The Amazing Race - 11/02 Show
Oh my, the show is actually starting on time here tonight. That's two weeks in a row. They're spoiling us! While I won't be live-blogging tonight's show per se, I will update this post with important events. Later on tonight or early tomorrow morning, my review of tonight's episode will be up over on TV Squad.
Nick and Starr made it first to the Pit Stop, each won an electric car.
2. Kelly and Christy
3. Toni and Dallas
4. Terence and Sarah
5. Andrew and Dan
6. Ken and Tina -- Still in -- non-Philimination
They will encounter a speed bump in the next leg -- a task only they will have to do.

Back to blogging... donna in al and Laurie... I just tagged you. I'm telling you here in case you're not reading your comments on your individual blogs. Sydney tagged me and so goes it.
Go to my blog and it'll become clear!
Petals,
No, you are not alone in the disappointment area. Mr. Obama is not very popular in Texas, but he is our new president-elect. Like MEB said, we have to remember who is REALLY in charge & pray for our nation. Americans always seem to pull together and make it through. The Clinton era was not good for our state, but we survived it. This too shall pass!
You are all very wise people. I enjoy reading everyone's comments and different takes - isn't great that we can do this? I too am happy that my children are witnessing this as well - hopefully the challenge will bring us together.
Have a good night everyone - 'til Survivor... Karen in MD/DC
Jackie, hope all is well with you, and work isn't draining your energy! See everyone tomorrow for Survivor.
Where's Txrednekgirl? "Go Kenny!"
New season of The Bachelor with Jason Mesnick starts Jan. 5, and as of Jan. 12, it will be a regular 90 minute format.
One more note on the DeAnna/Jesse breakup. Chris Harrison, Bachelor host, has an article on Real TV World, giving his take on the story. He says DeAnna definitely has stardom on the brain. Cie le vie! (sp?)
Ok, since MEB and Laurie both have tagged me, I have tagged Jackie and ORKmommy.
My WV is hosts o u...guess that is you, Jackie!! hee hee
Oh Donna, you were double tagged? Sorry about that. I wasn't paying attention, was I?
At least with two tags, it made me take time to do it!!
where is jackie? is she ok?
I'm beginning to wonder about you too Jackie. Just pop in and let us know you're alright. You know how we worry when we don't hear from you.
Petals...add me to the list of those who are not very happy with this outcome. For the good of our country I certainly hope he proves me wrong...but I need to be convinced that he really meant everything he said and that he didn't just say what he did because he knew it would get him elected.
And sadly, this election showed that racism is alive and thriving in the USA. People voted both against him and for him simply because of his color and it's ashame that race once again became as or more important than the issues.
Let's just hope everyone on both sides of the issues learned some things from this election and that moving forward we can start working together.
Hi All, I keep checking in looking for some Jackie news.
meb, I think you have mentioned Criminal Minds before. I just watched the episode I recorded and it looks like next week will be extra good. And, there sure were alot of actors whose faces I recongized in this last one. November sweeps, I guess.
Funny thing on Oprah. Remember in the Chicago crowd scenes where she was leaning on a man's shoulder and crying for joy that Obama was elected. I heard her say that she didn't know him. Still doesn't know him. She just leaned on him in the crowd.
Sue
sue... love Criminal Minds. Last episode was really good. This was one of the few that had a good ending. But it looks like Spencer is about to divulge something he has had deeply hidden in his subconscious for years involving his dad.
I like his mother... not sure what her medical problem is that she is in a facility... She'll probably be in next week's episode too.
I sent Jackie an email on Tuesday and I have not heard back from her. Can Sydney call her? The worry wart side of me is worried.
Margo
Jackie posted on ClickClaque, Monday night at 10:30 about The Big Bang Theory. I haven't checked anywhere else yet.
If there is not a new post for Survivor, then we know there is definitely something wrong with Jackie and it is time for some real worry.
RJM
This was in my local paper (editorial page) and about sums it up for me.
My Thanks To The Bush Faithful
I would like to thank all those who voted Republican in 2000 and 2004 for making this year's Democratic victory possible. If it were not for your steadfast support of President Bush, Americans might still be buying what Republicans have been selling since 1980. Because of you, the age of trickle-down Reaganomics, neoconservatism, American imperialism and the dream of a permanent Republican majority are finally where even Joe the Plumber can't reach them. Unfortunately, so is America's economy and reputation, which will be a job for President Obama to bring back.
Bush voters, I feel your pain. I felt the same in five of the last nine elections. But today is different. As you wake to an unfamiliar dawn, you can go to right-wing rummage sales for out-of-date fashions at close-out prices or avoid the "Rush" and listen to the patriotic words of John McCain, who urged you to accept and support our new president. The choice is yours, but the gratitude is mine. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
