Big Brother 16: End of HOH, Nominations, BOB etc. Show Blog Party - August 10

Big Brother summer on Make A Gif

I have no clue when tonight's show will start. Golf just might go on forever. But I'll put this party post up on time in the hopes that it will end sooner rather than later. Once it finally gets underway here in the NYC viewing area, I'll update this entry with the major happenings. Refresh the page to get the latest news.

The real party takes place in the comments area -- come join in on the fun! I'll take down the word verification once the show actually starts!

The show will start at 10pm EDT. I'll return at that time. (Grr.)

Finally, it's starting. It's Recap City so far.

Nicole and Zach clash. Donny consoles Nicole. Caleb says the majority of everything you hear is a lie. Nicole calls out Frankie and Christine while Zach taunts her. As I said in the feeds reports, it's shocking that Caleb ends up being the voice of reason -- he says that not everything Nicole is saying is a lie.

HoH comp -- BB Tourneyement. Giant eye chart clues, then make a choice.
Nicole moves on. Cody eliminated.
Victoria moves on. Derrick eliminated.
Christine moves on. Donny eliminated.
Zach moves on. Frankie eliminated.

Round 2
Nicole first HoH!
Christine is the second HoH.

Frankie offers to flip for Nicole. She's sure he's not trustworthy. Zach spills his guts about EVERYTHING that's been going on to her. Zach told Caleb that Nicole said she wants to put up Caleb, Cody, Derrick because Frankie advised her to do it.

Frankie's lies get exposed to the whole house. Caleb offers to go on the block, throw the BOB and they vote Frankie out.

Christine nominates Donny and Zach.
Nicole nominates Caleb, saying he won't be going anywhere. And Frankie because of his lies.

Zach declares Christine and Frankie liars.

BOB time! Derrick hosts as a sportscaster in a suit. It's a football theme promoting Thursday night football on CBS. @@

It's a bit like a huge foosball table game. Winning team gets a trip to a pre-season NFL event with a tailgate party.

Frankie realizes that Caleb is going to throw the comp. After confronting him about all the lies, Caleb sits down and tells Frankie to play the game by himself. Once Frankie got the hang of the game, he pulled ahead. Zach tries by himself and screws up.

Frankie wins and goes into hysterics. He shouts out to Mommy and Ariana. Nicole is no longer a HoH.

Frankie tells us his only thought to save himself for future weeks is to reveal he's Ariana Grande's brother. @@

Before this season, I didn't even have a clue who she was.

Big Brother 16: Live Feeds into Sunday with a brouhaha! - August 10

Zach's mouth starts it all

Yep, it was another entertaining night on the live feeds! About time, I say! Of course, in real life I don't like drama, kerfuffles and brouhahas (at least not if I'm involved!). But this is Big Brother. I want entertainment. Watching a bunch of guys playing pool or chess is NOT entertainment. Here's the skinny on the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Lies and Betrayals:
  • They had gotten over the Frankie thing although he's likely to be targeted once they get down to their inner circle.
  • This latest is pretty much all on Zach and his mouth.
  • He has told Nicole and others everything that has happened so far, as we know.
  • Well, when he told Victoria, he told her that Derrick was in an alliance with Christine.
  • She freaked as Derrick is the only person in the house she trusted.
  • Victoria went to Nicole crying and Nicole tried to comfort her.
  • Zach went to Derrick, told him that Victoria was freaking out and he told Derrick that NICOLE told Victoria that he (Derrick) has an alliance with Christine.
  • It went from a drama-laden kerfuffle to a full-blown BROUHAHA!
  • Again, no fisticuffs.
  • No thrown chairs, either.
  • Sigh.
  • Derrick talked to both Victoria and Nicole separately and then together. Nicole said she didn't tell Victoria it and Victoria said it was Zach.
  • So Derrick called in Zach.
  • Zach admitted that he lied about Nicole telling Victoria about the Christine alliance.
  • He got all defensive and started shouting once again that he's disgusting, a liar, they need to vote him out next week.
  • Derrick once again did the amazing Derrick people skillz on 'em all, making each one of them thinking they have value in the game and, after all, it's just a game.
  • Then Frankie got involved.
  • And then ... a new BROUHAHA (well, rehashed one from last night) with Frankie and Zach.
  • Again, Derrick did his thing and smoothed all the rough edges.
  • Dang. I think I want Derrick on my city's police department. His interrogation skills are truly outstanding and special. In one of my past careers, I was trained for investigations and interrogations and he's doing so much of what I learned in my courses. He does it better than I ever did. Super kudos to him!
  • In other news, Christine seems reluctant to put Nicole on the block when Zach uses the veto.
  • Yeah, though he says he wants to go home, he'd be a fool not to save himself with the veto he won in Otev.
  • I'm thinking she'll probably put either Victoria or Nicole on the block with Donny. She still wants Frankie out, but he and Caleb are safe because of wining the BOB.
  • Alas, I think we'll see my guilty pleasure joy Donny leave this week.
  • If so, may Derrick win it all.
  • He deserves the win. Hands down, one of the best gamers ever in the house in the history of the show.
  • I only wish he had teamed up with Nicole, Hayden and Donny instead of Caleb, Frankie and Christine. But, it's worked for him so far.

Derrick calls a meeting of the mindless

Off Topic: That Was the Week It Was - August 10, 2014

Happy Sunday morning to y'all! Just a word of warning -- this post is my weekly off television topic photo post reflecting on the week gone by in both words and photos I've taken along the way. If you're looking for my Big Brother live feeds content, those posts can be found at this link right here. You've been warned. Feel free to skip this post if you wish!

We continue to have a not horrible but a bit rainy summer here. While I hear some people whine that it's not hot enough, you won't hear any complaints from me! I don't like heat and humidity. I love night time temperatures in the 50s. The last thing I ever would want to do is lay in the hot sun sweating while I burn to a crisp. While we've had some warmer days in the 90s, it pales compared to many summer in the past. Good.

This week's random musings:
  • If you have a July monthly NJ Transit train pass, don't expect the conductor to take it in August just because you haven't had a payday yet. (No, not me. I always have mine by the 1st.)
  • If you're a substitute driver on the NJ Transit bus from Dunellen to Newark, please know your route and don't depend on passengers (me) to tell you that you missed a major turn.
  • I wish the sunflowers that I pass by were growing closer to where I have access without going up on lawns.
  • I have yet another new neighbor(s?) upstairs. My good upstairs neighbor of the last year plus a few months got the boot after his girlfriend left and he either didn't want to pay the rent or couldn't do it on his own. Other than moving in at nearly midnight one night this past week, he/she/they walk quietly on the hardwood floors and I just hear some not unexpected movement around the apartment noises. So far, so good.
  • I'm expecting a Peapod grocery delivery today and the elevator door stuck when I went down to get my newspaper. Eek! I fixed it myself with some WD-40. Yay, me! I don't want the delivery guy/gal to have to lug all my heavy stuff up the stairs.
Onto this week's photos! With the slideshows (groundhog here, flowers after the jump), clicking on the diagonal arrows on the bottom right of the window will make them full-screen. With the photos, clicking on them will bring you to my Photobucket where you can make them larger twice by clicking on the magnifying glass on the bottom right. Just X out to return to the blog. Have a great Sunday!

I had a bit of a treat yesterday morning, as did a certain Plainfield Train Station groundhog. Now, I've seen this groundhog at the station before. But he usually scurries away and hides. It turns out that some of the Latino guys who hang out at the station have been feeding him bread and hard rolls daily. I happened upon one throwing down chunks of hard roll for him and we sat back to watch him come out. Very cool.

Flowers grow on Westervelt Ave.

One of the business on the corner of East Front Street and Westervelt Avenue in Plainfield has a gorgeous display of flowers growing this year. The sunflower caught my attention. One of these mornings on my walk to the train, I'll have to cross the street for some close-ups! Kudos to them for beautifying a rather otherwise boring corner!

Big Brother 16: Live Feeds Saturday with POV update - August 9

BULLETIN - The Power of Veto comp ended. It was the Otev comp. ZACH won the Power of Veto.

Mouth shut. Good.

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Insecurities and Paranoia:
  • Derrick told Frankie now he realizes how he (Frankie) got chosen for Team America. He thinks Don must have a sob story which resonated with viewers.
  • Nope. No sob story about Donny. He's a good guy who seems quite content with his lot in life. If only we could all be that content and have such great family support.
  • Derrick and Frankie have each other's back as Team America members. Frankie is sure that Donny would never target them and, thus, he doesn't think they should vote out Donny.
  • Unfortunately (because I like both Derrick and Donny), Derrick thinks because Donny told them that one time that he was there for Donny Thompson first, then Team America, that Donny would have no problem either targeting them or voting them out.
  • Oh, come on! Derrick is there for Derrick first. Frankie is there for Frankie first. Anyone not in the house with the intent to win it for themselves doesn't belong there!
  • <.rant over>
  • The veto players besides Christine, Donny and Zach are: Caleb, Derrick and Nicole. Victoria will host.
  • Derrick already asked Caleb to throw the comp.
  • Yeah, that worked out so well with the BOB and Frankie, huh?
  • Frankie thinks America must hate Nicole and Zach for trying to get him out.
  • Um. No. I can't speak for ALL of America, just my part in America. I want you out, too. So there, Mr. Grande.
  • Derrick thinks that Zach is acting like a three-year old about the Frankie revelation.
  • He is. But has Zach ever acted mature? No? I didn't think so.
  • Later Derrick told Frankie he thinks Zach is so upset because he had a plan for the whole time in the house and Frankie destroyed it all, now Zach is lost.
  • Frankie didn't miss any opportunity he could to mention his fan base. To me, that makes him all that more obnoxious.
  • Derrick isn't helping the Frankie/Zach rift by telling Frankie that Zach volunteered to go on the block to make sure Frankie went home.
  • Derrick was surprised that popular YouTubers have agents and such.
  • On a side note: I saw a recent segment on one of the news shows about REAL successful YouTubers (not small time like Frankie) -- earning a half-million and more per year. To be honest, I haven't heard of any of them, either.
  • On a bit of a more serious (yet still Frankie-serving) note, Frankie told Derrick he was here to win the game and make a name for himself. He said he loves his sister, but she's always been "the sun and I've been Pluto." Since Pluto was demoted, heck ... Frankie isn't even a planet!
  • Christine picked the Have Nots -- Donny and Zach. (What a shock and a surprise!)
  • The food I voted for -- peanut butter and jelly fish -- are the additional items. They're happy about the peanut butter, the jelly fish not so much.
  • Zach told Donny he feels like everyone is against him.
  • Oh, like Donny doesn't know that feeling ... SINCE DAY ONE!
  • Zach and Nicole are getting as bad as the show's fans with the conspiracy theories. They think it was "like staged that that comp could be completed by one person." Probably a lot of the "team" comps could be done by one, but no one has ever just sat down and not participated (Caleb) before.
  • Nicole cried. She really misses Hayden. She doesn't like anyone in the house (well, maybe Donny, but she can't always seem to relate to him) and she's sure she's going home soon.
  • Well, to jury.
  • Donny and Zach, now both on the outside looking in, had some very sad conversations. At one point, Donny told Zach he's been alone the whole time, watching the others playing pool, never being invited in on conversations and it will all be over soon. He seemed to be on the verge of crying as he said it.
  • :(
  • It went from Donny trying to cheer Zach up to Zach trying to cheer Donny. I kind of like that Zach. I'm not too keen on the Zach we've seen for most of the season except for entertainment value.
  • Victoria told Nicole that anyone who trusts Frankie now has to be an idiot.
  • You go, girl!
  • Victoria also told Nicole that Derrick is trustworthy and she thinks she'll (Victoria) fall apart emotionally if he goes.
  • I really can't call him all that trustworthy, but I do think Derrick does care for people and hates to see anyone (especially the women) upset.
  • Victoria also thinks Derrick doesn't manipulate people.
  • BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
  • Donny and Zach continued to bond.
  • I think that's good for the young grasshopper.
  • Donny told Zach money doesn't make you happy, family does.
  • Zach claimed he wants to live at home with his parents for as long as possible.
  • Oh my. His parents might object to that one. I mean, love is more bearable with an adult child if they live nearby, not necessarily IN the home ... I think! Especially a Zachish child!
  • Derrick thinks everything Nicole/Hayden told him last week were lies. Cody tried to convince him otherwise.
  • Cody is right.
  • Heh. The BB voice has a new message for when they break things in the house: "This is the reason we can't have nice things."
  • Here I thought it's because they got a deal at the the dollar store on stuff!
  • I've been trying to wait out the in progress veto comp, but I've run out of stuff to say.
  • As long as the comp ends at a human hour, I'll put up a quick announcement of the winner. If it's real late, I'll post early in the morning (East Coast time).
  • I have my fingers crossed for a Donny win although now I feel sad that he's actually sad in the house.

Who could this be?

Is it BB or a beauty pageant?

Big Brother 16: Live Feeds Friday night into Saturday - August 9

All dressed up and nowhere to go

No, Derrick didn't go anywhere. He apparently hosted the BOB comp and got a free suit out of the deal. For a moment I was thinking this would be the future wardrobe for the well-dressed hamster.

If you missed my previous report, we had the first real full-blown brouhaha (sans fisticuffs) of the season. Caleb didn't "throw" the BOB; he literally sat out and refused to play. So, Frankie won it all by himself with Zach and Donny playing on the other side. But ... pre-BOB Frankie realized his goose was cooked in the house. I don't care if he's vegan. His goose was definitely cooked.

What to do? What to do? Time to pull out the "I'm a YouTube star. My sister is a pop star. I'm playing the game to build schools in Africa!" Card! Yep! He claims that the pressure of keeping those secrets in addition to his grandfather's death caused him to suffer some sort of breakdown and lie to everyone about everyone in the house.

Thankfully, some in the house were like me. "Who the hell is Ariana Grande? I never heard of her." Nor had they seen him on YouTube with his over a million followers. But others were smitten right away. Zach freaked. Lots of yelling and the kerfuffle turned into a small brouhaha.

Here's the skinny on what's been going down in that Big Brother House of A Pseudo-Celeb:
  • At first Caleb became smitten. Why, he might meet Justin Bieber! Woot! Forget Amber, let me stalk Frankie!
  • Victoria is in LOVE with Ariana Grande! She's her FAVORITE!
  • Nicole is agog with the idea of being close to a REAL celebrity!
  • Donny was congratulatory about it. (But also has no idea who Ariana Grande is.)
  • Derrick has heard of her, but claims you never know who the people inside the house are outside the house. And, it shouldn't matter.
  • Yep, Sarge ... you got that right!
  • Cody has no clue who Ariana Grande is.
  • Christine is all giggly over it. I hate her laughs. They make my skin crawl.
  • Caleb is crushed that he's not the big celebrity of the season.
  • @@
  • All feel it's unfair as the America's Player favorite prize is certain to go to Frankie with his followers.
  • Zach is super-crushed and subdued. He won't even talk to Frankie, not to even think of a hug. (Everyone else hugged him due to his soul searching confession.)
  • Zach sat for nearly an hour with Derrick (and sometimes others passing through) saying, "I have no chance. I'm playing against someone building schools in Africa. None of us have a chance."
  • Oh. I forgot to mention -- apparently Christine, Frankie and Caleb won some sort of outing to a pre-season football game thingee. They're excited. I'm not.
  • Derrick continued to use his skillz throughout the house, pep-talking some, being Mr. Super Understanding, reminding each person that their own reasons for being in the house are important.
  • They're really in a quandary now.
  • They think if the veto is used, it will most likely be Victoria or Nicole on the block with either Zach or Donny.
  • From the grumblings I'm hearing, it's quite possible if Zach remains on the block, he just might be the next jury member.
  • Thankfully, as the night went on, most seemed to refocus on getting Frankie out. They obviously can't do it this week.
  • But there's always next week.

Can I meet Justin Bieber? Can I? Can I?

I need an alliance, please.

OMG! OMG! Ariana Grande!?!?!

So, America's Player dreams are shot

I'm competing against schools in Africa?

Big Brother 16: Live Feeds BOB Results - Friday, August 8

Frankie literally won the BOB single-handed as Caleb threw it. Donny and Zach remain on the block. Lots of screaming going on.

Frankie tells the others who he is (world famous YouTuber, famous sister, et al). Um, he's using this as a reason he became paranoid and turned.

Big Brother 16: Live Feeds Friday/Nominations - August 8

Team America doesn't think they can do it

What a day! How quickly the worm can turn in that Big Brother House of Snakes:
  • The fallout from last night's double eviction continued to spin.
  • Thank you, Caleb.
  • I never thought I'd say that.
  • But it was Caleb who brought it to (just about) everybody's attention that Nicole was telling the truth about Frankie and Christine, as was Hayden.
  • Derrick thinks it's best to get Frankie out and no more alliances because Zach tells all.
  • And, yes ... Zach did tell ALL to Nicole.
  • She, in turn, told just about all to Zach, leaving out quite a bit of intel on Derrick and Cody.
  • She told every bit about the Frankie and Christine lying.
  • Of course, Christine is the other HoH. So targeting her would be a bit hard. She'd have to be dethroned and severe backdoored.
  • Derrick and Cody have put a "need to know" criteria on anything they share with Caleb.
  • Caleb is willing to go on the block with Frankie and throw the comp, thus Frankie gets voted out.
  • Unfortunately, although he's volunteering, right now they don't want to vote out Caleb -- they want the head of Alfredo Garcia. Er, wait. That's an old movie. They want Frankie out.
  • I'd rather Frankie out than Caleb right now, too. I have to give him credit for starting the "There's truth in what Nicole's saying" movement.
  • Caleb also mended fences with Donny over the Get Rid of Frankie Plan. They decided they're even and will no longer target each other.
  • Caleb also says he owes Hayden a huge apology.
  • Oh my ... Christine told Nicole SHE doesn't trust Frankie! Covering her butt and trying to earn favor or for real?
  • I'm not sure.
  • But it will work for this week anyway.
  • Nicole doublechecked with Caleb to make sure he will throw the BOB. He said yes.
  • When the nominations came down -- Nicole put up Frankie and Caleb, Christine put up Zach and Donny.
  • Zach and Donny know that they're safe and Caleb will throw the comp.
  • Frankie doesn't know this.
  • Heehee. Donny told Zach that he and Caleb make the show -- Zach's antics and Caleb's stupidity.
  • Spot on.
  • That said, Derrick is really still angry with Zach for the way he treated Nicole after the live show last night.
  • Derrick continues to amaze me with his talks with everyone. He makes each person feel special. Plus, he does seem like a genuinely NICE guy who's playing a wickedly cool game of Big Brother.
  • Nicole continued to throw Frankie under that good ol' bus.
  • Others joined in.
  • Zach really seems to want to work with Nicole. Perhaps it's a ruse; perhaps it's because she opened his eyes to Frankie using him for the fool.
  • Frankie told Victoria that he's worried because he's on the block. He's also a bit worried about Caleb because he's been eating slop, but is sure he will go into Cowboy Beast Mode for the BOB.
  • Heh.
  • He ought to be worrying that Caleb with throw the comp completely!
  • As it stands right now, they're expecting the BOB, but don't know quite when.
  • Neither do I.
  • But I bet Donny and Zach just might win this one!

Big Brother 16: Live Feeds into Friday - August 8

A new and quieter Zach?

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Up All Night:
  • As you know from my previous post, Christine and Nicole won the two HoH spots.
  • Zach modified his behavior.
  • He even composed a "love poem" to Nicole which made her laugh.
  • Zach told Nicole he really didn't want to evict her -- he wanted Hayden out because he was a very strong competitor.
  • Donny admitted that he was one of the two votes to evict Nicole.
  • But she doesn't know the second was Cody.
  • We know that.
  • Caleb got his HoH basket and letter from his mother. She told him to be humble and don't boast so much.
  • A little too late for the latter advice.
  • Christine and Nicole agreed that neither would backdoor the other.
  • Frankie admitted to Nicole and Christine he was also working with the other side of the house.
  • Then he claimed to be loyal to Christine from the beginning, suggesting she put either Derrick/Cody or Zach on the block with Caleb.
  • Frankie wants a five person team (alliance?) with himself, Christine, Nicole, Donny and Victoria.
  • Nicole is worried he'd just flip once again.
  • Frankie is doing pretty much what Derrick told Cody and Zach he would do -- running to the other side.
  • Nicole doesn't trust Cody.
  • Obviously, she shouldn't.
  • Nicole thinks that Victoria will be the last girl left in the house if they don't do something about it.
  • The names they seem to prefer for nominations keep coming down to Victoria, Caleb, Donny and Zach.
  • Nicole would nominate Victoria and Caleb; Christine would nominate Donny and Zach.
  • Meanwhile, Caleb's going around saying if anyone puts him on the block, he'll be getting off the block and coming after them.
  • Nicole told Zach he's not her target and she wants to work with him.
  • She told him how the plan was to vote him out.
  • He's upset that it went that far and his own boys were planning to evict him.
  • Christine is thinking that she might put Derrick up instead of Zach because she knows Derrick is more done with her.
  • Nicole told Caleb if she puts him up, he's not her target and, if it came to it, she would save him with the veto.
  • Zach told Nicole ALL about the Detonators after she said that Frankie/Christine said it was just formed a few days ago.
  • He told her that Frankie is "dead to me now."
  • Nicole told Zach about the Rationale.
  • They agree not to trust any of them anymore and they will work together -- Nicole and Zach.
  • Cody wants Christine to end up on the block.
  • Zach says he's going to play Frankie much like he was played by Frankie.
  • He would love to go on the block with Frankie, throw the BOB and have Frankie voted out.
  • Meanwhile, Frankie got the Team America mission and shared it with Derrick, then Donny.
  • The one chosen was to get someone to volunteer as a pawn and then vote that person out.
  • They keep thinking Caleb.

Big Brother 16: Duo HoH Winners Thursday Night After Show - August 7

Big Brother summer on Make A Gif

The live feeds we PAY for are still blocked.

But, Big Brother After Dark went from sending Caleb alone in the house to the comp being over.

Christine (ew) and Nicole (yay) won the two HoH positions.

Lots of people are worried.

And, although I have TVGN, I want to know why the live feeds we PAY for are still blocked!

Big Brother 16: Live Feeds - Live Show Aftermath Thursday - August 7

Zach went back to callous idiot mode

Yikes, what a hot mess in that Big Brother house of Shout, Shout, Let It On Out:
  • When the feeds returned, Zach was being an idiot.
  • He was yelling about, namecalling and generally being a jerk to Nicole (who obviously doesn't need his harassment after all that just went down).
  • Nicole spilled the beans on all that went down during the week.
  • Interestingly enough, I didn't hear her specifically point out Derrick or Cody.
  • Hmm.
  • But she sure threw Frankie and Christine under the bus.
  • She was saying everyone was lying to her.
  • Nicole is in tears saying that she doesn't want to stay in the house with Zach picking on her all week.
  • So, who comforts her in the Beehive Room?
  • Christine.
  • I can understand that Nicole at this point is desperate for trust.
  • But, geez. Christine convinces her that she herself was lied about and makes everything sort of hunky-dory with Nicole.
  • Dang. I thought Derrick was the master manipulator.
  • Meanwhile, Caleb is shocked he won a math comp.
  • All the guys were talking (except Donny) to Zach about calming down and he needs to stop being mean to Nicole.
  • No, they want Nicole out. But they don't think she should be treated horribly.
  • Derrick convinced everyone that Hayden and Nicole played them.
  • Then, after Derrick and Frankie left the room with just Zach and Cody there, the Voice of Reason entered.
  • Yes ... CALEB, the Voice of Reason.
  • He told Zach and Cody that a lot of what Nicole has been saying (about people talking to her and steering her and who wants whom on the block) has a ring of truth in it and to beware ... of Frankie and Christine.
  • When Derrick came in, he said the same to him.
  • Oh, my. Then Derrick had to scramble a bit.
  • He's back in the Christine is betraying us mode.
  • Derrick told Victoria that they're golden -- neither of their names have come up in regard to nomination possibilities.
  • Derrick also told Donny that he was good with him and wants Team America to go on. He said he's not as sure about where Frankie is on the deal, though.
  • The boys told Victoria she passed the test (the vote).
  • But you and I know she's not really in with the in crowd. She's just a number for them now.
  • Talk spread throughout the house about not trusting Christine and, to a lesser extent, not trusting Frankie.
  • Zach was told he needs to shut up more.
  • Christine hung all over Cody again.
  • Nicole seems to have vanished to a bed.
  • Donny hurt his ankle in the comp -- they gave him three Advil and told him to ice and elevate it.
  • So he's resting now.
  • They haven't been told when to expect the HoH comp.
  • Derrick says it sounds like there are 100 people in beast mode building in the yard.
  • They're on indoor lockdown, of course.
  • And, they can't get into the HoH room.
  • Caleb hopes he'll at least get a letter. Now, in the past, the HoH in his spot gets a basket and letter, but no room.
  • He's also begging BB to give him a slop pass for winning HOH ... especially in a MATH comp!
  • Wait, now Nicole is packing up Hayden's bag.
  • Be strong, girl!
  • Things have calmed down since the feeds first returned.
  • So, I'll get this posted.

Derrick is trying to control the fallout

Donny has to ice his ankle

Nicole is in shock

Christine slimes Cody's shoulder

Victoria thinks she's in with the in crowd

What do I do now? Zach, leave me ALONE!

Zankie once again

Big Brother 16: Live Double Eviction Show / HOH - August 7

Big Brother summer on Make A Gif

Two weeks of Big Brother in one night! It's the live double eviction! As the show airs here on the East Coast, I'll update this entry with the major happenings. Refresh the page to get the latest!

But, first ... come join the party in the comments!

Julie tells us that both Zach and Jocasta rested easy. Frankie got suspicious of Derrick who then needs to do damage control. Derrick tells Frankie that they might have to send Zach home. Now Derrick's trying to convince Caleb. Caleb can only think that Zach is a number. Now Derrick is thinking once again. "Zach might be a snake, but he's my snake."

Cody runs and tells Christine that Hayden and Nicole wanted to backdoor Frankie. Then he tells Frankie. Oh, let's keep Zach! (When they know Nicole and Hayden want Zach out._

Julie tells them the double HoH twist is dead for the night, it's a double eviction. Tonight's evictees will go to jury and ... just because they're out of the house, it doesn't mean they're out of the game.

Speeches:
Jocasta talks a lot about God and Jesus.
Zach does his planned poem.

The live vote to evict:
Donny -- Zach
Caleb -- Jocasta
Christine -- Jocasta
Derrick -- Jocasta
Cody -- Jocasta
Hayden -- Zach
Frankie -- Jocasta
Victoria -- Jocasta

Jocasta is out and Zach stays ...

The HoH is a more than, less than, or exactly Q&A.
First round -- only Caleb, Christine and Zach are left playing!
Second round -- Zach out.
Third round -- Christine out.

CALEB wins HoH. Yikes!

Live nominations to begin ... Caleb nominates Hayden and Donny.

Team America Mission choices - Evict someone by convincing them to volunteer as a pawn or each TA member make a side alliance with the person they least trust in the house.

Zach, Victoria and Christine will play for PoV. Best of Duck. It's like the clown shoe comp -- bring three ducks one at a time from huge bin of balls.

Donny has won the Power of Veto!!!

Veto meeting -- Donny saves himself. Caleb puts Nicole on the block with Hayden.

The live vote --
Hayden -- Frankie and Christine planted seeds
Nicole -- Frankie and Christine again, people playing super sneaky

The vote to evict --
Cody -- Nicole
Christine -- Hayden
Derrick -- Hayden
Donny -- Nicole
Frankie -- Hayden
Zach -- Hayden
Victoria -- Hayden

Hayden is the second member of the jury.

They will air the two new HOH comp (yes, back to HOH duos and BOB) on Sunday's show. But we'll know before then! It will probably go down tonight and I'll put up a separate post for it.

Big Brother 16: Live Feeds into Thursday - August 7

Caleb is being filled in

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Topsy Turvy and Bunny Slippers:
  • The long feeds blockage last night was indeed the halfway party.
  • The Have Nots and Caleb/Victoria got to eat pizza with everyone else. So, now no one can whine (Caleb!) that they're starving to death heading into the comp(s) tonight.
  • They could also imbibe. Caleb apparently had a six-pack worth of beer.
  • Well, that's really smart for someone who's been complaining about stomach issues!
  • Zach finally went to the HoH room to talk with Nicole.
  • A bit late for that, I think.
  • He told her that she never was his target. She said he told her she was and put her on the block ... and that she even had a crush on him and why would she want him out if she didn't think she was his target?
  • Oh my.
  • She told him she knows he acts up for television, but her feelings were hurt.
  • She then told him since he came up to talk to her, now she thinks he'll stay.
  • Say WHAT?
  • Oh, there's more!
  • Now, the "big" alliance is back!
  • Derrick rallied the troops and they all think Nicole and Hayden have been playing them against each other.
  • You heard me.
  • Frankie, Christine, Derrick, Cody, Caleb and Zach all think that they've been played by the "outsiders" and have reunited.
  • Well, except Caleb.
  • He doesn't really think much at all; he just gets told stuff.
  • Derrick thinks that Hayden has been protecting Donny.
  • Christine told Cody she did NOT say she'd put him (and Derrick) up on the block.
  • (She did, too!)
  • Derrick decided they have to draw the line -- either vote Zach out OR tell Frankie that Nicole et al wanted to backdoor him, draw him and Christine back in the fold for the numbers.
  • Sigh.
  • They decide on the latter.
  • Cody thinks that Donny orchestrated the whole Hayden/Nicole movement.
  • Now they decide that they need to keep Zach.
  • They plan to let Hayden and Nicole think that Zach is still being voted out, but might tell Victoria.
  • Hmm.
  • The plan is to blindside Hayden/Nicole/Donny with a vote to keep Zach and evict Jocasta.
  • And, as Frankie puts it, "Zankie will survive another day."

Guess who's back together?

Hayden's been playing us!
