morning report soon about some of it. Briefly, the hgs were talking about how BB knew they had been 'smoking' in their sequester areas before the house opened. They weren't talking of the cigs that Adam smokes in the house, and Adam casually mentioned in front of Sharon that Jacob said he did the same thing Adam did. ("smoking" in pre-house sequester) BB said, according to Adam "they said as long as my levels weren't too high coming in" it was okay. Oddly : ) flames appeared during the convo. Sharon flipped out. Jacob who has treated Sharon very badly, as reported by Sharon throughout her time in the house, will now be 'ripped a new one' by her at the wrap party for 'doing that'. Sharon continues to hint at something she can't talk about on air (it sounds legal and involves people who didn't sign a release) but she mentions it often. Jacob may be involved in it. I think one of the quote signs in the house should have been the 'thou dost protest too much' one. Sharon spends a lot of time saying Jacob's name, when she claims he is history to her. Jackie, I can't wait to hear your take on Sharon arm dance screech.

Jackie, your photos are Great! I love the bunny. Every now and then we have a bunny in our backyard.

Here in Louisiana we have all the wildlife you mentioned plus we have wild boars and alligators!
I live in the suburban New Orleans area, a bedroom community, not rural at all. Our parish (we have parishes not counties in LA) Sheriff's dept. has full time alligator wranglers on their staff.

On my street neighbors have had alligators and wild boar in their yard in the past 12 months. My Next door neighbor has found 3"baby" snakes in her house!

I love nature but if I find an alligator in my yard I may be the first woman on the moon! LOL

I remember my father taking a Sunday drive with all of us in the car and pulling off the side of the road to dig out the dandelion greens. He would always make us "try" them at dinner, but they were always so bitter that none of us cared for them but him. By the way, he was a Greek Chef, so for the most part our meals were wholesome and licious'...

Guess the bitter part of the greens was because they were old like delee said. Now why didn't my dad know that.

dla - thanks so much! My friend Laurie (who blogs here) encouraged me to do it and Its really been a good therapy for me. Divorce sucks, but even in my own I made sure the grandparents always had access to my kids..it wasnt always easy..but everyone needs grandparent love!
As for the other comments on sunday roadside stops..my grandma would have my Dad drive her up and down highways to get some good mustard greens so she could fry up bacon grease with them...she lived to be almost 91...I dont see a field of mustard along our highways without a smile on my face of those sweet times with her.
Chard, collard greens, Poke salad!
