Russell played the idol thinking he was saving himself. No need to, Amanda voted out 5 to 4 against Pavarti.

I still have a wait for the show. I also have a dilema.
Since I can't watch and/or record 3 programs at once, I have to make a choice. The Blazers/Phoenix game starts at 7:30. Then Survivor and Flash Forward at 8:00. I don't want to miss any of them. What's a girl to do??
I think Sandra plays a good game. Stays off the radar as much as she can and works her plans as she can. Worked for her before.

Amanda's absolutely right. She should have kept the clue. If Colby had backed her up, it would have been a different ending tonight. Danielle didn't have it in her hand.
Just saying hello in case the westcoasters just finished watching. What an amazing season! ANd Sandra went ahead and voted with her tribe anyway... but I guess without Candace, she knew she'd just put a target on her back with her tribe... and The Heroes will still always want her vote if she chooses to go with them. Poor RUPERT!! Poor Colby.
Wasn't that just like a guy... no offense intended. The guy is watching the movie and vegging out and the girls minds are going 100 miles a minute.
I agree about Pavarti and do watch very carefully how she acts in situations like Russell being pissed. I am amazed what having a ton of teeth can do to a guy.
I am so bummed, and disappointed in my pool boy Colby. He did not back up Amanda, why? And he was completely worthless when it came to reigning in Candace. In actuality Candace is exactly like she was in her season, a traitor.
I don't know anything about Danielle; I don't remember her from her season. I just don't like her. She looks like trailer trash with implants. (And fights like it too.) I kept saying to the tv earlier, why didn't Amanda just rip it open and read it out loud?
Since when does any decorum exist with regard to finding idols and clues or anything on Survivor for that matter? As much as I really wanted her to win, Amanda does often look like a deer caught in the headlights, literally. She just stood there and gave away her game.
The best part of the whole episode was the glimpse of fear on Parvati's face when she saw her name the second time. She is so arrogant, and that shot her down for a moment.
It should be fun to watch the villains all turn on each other next week. I hope Sandra, even though I did not like her previously, comes out standing on top, with her foot on a pile of the discarded villains haha. How telling was Russell's description of the villains' gameplay and individual strengths and then to say Sandra was just 'there' with them, like an afterthought? So no, Russell will never win, because he is so arrogant, so dismissive. Whatever billiant moments of gameplay he may have had are totally negated in the eyes of the jury. If it came down to Parvati and Russell, Parvati would win hands down. If it came down to any match, Russell wouldn't win, even against Jerri. Good for her winning immunity; that took skill, concentration and determination. She has definitely matured, not merely aged.

Bummer! It looked like either Russell or Parviti was going to be a goner there for a while. I couldn't believe it when I saw Candice flip. Does she really think the Troll is going to take her to the end?
I understand wanting to protect yourself in the game, and sooner or later it's strategic to flip, but to do it because you've been promised the final 3 by someone who hasn't proved to be trustworthy and is on the other side, is just plain dumb in my mind!
BTW, I watched Survivor and recorded Fast Forward. Then joined the game at half time. Blazers were down by 16 at one point, then brought it up to tie. Now they're back down by 6. :( If they loose this oen, they're out of the playoffs. DANG!!

Amanda's eyes have brightened tons since arriving at Ponderosa.
By the way, I don't think Russell used the idol because he thought he wasn't safe. I think it was mostly to make a show of power to his own tribe. He wanted to show his 'girls' that he, too, can play that game and beat them at it. Did you see the banter after the vote? Parvati chastised Russell for wasting an idol. Russell is being played by a woman, and he knows it.
