Well, it's time ... the big season finale night for Survivor Tocantins! At least we can all rest assured that Coach won't win. I doubt he'll win the $100,000 from viewers even. As the show airs here on the East Coast, I'll update this entry with major news. However, the real fun is in the comments. My hubby walked by when Eddie George came on and got all excited. He never watches reality shows (poor man) but says I should have told him about Eddie. When I said we only saw him twice all season, he just said, Oh, and left the room. He has no idea.
He actually looks less well with a shave and his weight back on.

I think he would be exactly that kind of partner, Sydney, the kind that at first seems attentive and after awhile feels like smothering. Plus, I doubt he can help but being the know-it-all and coaching all the time. That would get very old very fast!

On ebay, there is a link to the Serpentine Project, the charity that the Survivor auction is benefiting. The necklace appears on the top of their page, so I guess it has something to do with that. But I couldn't find the actual necklace in the auction.
I missed another party, but I really wanted to be surprised as I watched and not get ahead of myself.
Would have been fine with Taj, Stephen or JT winning, so OK with the end result. But, I really really wish the boys had honored their word and taken Taj to final three. That just p*ssed me off!
I wish they would make one big change for next season: I do not think the overall winner should be eligible for the 100K, as well. Let's spread the wealth around a bit. Didn't like it last year, and I don't like it this year.

mornin All from Sunny (LOL) London. I just had to check in and see who won. Can not wait to watch when I get home. It has been a fun season. I wish they had taken Taj to the final but life rarely turns out they way one expects.
I can not get any cash out of the ATM machines so I have to call my stupid bank today as no one answered on Sunday and get that strightened out. It is very frustrating because I called them before I left and told them I was going to London. Overseas phone calls are so cheap ya know.

Now that is an idea JMom. They could have a special edition of BB and have Coach, Kate Gosslin, Omarosa, who am I leaving out? Not sure what the title would be 'Misery Loves Company"? Do it My Way something with Obnoxious in the title? All the comps could be anger management lessons (I know someone who could lead the sessions) or 'how to talk instead of listening'.
Monday morning and I'm watching the last 90 minutes of the show from last night. I figure I can get through this in an hour.

I understand the feeling that the winner should not be eligible for the fan vote, but given that both the winner and the fan vote winner are revealed at the same show on the same night, how could the winner be excluded from eligibility without it being revealed who won before hand?
Isn't the fan vote open for a few days before the finale? So how would the winner be excluded from contention when the winner hasn't been revealed yet? I'm just wondering, so if anyone knows please clue me in.
I think the Fan Vote rules should be changed to acknowledge that if the million $ winner wins the fan vote, the $100,000 will go to the Survivor that came in second in the Fan Vote. I think that would be a good way to spread the money around a little bit.
I was surprised that Jeff did not give Sandy guff about what a pace is.
Also, I just read about Taj's life. Wow, she's been through alot, so while Survivor may have been tough, she's way tougher and has come through the other side amazingly well.
Ethan Zohn (winner-Survivor-Africa) has been diagnosed with a rare form of Hodgkins Disease as of April 30. He began chemo last Friday. He says his hair (those mophead locks) would fall out in about two weeks so he plans to shave his head. His girlfriend, Jenna Morasco says she will help him fight this. There's more on Reality TV World. I really like that guy.

Anon, what seems to make it a little better is to pause it for about 15 seconds or more and then hit play again. That choppiness does drive you crazy.
The Survivor Party was fantastic with 5 former survivors present and telling funny stories about their time on the show and what never makes it to TV. (Anyone realize how short Jeff is?? He tries very hard not to let you figure that out) Next time they promise to have more of the area "Survivors" attend and actually do a gathering that is a benefit for charity. Me? I love having a nice dinner, a cold drink and watching the shows on a big screen with them making comments during the commercials! We jeered when Taj was eliminated, cheered when Erin went and Really cheered when TJ Won. I had to go to work Monday, so I didn't stay through the whole reunion show, but it was fun!!
Sue Gee -- LOL to the kissing your brother comment. And I'm green with envy that you get to go watch the last show with past Survivors! How cool is that??!?!
Are there any stories that they told you that you can repeat here? What goes on behind the scenes on that show could be virtually anything... I'd believe almost anything, except if coach were telling you the stories.
And hmmm... I assume Jeff was the usual estimated 5'7 like Tom Cruise, Eddie Murphy, Sly Stallone, Taye Diggs, etc. But I never thought abotu it because I was so lost in his dimples. But now that you mention it, I have never seen him standing next to anyone so you could compare -- not at TC, not on the live show, not during challenges... think about it!
Dla, I know , I kept thinking maybe Tyson would look more like Owen Wilson with his weight back on and a shower, since his sassy and slick sense of himself seemed to imitate that golden stallion (lite, but you get my drift). Didn't come close!

Gaylos -- I'd think that the night of the live show they could have, as they did last night, the first, second and third runner up. Then they say JT won the votes first, as they did...
Because they announce the winner of the 100,000 after that, they could easily have bumped JT from the first place since they now know he won the game, and make whomever was in second place the winner of that money.
I mean, if it were written into the rules, no one could have a problem with it and the timing should allow it to be done easily.

Sydney - I have plenty of dirt to dish on what its like behind the scenes....Things like:
When Jeff says "I'll go tally the votes" he may not come back for an hour or more. They really stage how the votes are counted! And tribal council itself can go for hours. Jeff does all his own questioning, and really does stir things up sometimes.
Do you all realize that there was no natural foods growing in their camps this year? They had their fish to catch, but no coconuts or the like to harvest and eat on their own. They were dependent on the show.
Those pictures of the participants all standing in a happy group - they are not allowed to talk at all before they get split into the tribes with Jeff. Sometimes the orientation can last a couple days and you are not allowed to speak.
No one is also allowed to speak going to or from tribal council. They are officially allowed to talk only with cameras present.
SueGee, I always thought that they probably couldn't speak going to and from tribal council. Probably so there's no conniving on the way there and no kvetching on the way back. The start of most episodes seem to show them arriving back at camp and the conversations always seem to be about the votes or the blindsides or how glad they are to still be there as if it were the first time any of it were being talked about. Thanks for the inside info.
