Big Brother 17: Live Feeds Saturday, Power of Veto Winner - September 12

A house is not a home ...

Since pretty much all that has happened today was the Power of Veto comp which blocked the feeds for hours, this is just a brief update.

  • Johnny Mac won the Power of Veto.
  • You heard me.
  • It sounds like it was between Johnny Mac and Steve.
  • Liz is so not happy. Either she or Austin will go on the block against Steve.
  • All will probably hinge on the tiebreaker vote from Vanessa.
  • Heh.
  • Vanessa will have to decide something.

David, I left this one over on the other post for you in case you don't see it...

David, he wanted to talk with her and she said "not right now" and then headed up to the HOH to do her skittles drill on her best options. :))

Finally!!! My guess is that Steve is leaving because she is worried about being able to win against him...especially on a mental comp. I wonder if they will figure out an eviction is coming on Tuesday. Usually Monday and Tuesday are the campaigning days. I think Steve's social game is that of about a 10 yr. old boy...he makes sexual jokes at the wrong times to the wrong people and doesn't seem to know when to just leave some people alone...they always have to tell him. That being said I do like him and would love to see him win the game! Maybe with some money he can move out of his homes basement...that would make him grow up.

That a boy Jmac! About time!! Vanessa's hand is forced. Time to count her skittles.

Yea, my wish came true. Now it is more than likely that Vanessa will have to get "blood on her hands."

Shout out back to Monty.........Go Bucks!........2 & 0........next!

I know, Ed... I love it!!

Nana in the NW, it's actually funny that you said that. They do know or at least I think they do. Liz said something in the kitchen after her and Austin came out of hiding and said something like, 'we only have until Tuesday'. That makes me think they know it's an accelerated week and there will be an eviction on Tuesday (but we know it will actually be on Monday). I think BB told them that there will be a show on Tuesday and then again on Wednesday but they don't know that there will actually be a taped show on Monday.

Hope that wasn't too muddy, lol.

So glad to hear that John can save himself. I think Vanessa went in the wrong direction with that nomination, or maybe it's I just don't like Austin and Liz at all :).
I, for one, am glad to be sharing the world with people like Steve. Although there's so many things that hold him back, he has so much going for him, a great attitude, and is trying hard to work it all forward. Go Steve!

Pardon me, when are the next shows? Monday, Tuesday and Finale on Weds? Thank you!

YEA JMAC IS STAYING!!!

That's the correct schedule for the rest of the season. The Tuesday night "not so Live" eviction will actually happen on Monday and it's Tape to Live. Wednesday night's Live eviction will actually be live.

I think at some point, Vanessa needs to just give it up and realize that she's dealing with human beings and not game theory and make a damn decision. All of her game theory education will not predict what this jury will do. jmo

OK Monty, I read that she told him she didn't want to say anything that would give her a penalty nomination so it sounded a bit more serious than she just wanted to be alone. Of course after having the feeds for a couple months and comparing them to what is reported on updates sites I know to take what they say with a good amount of skepticism.

How many times is Vanessa going to change her mind on who she wants out in this eviction? Anyone taking over/under bets? lol

Woot! Woot! *snoopy happy dance*. Yay JMac! Now I won't dread watching this week. I'm concerned there is such a short time for Vanessa to change her mind and get out one of the Liztin. I do feel bad for Steve. Yeah it's a game and people get evicted and all that, but it feel as though Steve has kinda had her back and it didn't really pay off for him when it got down to the nitty gritty. (Didn't want to say brass tacks!)

monty924 said...

Yes, she did say that, but I think that was her way of blowing him off. She wanted to get upstairs alone and think about everything.

Who knows what she's going to come up with after she's counted the skittles for hours. She has to put one of them up (Austin or Liz) and then it's whether she wants to keep Liztin intact or Steve/JMac going into next week. Vanessa at the heart of it is a game theory expert (well at least in there she is out of all of them) but game theory is a lot of math and probabilities and logic. BB juries aren't always logical and she's going to have to go with her gut on a human level at some point. I think that point is now, lol.

I'm just happy that she isn't pulling the strings on this one as far as JMac going home. She's the tie-breaker this week and you know it will come down to that. We'll all wait to see what she does.

I am so angry. Someone changed my password on my google account. I had written a post and lost it -- so again...

I am so happy that J-M is (or should be) safe. Vanessa should switch sides again. She has a much better chance of going to the finals with the guys that with Auslizzard. She can tell Steve and J-M that her intention all along was to backdoor Austin. They will buy it hook, line and sinker.

Joe in NY said...

Game theory is about human behavior, Monty. It's statistical, so any one outcome can't be predicted. But, Vanessa knows that. She's just using it to try and tilt the odds in her favor. She's a poker player, she knows that even short odds win sometimes.

Sharon N said...

I can't tell you how glad I was to come home (from a pre-season Hockey Fan gaggle) to learn JMac won POV. :D
Vanessa's plans... out the window. Unfortunately, Steve & JMac know she's made a commitment to LizTin.
So, back to the colored-candy drawing board...but still having issues figuring out what to do!! LMAO
Gotta love it when 'the best laid plans' don't come together!

Sharon N said...

Becky, I'm not so sure JMac/Steve would buy it now. She wasn't dealing with JMac winning very well by slinking off to her room.

I don't care what a person's thinks their odds are on what will happen. It's that old "best laid plans" scenario, so she might as well just drop the stupid candy thing and go with her paranoid gut.

monty924 said...

True Joe, but it's a convoluted way to play the game. That's all I'm saying, and at some point she can't predict what the jury will do. It's a calculated guess.

Ed in Ohio said...

"you got to know when to hold 'em.......know when to fold 'em,,,,,,know when to walk away.......know when to run ......you never count your skittles......til the veto's won"

Sharon N said...

^^^ LOL Ed.

Steve bumped the table and sent the Skittles scattering. LMAO
Back to the drawing board to count them all over again.

JMac has to be really ticked that Vanessa turned on him. Now I'm curious if he might start trying to play her style of game. So far, he's telling LizTin he's aligning with them and going to tell them his whole game. The key will be if he has the same kind of talk with Steve, although I don't think he trusts Steve anymore because he spends too much time scampering to Vanessa's tune.

^5 Ed :))

I love this season when other folks out here hate it and rag on it. Vanessa sure has made it interesting and much more than the puppet master last season. Sorry Derrick, but everything and every week was predictable.

Just wondering if Vanessa's consistent offerings of money to the others has anything to do with how "stupid" they have played...and would it really be winning if you have paid off your opponents?

Judy said...

I'm so happy that Johnny Mac won the veto! It's about time things got shaken up a little.

As for "blood on her hands" - Vanessa has so much already! I guess she thinks no one knows that she's behind so many evictions.

monty924 said...

Money offerings is not new to the game. During All-Stars, they called it splitting the "banana bread". They've done this for years now. This season isn't anything different and I doubt that it has any weight on their minds. jmo

But you have to hand it to Vanessa -- as much as I don't like he style, its working for her (I wouldn't play cards with her). She makes me dizzy listening to her.

Nana in the NW said...

I just got a good chuckle reading about Vanessa telling Steve not to TOUCH HER CANDY!! And stop looking at them....then his foot "accidently" hits the table sending the candy to the floor! Ohhh Steve. :) I was getting aheadache just trying to keep up with all her double talk to different people. As many of you have said, Who knows how the eviction will go and we have to wait until the show on Tuesday.

Mwahahaha! Go JMac. They're still clueless. Tho. Iknow JMac and Steve suspect something, but they're still clueless that just maybe...maybe...Van has had an alliance with Austin since the beginning.

I would rather see Austin go.
