Big Brother 20: Live Feeds Friday, Hacker! - August 10

After nominations Kumbaya My Lord

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Hacking Hamsters:
  • Nominations came through early this morning.
  • Well, early for them.
  • Always blocked to the feeds, there apparently were no brouhahas, not even a kerfuffle.
  • As a matter of fact, it seemed sickeningly sweet as the cameras showed them all hugging.
  • I call Fake Hugs!
  • As I mentioned in my last quick update, it's Kaycee and Angela on the block -- totally expected.
  • Level 6/4 might be down to 6/3. It's hard for both them and me to read Brett since Haleigh became HoH.
  • Brett is Haleigh's personal favorite boy-toy in the house.
  • I haven't seen him breaking away for quick updates with Level 6/4. But we've seen him play the act before.
  • Angela, Tyler and Kaycee have decided they've lost Scottie ... if they ever really had him.
  • Sam is still weird and is BFF with Rockstar who considers her expendable, at least in the game.
  • JC is still running back and forth.
  • Ah, but then the feeds got blocked for the Hacker Comp.
  • Unlike last week, this time the Hacker told her (yes, her) alliance.
  • It was Kaycee.
  • She saved herself and put Rockstar in her place.
  • So, now it's Rockstar and Angela on the block.
  • Tyler, Kaycee and Angela are scheming to keep all of them safe this week.
  • Although I didn't see him say it, it sounds like he told them of his Power App.
  • Rockstar, Fessy and Haleigh are pretty sure that Kaycee is probably the Hacker because of the Kaycee save/Rockstar up scenario. They think that Kaycee is too chicken to get blood on her hands and put up someone who has already been on the block before.
  • They also think the Hacker, especially if it's Kaycee, will choose Tyler to play in the Veto comp.
  • Haleigh, who's been telling Fessy her target is Tyler (but not emphasizing the Tyler bit so much to either Scottie or Brett ... hmm) has said that if it is Kaycee, she's so mad that if Angela comes down, she'll re-put Kaycee right back on up there.
  • Tyler took the still chronically crying Sam aside and gave her a big pep talk about how great she is and they pinky-promised she would keep her head up.
  • I don't care. I'm over her.
  • But, since Tyler had only confided in her about his power before, he probably feels he needs to cover his bases. He doesn't need her mad at him and telling her new BFF Rockstar.
  • To Sam's credit, I actually don't think she'd tell.
  • But I wouldn't have thought she'd lose it this past week, either.
  • He told her that he felt at the time he had to tell someone and trusted her.
  • He also told her that he will use it if he thinks the veto will be used.
  • Hmm.
  • She BETTER not spill the beans!
  • Tomorrow is the veto comp. Scottie thinks it will be OTEV. That person all the spoiler sites get inside info from says it will be OTEV.
  • Well, um. It's the right time of season for OTEV.
  • It should be interesting!

On the block together ... for a few hours

BB Voice: I said no climbing on furniture!

Still with Level 6/4 or not?

I saved my beloved Rockstar from a spider

No, Haleigh. I'm not the Hacker.

Pep-talking and pinky promises

So what? I'm on the block again.

I think Brett will stay on Level 6 side for a little bit longer at least. he realizes it is the more stable alliance. He has to know that Rockstar and fessy will want him out soon.

monty924 said...

I can't find the OTEV spoiler on realvegas4sure. He/she did spoil that Kaycee was the hacker and Rockstar would be the nominee, but I'm not seeing anything about OTEV. If it is, I love it... my favorite veto comp every summer.

Tyler's doing damage control with Sam trying to give her a little more attention, but like most of you here I think she needs to go. Too much of a liability and wild card. Love you Sam but you just weren't built for this game.

monty924 said...

Sorry... scrolled down and saw this:

"REALvegas has confirmed the Veto Com will be OTEV so excited!!!!! ,I love that comp" but it's a tweet from someone else saying that RV has done so.

I don't care either way. I'm not spoiler phobic and love a heads up if it's true. :))

Jenna G said...

So true Monty about her putting up RS. I don't want to see Angela go home. True that Fessy would give Angela a run for her money as he has proved to be pretty good in comps, Scotty as well, and Sam, Kc has for the most part been loyal to them. I'm glad to hear Sharon N that he plans to use his power.

monty924 said...

Fessy is so dumb in there that if he were to ever get HOH, it would be ruled by Haleigh or JC, or whoever is in his mind at the time. He can win comps but he's not really smart enough in the game to know what to do on his own. FOUTTE curse! :))

#FOUTTECURSE

Jenna G said...

Absolutely!

Glenn Allen said...

If Hayleigh really did put eyedrops in the coffee to try to get L6 sick what would be the penalty? Would that result in being removed from the game or loss of HOH? Would she be put on the block as a penalty nom?

monty924 said...

She'd get called in the DR and scolded. That's about it, if it really happened. They see ALL. Remember what's her name cleaning the toilet with Hardy's toothbrush in S2?

monty924 said...

Someone else did something with the coffee a year or two ago and BB just made them dump it out and didn't alert the house to it.

Glenn Allen said...

Thanks Monty> I remembered those incidents but didn't remember the penalties. Sam is still freaking out. She really needs to leave the house. I hope if Tyler doesn't win POV that he realizes that he would not be the replacement so he can keep his app for a double eviction if needed.

Sharon N said...

Glenn Allen,
Haleigh did tell Tyler she's not putting him up. That's NOT what she told her FOUTTE crew! She just wants to throw Tyler off... and have him shocked when he goes up.
Hopefully, he will win VETO, AND use the Cloud or he will be sent to Jury.

Even if Tyler wins Veto and pulls down Angela, Haleigh has already told her F-crew that she'll just put up Kaycee again. So there's still a good chance at least one of L6/4 could be evicted.

Sharon N said...

Monty,
The coffee thing...seems like someone (can't remember who) laced it with a laxitive.
Does that sound familiar to you?

monty924 said...

Yes, Sharon. That was it but I don't remember who did it. I'm happy to know that I haven't lost my mind and it did happen, lol. Now I'm going to troll my own brain to figure it out. I'm usually good at all this useless BB knowledge but this has me stumped. It wasn't Raven last year, was it?

monty924 said...

Glenn, Tyler absolutely needs to use his app if he isn't picked or doesn't win the veto. Never trust that your 'alliance' will keep you safe. He's a huge target and he knows it.

monty924 said...

No, it was BB16 and wasn't it directed towards Nicole's guy. I think it was... maybe crying Meech??? I think so or may be something else. I'm going to find it out now that I'm curious about it, lol.

Thanks Sharon and Monty. I am pulling for my pool pick Tyler and Level 6. I think Tyler talked to Angela and Kacee and they agreed if Tyler wins Veto to take down Angela even if Kacee goes back on the block. They agreed they needed to make sure JC will vote out Rockstar.

monty924 said...

Make that, I think it was S18 and it was Meech. Someone tell me...

Monty,
For some reason, I want to say it happened that last season Jordan/Jeff were on??? Pobably WAY off. TOO many seasons... they get all jumbled into a mixed up mind-meld. Betcha Jackie, or one of our other long-time regulars will know!

Sam said she has not taken a hot shower in about 3 weeks. She thinks a hot shower might help her. I don't recall Sam being a havenot that long.

David said...

Sharon - from the last thread.

"So refreshing after several years fraught with tons of controversy and/or ugliness."

The previous 2 years problems can be explained with one word....Paul.

Bizaro22 said...

I think the real issue with Sam is that she really likes the L6 guys as more than friends. She went on about Brett for a while sounding like a gitty school girl. She was also very upset to recently hear Kaitloon messed around with the guys. She's not happy with Tyler because he doesn't speak to her as much. She obviously didn't like how Kaitloon and Haleigh were acting....maybe it was all jealousy. At the beginning, she felt part of the "cool" and good looking kids. Now she's thinking they were just nice to her for game reasons and not personal, so she's now bonding with the other misfits. I don't know, I'm only reading Jokers and not watching the Feeds much, so I could be off. But she's losing it big time and her comments all seem to revolve around thinking the L6 guys don't really like her. Maybe someone watching the Feeds can shine more light on this.

Bizaro22 said...

After more consideration, I think Sam's saying Brett's name, but it's really Tyler she's talking about and crushing on....or maybe it's both? Ever since Angela took Tyler down last veto and since Tyler has spemt more time with Angela and less with Sam lately, she's been this way. Explains why she's mad at Angela too.

monty924 said...

No, I think you're right Bizaro about Sam. Pooyah compared it to a person hammered in a bar at 2:00 am saying, "do you like me, does he like me, I like all of you..."

Read the last two paragraphs of Dingo's Friday update for Sam insight

Petals said...

I'm disgusted by Sam's overnight behavior. She is being ridiculous.
On a serious note BB found Sam. She didn't apply. They pursued her and won. They
got a 'character' for this season. But she is unstable. She is like Kurt Cobain,
after fame hit, he lost his mind.
She needs to go back to her trailer in her parents backyard and go back to
basket-weaving, welding, training crickets, or whatever she does. She is no longer
fun, sweet, entertaining. She is genuinely unhappy and imploding before our
very eyes.

Bizaro22 said...

Thanks Monty. While I have the LF, I mostly just read Jokers/Jackie/Dingo's and some Twitter. Hadn't gotten to Dingo's when I posted earlier but glad to see it's not just me. Fyi...this is by far my favorite place to visit!

Bizaro22 said...

I agree Petals. The downward spiral is hard to watch. BB was probably trying to cast another "Donny" type character.

Sounds like Sam has did not get what she expected from the show 'game' wise or 'attention' wise.

I went from loving her to now feeling sad for her. Still hope she can get her 'footing' emotionally.

I agree Ed.

Jackie S. said...

Karen - OTEV (VETO backwards) is the veto comp where they have to run to retrieve something for a god-like creature and present it. Like musical chairs, one fewer place to present in each round.

Sharon N said...

This will sound totally cold, and I don't really mean for it to sound that way, but....
Sam's CHOSE not to watch even one episode... to make a proper assessment of whether she would want to participate. Instead, she made her own unqualified assumption that a bunch of people would only be living together, happy as pigs in mud...and competitions would create the eliminations. Instead, we watch as Sam unravels in a most unfortunate way. Sadly, I think her pride and self-esteem will end up affected for quite some time.

tbc said...

Sam is my pool pick and I was so thrilled even though I thought she might not make it to jury. I went from loving her to confusion to finally pity. I certainly hope that once she’s out of the house she can come to terms with all of this.
I think she’s clinging to Bayleigh (wishing she were still there) as she can relate to Bayleigh’s unravel last week. I had hoped she’d move past this in house, but I don’t think so. Maybe the jury house will be ok for her.

Bizaro22 said...

Sam will be fine in jury house because the game will have stopped and she can just have real personal relationships without doubting them due to gameplay. But contrary to what Sam keeps telling people, I think she will be a horrible juror. She's going to pick the winner based on all the wrong reasons.

Judes said...

Could Sam possibly be playing the others?
She seemed pretty savvy in her cast bio, she talked strategy, she picked Daniele Donato.as her favourite past cast member, and she talked alliances in an astute way.

Glenn Allen said...

Could Sam be mad that Tyler took the trip from Brett in the Veto comp. and then Angela argueing with Tyler and Scottie over the Veto. She then sees Angela save Tyler at the Veto ceremony. She told Tyler that Angela was better for him. She had told Brett to ask Angela about something instead of her.

tbc said...

Agree about her as a juror. She proved that recently!

Bizaro22 said...

If Sam is playing everyone, including us, she deserves an Oscar!

Jenna G said...

Wow Judes I had no idea about her cast bio, if that is the case then I think you have a good point. Where can we find that cast bio? I'd like to see it. I'm fine with her playing the players, but we should know the real deal...like how players talk to America in the DR to let us know what's really up.

She has told everyone in the house that she was offered past seasons to watch and she refused to watch them. She is telling everyone exactly what Sharon was saying about how she "thought" it would be. I felt the same as Sharon said above about being offered the past shows, and her choise in not watching them. However, now with you saying her cast bio reveals that she does know in some type of way how the game works really turns me off from being a fan of her's anymore in any way...she has ran around the whole house and talked all about how so honest she is, when in fact she's been lying the entire time, gaining sympathy from all the players, playing a victim of not knowing what she was getting herself into. Dragging America along with what's she's selling to the house. With ALL that said...if she went into the DR and told America that's part of her strategy to make her seem to be a non threat, by pretending to not know the game then I wouldn't mind that she's running around telling everyone she's so honest every five seconds, but really lying to all of their faces. She's not telling America that, making us all believe as well that she's ignorant of the game and making me feel sorry for her. Nope, don't feel sorry for her anymore.

Maybe it is like what ppl were saying in past posts about her jealousy and having a crush on Tyler and not having that crush reciprocated. Especially when he took Angela off the block. Maybe her downward spiral isn't that she didn't know what she was getting herself into...maybe that's just how she's trying to cover up the fact that she's hurt because Tyler just isn't that into her and she knows that now, that she realizes if they met on the street outside the game he wouldn't give her a second look. That the only reason he pays any attention to her is because of the game. She says that stuff (about being friends outside) but talking about ALL the players, but I bet its ALL about Tyler.

Judi Sweeney said...

I get very confused with my feelings about Sam... happy, sad, jealousy, needy! Sometimes I think she is working both sides with all the Bayleigh and Rockstar BFF... then she makes me think she is snapping out of it! As open as she seems to be, she is harder for me to pick one of her reactions and say “OK, that’s the REAL Sam”! She’s all over the place which is extremely confusing for this lady...

Jenna G said...

Sorry for being so long winded, simply as a viewer I don't like being "taken" for a ride...I like being "in" on the ride! It's just how I feel. It's also how I become a fan of the "beloved villains" I live for them when they know how to do it right!

Judi Sweeney said...

Well Jenna and Bizaro22, if Sam is playing everyone (including us).... than she really is a dang good actress and does deserve an Oscar! Thank Jackie and all my insightful BB fans in here! Love this blog!

Jackie S. said...

From Sam's CBS bio:
Do you have a strategy for winning the game?
I think I'm starting off with many natural advantages. My personality is perfectly suited for this social experiment.

My strategy is to draw on my experience working in small-town restaurants. I'll come in and genuinely be myself and just lay low until I have an exact reading on everyone.

I'm extremely perceptive and intuitive, a master of the "mirror" technique. I create a connection and genuine sense of security. As a hairdresser and bartender, I am an excellent listener. People just want to tell me everything for some reason, and I have a steel-trap memory. I don't forget.

I will "lay low," at first, and just have fun!

As far as the competitions, I will do what I can to throw them but I want first HOH. I'm a natural leader and I want to establish myself as such and, from there, influence the other Houseguests by means of gentle persuasion and manipulation, which is another terrible talent of mine.

I will more than likely find several alliances but pick just one to take with me, and I will inevitably have to abuse them in some way to hide our bond from others.

As the game progresses, I will have to keep making decisions on the fly, so I can't say exactly how I'm going to win, just that I am going to win.

Jenna G said...

Wow Jackie, thanks for that, it is very interesting. If she is pulling she wool over all of their eyes then I'm cool with it. For me, as a viewer, I like be let in on the real deal...then I watch with a different set of eyes. Just sayin...

Judi Sweeney said...

Well Jackie... sounds like Sam is doing exactly what she talks about in her Bio! She is confusing EVERYONE! Thick’s for giving us this. She started out B.B. by putting it in her Bio. She just may not feel she has to hold true B.B. fans hands and walk us through it... step by step. Should be interesting!

Jackie S. said...

There is also the possibility that she's breaking down. I've seen this show take many hamsters on a journey through madness!

Bizaro22 said...

Interesting Jackie. Well, even if there is some strategy to her gameplay, whatever she's been doing the last 48 hours is definitely not strategy/gameplay.

Bizaro22 said...

Bingo Jackie!

Judi Sweeney said...

True.... she could very possibly be breaking down As you said Jackie and I’m leaning in that direction. That’s what is going to make it even more interesting in watching Sam... is she working all sides as she said she would do in her Bio... or has she just reached her breaking point. I personally just thought it seemed so strange that she fell apart so fast (BFF) with Bayleigh and Rockstar. Almost like she was trying to throw off the other side by even voting to keep Bayleigh. Bayleigh is very talkative and persuasive and might have planted a seed in Bayleigh for maybe a future jury vote. It’s this confusion and possibilities which will make it even more interesting for me! So many possibilities! Now we will definitely be watching Sam even more closely.

Sharon,Great assessment of Sam and how she prepared for the show. I blame BB and Grodner for this. There should be some sort of written test administered before you can appear on the show. Other game shows do it to prevent idiots from getting on their shows.

It doesn't have to be real complicated. A simple multiple choice like "Contestants on BB"

1) Always tell the truth

2)Will lie and practice deception when it helps them in the game.

3)Are there to make friends and find soul mates.

4)None of the above

Sharon N said...

Jackie posted Sam's bio, and IF we go by that, the appearance is that she's not as naive as we assume, AND she's also lying to the other HGs about going into BB blind.

It will be a truly stunning development if...
1) her apparent breakdown is all for show
2) she's managed to pull the wool over everyone's eyes. Including us.

Jenna G said...

Agreed, Sharon N. I just really enjoyed the way that Dr. Will & Boogie would pull the wool over the other players then get in the DR and laugh their butts off :D Also, the way Dan did it, the way Derrick did it, the way Evil Dick did it, all different, but we went on the Journey WITH them. The viewer knew it so we watched them with different eyes and ears..Tyler in a sense, this season...personally they drew me in as a viewer and I rooted for them. So for me, the way Sam is playing now...she's lost me, don't care to see her to the end, rather see Tyler, Angela, and Brett in the final.

Ok Stella time! Love ALL of everyone's input. THIS makes the game the most fun!

RyzandShyn said...

The laxative in the coffee?
For some reason I'm thinking all the way back to the DNA season or the Cappy/Crappy and Kaysar season? (those girls were horrors!)

About Sam - I'm going with what Jackie said - some seasons really take the sane out of a hamster. I think this season sparked the Bayleigh dissent into madness (which wasn't far off from happening naturally)and is probably now sinking Sam.

Judi Sweeney said...

This is a game that is all about social interaction (or lack of) between humans from different backgrounds and society. It shows how fast things (liking & disliking) change and adjustments are made accordingly.

I am just realizing how that works on us outside of the hamster cages too! WE like certain hamsters and than as soon as they say or do things we don’t like, we also turn on them fast (including myself). We loved Sam... and within a couple of days of what we consider bad playing on her part... we want her out! WE are also part of the BB social experiment! I never noticed that about us as a group before. We just happen to be outside of the cages judging. With psychology being my background and thing I am shocked that after all these years of watching BB I am just now seeing us as interactive BB people. This has just made the BB game even more interesting for me! Love it!

Judi Sweeney said...

Exactly my thought Sharon

I think the coffee incident was switching reg coffee with decaff or vice versa...wasn't it last season?

Sharon N said...

I could be wrong, but seems like it was a few years ago.
Something was mixed in with the coffee, or creamer... or something. I can't even remember who all was involved, but when it was discovered, of the girls was really upset.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but seems like the point of the tainting was to give certain person/persons stomach issues... so they wouldn't be able to compete in the next comp.

Ended up the 'mix' was discovered and dumped before anyone used it.

Petals said...

For some reason, Visine causes diarrhea. It's an old, safe - albeit mean & messy - prank. I can't imagine adults pulling this prank, especially when you never know who will drink from that same pot.
It leaves your system fairly quickly.
Re Sam - it's no act. I hope Diary Room has stepped in with words of wisdom, Xanax or something.

Until then, I hope Brett & Tyler can take turns doing "Samage Control"

monty924 said...

Exactly right, Petals and Sharon. It had to do with coffee and I still think it was in really recent years, but I can't remember it, lol.

I think the best case scenario for L6/5/4 is for Kaycee to win the veto and take Angela down. Tyler will use his cloud and Haleigh's smitten with Brett and doesn't believe he's with them. I think she would put up JC or Sam and RS is safe in either situation (maybe not against JC).

Petals said...

Judi - I still love Sam; she is like Nell. Remember the Jodie Foster flick? She was a woodlands girl who had a special, baby-like language? She lived off the land, etc? Then Liam Neeson & his wife scooped her up & moved her to the big city, where problems ensue until she is released back to the woods.
Sam is NELL.
I wish her all the best.
