BB18: Live Feeds into Monday Afternoon, PoV renom - July 4

I love to screen cap odd expressions.

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Crushed Dreams:
  • Right now they still have the yard open. I expect that to end before dusk. Whoops, the yard is now closed.
  • The PoV ceremony went down much earlier than I thought it would.
  • However, the result was exactly as expected -- Paulie took Paul off the block, replacing him him with Victor.
  • Surprisingly, Victor has been taking it well. He said he was expecting it.
  • Maybe some of the talks in which Paul hinted at it sunk in.
  • Maybe somebody gave him warning.
  • I don't know.
  • Victor did tell Paul he "called it."
  • Well, that's because he knew about it beforehand. But, he wisely didn't tell Victor those details.
  • Paul thanked Paulie for taking him off the block (although he knows it's because they want to backdoor Victor).
  • He's probably thinking he's lucky not to be Victor!
  • James and Victor have patriotic tank tops on.
  • Frank continued his anti-Tiffany talk with Da'Vonne.
  • She pretty much dismissed him, reminding him they have the numbers and that's all that matters right now.
  • Victor is trying to steer the focus from him or Bronte onto Tiffany.
  • He told Da'Vonne he was the Road Kill winner who put Tiffany on the block.
  • As if she didn't already know that!
  • Nicole said something which struck me as my own thoughts -- Victor is so handsome until you see how cocky he really is.
  • Not much going on. They're probably stuck in the house for the duration of the day due to the holiday doings on the lot.

Comfort is lacking, methinks

BB18: Live Feeds into Monday Morning - July 4

Will things said catch up to Da'Vonne?

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Schemin' Demons:
  • It should be a relatively quiet day today.
  • If the past is any indicator, they'll spend much of the day in indoor lockdown due to 4th of July doings on the show lot.
  • I do expect, since it didn't happen yesterday, that the PoV meeting will take place.
  • I fully expect that Paulie will take Paul down and get Victor in place for the backdoor.
  • He can't take Tiffany down as she's the Road Kill nominee -- it would be Victor naming the replacement.
  • Of Paul and Bronte, it probably seems like Paul is easier to work with although he's a target, too.
  • But it's still Victor with the HUGE target on him due to his allegiance to Jozea, his physical threats and his controlling kind of attitude.
  • Nothing of much consequence happened in the overnight hours.
  • I expect the real fireworks to start when Victor gets named as the renom!
  • The girls seem to be getting closer. At least when we're talking Da'Vonne, Zakiyah, Michelle.
  • Of course, Bronte and Bridgette have been two for the price of one since the get-go.
  • Da'Vonne has been turning on Frank.
  • She and her gals also think that James is getting too chummy with Natalie.
  • So much for the returnees sticking together!
  • They also don't trust Tiffany.
  • BB gave them alcohol again.
  • Nicole told the girls that Frank wants Tiffany out more than he wants Bronte out.
  • Of course, this week it's still Victor. They're talking future order.
  • Da'Vonne thinks it will be easy to get Corey out when the time comes.
  • Since he's such an inconsequential player, probably so. He's friendly with all, is loyal to Nicole (his first friend in the house) and he's a rather mellow kind of guy in the house. He's the type who could possibly go completely under the radar until near the end.
  • Natalie and Bridgette think they're floaters and not a threat to anyone.
  • Nicole also has suspicions regarding Frank.
  • Paul tried to hint to Victor that he may be in trouble. He told Victor that he thinks Paulie won't take Tiffany down because that wouldn't make sense. But he thinks Paulie might take Bronte down.
  • Victor claims he wants to remain thinking positive.
  • Well, that positive attitude will most likely be blown within the next twelve hours or so.
  • James flirted more with Natalie. I doubt any of this will go any further than the Meg/James "romance" did.
  • Frank had a bit of a hissy fit when James took pizza out of the oven before he (Frank) thought it was ready. He frightened Nicole with the reaction.
  • James isn't really frightened of much at all.
  • Da'Vonne told us she thinks Frank is her biggest competition. Hmm.
  • All are still asleep as I post this.

BB18: Live Feeds into Sunday Evening - July 3

Why am I here again?

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap:
  • I've decided I couldn't have a bed like the one in HoH with the fishtank above the headboard. I'd sit and watch the fish all night instead of sleeping.
  • Sundays are rather lazy in the BB house.
  • BB let them sleep in.
  • I've noticed this crowd, although several stayed up late last night, aren't huge stay up until dawn types.
  • Paul says he smokes, but I haven't seen anyone smoke in this crew.
  • James says he wants some of the "blame" for putting Victor on the block when they do the PoV meeting.
  • I think it's more like he wants some of the "credit" for doing it. After all, they did nearly come to blows.
  • Paulie and some of the 8-Packers are very leery of Bridgette. Frank seems to be the only one who actually trusts her.
  • They were once again allowed into the backyard.
  • Just judging on the various workouts, it's Paulie who's the best fit in the house.
  • Frank and Da'Vonne really want Tiffany out (and Paulie in the 8-Pack as the replacement).
  • While Tiffany is on the block as the Road Kill nominee, it's not likely this will be the week they make the move. It should be a Backdoor Victor.
  • There was some excitement when a banner plane flew by reading, "Will you marry me?" Chances are very high it had absolutely nothing to do with BB.
  • Frank started the rumor that it read, "Will you marry me, Z?"
  • Heh.
  • Michelle cried over something, maybe stress. James consoled her. He's good at that.
  • Frank doesn't want Corey to win HoH for a few weeks so they can get Tiffany out.
  • Hmm.
  • Bronte's on the block this week. But she's more likely to be a target next week ... if some people have their way.
  • A whole lotta nothing going on.
  • No PoV meeting as of this writing.
  • So, Victor still thinks he's in it to win it.

Mingling

My inside upper arm is too sensitive for that

Humma, humma Paulie!

Is there really an attraction?

BB18: HoH Reveal, Nominations Episode Blog Party - July 3

As the show airs here on the East Coast, I'll be constantly updating this entry. Refresh the page to get the latest news! As always, the real party is in the comments area! Come join in on the fun!

Gee, a quick recap for a change! They must have a lot of stuff to cram into the hour-long episode.

The HoH comp continuation um ... continues. Frank wants Victor to think he and Paulie want to work with him. But, in reality, he wants Victor out of there this week. Paul thinks Da'Vonne and Zakiyah are moving too slow. Tiffany deliberately comes down because she thinks Corey can go faster without her. Freakazoids out of the game. James sneaky throws it because he wants another team to win. Frank says they're handing it to Paulie.

Yep, Paulie is the new HoH!

Oh, geez ... Victor, in the DR, is almost to tears about Jozea being voted out. However, Paul realizes that he's going to have to work to repair his "image" with the rest of the house. James wants Victor and Bronte on the block. He advises Natalie to keep her cool.

Victor, who blatantly wanted Paulie voted out last week, tries to influence Paulie that the girls need to go. Well, not Bronte. He wants Bronte to stay.

Meanwhile, Paulie wants to get closer to Paul, even to the point of using him as a pawn on the block. He wants Paulie to betray Victor. And, Paul sees through it and believes he just might have to go along with Paulie's plan to get Victor out of the house.

We're into a James flirting segment. Cute.

Time for nominations! Paulie nominates Paul, then Bronte. Paul, wasn't sure where you're at, Bronte the same. Both part of the situation where someone was coming after him.

He tells us that he wants to backdoor Victor.

Bronte no longer trusts any of the boys. Paul knew it was coming. He says the better beard will win.

BB ROAD KILL time! Returning souvenirs, six items which add up exactly 18 dollars. Apparently, they don't have to figure in tax!

The secret reveal of the winner was done through tackle boxes once again. Victor is the winner of Road Kill!

So, what does Victor do? He runs and tells Paulie and then Frank! Silly boy. He thinks he's showing Frank and Paulie he can work with them. He tells Paul and Paul advises him not to tell anyone else. Victor knows better, though. Did I say Silly Boy? I meant it. Victor asks Paulie who should go up.

The Road Kill nominee is ... TIFFANY.

Backdoor Victor plan still in motion.

BB18: Live Feeds Overnight into Sunday - July 3

Beauty fades; obnoxious might be forever

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of The Ants Come Marching In:
  • I don't have a heck of a lot for you.
  • As I mentioned in the last update, Paulie won the Power of Veto, thus his plan should go down as planned.
  • What was that plan?
  • Backdoor Victor, of course.
  • Earlier he thought he'd warn Victor just before the ceremony.
  • Now he thinks he probably won't.
  • He sincerely wants what will make it easiest for the rest of the house.
  • Victor has a temper.
  • As of right now, Victor doesn't have a clue. He doesn't even know what a backdoor is.
  • Well, he probably knows what one in a house is. But we're talking a backdoor plan as in reference to Big Brother!
  • Paulie plans to take Paul off the block and replace him with Victor.
  • Lots of small talk.
  • They've been in indoor lockdown overnight due to clean up from the PoV comp.
  • It was a messy spelling a word comp. Technotronics!
  • Ah, well. Even though a group stayed up really really late (for a change), it was mostly small talk. Frank, Zakiyah and Paulie talked about how unrealistic it is for Jozea and Victor to think the show will bring Hollywood knocking at their doors.

Talk about under the radar ...

It was a messy PoV comp

Off Topic: That Was the Week It Was - July 3, 2016

Good morning! Since it's Sunday morning, it's time for my weekly off television topic reflection on the week gone by in both words and photographs I've taken along the way. If you're here for Big Brother news, everything I have for you can be found at this link. I'll be posting another live feeds report tonight as well as live-blogging the aired show. But this ain't that. This post is a year-round regular "feature" while Big Brother is a summer obsession. Or, something like that.

I'm finally on a staycation, my last one until September. From what I can see, a heat wave is due to be taking up a good half of my week. Grr. I'm not a summer person unless we're talking staying inside with air conditioning. That's what I'll probably do for a lot of the week. I have the BB live feeds, some other summer TV shows, a couple of new books to read and plenty of diversions.

My three and a half day work week this past week seemed to last a good ten days. I believe I'm actually pining for the day I can finally retire. Yeah, you heard me ... pining.

About the only good thing work-wise which happened this past week is that I received my catalog to choose my recognition award. Every five years of employment at the company gets to choose an award. Since I'm up there in years, I have some pretty decent choices. The last time (five years ago), I got a flat-screen LED television. This year, if I had a car, I'd be tempted by the cool kayak. If I had a lawn, I'd be tempted by a very nice charbroil gas grill or the smoker/grill/roaster one. There are a few cameras catching my attention, a larger HDTV set, a home entertainment system, a quality cookware set ... oh, decisions, decisions. Several watches and pieces of jewelry are in the catalog, but they're really not my thing.

Onto the photos I took this week:

Little green apples

I took trash out to the dumpster in the back of my apartment building's parking lot. I happened to notice a small half-eaten green apple on the ground. I looked up and saw the apple-eater with another one in his paws.

Flower of an hour

Thanks to Bernice, I now know what these beautiful flowers which are usually closed are! You can tell that they're a hibiscus type flower. These just sprouted up like weeds near the Bridgewater Train Station. After the jump, I have a photo of the plant itself.

My town (Plainfield, NJ) had its 93rd Annual 4th of July Parade yesterday.  If you want to check out the photos I took or the "story" below won't work for you, the actual slideshow on my Photobucket account can be found at this link. The link to the album is right here. It was great to see all the children from the city schools involved this year! While the Plainfield HS Marching Band is usually in attendance, the younger kids got involved with their Drama Club (do they still call it that?) doings.

BB18: Live Feeds into Saturday Evening, PoV Winner - July 2

Sloppy berries

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Wayward Boys and Girls:
  • BB woke them up and had them all gather in the kitchen.
  • Aha! Bowls of slop and berries filled the table.
  • Paulie had to read a statement, "Do I read this now?"
  • Since the Big Sister team did the worst in the HoH comp, they're the Have Nots this week.
  • That would be Paul, Zakiyah and Da'Vonne.
  • They picked the players for PoV -- in addition to Paulie, Paul, Bronte and Tiffany, it will be Da'Vonne and Zakiyah playing.
  • Frank is still pushing to get Paulie in their alliance and Tiffany out.
  • One of his reasons is that she's close with Natalie and Bronte.
  • Wasn't it FRANK who hinted to Natalie that Jozea would be voted out and thus spoiled a perfect blindside?
  • Hmm.
  • Meanwhile, a rift is developing between Frank and Da'Vonne. Da'Vonne says that Frank called her a "slut," supposedly joking but it still went too far. I personally didn't hear that one.
  • Anyway, both Da'Vonne and Zakiyah now want Frank out before jury.
  • Da'Vonne is upset about the latest happening because she had been thinking a great final three would be herself, Zakiyah and Frank.
  • Oh, well.
  • When Nicole came upon Zakiyah and Da'Vonne, the conversation changed. I guess it's not in Da'Vonne's plans to even think of Nicole in her final three scenario?
  • Da'Vonne told Nicole that, if she wins PoV, her plan is to take Paul down so Paulie can put Victor on the block.
  • Frank and Paulie are a bit worried about the "girl thing" going on in the house.
  • Much of today was a waiting game, awaiting the PoV comp.
  • Paulie told Tiffany that if she wins PoV, she cannot use it to save herself as the goal is to get Victor up and out. Since she's the Road Kill nominee, it's Victor who would name her replacement. She must lose. He guarantees her that she's safe.
  • I've been dilly-dallying on this report awaiting the feeds to return as the PoV comp started more than a couple of hours ago.
  • I'm running out of things to say that aren't repetitive.
  • Gee, it's a beautiful day here on the East Coast.
  • We don't know how the weather is at the BB house because they've been in indoor lockdown.
  • I'm really tired of this Jeff clips loop. I used to like the plain old theme music with trivia better. I could minimize it, nap and let the voices wake me up when the feeds came back on.
  • Now it's all voices.
  • And Bronte's squealing every ten minutes.
  • I really don't want to have a separate report just on the PoV winner.
  • I guess I'll stop rambling and quietly wait for the live feeds to come back on.
  • Are they on again yet?
  • No?
  • Okay, Paulie is wearing the PoV necklace!
  • PAULIE WON THE POWER OF VETO!
  • He has told both Tiffany and Frank that he plans to let Victor know just before the PoV ceremony that he'll be going on the block.

They look so comfortable ... for a toddler

BB18: Live Feeds into Saturday Morning - July 2

He won Road Kill and told everybody

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Boastful Boys:
  • The more I see of Victor, even sans Jozea, the more he annoys me. Despite his good looks, he's an obnoxious child who thinks he's all that. He wants to dictate what people do, what they eat, make them work out and derides anyone who's not in tip-top shape.
  • He's also not very bright and has no clue about the actual doings of Big Brother.
  • Paulie had nominated Bronte and Paul for eviction with a plan to backdoor Victor.
  • Victor came along, winning Road Kill. He blabbed it to the house and put Tiffany up as the Road Kill nominee.
  • Now, that doesn't really change Paulie's plan to backdoor Victor -- if one of the nominees come off the block, Victor should go up and get Evictored.
  • But ... Tiffany has been wearing on some folks in the house, herself. I don't find her as obnoxious as Victor because I guess I don't like his smugness more than I don't like her paranoia.
  • She's starting to show some of the worst traits of her sister -- paranoia, emotions, etc.
  • Both Frank and Da'Vonne would just as soon she get out of the house.
  • Hmm.
  • James had figured Victor would put him on the block because of their dust-ups.
  • But Frank and Da'Vonne both would like Tiffany out and flip Paulie into the 8-Pack. Hmm.
  • Victor might think he's in with them because he's doing their will.
  • But he ain't.
  • My personal opinion is that if they can get Victor out on a backdoor this week, they should. While he's obviously an idiot about the game, he could be a threat in physical comps. On the other hand, Tiffany isn't a strong player. The only real threat from her is her freaking out and possibly telling Bronte and Natalie stuff she shouldn't be telling. It probably would make the 8-Pack stronger to have Paulie in it rather than her. It should be fairly easy to get her out at any time, though.
  • I guess I just don't know what's best.
  • Of course, Tiffany cried ... again ... and more.
  • Paulie claims the target is still Victor. He says that he and Frank have worked to make Paul and Victor feel comfortable.
  • I feel this is going to be another long week.

Telling Tiffany she's safe

BB18: Live Feeds into Friday Evening - July 1

What? A prankless day?

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Funky Funsters:
  • BB woke them up early this morning.
  • Good.
  • And we spent most of the day with the live feeds blocked, first for the nominations, then apparently it was Road Kill time.
  • Last week we never saw the timing of the Road Kill comp because the schedule was all askew and the first few shows were taped.
  • But, judging on this timing, it's going to cram all the comps -- HoH, Road Kill, PoV all within a few days leaving comparatively extreme down times from Sunday to Thursday for them.
  • While the nominations were blocked to the live feeds, the results became known fairly quickly and were no surprise.
  • Paul and Bronte are on the block.
  • Victor is a back door plan.
  • Paul has no clue what a back door plan is. I doubt Victor knows.
  • Bronte doesn't think she's the target, but has had fun in the game if she is.
  • She's not. She's A target, but not THE target.
  • There was a murder in the house ... one of the fish ate another. Gee, I'm glad cats and dogs don't do that. It would be disgusting.
  • Gosh. With my feeds minimized to write this up, Tiffany sounds like Vanessa all over again. That voice is the SAME. I know two other sisters who sound that much alike.
  • I'm glad my voice doesn't sound like my brother's!
  • They were on an indoor lockdown as prep (Road Kill?) was done in the backyard.
  • Both Victor and Paul tried to chum it up with Paulie (to no avail).
  • Paulie can't believe that they had the gall to act like best buds to him when they actively campaigned to get him out of the house last week.
  • Welp, that's Big Brother for you.
  • Corey claims to be 6'5" -- I believe him. I always thought Frank was a tall guy and he's a good half-head taller than Frank.
  • Then you put them next to James.
  • Heehee.
  • Hmm ... in Road Kill (blocked to live feeds), it seems Victor won.
  • At least, that's the word on the street.
  • Both Frank and Corey congratulated him.
  • He says he's working with Paulie.
  • We'll see about that.
  • If he did win, he's stupid to be telling people. At least Frank only told the veterans and it remained secret from the rest of the house.
  • In a way, it won't matter if he did indeed win. The third nominee is chosen before PoV. Since it's secret, the Road Kill nominee can be put up on the block to replace a nominee. Road Kill isn't safe.
  • As I get this posted, I don't know who was nominated by Road Kill. When I know, you'll know.

At least it's not a beanie

"Whenever I was ..." It's WHEN, Frank!

Does he even KNOW about a back door?

Everybody's tired. It's been a day.

If I go home, I've had a good time.

BB18: Live Feeds Bulletin - Nominations are in - July 1

Nominations are in. Paulie has nominated Paul and Bronte for eviction. He has a backdoor plan to get Victor evictored ... er, evicted.

A full report on the day's house events will be posted later tonight. Stop on back!

BB18: Live Feeds Report into Friday - July 1

Will his social game save him?

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of From Zero to Hero:
  • Okay, not really hero.
  • But Paulie went from being on the block to winning HoH. It's kinda like that.
  • James threw the comp (as they had talked about previously) so that Paulie could win and Victor would be the target.
  • Paulie told Zakiyah that one of the people who voted to evict him would be going home this week.
  • Let's see ... that would be either Victor or Paul or Bronte or Natalie.
  • Victor told Frank and Paul that he wouldn't be surprised if he goes up on the block.
  • Well, duh. He shouldn't be after his Jozea Worship bit so far this season. Man, that guy picked the wrong horse in the race. Jozea's behavior should have turned anyone off from supporting him. In the end, Paul actually had conversations about Jozea going too far and Natalie wasn't entirely in his court. But Bronte and Victor were loyal to their chosen Messiah.
  • Cough.
  • Frank needs to watch himself a bit. Without Boogie to give him advice, he's straddling the line between both sides a bit too much. It's easy to fall off that tight wire.
  • Paulie told Nicole that he knows Bronte and Natalie voted to evict him even though he told them they wouldn't have enough votes to save Josea.
  • Paulie said his alliance needs to help decide nominations. But, no matter what, he wants Victor to go home.
  • Heehee. Bronte is in a panic. It doesn't take much to get her going. Hey, she made the wrong choice of who to support and now she might have to pay for it. Miss Math Girl should have seen the odds.
  • If the HoH decides who the Have Not (Team) is. James offered to go on slop just so Victor would be on it, hopefully weakening him for comps.
  • Since Victor is a health food nut, seeing him on slop should be good for a giggle or two, too.
  • But they're not sure the criteria for deciding who the Have Nots are for the week -- it could have something to do with the comp standings.
  • Paul is pretty sure he will be nominated.
  • Oh, that's quite possible. But he's not in as much danger of eviction right now as is Victor.
  • Newbie recruit Paul doesn't get the big HoH reveal ceremony doings.
  • I never could get excited about them, either. So, he may have a point there!
  • Bronte and Victor talked about Da'Vonne and Zakiyah flipping and how shocked they were.
  • Hey, those two didn't flip. They were just never with you in the first place, fools!
  • Paulie doesn't want James or Frank falling for the wiles of any of the girls.
  • Well, I doubt he's talking Nicole!
  • Of the Jozea bunch, only Paul knows his downfalls and is willing to talk about them -- even before last night. It makes me wonder why Paul ever hooked up with them in the first place. I think it comes from not knowing BB at all. He thought it was all newbies versus veterans and that's obviously not the main goal. It's winning friends and allies and influencing others.
  • Oh, yeah. Jozea influenced others ... to mock him and want him out!
  • James said that if Victor confronts him, he'll go ahead and tell him he threw the comp.
  • While Bronte panicked about not have a meat thermometer for their salmon, Bridgette lamented that everything they made had meat in it and she can't eat meat.
  • Victor told Paul he thinks they could do something like the Brigade. First off, neither saw that season. So they have no clue what it was other than four guys going to the end. Those four all had decent social games. 'Nuff said, kiddies.
  • Bridgette warns the guys of colon cancer risks if they put hot dogs in their rice.
  • Yep, she must be a bundle of fun when it comes to meals and snacking!
  • Paul tried bonding with Paulie and Corey.
  • I don't think it will work. Although Victor is the one Paulie wants out, Paul is his second choice.
  • Can't blame him there.
