The show has started here on the East Coast. This post will be updated with major news as it airs. Everyone is welcome to comment!
Jean-Robert, James, Todd, and Amanda won Reward -- a dinner in a Chinese village. They also got something to read when they get there, but we're in commercial.
It was the last clue to the hidden idol which only Jean-Robert didn't know about and is meaningless at this point.
Courtney won Immunity!
Jean-Robert voted out.
My review will be posted on TV Squad later tonight.
UPDATE - That review is up and running!

I don't understand why they all have kept Courtney in the game. I get she isn't a threat so to speak but she is absolutely useless in the competitions. Even if she is on a team, she contributes almost nothing. I wish her a PG could go home tonight.
The immunity challange is kinda reared toward the lighter contestants. Courtney hasn't moved since she has been on the barrel. Jeff is right she is like a statue.
The immunity challenge was tailor made for Courtney. The vote will be interesting.
Uh-oh, James! Say it isn't so!!!
I think you're onto something monty. I feel for James and "friends" I think sold him out. That's to bad, I really liked him.
Oh well it looks like James is going to be blindsided! He's so confident that he's not taking the idols!
James NEEDS to play an idol tonight!
JR reminds so much of Richard Hatch from season 1. Kinda snakey and irritating.
THank the good one above! He didn't hold his cards too close and it came back and bit him. I love it!
Woo hoo! James just made it! He'd better watch his back! Glad Jean-Robert is gone!
Oh thank goodness. James needs to start playing a little smarter. Everyone now knows he has both idols and unless he wins immunity they should be voting for him so he plays them. He needs to make sure he steps up, start making side deals and make sure you always bring your security to tribal council.
Jackie-
Have the spoilers so far been right on as far as who goes home? I read them when you had the link posted and I can't remember. By the way I love the kitty cat pictures. I have always been a cat person. My cat Chloe is the big baby of the family. She can be very entertaining at times and other times not so much.
Phew...I hope James keeps an ear to the rail from now on. He's no dummy, proved that when he got the second idol and didn't even think of giving one back to Todd.
So glad Jean Robert is gone! He sure thinks a lot of himself. He was ousted not for being a threat, but because he was just sooooooo annoying.
I would love to see Courtney go spend time with her favorite, JR.
Shout out to our lost blogger Joe in NY.
doin the happy dance about J-R,creepy guy from the get go...
Next week will be even more interesting. Denise was the lone vote for PG, so she will now know that the others are truly leaving her out of the loop. I see her flipping and making a deal with PG and company.
The rumors are that James and Courtney are in the next season of All-Stars filming now, so I would guess that neither of them win this season. Could it by Eric? Could it be Amanda? Could it by PG? Interesting. I started out liking Todd, but now I just want him gone. I'm rooting for Amanda or Eric to win it all.
JMO
Pickles - The spoilers had the finish places for Jean-Robert and Jaime flopflopped, but otherwise have gone right, I think.
Although I'm sure that James thinks he's being smart by holding onto two immunity idols, I think it will be his downfall. James wouldn't really know too much about the idols if not for Todd and by extension Amanda. He's going to dig his own grave (haha) by not giving one of them back to Todd. Things like that create very hard feelings between alliances. And it'll be easy for Todd and Amanda to garner the support to vote for James because everyone left knows he has both idols. So far James is playing a fabulous game with the exception of the idols.
But as for last night's results, I'm extremely pleased that J-R went home, as he was certainly the most annoying person this season. And although I'm not particularly fond of her, I'm glad Courteney won immunity because she took a lot of unnecessary abuse from J-R and she deserved a little boost.
James really had me worried last night when he didn't use one of his immunity idols. He should realize that he's a huge target - and not just from PG and crew, but from his own alliance also! He needs to fight like hell to win each individual immunity and if he doesn't win it, he better always take and play an immunity idol. He got lucky this week because Todd decided to switch up at the last minute, and I think he only switched up because he was miffed that JR came up with the same idea he had of blindsiding James. I agree that it was a mistake not to let Denise in on what was going on. They are going to have to do a lot of backpeddling to keep her on their side. As far as the immunity challenge, it does seem like it was tailor made for Courtney or perhaps Todd to win. The heavier people didn't stand a chance.
I think that Tod and co. made a huge mistake by mot voting out James when he was defenseless. James is the most physically dominant player of the season and with both HIIs and an alliance he's in a position to go as far as his brawn and brain (and HIIs) can take him. Last night James was so overconfident that all he had was his brawn (he left his brain back at camp with the HII plaques) On the other hand, no one likes Jean-Robert, so you can get rid of him at any time you choose or better yet take him to the final three as the sacrificial lamb. His only defense is his brain and he's not that smart - there are any number of smarter poker players out there, some with a smaller egos to abilities ration than Bellande.
Yes, I agree that they missed a golden opportunity to get rid of James, but I'm sure glad they did! Once James is gone, I'm going to find it very hard to find someone else to root for.
Jackie, I was out last night, so I taped Survivor and Gray's. Still haven't watched them but will be in a bit. Anyway, I did wind back to the Tribal Council and Courtney definitely said "Nah, screw you" as her eyes darted back and forth at the other survivors, when Jeff asked her if she wanted to give her immunity to anyone else.
I don't get why they keep her there. She's lousy at comps. From what I'm reading here, she only won this one because it was an easy one for her to win. She doesn't trust or seem to like anyone there. Then to insult them with "Screw you" at the council just amazes me. I sure hope she doesn't stay much longer. Plus the fact that her skeletal face and body creep me out.
So glad to hear Jean-Robert is gone! Sounds like he creeped out a lot of people besides me, too.
Loved your recap of Survivor. Still looking forward to watching it.
Well, to my VCR
