Thankfully not mine |
However, the brick building in the background is my apartment building.
After 10 nights and 9 days without power, I seem to be back. Hopefully my power will stay on. Right now outside it's snowing pretty good with more than a few inches on the ground and the wind is whipping.
I appreciate the good wishes from all!

Welcome back Jackie! You've been in my thoughts since the storm. You ended up getting what we were supposed to get. I live on the eastern shore of Maryland near Ocean City. We had lots of flooding in this area but not near the extent that your area had. Hopefully everything will get back to normal for you very soon.

WELCOME BACK!
You have been missed.
Yaaay!!! I'm so glad you have power again. May it stay on for years and years!!
More than anything I'm glad you are safe. <3
So glad you are back on and mostly you are safe! I just asked my GF, who works for the power company here if she could find out when you would get your back.
Hip Hip Hooray!!!
A HUGE welcome back Jackie.
We've all missed you!
You have power and heat. We have our Jackie back with her blog and nifty neato photos.
Life is good.
That's absolutely wonderful news! I can't imagine the challenges of going that long without power or heat. Fortunately, you're resourceful, had some emergency supplies, and have your own neck warmer named Vincent.
When Wilma came thru South Florida my neighborhood grid was destroyed cause my city is an old city. It was out from Oct. 24th to Nov. 20th.It was very hot & miserable but I couldn't imagine freezing cold! Be careful & safe!
Yay! I was so happy to hear the news last night!
Welcome Back Jackie!
Thanks. What a long strange trip it's been.
You might have gotten your power back on sooner if NJ electric utility company hadn't turned back the electrical workers from Alabama because they are non union. But NY benefited from their help anyway.
So happy to see you FINALLY got your power back. We have been hearing terrible stories here in SC about lack of getting help to those in need there. I know that was an ordeal and so glad you made it through with no bad lasting effects. Was with you in thought the whole time. Best to you and Vincent.
I am so glad that you and Vincent are safe!
Welcome back!
Welcome back!! I have been so worried about you and Vincent in your freezing apartment. So glad you survived. I hope you never have to experience this long a power outage again.
So good to know you and Vince are out of danger. It has been very worrying for all of us Jackie fans!! See you at Tribal....
Jackie, this is wonderful news. I for one can't wait to see your pictures Sunday. Maybe you could post some early. We really missed you, your blog and having a meeting place for our shows. Give Vincent a big hug from all of us.
Let me add to all the other comments that I missed your posts. Hopefully this latest storm has not affected you. Looking forward to your pictures. Glad you're back!!
Welcome back Jackie and Vincent!
Hi Jackie,
I've never posted here, but I read your blog regularly, and have always enjoyed you providing all the Survivor updates. I actually remember you from AOL. (gosh, am I dating myself?) You always do such a great job, thank you! I appreciate it!
I'm so happy to hear your safe and finally have your power and heat on. I was thinking about you, hoping you were okay. We don't realize how lucky we are to have just the basic things in life, and need to thankful for what we do have. I'm on the West Coast, in the Portland, Oregon area, and you won't hear me bitching about the weather here!
Again, thank you Jackie, you've been missed! Stay safe, dry and warm, and give Vincent a kiss.
God bless you!
Excellent! Was worried about you and yours....Am glad you are back to blog another day
Glad you are now safe. Hope you can watch all your shows on internet soon.
Survivor was great this week.
