Big Brother 20: Live Feeds into Wednesday Evening - August 1

Tyler IS the In Crowd

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Misfit Mice:
  • Today ended up being a day with drama and studying.
  • Angela went to Bayleigh and told her that Rachel told her that she (Angela) was going to be targeted if the veto was used.
  • Now, remember, Bayleigh did plant that seed and demanded Rachel keep mum.
  • So, then there was drama over who said what and why is Rachel telling things that were told her in confidence.
  • Rachel talked to Tyler who said he never wanted Angela targeted.
  • It was meant to be a kerfuffle to get people wanting Rachel to go away instead of Brett.
  • I don't know. Rachel is still all over Bayleigh, Haleigh, Rockstar and Fessy.
  • She definitely has alienated her own bunch yet she's way bottom and not trusted by her new "allies."
  • Bayleigh and Company still think it's going to be a landslide for Brett to go.
  • Tyler still has his people in action trying to flip it.
  • Rachel refused to tell Tyler if Bayleigh had the power app. Now, she had told Angela and Angela told him (and all of Level 6). So, by refusing to tell Tyler, Rachel has definitely crossed to the other side.
  • I'm still not sure which of the two will go.
  • At the moment I think it will be close with Rachel going.
  • But that's subject to change.
  • The yard stayed open this morning, thus they know it's not a big set-up for the HoH comp.
  • They soon learned more about the upcoming comp.
  • It's one of those with video and images they'll be questioned on.
  • Time for all to study!
  • But, first ... Sam had a breakdown.
  • Apparently the video of the HoH wall comp she won was shown.
  • She thinks JC threw the comp and the "one comp I won on my own, I didn't!"
  • Oh my gosh.
  • Now, I'm a Sam fan. But geez ... talk about an overreaction!
  • She yelled at JC. She yelled at Tyler. Then she yelled at JC some more. Then she cried to Brett.
  • Gah!
  • She decided to go to bed early and hasn't been studying with any of the study groups.

Why?

Rockstar disguised as a normal human

Besties now

C'mon, Sam. Calm down.

The job was dangerous when he took it

Is it just me, or is Tyler the best ever? I know like Dan & Boogie are considered great, and that's a yes. But I legit think Tyler is owning it. Props.

No, it's not just you. Tyler is smooth as glass, and just as slippery!!
He's a very pleasant surprise from what I expected at the initial cast introduction.

We can still love Sam, but that "argument" was over the top. I fully expect the HGs Sam is more aligned with are going to start turning on her after this bit of crazy.

Really, why would she get all ticked off at JC? As I recall, Tyler was the last person on the trees with Sam... and she asked him to drop!!

Not just you... I am so impressed that he hasn’t told anyone about his power!

Thanks Jackie! See everyone Thursday night!

Sam seems like the kind of person who lets a lot of stuff that bothers her go, but because of that, things build up, then she explodes over something thats not that big of deal. Does that make sense? I used to do that when I was younger.

Sharon N said...

T-Town,
It makes perfect sense. Just too bad that Sam didn't show small irritations now and then, instead of letting something so dumb build into one great big nothing-burger. Hopefully, JC won't hold a grudge.

Petals said...

Agree T & Sharon - Sam holds it all together and then a feather pushes her over the edge. I watched the meltdown and have to give huge props to JC for keeping it calm, too. Thankfully, it was squelched fairly quickly and chalked-up to a Sam emotional thing, not an aggressive game thing.

Has anyone seen the clip at 12:30pm BB time, Cam 3/4 from 8/1/18? Bayleigh & Co are in the HOH and Hay walks in. Bay snaps at her to, "Knock! G-dammit!" So Hay backs out of the room, knocks, and is allowed to enter.
WHAT?!?! I think the most offensive part to me is the GD. I cannot STAND when people say GD or J like that. But also - isn't Hay one of Bay's pals? Now she has to knock and wait for admittance? Just thought it was mean.

Brett tried to make some in-roads last night in his last minute hope for votes to stay. Brett has grown on me, I must say. 1) he went to Alabama (RTR, baby) 2) he has kept his real life job a secret, and 3) with an abundance of opportunities, he has resisted the showmance!

Tyler is AH-MAZ-ING!!! Last night I came up with Man Bun Mind Gun for his power, but there has to be a better phrase, name for Tyler. He's earning it! ♥ him!

Finally, hope you are feeling better today Jackie.

Question for the group: next week, Bayleigh has the power to flip the nominees, but Tyler can stay in a cloud. Which power is better? My guess is that if Bayleigh flips the nominees to include Tyler, then he can say he is in a cloud and she needs to pick someone else?

NOTE:
FEZ snuck (eyeliner) pencil & paper under a blanket to take crib notes during the HOH study session last night. Others used candy, props - which are allowed.

Chrob1 - In a way, Bayleigh's power is more powerful. She can secretly replace the nominations with two she wants on the block. Now, she can only save herself if she's one of the two nominations being replaced. Once she uses the power, she has no protection from being a renom (as a veto holder has protection). Her power is only good until it's down to the final eight.

With Tyler, the big hitch is that he needs to PREDICT when he's going to be in trouble. He has to use it BEFORE the nomination or veto meeting to save himself. His power expires much later that the others have. It was good for two months as of a July 6 start.

Just a reminder of Tyler pre-season ... Tyler interview

Sharon N said...

Jackie,
Thanks for the reminder interview. It's even more fun knowing Tyler really IS a "super-fan," and he's managing to stick to his plan.
So many ninnies come on BB saying they are HUGE super-fans... and then we quickly learn they only watched a couple of episodes. yup, experts. @@

Tyler's power reminds me of "immunity" like on Survivor. Bey really screwed up by telling ppl about her power. A major perk of her power was that it was totally secret, meaning that their wouldn't be any blow back just the mystery of "who" done it. So now whenever she does use it she won't be protected. Hopefully she pisses more ppl off in the house and is sent packing! Sooner rather then later. They say, theirs one person for everyone out there, and the way I see it...her and Swaggie deserve eachother!

Doing some mental math in my head.

I think last weeks' vote was 9-1 to evict Kaitlyn. 10 voters, 2 on the block + HOH.
13 in the game last week. 12 in this week, so for Bayleigh's power to last until final 8, she has about 4 weeks left of her power, barring any double eviction weeks, which I'm sure they'll have. I guess it expires around Sept 1

Tyler has 2 months from July 6th, so Sept 6th, I guess they both have the same length to their power, each can only use it once. So we have a waiting game as to who is more strategic with it...I'm rooting for Tyler!

Jenna G said...

You would think that if your a fan of Big Brother your also a fan of Survivor. With that said, I think Tyler is a fan of both because I feel, he"s learned by watching Survivor that keeping the advantage a total secret gives the person with that advantage the most optimal use of that "power" or advantage. I would love to see Tyler on Survivor.. .Sam too, especially to see all that she could make around camp!

Ed in Ohio said...

Jackie, You had me singing "I'm In With The In Crowd" in my head all morning! My BB 'in crowd' is definitely Tyler & Sam. I'm all in with those two. Hope they can keep it going.

I agree with Jenna G above; I would love, love, love to see Sam on Survivor. Like Petals said in an earlier post she's a female MacGyver.

As for Fessy & Scottie; I don't care for cheaters no matter how 'creative' they are.

Lookin' forward to the eviction show tonight!

Sharon N said...

Brett's study for HOH is an 'association with' thing. Hopefully, he is correct on everything since he was giving the clues to Kaycee and Angela.

Hope Rachel is evicted, and Brett wins HOH. Just so we can watch the defunct Queen Bay & crew's heads explode! LOL

Tyler is a good player but let's not lose sight of the fact he's playing with a bunch of people that know little to nothing about the strategy of the game.

Ed in Ohio or anyone, How did Scotty cheat? Fessy should get a penalty nomination. I'm sick of the rules never being enforced. Last year it was Matt ignoring his HN status. The constant singing that interrupts the feeds? 3 warning strikes and then you become a have not for a day with each subsequent infraction.

I'm hoping that Rachel stays with a hinky vote in a 5-4 result. That would really set off the house. Level 6 would be looking for the traitor and Hive would be trying to figure out why it wasn't unanimous.

Petals said...

ditto Sharon!

Glenn Allen said...

Rachael would think that Level 6 kept her and that the Hive and Bayleigh wanted her evicted.

RyzandShyn said...

I agree that Tyler is a great player. He really knows how to keep on top of what is going on, talking to just the right person at the right time, and saying the right things. I thought his move talking up Scottie was an interesting one. I also like the way he's turning the tide so that Rachel goes instead of Brett.
But I especially like how much fun he is having playing the game!
And I especially like how he rocks the man-bun - seems to me that many young men who try it can't pull it off.

monty924 said...

Unc, you may get your wish. We never know what JC or even Sam will do, but I'm still betting on a Rachel eviction. The cheating was mainly Fessy. He had some sort of paper under the covers with an eyeliner or eyebrow pencil in what looked like him writing down notes about the memory comp... which also makes him a thief, lol. I'm sure he didn't bring any in on his own. :)) Not sure what Scottie did. They've always studied with candies in there ever since ED and Dani perfected it. That's isn't a rules violation, but writing down notes is...

monty924 said...

Oh, and the playing with sub-standard players... I think we all said that about Derrick in the beginning and even Dan in S10. I think we look back on seasons when they are over with and make better judgments about whether or not the winner played a great game. At this moment, I'd say Tyler is a cross or mash-up of Dan and Derrick... I might even through in a Dr. Will for the planning factor. L6 has come up with some great plans and a lot of that is Tyler's leading them. jmo

Although I NEVER want to see Paul again, I can't help wonder how he would have done vs someone like Tyler. lol

Lol, Monty, I was saying to myself, wow Monty was in a hurry when she wrote her comment.

I wouldn't mind seeing Sam on survivor, but I don't think she has the killer instinct to play it. She does not even know what is going on in the BB house. She only knows what little Tyler and JC tell her. She may have me fooled and is more observant that I think. Time will tell.

monty924 said...

Lol, tbc. It was a bit of both on the hurry and just my habit of typing out words that I type often vs similar words that mean nothing of the sort, lol. I'm sure it's some obscure form of dyslexia or early senility. Hoping it's the first one. :)))

I'm getting the corn on the cob off the grill to bring to the pool. See everyone in a few.
