Big Brother 16: Live Feeds Thursday evening - August 14

Whatever will I do?

What's been happening since Derrick and Frankie became HoHs? Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Did You Hear My Sister is Famous?:
  • The hamsters think Caleb must be the most popular because Julie asks him questions each week. They noticed that Julie had nothing to ask of outgoing HoH Christine.
  • Hmm. Maybe Christine skeeves out Julie Chen, too!
  • Derrick told Victoria that she's safe and Frankie won't backdoor her, either.
  • Caleb wants Derrick to be the remaining HoH this week.
  • So do I.
  • Hey ... then they could backdoor FRANKIE! Yes!
  • Alone for a few minutes, Derrick talked to us. He said it was another win for the boys in blue. But he's worried if he wins too many HoHs, they'll want him out. He also said he knows that there's no way that Donny can't go on the block this week and it's going to be rough. He predicts fireworks when they make the nominations.
  • Heh. Frankie told Victoria that Julie wanted her to answer the question she asked with Ariana Grande being the biggest moment.
  • I so love that she didn't!
  • Derrick told Frankie that he won't backdoor him (sigh), but wants to remain HoH this week as he thinks next week is endurance and Frankie would be better at it than him.
  • Both Frankie and Derrick agree that Donny must go home this week.
  • Wah.
  • They're thinking Derrick will put up Donny and Zach while Frankie puts Christine and Cody.
  • Hmm.
  • Frankie is all in a panic because Cody has said he doesn't want to be on the block.
  • Heck, who does? It's about time Cody had to worry a bit!
  • In a rare moment for this season, BB gave them alcohol -- one bottle of wine and six beers. Oh my. I hope they all don't go into drunken rages!
  • Derrick talked to Donny. He told him that people want him to put him (Donny) up with Victoria so they would lose BOB. He won't do that.
  • Derrick told Donny it would look fishy if he doesn't nominate him.
  • Tru dat. But we know Derrick has another agenda besides Team America, too -- his own goals in the game.
  • Derrick also told him that he's thinking of putting him up with Zach.
  • But is Zach okay with this?
  • No way!
  • He pouts.
  • Cody pouts.
  • Geez, if they didn't want to go on the block, they should have won HoH! The numbers are down.
  • Of course, Victoria could go on the block.
  • But she can't.
  • Derrick won't have that.
  • Zach claims he wouldn't feel comfortable throwing the BOB.
  • In a way, I don't blame him. He needs to think of his own game.
  • But Derrick doesn't feel that way!
  • Who wants to see my HoH room?
  • Frankie got a letter from his sister in which she said she will be hosting the VMA awards. Derrick got a letter from his wife with updates on his young daughter (who's at that stage where she's speaking new words everyday and such).
  • After Derrick read his letter (second, of course) and the hamsters were praising his daughter's progress ... Frankie (missing the spotlight) had to burst in with, "Did you hear my sister's hosting the VMAs?"
  • Then it's back to fussing about who goes on the block.
  • Zach says it's too late in the game to be throwing comps.
  • Cody says that he isn't "comfortable" with going up if Zach isn't throwing the comp and that he won't throw the comp if he goes up with Donny.
  • Fuss, fuss, whine, whine.
  • Caleb said he won't volunteer because he volunteered last week.
  • And we all know that he doesn't have a clue how to throw a comp anyway!
  • Finally at one point, Zach claimed that everyone was attacking him and he would throw the comp if they want.
  • Cody told Derrick that if he was put on the block with Donny, he'd throw it but he didn't want to say it in front of Caleb.
  • Christine told them she'd throw it
  • They continued to whine and fuss.
  • What to do? What to do?
  • Why, let's draw Skittles!
  • Christine's color is drawn and it is she who will be on the block with Donny.
  • Cody and Caleb's colors are drawn as the opposing nominees.
  • Caleb is ticked that Zach's not on the block.
  • After all, Caleb has done so much for the alliance!
  • (Yeah, like blowing last week's BOB throw!)
  • Caleb thinks they should backdoor Zach.
  • So ... our happy little group is falling apart and the cannibalism has begun.

Did you hear my sister is famous?

Am I in trouble this week again?

We might have to beast this out

Will I really be safe? I'm not so sure.

Who wants to see their HoH room?

Worst nightmare senario they could have come up with, Donny's fate in the hands of Christine. I hope she can come out of her facination daze of being in with the cool crowd long enough to realize she needs this win probably as much as Donny. Probably not since she has hated Donny from day one.
If that is indeed the way the nominations come down, then it will be the only time in this game I will pull for Christine as long as she tries to win.

You could have called this "Here's what's going on inside the Big Brother House of Whiny Baby Boys."

I'm shocked Caleb won't be nominated. They still probably consider him a "vote" and will be shocked (and ANGRY) when evicted.

You're right...if they didn't want to be nominated, TIME TO STOP THROWING COMPS!!!

Ooops....didn't proofread. I meant to say CALEB will be shocked when evicted.

Haven't had my first coffee yet.

The two people who I least wanted to win HOH did. Story of my life, LOL. I'm so sick of them throwing comps. When did this become the preferred way to play the game?

IMO Dual Hoh's, Battle of the Block, & Derrick's mastery over these sheep has made this a very boring season. Too predictable!

I just can't stomach watching Frankie anymore. I was so upset when he won HOH last night and then to see him dancing and prancing around after it was too much for me. I have cancelled my feeds and probably won't finish watching the remainder of this season.

This has become boring and predictable. I agree, RBennie, when did throwing comps become the preferred playing "strategy".

I obviously can't read. Caleb's color was drawn!

It's been a very long time since we've had a season that didn't get boring and unpredictable at this point in the game. Once they get the dead weight out and the only ones left are the 'cool kids' then I'm hoping it'll get fun again!

I popped in to read what went on last night but I did not watch the TV Show or BBAD. I will not watch anything until Frankie and Christine are gone. This show has gone sooooo downhill in such a huge way. So disappointed in the producers and the way they have let this turn into a celebrity affair. I like BB with normal, regular houseguests that are fans of the show. The HOH could not have turned out worse IMO. I am glad I did not have to torture myself watching the Mogul parade around his huge ego. What a little teeny tiny pathetic person he is.

I do think that Derrick is an exceptionable player but for me he's boring. I am losing interest but will still watch BB 16, but do get more enjoyment reading comments from this blog. One of the reasons for the loss of interest is that most of the women are gone, the game players that is. I'm sure that both the women that are left are fine human beings but they're not very exciting. I guess that's what floaters are. I do miss Amber and Nicole. I adore Donny.

Also, when ever I think of your comment about Cranky having his hands in his pants and other fun comments from you, it does make me chuckle. Keep up the good one liners Jackie. They are much appreciated.

Julie said the 'revive-a-player' will be next Thursday.
With out luck, if Derrick somehow manages to evict Frankie, he'll manage to beat the other jurors back in. @@

Funny little thing happened about 10:40+ ... BB staff apparently thought the feeds were on Jeff-highlights, but somehow that got switched off so feedsters were watching the staff taking pictures, etc. Not very often something like that happens! LOL

I think it's time for Cody to get put up. He has coasted thru this game without really doing anything. I wonder when Caleb & Zach watch the show if they'll realize that Derrick & Cody have sat back & let Zach & Caleb do all the dirty work.

Last night's HOH may have seemed objective and straightforward. That is, until you consider that, as a highly trained professional actor, Frankie would be able to memorize a small part in minutes. The winners of this game would be the ones who most precisely memorized a short script fed to them all by Production--down to exact numbers and words (e.g. "insatiable or ravenous"). On its face, the comp was Frankie's to lose.

To a lesser extent, the comp also played to Derrick's professional ability to listen closely to what someone says, and pick out minutiae to steer the conversation.

Anyway, Frankie won, as Production doubtlessly would have expected. Besides Derrick, anyone else would have needed incredible luck to beat him.

Feeds back and, as planned last night with the Skittles draw:
Frankie nominated Caleb and Cody
Derrick nominated Christine and Donny

Wonder if Christine will actually throw it... like instructed. Probably so since she's pretty dumb and the guys did threaten whoever went up with Donny, if they didn't throw the comp, they would be up and out next.

monty924 said...

Personally, I think she'd be an idiot to throw it at this point whether they threatened her or not. But of course, she hasn't been too bright with playing both sides this entire season so why start now. @@

Hoping against hope Donny can snag the POV. If not, and he leaves, it seems to me in the past that if an evicted HGs returns, they return as HOH. Would love to see Donny, or Hayden return and be HOH, and maybe get an advantage from a Pandora's box.

I really dislike the dual HOH and BOB this year. I feel it is one of the big reasons the boy band alliance lasted so long....because the BoB strategy every week is to put up weak players so that one can remain HOH. In the past the idea was to put up strong players and be able to get one of them out. This season the sole way to get out a strong player is via the backdoor and as we have seen it can take weeks (I am looking at you little mr grande) for that to work.

So by default every week strong players do not get nominated (Derrick, Cody, Frankie, or nommed only as a pawn...Zach, Caleb) and Jocasta, Donny, and Paolo, Victory, and Brittany go up every week. This tactic consistently keeps strong male players in the game and we end up with an wholly unbalanced season like this one.

Masterful as he is, Derrick would have had a much harder time in a more typical season with a single HOH, stronger female HGs, and the presence of a loud bully like ED, Boogie, or Frank. Derrick is kinda brilliant, but at the same time the cast, and the dual HOH was a huge gift for him.

Meanwhile I am so sick of FJG that I mute my TV when he is on. I know Donny will go this week if he cannot get POV, but fingers crossed the next one out is FJG. Who is one of the few BB players in history more narcissistic than Boogie. Tho equally obnoxious, but in an entirely different way. Yuk.

Last note...Paolo was reamed for throwing a comp at Devins request. Yet every single BoB since there has been planned comp throwing as a legitimate strategy.
She was told what she did was heinous and now she could never been trusted. But it was OK for Caleb to literally sit out a comp? Double standard much?

I'm done.

Anon 2:30,How dare you be skeptical of Crankie's HOH win ;} As a result all of us been blessed with the knowledge that his meal ticket, ooops,I meant his sister will be hosting the VMA awards.

I'm pretty sure she isn't hosting it,just performing. Probably just an innocent mistake by the Broadway Brown-Noser

It's crazy how Freakie seems to think being on BB will pole-vault his 'career' (or lack thereof) to the stardom he's so desperately seeking. @@

ALL THE "UNEXPECTED" THIS YEAR SUCKS SO FAR. BOTB HUGE FAILURE
FIRE THE CASTING AGENTS

QUIT CASTING PEOPLE THAT HAVE ZERO IDEA ABOUT BB AND NEVER EVEN WATCHED UNTIL YOU GAVE THEM VIDEOS AND STUCK THEM IN A ROOM SOMEWHERE AND MADE THEM WATCH
BRING BACK BB LIKE 4-5 6-7
JAMES RHINE WAS CORRECT THAT BB WAS BETTER BEFORE GRODNER

monty924 said...

I get where everyone is coming from, but I disagree that BB was better before Grodner. We've had dud seasons for sure, but every show has to change somewhat to stay fresh. Survivor has with Fans vs. Favs, Heroes vs. Villains, Redemption Island, etc. Grodner took over in what, Season 7 (All-Stars)? Since then we had S8 which had the twist of enemies in the house, and I loved S8. We had S10 with Dan, Renny, Keesha, Jessie (gag) and other seasons that I've actually enjoyed more than say S4 (when Shapiro was executive producer). It's all in what you expect out of the show I guess.
