Big Brother 17: Live Feeds Overnight into Thursday - July 16

I liked him better before I knew him

Ah, it's the dawn of eviction day in the hamster house today. That always brings new life to the live feeds! Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Not So Jazzy Jeff:
  • Austin told James he should campaign more as Jeff is definitely campaigning.
  • James claims he doesn't want to throw Jeff under the bus, but he's heard Jeff has been doing that to him.
  • Initially, James and Jeff were close buddies.
  • But it's hard to stay friends when you're both nominated for eviction.
  • BB gave them more alcohol.
  • It always gets me that the amount of alcohol given is so little compared to the number of people in the house. I can't see why they get so excited.
  • Meg, Jason, Audrey and Shelli decided to put on a musical sketch.
  • Ack. Now I'll have nightmares about Frankie!
  • Jeff told Jackie that if he stays, he'll go after Vanessa.
  • Well, duh. That should go without saying. And, that's also Vanessa's fear and why she so wants him to go at this point.
  • Steve made a two week safety deal with James in exchange for his vote to save him.
  • Rumors about Audrey being America's Player continue to run rampant through the house.
  • Why do they think someone MUST be America's Player every darn season? More often than not, no one is America's Player.
  • And, certainly not a group of America's Players ... that's been going around the house, too.
  • Silly paranoid hamsters.
  • Jeff apparently is in no fear that Jackie will run back to Austin and Vanessa to tell them all the trashtalking he's doing about them.
  • Perhaps he should worry.
  • Jackie isn't in his corner.
  • But he thinks she is.
  • She was at one time. But she needs to look out for her own game.
  • And, he's not in her plans if he's out with the in crowd.
  • Meg told Chelli that she actually trusts Jeff more on a personal level than she does James, but knows he's going to go.
  • In other words, she'll probably do a sheeple vote even though she personally would keep Jeff.
  • Austin is worrying that Clay might have switched and may be on Jeff's side now. Before, Clay was reporting every wrong move Jeff made to him. Now, not so much.
  • Hmm.
  • Oh noes ... say it ain't so. Jeff outright CRIED to Shelli. Like tears and all.
  • @@
  • Now, that's pulling out all the cards.
  • I doubt it will save his butt, though.
  • We'll see tonight!

At least he can't pick shoulder pimples

It makes him taller!

Shades of Frankie. Ew.

Big Brother 17: Live Feeds into Wednesday Evening - July 15

Jeff's no bro of mine!

Jeff's been telling a spool of lies and getting caught up in each and every one of them. Jeff is the new Audrey. (Although Audrey is back to her instigating bit by bit herself.) Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of The Loquacious HOH Lassie:
  • Vanessa clued Austin in on a tale Audrey told that she (Audrey) is in an alliance with Chelli.
  • Truth or fiction?
  • After all, Audrey has started planting those seeds once again.
  • Austin went into a long talk about his Masters degree and claimed he's never been able to get close to anyone (such as a woman in a relationship).
  • Now, the Masters bit might be real. But didn't he say he had the love of his life at home waiting?
  • He wasn't wearing his Judas hat.
  • Austin told her that his strategy was to eliminate all the guys.
  • Huh. I thought it was Jason who wanted to work with the girls!
  • Shelli thinks her name is being thrown around.
  • Well, yeah. It is. It should be!
  • More than one person is leery of the Chelli duo remaining intact.
  • Plus, you've got Audrey claiming an alliance with Chelli.
  • The Boy Toy just might be Shelli's death knell in the house.
  • Eventually.
  • It has now dawned on Austin and Vanessa that they probably can't rely on or trust Audrey.
  • D'oh!
  • Once again, they're thinking Audrey is America's Player.
  • We ain't got no steenkin' player in this Habitrail! Sheesh.
  • Now they have doubts about Chelli, too.
  • They know that John will be voting to keep Jeff. They thought Becky would.
  • But, Becky talked with Vanessa about all the lies Jeff has told and said she'd be voting for him to go.
  • Shelli told Vanessa and Clay that the Diary Room was giving her subtle hints to keep Jeff.
  • Hmm.
  • Despite Jeff's campaigning and (perhaps) Diary Room hinting, it looks like Jeff will be out tomorrow.
  • He's burnt too many bridges.
Home alone? Nope.

Pooped out party animals

Look! Her mouth is closed!

Is Steve working a strategy?

Jeff lies and I know it

What? Is the thrill gone?

Is he Judas now?

Big Brother 17: PoV Episode Blog Party - July 15

Big Brother 11 Blog Logo photo BB-09-smJackieMA28497852-0002.gif

Good evening! Ready for a blog party? Although the live feed observers already know, tonight's show will focus on the Power of Veto comp and renom (if any). Will John and James remain on the block? I guess we'll see! (Even though many of us know, but that's beside the point.)

As the show airs here on the East Coast, I'll update this entry with the major happenings. Refresh the page to get the latest. As always, the real party is in the comments area. I hope to see you there!

Gee, the show is starting off with a recap. That's new and different.

Or not. The only new bit is a note read that says every time Gronk calls them to a party, they must go.

Vanessa wants Jeff or James gone even though it's John and James on the block. James thinks Audrey is the backdoor target. Vanessa is leaning towards James going home (at least that's the editing).

Liz advises Julia to cover her tooth. She has a crown that has already been noticed by Johnny Mac, the dentist.

Austin leads Jeff into thinking that Audrey is the target.

Time to pick players for the Veto comp! Vanessa gets Shelli, John gets Houseguest's Choice and goes with Austin. James gets Audrey. The show is being edited to make viewers believe Vanessa's target is James and she doesn't want the noms changed. That is so not the case. She's been after Jeff from the get-go as an alternate.

The Veto Comp is a Vegas Party set up. They have head-to-head Gronk and Roll Party inside giant dice and have to have the correct number showing on top. It's similar to a past comp, but can't remember it it was just last season or the season before.

Vanessa goes against Audrey. Vanessa throws the first round to Audrey.

John goes against Audrey. John wins the round.

James against Austin. Austin wins.

Shelli versus Austin. Austin wins.

The final match-up is Austin against Johnny Mac. WOOT! Johnny Mac wins the Power of Veto!

Vanessa fusses at Austin for losing, saying he threw the comp and just wants to get Jeff out while she wanted the least amount of blood on her hands by ousting James.

If they don't show up for a Gronk Party they will be a Have Not next. The Gronk Parties start with a toga party. Pool party, shower party, and so on. They tire of partying.

Jeff goes to talk to Vanessa and pushes the Audrey card to her. She mentions she has the opportunity to take out his buddy James. Jeff gets James, Jason and Clay and tells them the plan is to get out James and not backdoor Audrey. Jason sees right through Austin's denial that he knows about it. Jeff trash talks Austin to Clay who runs to Austin to tell.

Austin runs and tells Vanessa and Audrey that Jeff is throwing him under the bus.

Vanessa confronts Jeff. He lies to her. She goes off on him and says she'll put his butt on the block.

Gronk gives them the chance to win a cruise with him. The winners of comps from the week get to participate in a luxury comp. They have to drink a drink. Meg wins!

Veto meeting time. John, of course, saves himself. Whoops, Gronk party time! Jeff goes on the block.

Big Brother 17: Live Feeds Overnight into Wednesday - July 15

Pretty, I'm so pretty

Yeah, yeah. I know this live feeds update is very late. Dock my check if need be. Oh, wait. What check? (Of course, if you feel compelled, I do have a Paypal Donate link in the sidebar!) Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of At The End Of The Day:
  • Audrey tried to convince Shelli that James is better in the game than is Clay. To Clay, "Calling you stupid would be doing you a favor."
  • Heh.
  • Jeff fussed about his lack of Diary Room time.
  • That's because we just don't want to see him pick his shoulder pimples.
  • Audrey wants everyone to act like they're in a Disney musical.
  • Um. Wait. If it becomes Big Brother the Musical, our feeds will be forever blocked.
  • "Stop that, Audrey."
  • Steve's awkward act (if it is indeed an act, which I think a lot of it is) is catching on and people are thinking of ways to "use" him for their benefit.
  • Hopefully, it's to HIS benefit.
  • It's already shown that he's gone from target to somebody that will probably be in the house safe for some time to come.
  • Jason says that part of the reason he felt he had to come on the show was because he hated Frankie Grande so much.
  • What happened to his childhood dream of being in the house that he mentioned before?
  • But, it's okay to hate Frankie. I don't hate him, but I certainly was very annoyed at him all last summer.
  • James is starting to crush a bit on Audrey. He thinks she's the prettiest girl in the house.
  • I think she might be, as well.
  • It has suddenly dawned on Jeff that he can't trust those whom he thought he were friends.
  • Well, duh.
  • Steve thinks they (Vanessa included) should somehow stop the Austin/Liz showmance.
  • Steve has previously voiced thoughts of breaking up Chelli. He knows that the couples bond can be deadly for others in the house. He's seen it time and time again.
  • I was surprised that I actually had interest in a very long discussion with Jackie, Jeff and Steve in the backyard.
  • Now, had Jeff been that mellow, honest and quasi-intelligent all along, he wouldn't be going home this week.
  • I think Steve soaked in all the insight and, hopefully, it might give him more game in the game.
  • Jackie and Jeff talked about a lot of the behind the scenes stuff from TAR (apparently they're allowed to talk about production in TAR, just not BB). As a show fan and blogger, I found it quite interesting.
  • Jason rejoined the talk and they kept it up until dawn there.
  • They all eventually went to bed.
  • As did I.
  • Jeff has resigned that he'll most likely be going home tomorrow.

Big Brother 17: Live Feeds Tuesday into the Evening - July 14

Jeff tries to sell himself

Vanessa never stops talking. Jeff never stops campaigning. Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Lonesome Losers:
  • Shelli thinks that there are too many alliances in the house this year and the large one she's in might be the butt of jokes like the Bomb Squad.
  • Y'think?
  • Audrey showed disdain for Clay and Shelli. Not TO them, though.
  • Hey, gotta agree with her there!
  • Audrey is back to doing her Audrey thing -- planting the odd seed here and there and seeing if it might grow.
  • She's trying to cast suspicion on Austin to Chelli, saying he's in too many alliances.
  • Johnny Mac thinks his professional friends might be wondering why he's ruining his career being on the show.
  • Heck, if his career has survived his voice and laugh, he has no worries. He's done nothing really stupid in the house.
  • Johnny Mac just might be the dark horse in this race of rodents!
  • I was disheartened to find out that I'm older than more than a few of these hamsters' mothers.
  • Sigh.
  • The HoH camera came out and they did the typical shots.
  • Yawnsers.
  • Chelli (Clay/Shelli) want to work more on building Steve's trust.
  • I hope deep down inside he plays them for all they're worth. He was telling Vanessa that he thinks they (Chelli) need to be split up.
  • Ha.
  • Steve doesn't expect to be a celebrity of any type after the show.
  • That's realistic. Outside the hardcore BB fans, the ex-hamsters are unknowns.
  • Austin would like it if Audrey won HoH and targeted Jason.
  • I don't think Audrey wants to win HoH. Despite the brouhaha around her a week or so ago, she's become more of a nonentity as of late. She knows she has people who will protect her.
  • Of course, if she goes up on the block, she just might be voted out. James and Jason would both go for that!
  • Vanessa told Austin that Steve would target Audrey. Well, yeah. But he also has his sights set on disrupting Chelli.
  • They're thinking HoH might be endurance this week.
  • We're probably due for one if the last few years are any indication.
  • Austin thinks he'd suck at endurance.
  • Yes, he's way too big.
  • I'd say Jason, who weighs practically nothing, would probably win any endurance comp.
  • Lots of voting talk. Lots of "indecision" when talking to Jeff.
  • He should be able to read between the lines there.
  • Lots of "if so-and-so gets HoH, who would they target" talk.
  • Austin and Vanessa quizzed themselves on the order of the Gronk parties.
  • Then Vanessa went into obscure things like how many drawers in the dresser in HoH.
  • Uh, that might be a bit extraneous!
  • Audrey tried (fake?) make amends with Jason.
  • Hmm.
  • Jason told her he was no longer holding a grudge.
  • Hmm.
  • Tonight is the big "date night" decided by Vanessa -- probably decided by BB to give the BBAD viewers some sort of content.
  • Jeff is thinking the vote will be close.
  • I don't think it will be as close as he thinks. I think the only two votes to keep him over James will be John (due to a prior deal/quasi-alliance) and Jackie (due to TAR).
  • I could be wrong.
  • He thinks Vanessa will vote against him.
  • Yet he claims to know BB.
  • Tsk, tsk.

Big Brother 17: Live Feeds Overnight into Tuesday - July 14

Pretty in pink?

Will Jeff stay or will he go? The plan is to get him outta there. And, it looks like he'll be out. I don't think he has the time to pull a rabbit out of his hat. That would probably be Austin's hat. Never mind. I digress. Here's the latest skinny on what's been happening inside that Big Brother House of Betraying Buddies:
  • Knowing that their prized hamsters are in a boring lull, BB told them they'd give them alcohol if they thought of drinking games for the live feeds watchers.
  • Yeah, that's the ticket!
  • Jason said that if he doesn't make jury, he won't be able to take the whole summer off. But if he does make jury, he's going to sleep all October and be poor.
  • I doubt he'll be "poor" if he makes jury. The stipend he's getting is probably a lot more than he earns as a grocery stocker. Add on no living costs for three months and he can surely sleep a month!
  • Jackie said she and Jeff split $4,000 in winnings from TAR. Now, $2,000 isn't a lot for a month. Hmm.
  • Austin suggested they get a one week deal from James for voting Jeff out instead of him. He also wanted to throw Meg in the safety deal because he thinks James is "in love" with Meg.
  • BB gave them warm beer.
  • Yuck.
  • They played a game of King's Cup.
  • They played another game of Truth or Dare.
  • Hilarity ensued.
  • Jeff dressed as a Chippendale, except with toilet paper fringes instead of something sexy.
  • James licked whip cream off of Austin's chest.
  • Steve admitted he's kissed five girls.
  • Jason and Meg both stuffed cotton balls in their mouths.
  • Vanessa decided that tomorrow night is date night and the dates must end with a French kiss.
  • I'm wondering if that's production suggestions as I notice the new promos for the Wednesday show feature the kisses from the Truth or Dare the other night.
  • They want to push the sex angle when the one "couple" in the house aren't doing more than cuddling.
  • Steve talked strategy with Vanessa, prying for information whether he's in anyone's sights as a target.
  • She told him he's pretty safe.
  • She admitted that Audrey doesn't like Jason or James, but refused to say Audrey would actually target them.
  • And on it goes ...

Delusions of grandeur

Inhaling cotton balls

Gag me with a spoon ... now!

Hilarity ensues

Big Brother 17: Live Feeds Monday into the Evening, Renom - July 13

Gal pals (all three of them)

Y'know, if they had kept the choice for a renom quiet, we'd have exciting live feeds right now. Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Loose Lips:
  • They had some kind of Gronk comp thing this morning, blocked to the live feeds. Meg won a cruise with Gronk, Gronkette and the Gronklets (if they have any Gronklets).
  • Vanessa, despite the fact that she and Austin have gone over her renom speech thoroughly and a gazillion times, worried about her upcoming renom speech.
  • John told Jason that he's planning on voting to keep Jeff because Jeff has had his back.
  • Hmm.
  • Although he's on the block weekly, John really hasn't needed anyone to "have his back."
  • The PoV Ceremony went down as expected -- John saved himself and Vanessa put Jeff in his place.
  • John told Vanessa he planned to vote for Jeff to stay.
  • Vanessa told him the long tale of the evils Jeff has done and why she put him up.
  • Audrey thinks all of her betrayers -- Da'Vonne, Jeff -- are gone or going home, but it leaves Jason.
  • She claims they all told lies about her.
  • Um, not really.
  • She's just bit touched in the head when it comes to truth versus lie.
  • Yeah, that's it!
  • Lots of small talk.
  • Since Jeff was already in the know about being the renom, no brouhahas. Not even a kerfuffle.
  • Sigh.

Open wide

Still on the block, but more optimistic

"That Jason needs to GO."

Big Brother 17: Live Feeds Overnight into Monday Dawn - July 13

Chelli on the hammock

Gronk. Gronk. Who wants a party? No one, really. Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Pooped Partiers:
  • Y'know, I can appreciate Vanessa's game moves and her plan. I understand why she's targeting Jeff and not Audrey.
  • BUT SHE NEEDS TO SHUT UP!
  • She also needs to stop with the "at the end of the day" phrase. If I never hear that on Big Brother again, I certainly won't miss it.
  • Where her big problem with me is that she keeps on talking and talking. First, why bother even letting Jeff know he's a target? Just slap him up on the block. Second, when talking to people (if she feels she must), just state the case once. If there's no chance the other person will change her mind, move along.
  • Didn't I say 'ad nauseam' before? I say it again. (I love showing off Latin phrases.)
  • It was so bad that I found a teeth conversation with Johnny Mac, Lizia and Steve more interesting.
  • Steve brought his retainer, but hasn't been wearing it.
  • Don't you love all these insider bits?
  • Heh.
  • Austin has been playing the "I didn't know Audrey wasn't her target" bit with Jeff.
  • But his relationship with Jeff has broken down nonetheless as it's been brought up that Jeff talked about backdooring him.
  • Although Jeff denied throwing Austin under that reality bus, it's there.
  • More fuel for the Oust Jeff Movement.
  • Vanessa told Shelli she doesn't think Steve knows about the twins.
  • Duh. Everyone in the house knows!
  • And, what about them taking Steve into their alliance? It shows that he's really not IN with them. (As I knew all along.)
  • The Gronk Parties partied on.
  • As decided by online fans, they played a game of Truth or Dare.
  • Johnny Mac came up with a unique strategy for nominations -- he'd set up in the bathroom and the first two people who didn't turn the Occupied sign around get nominated.
  • I'm liking him a lot more than I thought I would. He doesn't take these things so seriously and he is comic relief at times. Despite the way he talks, he does seem to know his dentistry and is generally pretty smart and observant.
  • Nothing of any great consequence happened. I think we'll still see Jeff being named as the replacement nominee for John at today's PoV ceremony.
  • I wish they hadn't decided to "tell" him -- they didn't come out and blatantly say it because that's against the rules, but they "told" him anyway.
  • I would have preferred a true blindside brouhaha tonight!

They're still Lizia to me

Big Brother 17: Live Feeds Sunday into the Evening - July 12

Not quite a puppetmaster

Gee, another fun Sunday in that Big Brother House of Harried Hamsters:
  • Meg and James came to the realization that, once again, Audrey is not going to go on the block.
  • James vowed to nominate her and get her out if he can get HoH.
  • At this point, Audrey should be able to float through to the end as the biggest target who never gets nominated.
  • That said, I'm fine with Jeff going.
  • He bugs me.
  • He says "dude" too often. He regularly picks at his shoulder pimples.
  • Gamewise, he's too cocky. He plays pretty much everyone in the house, telling lies and doesn't think anyone notices.
  • Wait! It's the next twist! Jeff IS Audrey!
  • Ahem.
  • The various Gronk Party takeovers continued with dancing, conga lines, hot tub, etc.
  • If they don't join the party, they're Have Nots next week.
  • At least, that's the threat.
  • After Vanessa lit into Jeff, he now realizes he's in deep doo-doo this week.
  • Aw, poor dude.
  • He keeps thinking he can reason and/or apologize his way out of trouble with Vanessa.
  • Vanessa says that there's nothing he can say to change her mind.
  • Although they're not letting on to Jeff, most of the house know he will be going on the block and we're probably going to end up with yet another house vote.
  • So darn exciting, these practically unanimous votes.
  • Not.

Look into my eyes

Don't look at my eyes or my teeth

The kid has facial hair stuff going on

The smartest dumb guy in the house

All is catching up with Jeff

He needs to stop picking at pimples!

Gronk Party or die

Bug Brother 17: Nominations, Battle of the Block Show Blog Party - July 12

Big Brother 11 Blog Logo photo BB-09-smJackieMA28497852-0002.gif

Good evening! Ready for a blog party?

As the show airs here on the East Coast, I'll update this entry with the major happenings. Refresh the page to get the latest. As always, the real party is in the comments area. I hope to see you there!

The show is actually starting on time despite golf. Recap time for the opening.

Austin vows that Judas is the HoH. Vanessa is thrilled that she and her ally Austin are the dual HoH ... for now. And the twins talk goes on. Lizia hopes to work with Vanessa for safety. Julia reveals herself to Vanessa. Of course, Vanessa wants to work with her supposed buddies, Chelli, and tells them about the twins.

Austin, the closest friend of the twins in the house, is dumbfounded that they're twins. They hope to keep them in for a six person alliance once both are allowed to play.

Meg thinks the target is sure to be Audrey. She doesn't want to be a pawn again. Jason too is sure Audrey will go. Jeff thinks it will be Audrey while James is worried that he might be in trouble.

Austin and Vanessa think that Jeff might be a better target.

Who wants to see my HoH room? False thrills.

The twins switch and Liz reenters the house to her new allies -- Austin,Vanessa, Shelli and Clay. Foolishly, they decide to try to keep fooling the rest of the house that there aren't twins. They already know! Sheesh.

Johnny Mac, a dentist by trade, notices that one twin has a crown on her number nine tooth. Jeff runs to Austin to tell him that rumor has it that Liz is a twin.

Austin thinks they should backdoor either James or Jeff. They discuss putting pawns up. They offer him a safety deal through to ten people. Of course, he's asked to throw the comp once again.

Nominations time! Austin wears his Judas hat. He nominates Meg and Jason. He says that Meg was called out by Da'Vonne and needs to prover herself, Jason save yourself. Bigger plan. Vanessa nominates James and John. James, a game move. Johnny Mac, crush the competition.

Meg is SO MAD. Poor pawnie gal. Austin talks to them both. He tells them that Audrey is the backdoor plan. Austin wears his Judas hat.

Battle of the Block time -- Gronk's Amazing Foam Party. The spectators have alcohol. They have to retrieve party people's clothes from a maze inside a huge pool of foam. Then they must match up the item to the person. James is doing so poorly that John really doesn't have to work at throwing it.

Meg and Jason win BoB, Austin is dethroned.
