Big Brother 17: Live Feeds Tuesday into the Evening - August 18

John is having a ball ... or a sphere

Here are today's happenings from inside that Big Brother House of Boisterous Ballywumps:
  • Becky has gotten on Meg's nerves.
  • James told Meg that the way Becky treats her is how Vanessa treats him.
  • It's Meg and James against the world!
  • Or, at least, a portion thereof.
  • They're both glad that Becky will be going on Thursday.
  • It looks like we're probably going to have either a unanimous vote or close to it for her to go.
  • Vanessa is very anti-Johnny Mac, but she just might "vote with the house" anyway.
  • Julia would prefer to keep Becky this week, but will probably "vote with the house" to appease Liz.
  • Steve advised Liz to proofread her HoH blog because BB doesn't. I'd say they probably check for content for legal reasons. But it's obvious reading some of these over the past few years that they do no editing for errors!
  • When it was all said and done, Liz thinks she wrote "the cutest blog ever."
  • Oy.
  • The HoH camera came out and fun was had by all. Yawn.
  • Lots of small talk once again. Liz lives at home while Julia shares an apartment with another sister. The others compared and contrasted the twins. They talked about probably not having jobs due to their BB absence from work. Becky thinks hers is secure.
  • Which reminds me -- Becky says she's a store manager (Abercrombie and Fitch), yet in another conversation I heard her talking about earning overtime pay. Hmm. It would shock me if their store managers aren't salaried.
  • They talked about fast food places, their cooking competition last night, bands and more. And more. I mean, even the sugar content in fruit.
  • Not much game talk, though.
  • Steve wondered if Meg is upset by him calling himself a New Yorker. He's from upstate New York. Meg said it doesn't bother her.
  • It shouldn't. She's from New Jersey. Not even the NYC Metro area -- we're talking Collingswood, South Jersey, farms and such. She hasn't lived in NYC long at all.
  • Hmm ... Steve told us that he wants James and Meg out before Vanessa. He also said (again) that he doesn't want to win HoH Thursday.
  • But he's said he didn't want to win comps before and won them.
  • On the other hand, Johnny Mac told Steve they need to get Vanessa out before James or Meg.
  • Will Johnny Mac be able to convince Steve?
  • Neither JM or Steve think Liz and Austin will be a thing outside of the house.
  • Heh.
  • There ya go!

The mouse roars! (Or yawns)

It's contagious!

Other than no shirt, what are those shorts?

She has a new hat

I don't know if you are slamming his attire Jackie or you don't know lol but looks like Austin has on bike shorts under his regular shorts. Some guys wear them to compress things while they work out, or for cutting down wind resistence, for a layering thing to make you sweat more, or it's just an Austin thing ha

just a side note...
it's possible to be a store manager and not be salaried, depends on the state labor laws. Basically, the financial volume per hour determines if an "hourly" employee can do what a "salaried" employee can. So the more money a store makes, the more likely the manager is salaried. I'm well educated in this, as an hourly store manager myself (not A&F, but retail)
Thanks for the insights, Jackie

The mock court room thing they have going tonight is a riot. Meg as the injured party... after being pelted with chocolates last night.

I fell apart at JMac's medical examiner testimoney... stating, "the scientific term is Maley Syndrome...basically, it means Grandma is a ditz!"

This group may not be the best BB Hamsters of all time, but dang, they have been pretty entertaining the last couple of nights. At least they are trying to entertain themselves with something other than pool and chess!

Imagine the fun if they had a deck of cards in there! Vanessa wouldn't have to stay in the house to win the $500,000.

Also, everyone is talking about Austin and Liz going to 3rd base TWICE in the last 2 nights. That's pretty big information.

Abercombie was hit with a huge class action lawsuit over the manager overtime pay issue.

I know Vanessa went to law school but did she finish? Thought I read she quit to play poker.

RE:Becky
Tue 8:33 PM BBT Becky telling John and Julia about when she got hit in the head/face by a bat that flew in her car. @@

Ok,I'm imposing the 3 strikes yer out rule!

She's allegedly been hit by a train, been struck in the head by a dime that allegedly fell out of someone's pocket at an amusment park ride, and now this. She's either the unluckiest woman on the planet or she's full of BS. I'm going with the latter.
-----------------
Wed 1:16 AM BBT Becky says the Austwins don't game talk like Clelli, Vanessa and her.

Yeah, that's because they pretty much get all their moves from Vanessa. The Becky/Jmac nominees this week were all Vanessa's idea, even to the point of putting up Jmac to lessen the chance of Becky winning POV.

I would love to hear what Brenchal have to say about Liz/Austin.
All Austin talks about is that they are just like Brenchal.
It truly is disgusting.
There is a difference of flirting and down right practically having sex for game. She was doing the former in the beginning of the game.
Liz will be so embarrassed when she sees all that is out there when she enters the real world.

Couldn't agree more about Becky, uncartie. She is hurting today with that toe injury so I feel bad for her there.

Liz's HOH blog: http://www.cbs.com/shows/big_brother/hoh_blog/1004621/hoh-suite-spot-liz-lays-it-all-out-there-in-a-letter-to-fans/

It's a good read. I don't get all the Liz hate out in BB land, but it is what it is.

Monty,The hatred for Liz comes from her letting Austin paw all over while saying at the same time she didn't like him. The word trollop comes to mind when I think of her actions.

Vanessa didn't finish law school, although she had been on the editorial board of the University of Miami Law Review. She got her degree in economics in two and a half years from Duke University.

She's generally considered one of the top five or ten women poker players, particularly since Annie Duke has largely given up playing. Her career earnings in live events is $3.5 million, although this is deceiving since poker players generally earn the bulk of their money in non-tournament situations. Her last World Series of Poker cash was in October 2014 at the World Series of Poker Asia-Pacific in Melbourne.
