The Amazing Race Blog Party - February 19, 2016
Ready to race from your couch? As the show airs here on the East Coast, I'll post the major happenings live. Refresh the page to get the latest! However, as it always is ... the real party is in the comments area. Please join in on the fun! (And bring tasty beverages and snacks!) I'm still a bit iffy on the team names, so please bear with me!
The Magnificent Margo (and Mom) have made the random picks for the blog pool and here they are ...

Jessica & Brittany- Donna in AL, Monty924
Marty & Hagan- Jackie, Willie J
Scott & Blair- Meb, Jennasmom
Kurt & Brodie- David, Ed in OH
Cameron & Darius- chrob61, PDXGranny
Amazing Race fans ready? Let's GO!
Teams are flying to Columbia ... a first for the show. Uh-oh. My blog pool pick team is on the last flight.
Roadblock - Who is a hot mess?
Teams must submerge themselves in a mud pool at a volcano site and retrieve a satchel with an emerald. Some of the satchels have other rocks or gems in them. Korey dropped his coming down the volcano and had to go back. Still, the teams on the first flight are all finishing the Roadblock before the last teams get there.
After they finish the Roadblock ...
Detour - Pop-Up has them building a shelter which needs to be approved by locals. Parilla -- cooking and serving a barbecue type meal. Heh. Tyler and Korey beat out alpha male team Kurt and Brodie in building the shelter. They're on the way to the Pit Stop. My poor blog pool gals are getting frantic stuck in last at the Roadblock.
For their Speed Bump, Scott and Blair must help local fishermen pull in a fist net and retrieve the catch.
Okay, Matt and Dana are the first ones to bicker.
Pit Stop --
1. Tyler and Korey - won a trip to St. Thomas
2. Kurt and Brodie
3. Burnie and Ashley
Uh-oh. Cameron and Darius missed finding their clue. They better get it together!
4. Dana and Matt
5. Joslyn and
6. Jessica and Brittany
7. Zach and Rachel
8. Sheri and Cole
9. Scott and Blair
The brothers pass Hagan and Marty who were running because they let their cab go.
10. Cameron and Darius
11. Marty and Hagan, Philiminated in tears.
There goes my blog pool random pick. Now I'm on my own!

Weather's nice here, so I'm jumping in the pool early!!!
Howdy Jackie, Vincent and all that came to party! Brought some yummy fried chicken from a local place - not a chain!! Sides of fries and a big tossed salad
SueGee on the LeftCoast
Hi Jackie, Sharon and SueGee!!
60 minutes tonight Jackie :o)
Hey peoples!
Thank you, Sue. I figured that. ;-)
Hi Monty! Hi Sharon!
Hi everyone!
I decided to pop in for a few laps before the shows starts here in an hour. :)
Weather got up into the 60's here today. Felt like a heat wave. :)))
I'm leaving on a jet plane for Iowa tomorrow morning. We have had 70's all week until today. It is warm for Iowa in Feb - but I still think I will be cold.
Hey Jackie, Sharon SueFMonty. Sue, I brought chocolate cake for dessert. I don't think I will be staying long, it was a very tiring day.
Thanks Becky! Chocolate cake is always good!
It will be close to 70* tomorrow. Hopefully Iowa won't be too chilly :))
Yummy cake, Becky!
Hello everyone. =)
The cake was for desert? Whooops. But it is yummy.
Thank you, Monty. ( (fingers crossed) baked it this morning. Okay, okay, my speciality is Mrs. Smith's Deep Dish Apple pie. Which, I will add won a bakie contest that I did not enter in the contest. I took it, but told the minister's wife what it was and it wasn't to be judge. She laughed and, unknown to me, and it won first place!
Becky try the Claim Jumper pies. Much better than Mrs Smith's LOL Might win you a blue ribbon!
Hi David. That pie sounds good too, Becky. I always make Mrs. Smith's pies and the Deep Dish Apple is awesome.
I really like the brothers. They're going to be the hard luck team this season.
My favorite is apple crisp. Will have to make some for my son when I'm in Iowa.
Nasty dirty challange. Poor girls. First a horrible cab and now this. I hope the stone the first guy dropped is not thelast one.
I like any kind of apple pie, LOL. My favorite pie is cherry but apple is a close second.
I love that pie, Becky!
David, try to have to confess to a room for of Baptist that the award winning dessert was not from scratch! They still laugh about it.
LOL Becky. I prefer cobblers myself, less dough. Blueberry and Black berry.
Looks like I have a good team this round! Go Tyler & Korey!!
I want a free trip to St. Thomas, or free trip to just about anywhere. lol
I'd take a free trip to somewhere really warm and green
Yay, 5th place right now.
My blog pick team is vying for last and I think I'd rather the other team stay in the race.
I am surprised the last two guys didn't build. Jackie, the judges did too. So did Mrs. Smith when I wrote them about it.
That's my hope, Jackie. I just like the brothers so far.
Dang UPS. Had to go get a package delivered to my neighbor that was mine. Must be a new driver or didn't want to drive the 1/4 mile more down the road.
That's so funny, Becky. Did they send you coupons? They should have :))
Come on guys
Oh, no, they are losing because of no cab! Watch and learn
Man, that was sad right there. I feel bad for Mom and Daughter but I'm happy for the brothers.
Welp, my blog pool team is first out! It just shows you how much influence I have here!
Oh, yes, Monty. They sent tons of coupons. They also featured me in their annual report. They were going to have a campaign "When they will think you did it!"
Hope to see you all next week!!
Tough way to be first out.
Thanks Jackie =)
Everyone have a great weekend. (sneaks off with some chicken and a slice of cake)
I'd rather the brothers stay in. They seem like nice guys who should have a chance even if they didn't show it tonight. I think Hagan and Marty would have been out early no matter what.
Jackie, thank you for hosting. I had planned on skipping the show. Glad I didn't. I have a ball on your blogs -- even though I drop off topic from time to time.
Becky, that is so funny and so awesome, LOL! Thanks to everyone for the fun hour tonight.
Jackie, great job as always and everyone have a great weekend. See you all on Wednesday. Safe travels, SueGee!
Thanks for coming by, everybody!
