Big Brother 17: Live Feeds Into Thursday Morning - September 3

M&M strategy outlining

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Will They Flip the Vote or Not:
  • Johnny Mac is really pushing Steve to flip the vote and keep Meg.
  • He thinks, if they do, Meg and James won't put them on the block and will instead target Austliz and Vanessa.
  • Of course, Johnny Mac didn't mention them targeting Vanessa to Vanessa.
  • He might be goofy, but he's not dumb.
  • When he talks to Vanessa about flipping, she acquiesces ... it would only work if they could push the idea that Austin was behind it to Liz.
  • Eventually she brought it up to the twins that the only way Julia would be going home was if Austin approved it.
  • Oh my.
  • Vanessa told Liz that she can't tell Austin she said anything, but should go talk to him to make sure the vote won't flip on them.
  • Meanwhile, after fussing about how mean James is, Julia told Liz that she thinks Austin is not the right guy for her -- she thinks he's mean and he's "sketching her out."
  • Hey, he sketches me out every time I see him, too.
  • James thinks Steve is working with Austin.
  • I think it's time for Steve to decide with whom he's working. He can't work with them all when they are starting to work against each other!
  • Heh. James said he doesn't know if he can be friends with Austin outside the house because he's too tall.
  • Liz tells Austin that she'll never talk to him again (and other various threats) if Julia gets voted out this week.
  • Steve and Johnny Mac talked more about flipping the vote.
  • Steve is afraid that, if Meg stays, she and James will target him.
  • Then he thought about how Austwins would probably put him and Johnny Mac up together on the block again.
  • He sat alone figuring out final end games with a mix of hamsters portrayed by M&Ms.
  • Y'know, there are hours to go to eviction as I write this, but things just might have turned around in Meg's favor.
  • We'll see.

Will things flip to keep her?

James and his indoor shades

We should vote out Julia

Not that I think meg should be saved for her is that it would be epic if Julia was voted out lol. This looks like the only chance they have to break up Austwins. Vanessa can't play in HOH Liz will be thrown off with her gone and Austin will be reeling cause the love of his life is ticked throw in the double eveiction and boom goes the dynamite lol

Ed in Ohio said...

"Austin told Steve and Vanessa he'd never break up the twins until the final three."

Uh Hello!! He said F3. That's him & the twins. When are these people gonna wake up? (Hopefully tonight! Better late than never)

Vanessa might be overplaying her hand and Steve is just too paranoid for this game.

Hoping for some DRAMA tonight!

Cheryl in NC said...

Man if Julia goes..tonight could be pretty stellar tv. JonMD I am liking your thought process...haha..We will see in a few hours.!!

IAgirlsmom said...

I read that too Ed and can't believe that wasn't enough for Vanessa to OK the vote flip. Not that they need her approval... She must think that Austwins would go after James/Jmac and Steve first. Plus - once they got to practice that game in the backyard someone mentioned maybe it's a DE. THAT should have flipped the vote for sure without the F3 comment from Austin.
Well, if nothing else, tonight will be interesting!

Petals said...

Van has been excited about breaking up the Austwins ALL week. That is why she nommed Julia in the first place.
I'm still 90% sure than Julia will be leaving. I will be shocked if Meg goes.

mindy said...

I hope Julia goes tonight, but I am also so over watching Meg cry all the time. Did she not know what this game was when she agreed to do it? At some point you either wind up on the block, or have to put someone you like up there. It's the game! Stop the crying! Doesn't she know she's only lasted this long because she is zero threat?

Stormy said...

Julie goes and Austin goes in the DE. Too funny if Austin goes to the Jury house with Julie not Liz.

Stormy said...

Does anyone know of a site we can watch the live show on tonight? Football taking BB off tonight. Thanks for info.

IAgirlsmom said...

I'm worried that Van totally controls Steve and I'm getting more and more certain Van wants Julia to stay. With this random chance game they played, Van is looking at straight numbers. Austwins and Steve and JMac probably won't put her OTB. James and Meg could. So, keeping Julia in her mind is another target or pawn ahead of her. She may have toyed with the idea, but think she's landed on wanting to keep her. So the true test, in my mind, is Steve. Whether he becomes his own man or not. Because for Steve (and Jmac for that matter) - getting out Julia is way better. But that just isn't so for Van. At this point their "best for my game" stances aren't in sync.

Ed in Ohio said...

Stormy, Having Julia & Austin both going tonight would be awesome. Aust & Jules in the jury house together & Liz left to her lonesome.

Probably too good to happen.

Anonymous said...

If they don't vote out Julia IMO this is the stupidest cast ever. I laughed last night when Vanessa said she put Meg and James up on the block because that moves her up on the totem pole. Yes you are getting rid of someone who wants you out, but you are still 4th in the alliance with Austin and the twins. She would have been better off to make a deal with James when he came off the block and let him win HOH and do her dirty work. If the Austwins stay in the game everyone else will place 4th or worse. If Steve and Johnny Mac teamed up with James the 4 of them would have a pretty good alliance.

I believe ALL of Vanimal's protestations about evicting Julia are lies! It's all smoke & mirrors, so that next week, Steve & Austin will assure Liz that "Van was dead-set against Julia leaving".
She's setting the HOUSE up to take the fall for Julia's eviction, by being so "against it".

Steve talked to himself until 5am, going back & forth. JMac is on board with the flip, Steve just has to stop listening to Vanimal and begin to trust his own instincts.

Becky said...

Petals, I agree with you and ones who say that if they do not vote out Julia that this is the dumbest cast ever and that they deserve to see the Austwins walk away with everything.

Petals said...

Football schmootball - Roger's playing this evening!

Chacha said...

Like I said to my husband this morning...
If Julia is not evicted tonight then Vanessa truly deserves to win this game.
I may not like the way she is playing but have to give her props.

Speaking about Meg not knowing this game. She has never seen the feeds, only the seasons that BB gave her to watch in sequester.

So like Meg, when people ask me why i watch this "crap show", I explain this is two shows in one. There is the true show which plays out on the feeds, then there is the television edited version which usually is completely different.

I have friends who love the show and only watch the edited version. I have to make sure not to give them spoilers. After the season is over they start asking me the questions of how things really went down.

Now back to the feeds/ Steve was throwing up and heaving half the night.

PLEASE LET JULIA GO HOME AND STEVE TO GROW SOME BALLS!

I cant' imagine how boring the feeds will be if Meg and James end up both gone tonight. Even though they sleep alot, they are funny

uncartie said...

I will be sick if Meg stays. A hamster who has spent the entire season engaging in high school antics, backyard gossiping, and sleeping has no business in the game.

Saylor,Vanessa would be a fool to fully trust James. He's already lied to the entire house when he went back on his word with Shelli. What makes you think he wouldn't do it again.

Stormy,Try http://dollazclub.com/ to watch the show. Luckily my DOA Chicago Bears are playing on Fox so I'm not pre-empted.

David said...

Stormy:

Hamster watch has multiple (12) live CBS feeds links on the left side of the page.

http://www.hamsterwatch.com/

Some of them might be the preempted channels so you would have to go through them to find ones with BB on them.

I totally missed where JMac was pushing steve for a Julia ouster. By the time my internet speed was up to snuff to watch the feeds last night everyone was in bed. How dare they all go to bed early for once. =) Did see the Vanessa twisting of the twins against Austin on BBAD but missed the rest.

Petals said...

Uncartie - Please explain the difference between Meg's antics and Julia's?? They are equal in the disinterested, juvenile, summer-camp behavior, IMO.
Both were recruits with no knowledge of the game, both riding coattails.

Anonymous said...

I don't see the difference in Meg and Julia. What has Julia done that is any different than Meg. I'm convinced that someone posting on here is related to Vanessa and if she slaughtered everyone in their sleep, they would defend it as great game play deserving of the win.

Anonymous said...

Well here we go, everybody lies EXCEPT trustworthy Vanimal. LOL, However, I laughed for about an hour after Meg said to Van. ' i've never went after you or put you on the block, what game has she been playing in that we ALL missed.

Anonymous said...

Anon 1:55

Your post post is way too funny, "If Vanessa slaughtered everyone in their sleep it would be classified as great game play" my sentiments exactly.

Sharon N said...

In regards to comps/summer camp, there is absolutely ZERO difference between Meg and Julia.
However, there is a HUGE difference between them in the likability factor.

Very little is likable about Julia. She is pouty, snide/snotty, lays around, and feels quite entitled.

Meg is generally cheerful and fun, which has made her pleasant to be around.
Others only decided she's unlikable after Julia hit the block in the other chair.
The only time we've seen Meg cry is when one of the people she considers friends has been evicted, and a couple of times since she hit the block. Big deal. At least Meg's tears are real... unlike Vanessa's constant lying and fake crying!

David said...

Just watched the little bit of live feeds before HoH lock down and it appears that Meg is the one going out the door. Vanessa got to JMac and Steve and evidently Steve is the one who was the narc and told Vanessa about thinking of voting out Julia. Steve was puking all night thinking about having to vote out Julia. He claims sickness but I think it was nerves. He is wound too tight and needs to grow up.

Sharon N said...

^^^ THAT!!!

IAgirlsmom said...

Welp, if Steve or JMac don't win HOH they dug their own grave then (and James') but not flipping. While I dont' think Meg has been a great player by any stretch, I don't think those boys would be her/James first targets. By them playing for Vanessa's best game, they killed their own. Any of the Austwins win and JMac/Steve and James either go up or are the renom. Obviously. *ugh*

Ed in Ohio said...

I don't see much difference between Meg & Julia's gameplay (neither are very good players). It's just that Julia's 'coattails' are bigger & stronger (& perceived as 'untouchable').

Meg is 'likeable' / Julia is not! I don't consider either a 'gamer' or deserving of F2.

Sharon N said...

Correct... neither has good game play, and likability shouldn't be a factor for F2.
BUT, if it became a matter of either Julia or Meg to F2, I'd rather it was Meg... just because.

Like most people, I'd rather 2 of the better gamers make it to F2. Unfortunately, the only real gamer is Vanessa, and possibly James... but only because he's won a few comps and actually had the guts to put up people who weren't deemed 'disposables.'

Petals said...

Ditto Ed.

RatchaFratch!!! Yeah, the flip is off. GRRRRR that is so disappointing.

I am no longer fans of Steve and especially JMac. I really really wanted to love him, I rooted for him in the face of all his tractability & comp failures/throws.

Soooo disappointed. James is the only decent person remains in the house. And like wolves, they will chew him up like a dog.

Sharon N said...

Total fools. It's a tough pill to swallow.
Only hope for James now is to win HOH and POV the rest of the way. :(

David said...

Petals, I don't blame JMac so much myself. It was steve who was the narc. Did you see the look JMac gave Steve when Steve asked him if it is all good now for the vote. Looked like he was shooting daggers at him and his answer of yes sounded like disgust and he didn't want to talk about it.

As everyone has said, I don't see much difference between Julia and Meg game wise. I do enjoy watching Meg on the feeds though and not Julia at all. I can't find any redeeming qualities about her other than she hates Austin. =)

Sharon N said...

The worst part is that Steve KNOWS they have to break up AusTwins, but he folded like a cheap tent when the poop hit the brick road.

Ed in Ohio said...

Sharon 3:34 & Petals 3:42 ^

Totally Agree with you both!!

Trouble with Big Brother is you could be a very strong competitor and playing your tail off and someone else (insert Steve) can innocently throw your game off with their play / non-play & even get you evicted.

OT: Petals I was sorry to see Jack Sock helped off the court. Hot & Humid in NYC, must feel like a sauna!

IAgirlsmom said...

You gotta hand it to Vanessa though - she has Steve wrapped around her finger. She wants Julia to stay and by golly she's working it. JMac just didn't have the clout with Steve to sway him. And then to put that bug in the twins ear about if Julia goes it would only be with Austins blessing. So very very smart to start a small crack in that 3 some. She is good.

uncartie said...

Petals,Anon 1:55,and others, Julia at least accomplished something....she and her sister got themselves into the house despite the odds of doing so. Julia talks game with Vanessa. It's not her fault that Vanessa is smarter and better at playing the game.

Meg OTOH,has done nothing. Zero! Yes,she's very likeable, always smiling and upbeat. Those are nice qualities and I understand why people prefer her over Julia who can be snotty. But that's not a legitimate reason to keep someone. If it were Donny would have lasted to the end last year.

Meg spent the first 5 weeks doing nothing but playing silly games and sitting in the backyard gossiping and listening to Jason rattle off BB trivia. That whole BY crew was oblivious to what the object of the game is. Only when Jason got evicted did she realize that this is a game where people try to send you home. Since then she still has done nothing. I LMAO when she told Vanessa "I never targeted you". Well of course. You can't target someone when you don't win anything!
Meanwhile her and James talk sh%t about the other HG's every night when they're alone.
Meg and others who complain about Vanessa always talking game really irk me. It's like talking game and strategy is somehow interrupting their spring break vacation.
She ended up being the house pawn and that's all,and as we all know eventually pawns go home.

monty924 said...

My sweetie will be happy that Julia is staying. He has a crush on her, LOL

David said...

I almost hope Steve wins the short HoH tonight. He is putting himself in quite a quandary by voting out Meg. He will have no choice but to either fold to Vanessa's wishes and put up James and JMac or nominate Austin and Liz as he has said he would do. He is liable to puke right there in front of Julie when she asks him for his nominations. He will have to do it in front of everyone. Depending on who wins the Veto it can only go downhill for him from there.

Sharon N said...

Uncartie, I have to respectfully disagree about Liz and Julia getting themselves into the game.
Liz/Julia didn't really have to create any strategy at all. Once there were enough people who realized Liz had a twin, those dummies went and got overly excited about the idea of "finally seeing the twins together." @@
Incredibly dumb on so many levels.

Chacha said...

David-

I would love to see what Steve would do also. I believe he would put up James and Julia, that way Julia is protected. If James so happened to win POV I am not sure who would be replacement

Chacha said...

Meg has played a pretty good social game. Julia has only interacted with certain people.
It finally came time this week for her to actually talk to John.
They both can go in my opinion but Steve & john have a better shot with Meg in the game

Petals said...

I disagree too, Uncartie (shocker, LOL) about Meg v Julia. Julia is a spoiled, nasty brat who just wanted a paid vacation in LA.

Ed - Yeah, I watched the 1st 2 sets and was surprised to see him fold like that. But you know, he is from my area. Disappointing.

Roger is my only hope of salvaging an otherwise dismal Thursday evening.

WHHHAHHHHHHhhhhhaaaaahhhhhHHH

Stormy said...

So disappointed in Steve. He KNOWS the game and went down the wrong road at every turn. I do not think he has the make up to be a house guest. Will not think for himself and is constantly needing a "HUG" from someone like a small child. Does not do you any good to know the game if you are not going to put that knowledge to work for you.

Sharon N said...

Steve might be flipping back to voting Julia out again. geez, he's giving me whiplash!!! He really does realize that he needs to play his own game, but just hasn't had the guts to do it. Heck, lie to Vanessa and whoever else he needs to lie to, but he needs to stop being a follower!

uncartie said...

Sharon,The twins never caused any problems and they did fool people for a while, maybe week 31/2 or 4. They also were smart enough to ally with Vanessa and Austin. Meg OTOH,
never reached out to anyone. She had her little clique of Jason,Jackie & James and that was pretty much her whole world. I can't remember her ever seriously talking to Vanessa until this week. Vanessa tried to reach out to her about 2 weeks ago,and Meg pretty much ignored her. Her great social game was with only certain people.

Petals,At least Julia never complained about people talking game. To Meg it was almost like an imposition that was interrupting her fun.

I think we're wasting time arguing over who's more qualified to be in the game,Meg or Julia. It's like arguing about who's the tallest midget in the circus :)

Ed in Ohio said...

It seems to me if you want a shot @ the 500 g's you have to be not only a good player in control of your own actions but have to be able to 'control' the actions of others as well.

Dan & Derrick in recent times & now Vanessa(to a degree) were/are able to do this. Either that or you have to be very lucky!

Sharon N said...

"I think we're wasting time arguing over who's more qualified to be in the game, Meg or Julia. It's like arguing about who's the tallest midget in the circus."

Yep! That cracked me up!! lol

David said...

If that is true sharon, who got to him? JMac got him alone again away from Vanessa? I can't watch the feeds this time of day, too much buffering. I guess I can go read about it on jokers but they are not accurate and you miss the emotions and body language when it is happening.

He was working it out who really needs to go but he really needs to grow a pair to implement it. It is nice not knowing for sure who is going at this point. Gives us something to talk about leading up to the show. =)

David said...

OK, went and read about it. Steve talks like he knows what to do when by himself, but he just can't bring himself to do it. As soon as he is with any other person he folds like a paper suit. They should make him wait alone in the DR during voting while in commercial to give him time to think about it alone.

Petals said...

UNcartie - are you trying to steal my Smart-As* crown? LOL, that cracked me up, too!

David - Steve & JMac looked like they were ready to take the plunge. Then Steve vomited all night, sick from the feel of actual nuts in his pants. In the morning, he talked to Van and she nixed a flip.

Grrrrrr

Sharon N said...

David, the feeds were down for quite a long time, so something could have happened during that span and we wouldn't know. Deep down, Steve knows it's best for him to get out Julia right now.

Even though he knows he needs to play his own game, she still has trouble going against Vanessa....even as he realizes everything is for her benefit, not anyone else's. So, he may or may not, but I hope he knows it's time to pull up his big-boy pants!

monty924 said...

Tallest midget in the circus... LMAO! Good one uncartie!!

Well we know it all hinges on Steve tonight. I'm just excited that we have something to hope for. Love it when it's all up in the air down to the wire. It's going to be a crazy ride tonight.

David said...

petals, "Then Steve vomited all night, sick from the feel of actual nuts in his pants"

LMAO, so true until Vanessa took them back from him.

Petals said...

Sounds good, Monty. Guess I'd better get some crawfish in "da bwallin pot"

Lili said...

The twins were effectively outed by Davonne very early on. The only reason they both made it into the game was because Vanessa, Shelli, and Austin wanted them to so their side would get an extra vote. Van, Shel and Austin worked together to pretend there really wasn't twins and to get each twin up to date on house info the second she came in. So I give Liz and Julia no points for making it into the house. They are there solely because Van and Shel wanted it and made it happen.

I imagine most of us want Meg to stay tonight not because she is somehow deserving or we think she should win. No, we want the alliance of Austwins and Vanessa to take a very long overdue blow. We want one of them to go, and a solid vote for James to stay. So to me this has nothing to do with who's better...Julia or Meg. It matters not. We want James to have a chance to keep going and we want Vanessa and one of the triplets to leave soon.

Meanwhile IMHO Steve sucks. He talks game but in the end he does exactly whatever his boss Vanessa tells him to do. From day one till now. Johnny Mac has actively tried to work against Vanessa until he lost Becky and realized working with Vanessa was the only option left. They will both regret keeping Julia. They will find out soon enough that Vanessa will turn on them in a second if the Austwins get the next couple of HOHs.

I think Steve will be upset and sad when he leaves BB to discover that he will carry the reputation of being nothing more than Vanessa's willing puppet. I think perhaps he has a passive nature and Vanessa has exploited it to her full advantage, but it will not serve him well in the end.

I think the game would becoming quite thrilling if I am wrong and Julia leaves tonight. But sadly, once again I think we all know exactly how the vote will come down, just like most every single week this season.

I predict tonight the following will happen, mostly because it is precisely what I do not want to happen...

Meg goes. An Austwinn gets HOH and POV, and James is on his way to jury right behind Meg post DE. Then next week it will be Steve, Johnny Mac or any HG that is not Vanessa going and we will be on a slow March to Vanessa and her chosen whoever as F2. Gak!

How can two intelligent men (Steve and JMac) be so stupid. They need to start thinking about their own game. Vanessa, nor Austin will ever bring them to the finals. The only chance they have is to side with Meg and James. If they flop the vote, that is a big move. I take it JMac and Steve are afraid of Vanessa and Austwins. They can flip this game. Force a big move. It will not happen, though. They've got their heads so far up Vanessa's but, they can't turn their heads.

Anonymous said...

I hope if they keep Julia either Steve or JMac is voted out in the second HOH.

IDK if I missed this, but anyone think possibly Judas will vote for Julia at this point? Or did Van put the fear of God in him to not throw a hinky vote?
