Survivor 41: October 6 Episode Blog Party

Good evening! I hope everyone is doing well. Let's start off with a trivia fact about this season -- you know how they usually go months without knowing the vote? This season they do know. They aren't telling but they do know. Due to Covid they were wary of trying for a live finale reunion show and actually finished up where they were. However, if you see any spoilers, please don't spoil it for the rest of us!

Lifeguard Laurie has updated the blog pool and here is where we stand:

LUVU TRIBE BLUE

Deshawn Radden - Kelsey NY, PDX Granny, Jlaf
Erika Casupanan - Petals, Pam Arceneaux, Margo
Heather Aldret - Debbie, Joanne Victoria
Naseer Muttalif - CherryPie, Tammy M
Sydney Segal - Joyce Erickson, Laurie

UA TRIBE GREEN
Brad Reese - Marlo L, Glenn Allen, Shannon
Genie Chen - SueGee, Laura in GA, Bren
Jairus Robinson - Sydney, Brandi

Liana Wallace - Terry is a Texan, ChicMC

Xander Hastings - Donna in FL, April

OUT

I'll be live-blogging and updating this entry with the major happenings as the show airs here on the East Coast. Refresh the page to get the latest news! As always, the real party is in the comments area -- please feel free to join in on the fun!

Things look a bit rough on Yase. Oh my, Tiffany found an advantage in the night vision lens. She had to share with Liana and Evvie as they saw her. She, like others before her, has to go off on a boat.

On Ua, it's daytime. Brad is a bit ticked as there are four tribemates sitting around laughing when they should be doing chores. He starts doing chores alone when he finds a similar advantage note telling him to sneak onto a boat.

On Luvu it's the night cam again but then the dawn arrives. Naseer thinks Sydney is playing a double agent game. Sydney thinks Naseer is erratic and could ruin all their games. Uh-oh. She sees the note near the fire. And, she goes for it. She's scared but doesn't want to lose her vote and the note header says "Beware."

JD is really searching around for an idol. He does have the extra vote from his previous boat trip. He thinks Ricard might have it ... or Shan. Maybe Genie? Brad never leaves the shelter. Heh. Ohh ... Genie and Brad found the second of the three team idol -- the one with the secret phrase and all three must say it. They (he) cannot vote at the tribal until all three parts are found. It gives all three phrases and he remembers Xander saying the butterfly phrase. He runs and tells Shan about it to prove his trust. He shows her both advantages and tells her he has to get on the boat.

Brad dummies up his bed like a kid sneaking out the window from home. And he's off! On Yase, Tiffany meets her boat. Tiffany arrives. All three are walking by torchlight. They have a choice between tarp or steal a vote. All players choose tarp, they all get one. If they all choose steal a vote, they all lose the next vote. If a split vote, they could lose the tarp. Sydney wants tarp. Tiffany wants steal a vote. Brad steals a vote. Sydney is worried and wants to play it safe. They don't show Tiffany.

Tree Mail time - Luvu no tarp. Brad got the steal a vote. Tiffany and Sydney went for the tarp and got nothing.

Immunity Challenge time! Genie says they have no rice. Brad drops his phrase and Xander replies back with his. No third phrase. One at a time rope bridge over water, dig for five separate sandbags, throw at corresponding targets. Also win fruit -- large tray to first place, smaller for second. Again, two tribes safe this week.

LUVU wins first immunity, YASE second! Ua goes to Tribal tonight!

Brad is worried because he can't use the steal a vote and he has lost his vote. JD gets his extra vote he took on his trip. Shan saw it sticking out of his shorts, now can't trust him Ricard thinks both Brad and JD are sneaky. He thinks Shan needs to make up her mind. In order to gain trust, JD hands Shan his advantage. She feels torn, like she did when she was five and had to choose which parent to live with. Will she go for JD or Brad? Hmm.

Tribal Council. Jeff asks his Probsting questions. He asks Ricard about alliance or tribe strength. He says alliance. Genie is worried. Brad champions trust. JD thinks he has lost trust. JD tells the tale of how the show made him into the man he is today.

JD votes Brad. Brad can't vote (or he would vote JD).

The tally -- Brad, JD, Brad, Brad ... three is enough. Bye, Brad.

Does this mean the three part idol will never come to fruition? Or do they just re-hide it for someone else to find?

Survivor 41: Season Premiere Blog Party

Are y'all ready? Tonight's show is two hours (leading into Big Brother). Since it is so long and I will probably have a lot to write about, the blog pool match-ups as well as images/names of the new castaways are at THIS LINKED POST. That post can be used as a cheat sheet until we get used to the names!

I will try to keep updating the best I can through tonight's show as it airs here on the East Coast -- it's always hard until I get the names down and I won't really have the luxury of checking out my own cast cheat sheet while updating! Refresh this page to get the latest news. As always, the real party is in the comments area. Please feel free to join in on the fun!

It sounds like we're in for some changes according to Jeff. And, I'm not just talking the 26 instead of 39. They're running clips of the new castaways. Tiffany was an alternate. Except for her, all the others were in a holding pattern during the pandemic. The tribes are being boated to a barge already wearing the color buffs. Naseer learned English by watching Survivor from season 21 on.

Jeff asks them if calling them all "guys" is okay. No one objects. I don't object either. As long as he doesn't call them all "dudes." He tells them it's a shorter season, very meager supplies -- one machete, one flint, no rice. Gameplay has never been more dangerous.

They have to find their color-coded six paddles, get in tribe boat, go retrieve flint. Only one tribe gets the machete and flint. The others get nothing. Yase (yellow) can't even find their paddles! Ua (green) pulled out in front of Luvu (blue) who didn't release one of their anchors. Oops! Ua wins the machete and flint!

Ua is pulling together nicely. Jairus, one of the child castaways (born 2001) even made fire. Yase has to choose between two tasks. If they complete one they can earn supplies. The physical challenge has them filling barrels with ocean water, only two in there. David who wanted the savvy challenge (solving a triangle riddle) rather than sweat got drafted. He's not happy. On Luvu, they also go for the water hauling.

Genie has been married to her wife for 25 years. Ricard is married to his transgender pregnant husband and they have a daughter. On Luvu, Danny and Deshawn carry the water AND search for idols! Uh-oh ... Naseer sees them and tells the others! Nothing like putting targets on their backs on the first day!

Liana and Evvie are bonding. Yase's Abraham is already pointing out what he perceives as weaknesses on his tribe. Heck, they were ALL weak if they missed that paddle!

Jairus is called JD. He is working with Brad already. JD seems to be rubbing many the wrong way and Ricard and the women already have him on their radar.

Both tribes finished the water challenge. One of the women tell Danny and Deshawn that Naseer told them they were looking for idols so now they decide that Naseer needs to go first.

Luvu has a visitor which needs one of them to go with him. Danny volunteers. Xander goes for Yase. JD pulls rocks with his tribe and ends up getting the odd rock.

The three see a sign telling them to go to the summit and get to know each other. JD tells us he was picked on while growing up. His Survivor "heroes" like Ozzy and Woo gave him inspiration.

At the top of the summit, a sign directs them to separate and make a decision. They can protect their vote, risk their vote. If all choose the first all stays the same. Risk has them risk to get an extra vote. Danny wants Protect. It doesn't show what the other two decided.

Danny tells his tribe the truth. Xander risked it and told his tribe. He said he did it for the team. JD tells them he protected his vote. They all think he's lying.

First Immunity Challenge is at hand. The game must be afoot. Ricard brings up that he doesn't like "guys." Jeff is happy. He won't say it again. He tells them of a new twist at Tribal. Shot in the Dark. Don't vote, reach in for a 1 in 6 shot for safety in the voting booth.

Over and under obstacles to sled, load puzzle pieces, clear track, pull up track and two members solve puzzle. Two losing tribes go to Tribal, two going home. Both losing tribes lose their flint.

LUVU wins Immunity! Ua and Yase have to give Jeff their flints.

Tiffany and Liana want to target Abraham while Abraham wants David and Xander to target Tiffany. They bring in Evvie who acts like she agrees. Evvie works on David to switch the target to Abraham. Tiffany knows her name is out there. She goes looking for an idol. Jeff shows us where he hid it and she goes right by it.

Sara is crying on her tribe. Ricard is pushing for JD to go. He talks to the others and they all seem to be on board. Brad comes along and says JD is strong and the weak players are Shantel and Sara.

Yase and Ua head off to Tribal Council to face Jeff's Probsting questions. First up is Yase. In answer Abraham talks about moving on with the strengths. Tiffany says he talks around in circles. Jeff starts asking and talking about the Shot in the Dark. Xander collects his extra vote at the booth.

Jeff goes to tally the votes. Tiffany, Abraham, Abraham, Abraham, Abraham. That's four, enough. Abraham is the first out. He didn't see it coming at all but it's all his fault.

Ua goes in. Jeff congratulates them on the first win they had from the vote. JD again says he protected his vote. Hmm. Jeff brings up to Sara about the puzzle piece she accidentally left in the bag which cost them the challenge. Uh-oh ... whispering while JD is talking. Sara and Shan were the names out there. Whoa! Ricard just whispered to JD to vote Brad! They all bring their dice for Shot in the Dark. YES! JD was lying! He has the extra vote!

Jeff tallies the votes. Ricard, Sara, Brad, Sara, Sara. Sara is voted out.

Survivor 41: Blog Pool Opens! Plus Cast Info!

Survivor 41 premieres next Wednesday, September 22, with a two-hour show starting at 8PM ET/PT. Yes, BB23 is pushed back to 10PM ET/PT that night and its finale is the next Wednesday, September 29th.

The Lovely Lifeguard Laurie has once again graciously offered to run the blog pool for the show. She, but of course, rocks!

I want in! What do I do?

If you want in to the blog pool, you need to sign up in the comments of this post and this post only! Please don't try signing up on any other posts -- we might miss your comment.

Is there money involved in this?

Of course not! You needn't pay anything to get into the pool. You don't need to buy a pool pass or anything! Mind you, you don't win any money either. What you do win is bragging rights until the next season and the smugness that goes with it.

How does it work?

Lifeguard Laurie makes random picks for the castaways and the blog folks. You cheer on that castaway all season until they either win or get their torch snuffed along the way.

When is the cut-off for entering?

All pool requests must be in comments to this here post ONLY and submitted by Tuesday, September 21, 3pm ET. Be there or be square.

So ... who are these castaways? We have three tribes.

YASE TRIBE

Top row, left to right: Tiffany Seely, age 47, teacher, Plainview, NY - Liana Wallace, age 20, college student, Washington, D.C. - David Voce, age 34, neurosurgeon, Chicago, IL.
Bottom row, left to right: Evvie Jagoda, age 28, PhD student, Arlington, MA - Xander Hastings, age 20, app developer, Chicago, IL - Eric Abraham, age 50, cyber security analyst, San Antonio, TX.

Ua Tribe

Top row, left to right: Shantel Smith, age 34, pastor, Washington, D.C. - Sara Wilson, age 23, healthcare consultant, Boston, MA - Ricard
Foyé, age 31, flight attendant, Sedrow-Woolley, MA.
Bottom row, left to right: Genie Chen, age 46, grocery clerk, Portland, OR - Jairus Robinson, age 20, college student, Oklahoma City, OK - Brad Reese, age 49, rancher, Shawnee, WY.

Luvu Tribe

Top row, left to right: Erika Casupanan, age 31, communications manager, Toronto, Ontario - Danny McCray, age 33, ex-NFL player, Frisco, TX - Naseer Muttalif, age 36, sales manager, Morgan Hill, CA.
Bottom row, left to right: Deshawn Radden, age 26, medical student, Miami, FL - Sydney Segal, age 25, law student, Brooklyn, NY - Heather Aldret, age 52, stay at home Mom, Charleston, SC.

Interesting cast. More age diversity than some seasons -- we have a couple of people under 21 and five late 40s-52. We also have a castaway from Canada in there.

Survivor Island of the Idols - October 2 Blog Party

Please be warned that I'm still a bit rough with both the tendonitis and knowing who's whom on the show! Despite those factors, I will do my best to update this entry with the major happenings as they air on the show here on the East Coast. Refresh the page to get the latest news! As always, the real party is in the comments area -- please feel free to join in on the fun!

As per our usual custom, Lifeguard Laurie was diligent in reassigning those pool people who had the unfortunate luck to draw the first booted castaway (Ronnie). Here's the updated blog pool --

Lairo
Aaron Meredith - Auntie Leigh
Chelsea Walker  - Big winner Brian, Margo
Dean Kowalski - CherryPie, Merrilee
Elaine Stott - Cheryl in NC
Elizabeth Beisel - CherylNY, monty 924
Karishma Patel - Ed in Ohio, SueGee
Missy Byrd - Janice, TS14Fan
Tom Laidlaw - Judi Sweeney, Laurie
Vince Moua - Kelsey NY, MikesGirl

Vokai
Dan Spilo - Bizaro22, marthalight
Jack Nichting - David, jennifer
Jamal Shipman - Donna in Alabama, Petals
Janet Carbin - Donna NY, Sharon C
Jason Linden - Dr_Celine, Nickelpeed
Kellee Kim - Glenn Allen
Lauren Beck - Jackie, Sharon N
Molly Byman - Jenna G, tbc
Noura Salman - Jennasmom

Tommy Sheehan - Karen in CA, Terry is a Texan

Survivor fans ready?

Uh-oh. Noura is alienating her fellow tribe members. She's just a tad controlling. She would do well to just be a bit quiet. Molly herself has issues but Noura is outshining them. Dan wants to work with Noura but she's not making things easy to do so.

Lairo had fire problems until Chelsea stepped in. She thinks the women on the tribe can do anything the guys can do but better. Ah. a woman just found the first idol of the season! That was Chelsea.

A boat is arriving at Vokia. Kellee has to head to the Island of the Idols.

Sandra and Rob greet her. We get the same spiel they gave last week. It seems like they're giving her rapid-fire statements about their lives. Apparently they're going to test her to see if she was listening … important skills to build relationships and bonds. She can be tested and, like the one last week, can win an idol good for the next two tribals or lose a vote. Like last week, she named one person on the other tribe to go next time.

She wins a sweetened deal of three idols for three questions right. She returns to camp and tells a three urns story, while crying. She had the idol in her hair when she offered to let the others search her bags for any idols and saying she lost.

Immunity time. Reward is spices. Lauren sits out. Swim out to release ladder. Move ladder, lift up to have one person retrieve bag. land three balls in three targets.

LAIRO wins immunity!

It looks like the two likely targets will be Noura or Jason. Of course that will be subject to change.

Noura knows she's a target so she tries to convince others to keep her. Now they're talking a split between her and Jason because they think he might have an idol. Oh my. Now the other girls are talking Molly. They think she has too much power in the game. It's cool kids versus nerds kind of mentality going on.

Tribal Council time! Jason feels he's on the outs because they all thought he was off looking for an idol. He tells them he doesn't have an idol and they're free to search his bags. Noura thinks she's always been on the outside and even more so in the game.

No one plays an idol

The tally:
Jason, Noura, Molly, Jason, Molly, Molly. Molly, Molly

The "nerds and misfits" did it. Molly was voted out in a blindside.

Survivor 38: Meet the Manu Tribe

But first … if you want in on the blog pool for the show, you need to sign up on THIS POST LINK. The deadline is Tuesday 12pm ET. Be there or be square!

MANU --

The two returning castaways for this tribe are David Wright and Kelley Wentworth. She's 31 years old now, he's 44.

Here come the newbies …

https://www.cbs.com/shows/survivor/cast/216069/
Chris Underwood --
He's 25, originally from Myrtle Beach SC and currently living in Greenville SC. He's a district sales manager. He claims to be into anything outdoors, a good quality for the show. He seems to be a go-getter type in view of his work. Another point in his favor is he knows how to use a speargun and likes scuba diving. He believes he has some of the qualities of Ozzy, Malcolm, Rob and Spencer. Let's see if he can walk the walk.

Dan "The Wardog" DaSilva --
He's 38. He currently resides in Los Angeles, but is originally from Ossining NY -- the home of the infamous Sing Sing Prison! He's formerly military, apparently many years in it. Right now he's a law student. He claims he'll play like himself but mentioned admiring Yul, Parvati, Mike, Earl and even Tyson. Um, unless he was joking about have a sex appeal not seen in a good decade, he might just think he's too sexy for his shirt.

https://www.cbs.com/shows/survivor/cast/216075/
Keith Sowell --
At 19, he's the baby of the bunch. He's originally from Fayetteville NC and now lives in Durham NC. He's a pre-med student at Duke University. Oh my. This kid has it together. From a poor family growing up in a trailer, he became his class salutatorian. He seems to have very good values and strong religious beliefs. He admires Jeremy Collins as a previous player. Kid seems to have his head on right. Now let's see if he can endure the outdoors and backstabbing!

 Lauren O'Connell --
Age 21. She's originally from Bakersfield CA and now lives in Waco TX. Attending Baylor University with dreams of paying for dental school with her winnings. Like Keith above, she wishes she could bring her bible. She's a soccer athlete and has played team sports most of her life. Keep in mind, they didn't know the returning players when writing the bios -- she would like her game to be a mix of Parvati and Kelley Wentworth. This should be interesting!

https://www.cbs.com/shows/survivor/cast/216077/
Reem Daly --
Age 46, she's originally from Fairfax VA and now lives in Ashburn VA. She's in sales. Her CBS bio is one of the least wordy I've ever seen. She's been watching the show since its debut. Being on the show is part of her bucket list. She thinks she will play most like Stephenie LaGrossa (why are they all spelling her name with an "a"?) because she didn't give up and Rudy because he really didn't care. My jury's out on her.

Rick Devens --
Age 33, he hails from Blacksburg VA and now lives in Macon GA. He's a morning news anchor. Well, that's different! His choices for life inspiration are quite different -- his father (like many) but then he names Stephen Colbert and Stephen King. Like me, he's a big THE STAND fan. He thinks he'll play most like Cochran, not a bad thing. He's been watching the show since high school and was an Eagle Scout.

Wendy Diaz --
She's 25, originally from Los Angeles, now living in Bell CA. I have no clue where that is. She's a small business owner, not shabby at 25! She thinks she'll play the game like Sandra and be the second Diaz to win. However, she also thinks she's like Tai, full of life and wonderment. She hates quitters. She thinks the show will be a good challenge for herself plus there's the money. She grew up poor and is content with her earnings now, but …!

If you didn't see the post on the Kama Tribe, you can find it at this link.

Survivor 38: Meet the Kama Tribe

KAMA -- The returning castaways Joe Anglim and Aubry Bracco. He's 29 now; she's 32. Will the third time be a charm for either of them?

Aurora McCreary --
Age 32, from Pensacola FL, now residing in Orlando, FL. She's a divorce lawyer. From her CBS bio (linked in name), I see that she is indeed outdoorsy and athletic, plus it doesn't seem like she's had an easy life. She is a fan who would like to play with selected qualities from Tyson, Ciera and Michaela. Definitely could be a contender, methinks.

Eric Hafemann --
Age 34, from Chicago but now living in Livermore, CA. Ooohhh … a firefighter. I wonder if he can make and tend fires without feeling the need to put them out? Heh. In reading his bio, I can't help but thing "what a nice guy." Then he says his game will be most like Tony Viachos. Perhaps not as sneaky, but on top of things. He has an autistic son. He's playing for the adventure and to set an example. Hmm.

Gavin Whitson --
Age 23. From and still in Erwin, TN. He's a YMCA program director. Compared to the previous two, he seems very young. He's into Xbox and Disneyworld. Recently engaged, he also considers himself sarcastic, hungry and a dreamer. He's hungry now? Wait a week on the island! He wants to prove to his mother that he won't be the first voted out. My prediction (just based on the bio) is third out.

Julia Carter --
Age 24, from Hazleton, PA now living in Bethesda. MD. She's a medical assistant. She likes to travel, shop and eat. Um, girl, you're going on Survivor. Yeah, you'll travel to there and back, but …! She's been a fan since childhood and has dreamed of making it on the show. She THINKS she'll play most like Jeremy. Oh my. We'll see about that!

Julie Rosenberg --
Age 46, originally from Baltimore now living in New York City. She's a toymaker -- which brings me to thoughts of the movie Big. Can she dance on a giant keyboard? Since she and Julia are both on the same tribe, I'm glad there's an age difference. Reading her bio, I like her. She's been a fan since the first episode. And, her "play like" is a bit more realistic -- a mix of Cirie, Dawn and Stephenie.

Ron Clark --
Age 46, from Chocowinity, NC now residing in Atlanta. He's a teacher at the Ron Clark Academy. Founder, as well. He has been a show fan since Borneo so he knows what he's getting himself into. Hmm … he sees himself as a sore loser and a "mean girl." Oy! He thinks his gameplay will be akin to Spencer Bledsoe. Reading his bio, it seems like he wants to come across as sincere, but I'm getting a bit of chip on the shoulder. We'll see.

Victoria Baamonde --
Age 23, from and still residing in The Bronx. She's a waitress who was the valedictorian on her college class. Um, okay. She's smart but obviously didn't major in waitressing. That's a lot of student loans for a job she could have had without it! She says she brings up the valedictorian bit as often as she can. How to win friends and influence people? One cute thing is that she named her guinea pig Peeve -- pet peeve! She thinks she can relate to Malcolm. Yeah, I see that … no.

All of the castaways are in the superfan or really big fan category. This should be interesting. What do you think of them?

Just a reminder -- the blog pool sign up ENDS on Tuesday. To be in the pool, you need to submit your name in the comments of the sign up post

My post for the Manu Tribe is at this link.

Survivor: David vs. Goliath - Jeff Probst Cast Assessments

Yes! It's almost here! The season premiere is Wednesday at 8pm ET/PT leading into the season finale of the best Big Brother seasons in years!

Entries into the blog pool will close tomorrow (Tuesday) at noon PT or 3pm ET. If you haven't signed up yet and wish to do so, please sign up only on THIS LINKED POST. Requests on this post you're presently reading or others might not be noticed.

As for this season's cast -- on a personal note I find it very interesting that Jeff Probst is mentioning one castaway as the impetus for this season's theme. Pat Cusack. No, I don't know the man. But, dang. He's from Watervliet, NY. That's family stomping grounds for me. You don't see many folks from Watervliet out and about outside of that area. My father worked for years at the Adirondack Steel Casting Company in Watervliet. Many relatives worked at the Watervliet Arsenal. I believe both are long gone these days. My still favorite fast food place ever in my life started in Watervliet -- Ted's Fish Fry. They remain there and in several locations around that area. Unfortunately, there are no Ted's Fish Fry locations where I live now.

Onto Jeff's cast assessment videos --

Survivor fans ready?

The graveyard for bad decisions. The new bunch have to find the idols and other things to survive the mistakes of the past. Jeff tells them that one bad decision can haunt them forever. They will have the chance to reverse the curse of a previous bad decision. Right decision at the right time.

They must select one person to represent their tribe. Malolo -- chose Brendan. Naviti chose Chris.

Must pick the person best to do the physical part -- Michael and Lairel for Malolo. Sebastion and Desiree for Naviti.

Dig up keys, solve puzzle.

Less rice than any previous season, will have fishing kit. Winning tribe gets a shelter building kit, loser has fishing gear taken away. If the leader thinks the puzzle person isn't going to make it they can forfeit giving up eggs and flint.

Naviti forfeited. They keep their fishing gear. Malolo gets the shelter. Did Chris blow his game by calling the forfeit?

I realize I'm being quiet. They're all introducing themselves to each other as they get shelters together. Chris and Sebastian have bonded early as have Dohnathan and Laurel on the other tribe. Domenick, I think it is, has already rubbed people the wrong way with his construction direction -- Sebastian and Chris have him in their sights.

Jacob, worried that he'll be a target, makes himself a target by going off to search for an idol.

When Dom hears that Sebastian mentioned his name as a possible target, he automatically assumed it had something to do with Chris. Y'see, when Jeff asked the tribe at the challenge if Chris made a mistake by forfeiting it, Dom was the only one who said he did.

Time for the first Immunity Challenge -- racing over a net bridge, loosen ropes, pull sled, puzzle. Ghost Island is in play. Someone from the losing tribe will be sent there.

NAVITI wins Immunity! Plus they get a flint. Naviti gets to choose who from Malolo to Ghost Island -- they choose Jacob. He is also immune from being voted out at the first Tribal.

Jacob is at Ghost Island. Many original Survivor relics. He gets a clue to follow the fire. Game of Chance - a secret advantage or lose your vote. He gets a secret advantage -- Legacy Advamtage. Sierra made an error with it. Jacob can restore the power by willing it to a person on the other side. He tells us he will will it to Morgan and reverse the curse.

Dhonathan wants Gonzalez out and vice versa.

First Tribal Council. Time for Jeff and his Probsting questions to get them riled up. Hmm. Gonzalez gets up and whispers to one guy and whispers all around. Dhonathan isn't whispering and seems sure he's the target.

The tally:
Dhon, Gonzalez, Gonzalez, Gonzalez, Gonzalez, Gonzalez ...

Gonzalez is the first person voted out! Good. She was pushy and arrogant. She might be physically stronger than Dhonathan, but I like their decision.

Meanwhile, Dom goes looking for an idol in the dark. And ... he finds one! It's the idol Andrea was voted out with in her pocket. Can he reverse the curse?

Morgan received the Legacy Idol. She knows Sierra blew it by talking. Jacob makes a fake idol and hopes it can pass it off as found on Ghost Island.

Jacob returns to his tribe. He's surprised that Gonzalez is gone. He shows them his fake idol. He tells them he will play it at the next Tribal no matter what because he doesn't want to be "Idol Guy." He thinks they believe him. They don't -- they think they'll play along with him and vote him out. They aren't really sure, though.

Dom tried to make amends with Chris, but is leery. Dom decides to make a fake idol and put it with the note to get Chris's trust. He even promises to give him the (fake) idol if he needs it. Now Chris is leery and doesn't trust him.

Ohh .. no Reward Challenges. It's the Immunity Challenge. Water and shooting baskets. Reward is chairs, pillows, blankets and sending a loser tribe person to Ghost Island. Angela sits out.

James can't go under enough to release buoys. Dhonathan just sat there. Now he's trying. He got them!

NAVITI wins their second Immunity. They send Dhonathan to Ghost Island.

Dhonathan is on the island. He got a dud message smashing his urn. Back at camp, James tells them the loss is on him. But, of course, they still want Jacob out. Stephanie works on Jacob. What a fool! He trusts her and tells her the idol isn't real, plus he tells her the Legacy Advantage went to Morgan. Fool. He deserves to go home. Now she wants to work with him. Hmm. Jacob told her that he wants to target Michael. Hmm. Now they're talking flipping the vote. But Michael and Brendan are worried there might be a flip.

Tribal Council Number Two for the night. More whispering.

The tally:
Michael, James, Jacob, James, Jacob, Jacob, Jacob.

Jacob is gone.

Whoa -- drop your buffs next week?!?!
