BB18: Live Feeds into Sunday Evening - August 14

Ready to serve at any time

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Face It, You Got Got:
  • For the most part, it was in many ways a typical boring Sunday in the house.
  • Sundays have nothing going on except the anticipation of the upcoming PoV meeting tomorrow.
  • That anticipation doesn't really exist this week as the entire house expects Victor not to change his nominations.
  • The recurring theme of the day was Paulie begging.
  • He wants Victor to take Corey down and put him against Natalie.
  • Not gonna happen, Jersey Boy!
  • Everybody, especially Victor, is sick of Paulie's behavior. He went from being quasi-aggressive to sulking to begging.
  • Victor remained very reasonable with him, pointing out that changing Natalie for Corey would reap the same outcome -- Paulie would go home.
  • Paulie claims it would give him hope because he wouldn't be there with his "best friend."
  • Give me (and Victor) a break!
  • You got got, Paulie.
  • Victor reminded Paulie that he was given a chance to play for veto and he lost. Victor didn't have such a chance when Paulie blindsided him.
  • Apparently the stipend is a big thing for Victor. He mentioned it a few times that had he gone home when evicted, the "paychecks" would stop while Paulie continues to get paid through jury.
  • Victor vented a bit to the HoH room camera that he's really getting sick of Paulie's begging.
  • Paulie told James that he'd only stay in jury a few weeks, if that long.
  • After all, he has claustrophobia (that doesn't affect him in the smaller BB house setting) and needs to be free to go wherever he wants.
  • Paulie told him that he came into the house fully expecting to win.
  • Now, everyone going into the house hopes to win. But most don't really expect it to just happen.
  • I guess he's never lost anything in his life!
  • In other news, Paul's secret agent rounds are a hoot. But I bet he's going to get sick of them long before they're over.
  • Corey found Nicole's lost earring after she told him he's no good at finding things. How's that for excitement?
  • Along with saying that he wouldn't go to jury, Paulie said he wouldn't make pies (part of the veto punishment he received).
  • He's making a pie. Thankfully, in addition to a chef hat and apron, they gave detailed instructions and all the supplies.
  • At least it stops him from whining and begging for a while.
  • Paulie went quickly from Powerful Paulie to Pathetic Paulie. Had he not made such a high pedestal for himself to begin with, he'd have more sympathy.

A kiss from Baldwin

They've given him a number, taken away his name

She wasn't expecting mean people

At least it stops the fussing for a while

BB18: Second HoH, Nominations Blog Party - August 14

Hamster watchers ready? For those without the live feeds, we've been promised some of the brouhahas going into last week's double eviction!

As the show airs here on the East Coast, I'll be constantly updating this entry. Refresh the page to get the latest news! As always, the real party is in the comments area!

Okay, the recap's over. Let's get into this!

After Bridgette goes, Michelle cries. Nicole claims she never wanted a deal with her -- she just wanted to see where she was so she could make some decisions. Paulie is mad at Natalie because she told Zakiyah that she was being played by him.

Natalie told all the dirt on Paulie, so Zakiyah went to Paulie (obviously before eviction). He lies to her face. He tells Z that he doesn't like Jersey Girls and that's what Natalie is to him. Yet, Natalie knows he's gone further than flirting with her. She tells James about it. He's not happy.

Paulie is so smug as he tells Natalie she's going home next and makes nasty sexual comments about her chest. She tells Paul, Bridgette and James. That's not behavior James can abide by! Bridgette, Paul and James talk to him. Zakiyah left the room soon while Corey sat there with his vacant-eyed look.

This is showing how Paulie has been all along on the live feeds -- smug and arrogant. He ends up left in a room with Paul, Victor and Bridgette just staring at him. Paul decides to ditch him. He tells us, not Paulie.

James tells Paulie, Nicole and Corey that he's voting Z out. Paulie is in shock. He runs to Paul and accuses him of knowing that Z is going. Paul denies knowing anything about the flip. Paulie continues going on his rant. When James tells him he's an aggressive person, Paulie threatens that he's next out.

They sort of make up, Paulie and James. But, not really.

The HoH has Benny the BB Squirrel, Hollywood Squirrel. It's done in rounds, seeing a video presentation and answering questions.

Round 1
Michelle against James. James wins

Round 2 picked by James --
Paul against Nicole. Paul wins, Nicole eliminated

Round 3 picked by Paul --
Victor against Natalie. Victor wins, Natalie eliminated

Round 4 picked by Victor --
Paulie against Paul. Paul wins, Paulie eliminated

Round 5
James against Victor. Victor wins, James eliminated

Round 6
Paul against Victor. (Paul tells us he'd rather Victor win.)
Victor wins HOH!

Paul wants Victor on the block. Paulie wants the girls targeted. Paul and Victor talk, Paul tries to convince Victor he even has a good reason to put Paulie on the block -- it was Paulie who backdoored him. Paul is Victor's social game, going to talk to James about Paulie and Corey going up. James is on board with the plan.

The care package has arrived! It hit Natalie as it landed! It's for Nicole. She has the power of Super Safety - safe from the block this week. She has a costume and everything.

James tells Natalie that Paulie and Corey will be nominated. She talks to Victor and Paulie, promising to get Michelle in with them.

Nominations ceremony --
Victor nominates Paulie and Corey. Paulie, strongest competitor, has to go for it. Corey, guilty by association.

Paulie cries in the Diary Room. So sad, huh?

Off Topic: That Was the Week It Was - August 14, 2016

Good morning! Since it's Sunday morning, it's time for my weekly off television topic reflection on the week gone by in both words and photographs I've taken along the way. If you're here for Big Brother news, everything I have for you can be found at this link. I'll be posting another live feeds report late tonight as well as live-blogging the aired show. But this ain't that. This post is a year-round regular "feature" while Big Brother is a summer obsession. Or, something like that.

I thought the heat and humidity that has been visiting us for most of the summer was bad. It was nothing compared to this past week's temperatures and accompanying humidity levels. It's been unreal around here. I'm still having sciatica issues and now the weather is against me, as well! Help! Help! Whine! Fuss! How bad is the heat and humidity around here, you ask? It's so bad that they're saying NYC cockroaches will be able to fly! Now, I know that they (palmetto bugs) do that in the South. But it's bad enough they scurry all over the place here. We don't need them flying, too!

Disclaimer: I personally have no cockroaches in my apartment. We have a monthly exterminator coming in to keep it that way. Vincent would get them anyway if I did have them!

I've noticed that all of the street peoples' baby carriages of their life stuff have disappeared from the Plainfield Train Station and the groups of vagrants there are being moved along more regularly. However, they still gather under the trees on the westbound platform side, throwing their beer cans all over the lawn. And now I'm seeing some right up on the platforms taking benches from actual passengers PRETENDING they're train passengers. Sheesh.

I really don't have much more than the photos to share with you. For the first time ever, after leaving home or getting out of work, my camera lens covered with condensation due to the change in temperatures. Gah. It was that hot and humid! I'm used to my eyeglasses doing that, but not the camera!

Clicking on an image will open a larger version.

Just after sunset on Monday

With my unusual weirder than normal work schedule this past week, I arrived back home in Plainfield not long after sunset. I was both surprised and pleased to hear and see several bats flying around. Years back, I used to see a lot of them in the hours around dusk. When white nose syndrome decimated the population and most of their vacant buildings habitat around the Plainfield Train Station were torn down, I wasn't sure they'd ever return. Yeah, I like bats. They're good for the environment and are actually kind of cute in a mouse with wings kind of way! Plus, they like to eat mosquitoes. Yes! Plainfield Train Station.

The 59 bus

The day I took this shot, I was tempted to jump on the bus and head back home! I was on my way to work and the heat was unreal. Of course, I don't live in Newark. But that bus gets me within a block of my apartment in Plainfield. Gavett Place, Plainfield, NJ

BB18: Live Feeds into Sunday - August 14

ZingBot for President cap from the comp

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Pouting Paulie:
  • I last left you with the fact that Victor won the Golden Power of Veto. Now, I'll go into more details.
  • It's now not only Nicole in a costume (Safety Cone) from the HoH comp, but Corey and Paul have their own stuff going on from the veto.
  • Corey has an Uncle Sam type patriotic version of the unitard.
  • Paul has a secret agent suit and appointed rounds he must make.
  • The Veto Comp? Why, it was ... the annual ZingBot appearance!
  • We all know that Michelle kept saying she wanted to experience it. Well, she got her chance. She's not crying, so it couldn't have been horrible. It had something to do with her crying and vomiting. Hmm.
  • ZingBot apparently told Paul to shut up. We live feeders appreciate that, thankyouverymuch.
  • Interesting ... Natalie and Corey both are on medication for ADD. It seems like more than a few hamsters each season lately are in that boat. That never used to be a "thing." It makes me wonder if pharmaceutical companies have something to do with all these cases of ADD diagnosed in recent years. (But that's another topic.)
  • The hamsters all seem sure it will be Paulie being evicted, even Paulie.
  • Corey tossed the idea to Nicole that they should team up with James.
  • Sorry, too late to do that now, Texas Boy!
  • Nicole knows that wouldn't work at this point. She realizes that their connection with Paulie has both of their games doomed at this time. Unless they both pull out solid wins for the rest of the season, they're outnumbered and targeted.
  • It's a sad and somewhat somber Paulie. Instead of saying it's James behind it all like he did over the past few days, it's Natalie.
  • She's an evil, bad, mean person, y'know!
  • Aww, Paulie doesn't want any harsh goodbye messages.
  • He's sensitive, right?
  • Unfortunately, he probably won't get mean goodbyes because no one ever wants to deliberately alienate a jury member.
  • ZingBot must have portrayed Corey and Nicole as the showmance of the season. The Corey zing had something to do with Hayden (Nicole's failed shromance).
  • Corey denied the showmance; Nicole ain't too happy with that!
  • Nicole won a trip to anywhere in the USA during the veto comp. Neither she nor Corey are really sure if Hawaii is part of the USA. @@
  • Nicole said she could always cash the trip in for $5,000 as Zach did with his Germany trip a few seasons ago.
  • Victor's zing was in Spanish, apparently calling him something similar to a d-bag.
  • Paulie, the little Miss FussBudget that he is, is fussing that he doesn't want to go to jury. If he doesn't have the round trip ticket, he just wants out.
  • Others are worrying that he'll self-evict.
  • An ego is a terrible thing to lose, eh?
  • Paulie thinks that he, Corey and Nicole have been ganged up on by the house.
  • Obviously, it was different when he was leading the ganging up!
  • He thinks that James, Paul and Victor are good people (outside the house) while Natalie and Michelle are bad people.
  • Hmm ... sexist much? After all, it's his "good people" who are actually responsible for putting him in the position he's in!
  • Then Paulie said he lied on his application for the show and a psychologist told him not to go on because he has "clinical claustrophobia."
  • Grabbing at straws there, Paulie Boy. That was never a problem when you ran the house and it is now, huh?
  • He continued to mope, whine, fuss throughout the evening and into the night.
  • Oh my gosh. I think this must be what we get these days when children are mollycoddled and everything they do is viewed through rose-colored glasses.
  • Perhaps I should be thankful that life has knocked me on the butt more than a few times, starting much before Paulie's age. Paulie must have always won everything and had everything he ever wanted or he'd be reacting just a tad better with the latest.
  • As James says, "It's a GAME."
  • Victor handed off the $5,000 prize money in the comp to James for the veto. Good. I think James can use the money more. I don't think he earns a heck of a lot and he does have to support his daughter. Plus, it gives Victor the responsibility of keeping his nominations the same without putting anyone else in the position.
  • It seems like the latest final four group is Paul, Victor, Natalie and James. I wouldn't mind that one.
  • (As long as James wins it all!) Heehee!
  • Paulie must have a punishment of making pies on demand from the comp. He says he won't do and will take the penalty votes. After all, he's been ganged up on and his fate is sealed.
  • Meanwhile, Paul is getting into his secret agent punishment gig. He has to make rounds of the house when the red alert goes off, clearing each area. He's trying to rock it.
  • He has his suit, but is allowed to swim with a tie and bathing suit. He also must wear the sunglasses all the time.
  • Paulie's pie punishment also has him doing some kind of anthem.
  • Michelle offered Paulie a sympathy vote. You can guess how that worked out!
  • Michelle keeps acting like she wants Paulie to stay and pep-talking him. I certainly hope that's just game play strategy of some kind.
  • He's grabbing onto the dream, though.
  • She feels sorry for him.
  • I don't. Do you?
  • The veto meeting won't be until tomorrow. I doubt Victor will save either of them, with Paulie being slated to go away. Victor knows that, in physical comps, Paulie is his biggest competition.

Your friends don't dance, they're no friends of mine

BB18: Live Feeds Announcement - Power of Veto - Saturday, August 13

Nope, not Paulie!

VICTOR WON THE POWER OF VETO!

The others just want to make sure he doesn't change the nominations. I don't think he will.

BB18: Live Feeds into Saturday - August 13

Nicole thinks it was all James's doing

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Erupting Egos:
  • Oh, the live feeds after nominations were some of the best ones ever!
  • You know I love kerfuffles and brouhahas!
  • While gathered in the kitchen, Paulie did his best to stare everybody down. It was like he didn't know who he wanted to kill first.
  • While I haven't been a huge Victor fan and the move to nominate Paulie and Corey was actually Paul not Victor ... I have to give the dude credit for standing his ground while Paulie just kept at him and at him.
  • Victor told Paulie that they all knew he had alliances more than the guys alliance -- he had an alliance with Corey and Nicole.
  • Paulie denied it.
  • In front of Corey and Nicole.
  • Victor told him that he was at least giving him a chance to save himself with the veto, a chance that he himself never had.
  • But Paulie was relentless.
  • James kept saying, "It's just a game."
  • Victor said that since Paulie didn't like any of his reasons for nominating him, "Okay, I have no strategy."
  • That didn't work either.
  • Meanwhile, during all of this, Corey sat sipping from his sippycup making odd facial expressions while keeping his eyes vacant.
  • A few times voices were raised a bit from both Victor and Paulie. And, each time Victor bristled, Paulie roughly accused him of wanting to get physical.
  • Um. I saw BOTH of them bristle. I saw no real indication that fisticuffs were imminent from Victor.
  • But if Paulie's eyes could kill, it would have been a mass murder scene.
  • In a later talk with Corey and Nicole, Nicole decided this whole thing was James's doing and she needs to make amends with him.
  • Once Nicole talked to James, she realized that Paulie was the main target. She advised Corey to lay as low as possible and let Paulie make the target on himself even bigger.
  • Michelle admitted to Nicole that laughing when Paulie went on the block was rude and wrong, but she couldn't help it. Nicole, Natalie and Michelle all said they know they've laughed at inappropriate times.
  • Michelle said she would apologize to him (and later did).
  • That was another huge rambling rant from Paulie -- kicking him while he was down. Oh, like he didn't laugh or mock Michelle during one of her many crying jags!
  • Paulie ran around the house trying to blow up the games of others, mostly to no avail.
  • Y'see, ratting out James to Natalie and vice versa just isn't going to work. They've already talked and know the truths and lies and even areas where they've conflicted during the game.
  • Ha!
  • A few times, Paulie was fighting back either real or really good fake tears.
  • I don't think he's ever thought that he might not rule the roost.
  • He kept going on about loyalty even though it was pointed out that most of his moves had nothing to do with loyalty, but getting out targets that were his own, not for the good of others.
  • He was so pathetic that even Michelle started feeling sorry for him.
  • Gag me with a spoon.
  • Paulie asked Paul if he could sleep with him in his bed because he doesn't like sleeping alone. Hmm.
  • A lot will depend on the veto and if either Paulie or Corey hold the return trip ticket.
  • It's good this game got into gear!

BB18: Live Feeds into Friday Evening, Nominations - August 12

King of Vacant Odd Faces

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Blatant Betrayals:
  • Once again, they slept really late.
  • When they finally made their way out of their beds (or car), the screen in the living room said NOMINATIONS TODAY.
  • Paulie just can't get over things.
  • Bridgette and Michelle slandered his good name!
  • (What good name is that?)
  • He wants to win PoV tomorrow and he'll show everyone!
  • Of course, he's not considering that he might very well be on the block.
  • He kept sulking, ranting, whining about people turning on him.
  • Heh.
  • Nicole got the care package. It seems more punishment than prize. She has to wear a costume. She did get safety for a week. But her Safety Hero costume looks like a Halloween comical witch. I guess she's supposed to be a safety cone. She also got hair scrunchies, insect repellent and a few other tidbits.
  • Now, that costume would be a hoot on Corey!
  • Corey and Nicole tried to calm Paulie down. They said he doesn't want to put a target on himself. After all, it's Michelle who's going home.
  • Or ... is it?
  • Paulie at this point might as well wear a Target-tard.
  • Nicole thinks she was sent the package because Michelle called her a snake.
  • I don't know. I didn't send it!
  • Paulie got to the point of claiming that Nicole's season had the best ratings, James's season had the worst.
  • He is so put out!
  • How DARE people not do his will?!?!?
  • It seems like the plan to nominate Paulie and Corey is still strong as the hours head towards the nominations.
  • As I wait here for the feeds to return from the nominations ceremony, I can only hope Victor makes the move.
  • At the moment, the feeds have been down about an hour.
  • So I'm just wasting time typing snippets of nothing right now.
  • The repeating Jeff interview loop for this is one with Austin. Ick. Although, he's more bearable in the interview than he was in the house. He has a shirt on and no beard ponytail junk. He does still have a beard and is sporting a man-bun.
YES! Victor did it! Paulie is sitting around nodding his head with a serial killer look in his eyes as he keeps staring at everybody. Corey is his usual rather vacant-eyed sippycup self, but subdued. Natalie told Michelle that the guys were laughing at her (Michelle) crying so she shouldn't feel bad that she laughed at them. Heh.

Paulie and Corey are on the block!

What is with these odd faces?!?!

Nicole's "prize" reeks of "punishment"

Cuddled in a car

They besmirched my good name! Slander!

BB18: Live Feeds into Friday, Second HoH - August 12

Yes, you are cringeworthy, Paulie

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Broken Dreams:
  • The live feeds came back immediately after the show ended on the East Coast, but the HoH comp was yet to come.
  • Ohh, there's dirty laundry all over the place.
  • And I'm not talking the kind that Tide detergent can handle!
  • Paulie is threatening that his brother and Derrick will tear apart Bridgette.
  • Say what?
  • He quickly adjusted his statement to "on social media." But the damage is done. I haven't been following Cody and Derrick, but I would hope they have more common sense than Paulie.
  • He also said his sister would beat up Michelle and Bridgette.
  • I say, "Please move out of New Jersey, Paulie. You're making the state in which I live look like it's back in the dark ages."
  • Michelle and Nicole talked. Nicole is still a bit in shock about being called a snake twice on national television.
  • She can't fathom why Michelle said it.
  • Every instance of sneakiness that Michelle mentioned, Nicole rebutted it was strategy.
  • That whole talk went pretty much nowhere in the end.
  • But they didn't kill each other.
  • Hmm. I wonder if BB has a biohazard team standing by after brouhahas?
  • While Nicole is in shock about being called a snake, Michelle is in shock that she's still in the house, not Bridgette.
  • Natalie told her it's because Bridgette is a feminist.
  • Um. I don't think that's quite why. I think it's because Bridgette can win comps, Michelle pretty much sucks at them. Bridgette can turn on a social and manipulation game, Michelle breaks down and cries.
  • Don't worry, Michelle. You're on the short list to go.
  • Corey didn't waste any time going for food. Being a Have Not is not his thing.
  • Paulie told Paul that he has a personal vendetta against James, but will stick with the Executives.
  • James has been quite quiet throughout. This isn't the outcome he wanted.
  • Before the second HoH comp, Paulie said he would put Natalie and James on the block if he wins. Victor said he's nominate Michelle and Natalie.
  • Corey would like America to know the girls were wrong and Paulie was in the right.
  • Jackie would like Corey to know he's absolutely wrong. Just go back to looking vacant and smiling a lot.
  • Corey says Paulie cares a lot and means well.
  • I say, "Go get a room. We know what we see."
  • Natalie and Paulie had a bit of a dust-up. But no fisticuffs.
  • James claims his vote cancellations weren't to get at Paulie. He thought that Zakiyah needed to go and that was the best opportunity.
  • Paulie bragged about having sex with Zakiyah five or six times in the house.
  • I bet that makes his mother proud of him, huh?
  • The feeds were blocked for the second HoH comp.
  • When they came back ... Victor is wearing the HoH key. He's the HoH now. Oh noes! I suppose it could be worse. It could have been Paulie. Before the comp, Paul and Victor were talking about backdooring Paulie. If only ...! That would be epic! Legendary!
  • The immediate talk about target has Michelle going home, no surprise there.
  • Paul tried to tell Paulie that getting Zakiyah out was needed because she was using him and taking him off game.
  • Paulie and Corey are confident that Victor won't target them.
  • It's like a house of testosterone and chest thumping.
  • @@
  • Paulie, sure that they'll be targeting the girls, says he's not forgetting that James flipped the house on him.
  • But ... stop the presses!
  • PAUL is trying to convince Victor they need to target Paulie and Corey! Woot! Woot!
  • Victor, rightfully I might add, is worried that if he does that, Paulie will win veto.
  • Perhaps Paulie has his little grudge against James now. But Victor has a bigger grudge against Paulie. He knows Paulie was responsible for backdooring him.
  • Paul tells him he'll handle all of the social aspect of it because Victor's social game isn't as strong.
  • And, amazingly so, Paul went to work.
  • Heck, he even made Paulie feel that he was totally on his side.
  • Paul told James that Paulie is trying to run Victor's HoH again, but he won't let that happen.
  • Instead, Paul will run Victor's HoH for him.
  • But, the big difference is ... I think Victor agrees with Paul's choices. Paulie's targets were always good just for Paulie's game.
  • They managed to get Natalie, James, Michelle in with them. So, there's four votes against Paulie, Nicole and Corey, two of whom can't vote. Even if one of them wins veto, the other will go home and they have the choice of putting up Nicole up and the remaining dude would go home.
  • Meanwhile, Paulie is still badmouthing Natalie, Bridgette and James. Hopefully, to no avail.
  • Nicole went to Victor, saying that she thinks she's good with him and he won't put her on the block, But she just wants to let him know that he's not a target of hers.
  • Of course, Corey and Paulie just assume that Victor won't put them on the block.
  • You know what happens when you assume.
  • I just hope this all comes together.
  • It's time to play the game and I'm not talking obnoxious Paulie's game!

C'mon, James! Kick it in gear!

The man with the key.

Michelle lived through it all. For now.

Who wants to see my HoH Basket?

I'm not a snake. Right, Corey?

Ho ho ho, it's time for you or Paulie to go

Let's get this party started!

Recap, recap. I wish the narrator would stop calling Michelle "Big Meech." No wonder the girl has insecurities about her weight. She is not overweight, nor big.

Heh, Julie said a lot has happened in the house the last 24 hours. Best live feeds all season! She tells us everything has changed for Paulie. Yup. Bridgette is ready to go after Paulie by taking out his showmance, Zakiyah. Even Paul is butting heads with him some.

Michelle hits up James to use his two vote cancellation power. He's noncommittal to her. But he tells us Zakiyah going home would be better for him. When he realizes how many on board with it, he tells us it's time to stir things up. He goes to Paul about it.

Julie tells them it's Double Eviction. Paul is wearing his silly floatie. Onto the first eviction.

Zakiyah - Says hi, great summer, great people, enjoyed, do what you'll do.
Michelle - Congrats, Paulie. They're giving you the check.

James blocks Paul and Corey's votes. They won't be voting at all.

The votes to evict:
Paulie -- Michelle
Natalie -- Zakiyah
Nicole -- Michelle
James -- Zakiyah
Bridgette -- Zakiyah

The plan went down as planned. Her ticket was one way, so she's heading to jury.

First HoH -- Julie will ask statistics based on the season, they answer more or less.
1. How long was Glenn part of the house -- more or less than 20 hours
More, over 28, Paulie and Bridgette out.
2. During Perfect Shot, how many points with red ball. More or less than 100.
    More. COREY wins HoH.

Gah. Paulie might as well have won it.

Heh, He's lost. He's asking all the Executives what to do. James said he can put him up.

Back to the living room. Corey nominates Bridgette and Michelle.

Paul, Nicole and James were chosen to play for PoV with Corey and the nominees.

Comp is called Veto Time, race to ball pit, three clocks, one at a time, retrieve and place in clock holders. It's reminiscent of Jeff's clown shoe escapade. Corey wins Power of Veto. (Sigh.)

Uh-oh. Paulie, Paul and Nicole talk to him.

Veto meeting --
Bridgette -- Don't think you'll save me, great if you did.
Michelle -- Don't expect you to use it, will miss you.

The nominations remain the same.

Bridgette -- Would love to stay, clear on my target.
Michelle -- Will be happy, Nicole is a snake, blew Paulie's game up, don't trust Nicole.

The votes to evict:
Natalie - Michelle
Paulie - Bridgette
Nicole - Bridgette
Victor - Bridgette
James - Bridgette
Paul - Bridgette

Bridgette is evicted. Michelle cries. Sheesh. Will Bridgette have the return trip ticket? Nope. She's headed to jury.

The second HoH comp won't be on the show, probably not immediately after it, either. Julie promises us that Sunday will show some of the brouhahas and kerfuffles I reported on the last few live feeds reports.

BB18: Live Feeds into Thursday - August 11

Are her eyes really opened?

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Disingenuous Dawgs:
  • Whoa. What a night!
  • While Paulie threatened "Jersey Girl" Natalie with showing the whole world what she, the "floater" is, we have all seen his true colors.
  • And, they ain't too pretty.
  • For him, most of the night was a I'm Great Pauliefest.
  • You know he can haunt you for years with simple words.
  • He's just that powerful.
  • (I think Cody and Derrick are probably cringing and wonder what monster they've created with their game advice.)
  • He just can't understand why everybody seems to have turned against him.
  • Perhaps it's because he's an egotistical creep?
  • His main ally seems to be Yes Man Corey at this point.
  • It turns out that Vacant Eyes Corey is angry that Natalie and James got the first two care packages.
  • Zakiyah ran to Paulie spilling the beans on everything Natalie told her, of course.
  • Paulie just might have steam coming from his ears.
  • Paulie sought out Victor, who claimed he knew nothing about what Natalie had said about him (Paulie).
  • If memory serves (it's been a bit of a whirlwind), he doesn't really know what she said, but he does know that the plan has switched back to voting out Zakiyah as was his initial desire all along with the nominations.
  • Paulie thinks he can just tell James to order Natalie to shut her mouth.
  • @@
  • First off, Paulie, James isn't that kind of guy. Second, James knows you're using Zakiyah and playing her for your own game.
  • James told Corey he's tired of being played and lied to ... it happened last season and he's not going to let it happen this season.
  • Corey had his vacant and confused look on. You never know what sinks in and what flies over top his head.
  • Paulie suspects Bridgette is only telling them she's against the girls while in reality she's working with them.
  • Y'think?
  • He thinks Bridgette told Zakiyah he dropped right after her in the comp, Um. Did he think that no one noticed?
  • Vacant Corey came to life enough to mention that Paulie always has Paul and Victor protecting him. I'd add ... and Corey.
  • Paulie, now trying everything to discredit Bridgette's game, told James that Bridgette said that she would target James.
  • Well, she did. But he's certainly not her target now. He's way far down on her list.
  • Meanwhile, Zakiyah reported back to Natalie that she told Paulie just to see his reaction.
  • Of course, she really didn't need to snuggle with him again.
  • What is wrong with that girl? Where is her pride?
  • Paulie also turned on Paul, telling James and Corey that Paul betrayed him.
  • It's a good thing James is closed-mouthed and doesn't say whatever comes to mind like others.
  • Paulie wants the final three to be himself, Corey and James.
  • Bwahaha!
  • James, continuing the guise, told Paulie that maybe he should cancel Bridgette and Paul's vote.
  • Nicole told James he better not cancel one of their votes (meaning the votes to oust Michelle).
  • She thinks he needs to cancel Natalie's vote.
  • I'm not sure that would be in his best interest, Nicole.
  • Although he seems to be waffling a bit under pressure, James told Bridgette he would be voting for Michelle to stay. "It's James and the Underdogs."
  • Paul and Victor, though not privy to the Underdogs Inner Circle, are making plans for the end game sans their buddy Paulie.
  • Heh.
  • Zakiyah claims the game isn't good for her health.
  • It's not good for anyone's health.
  • Including mine.
  • Paulie is growing quietly manic. He tried to stare Bridgette down during one of the many confrontations of the evening. He couldn't shake her.
  • But Natalie is now a bit frightened of him because he's so angry.
  • Paulie's angry words to the women have gotten James even more irked at him. James is one who believes that chivalry isn't dead. And, he can cancel two votes.
  • The girls overhear Corey and Paulie laughing at their expense.
  • They don't find it funny. The resolve grows.
  • Paulie really lit into Natalie, belittling her and being a bully.
  • So not good a move, bro!
  • Paulie's only defender seems to be Corey. Nicole is claiming it's a very catty season. I'm disappointed with her this year.
  • Paul is upset that his name was brought up in the brouhaha.
  • Well, maybe he should have stayed in bed.
  • Paulie reassured Zakiyah that it will be Michelle going home by a unanimous vote.
  • I don't think that will be the case!
  • James told Natalie that he has her back ... and it should be Zakiyah going home if indeed he does.
  • Paul warned Natalie and Bridgette that Zakiyah is reporting anything they say to Paulie.
  • Paul and James talked. James told him things Paulie said like, "I'm over Paul."
  • They both commented on Paulie saying at different times he wanted both of them to go.
  • They also know that Corey is "devoted" (Paul's description) to Paulie, thus will be Nicole.
  • But they aren't.
  • It looks like it very well could be a house flip tonight with Zakiyah saying goodbye because they can't evict Paulie at the moment.
  • But he's on the short list.

And the walls came tumbling down?

I'm strong and I'm mad

We WILL uprise!

BB18: Live Feeds into Wednesday Evening - August 10

I flashbacked to see the time they finally got up

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Possible Turning Tides:
  • They need to stop staying up all night! Today it was around 5:30pm here by the time they started their day.
  • Gah.
  • Paulie is still upset that Natalie told James of his off color remarks to and about her.
  • "Typical Jersey girl."
  • Say what?!?!?
  • Paulie thinks Paul is getting too nervous about the upcoming eviction. And, if he calms Paul down, Victor will follow suit.
  • Um.
  • Actually, I think Paul has come to the realization that Paulie has been totally running the whole house, including him.
  • Bridgette told Victor about the plan to flip the house (and vote out Zakiyah). He's happy about it because he's wanted Zakiyah out all along.
  • Natalie wanted forever to talk to Zakiyah to let her know that Paulie has betrayed her. But Paulie and Company kept Zakiyah pretty well secluded.
  • She finally got her chance.
  • She told her the things Paulie has been saying about her and how he isn't loyal to her. Zakiyah said she had been thinking that herself.
  • Now she's feels stupid.
  • Well, duh.
  • She starts crying.
  • Natalie tells her the main reason she (Zakiyah) is on the block is because of Paulie.
  • Well, duh.
  • Natalie also works in her anti-Nicole bit and Zakiyah agrees that she's never really trusted Nicole.
  • Despite giving Zakiyah some interest and support, the flipping the house plan and evicting her is still in the works.
  • Too bad. Zakiyah made herself collateral damage the second she latched onto Paul and never even attempted to play the game for herself.
  • Tomorrow night should be very interesting!

That's right. Just smile and look pretty.

Talking past BB they've never seen

The plan really might work!?!?

BB18: Power of Veto Show Blog Party - August 10

Hamster watchers ready? Let's get this show going!

As the show airs here on the East Coast, I'll be constantly updating this entry. Refresh the page to get the latest news! As always, the real party is in the comments area!

Just a quick note before the show starts -- tomorrow's live eviction show is being preempted in many areas due to sports of some type. Here in the NYC viewing area, WCBS2 is airing the game. But Big Brother will be aired on the sister station WLNY 10/55 at its regular time. Please check your local listings!

Okay, done with the recap, let's get to it!

Michelle cries after the nominations. She cries more and more. Zakiyah thinks the only person she trusts is Paulie and doesn't know why she's on the block. Michelle cries some more. All the girls try to console her while the guys celebrate.

She can't understand why Paulie's not up on the block. She calls Paulie out to his face. Meanwhile, Paul tells Victor that Zakiyah should go because she's so unconcerned with the nomination. Paulie wants Michelle out. Zakiyah gets a clue when Paulie hesitates when she asks if he would take her down if he wins the veto.

Michelle and Zakiyah talk. Z isn't sure Paulie had anything to do with her going on the block. But Michelle thinks the nominations are Paulie's doing.

Paul and Paulie talk. Paul wants Zakiyah out, Paulie would prefer Michelle go. They discuss the pros and cons of both.

Paulie decides to work on James to use his two vote cancellation power to keep Zakiyah in the house. James does his usual nodding and grunting. He tells Paulie that he doesn't want to use votes that will get others mad at him.

Time to pick veto players! Victor wants the nominations to remain the same with Zakiyah getting voted out this week. He draws Nicole. Michelle draws James. Zakiyah gets Houseguest's Choice. Of course, she picks Paulie.

Veto comp time has host Paul dressed in red lifeguard gear calling for all the floaters. It's Hide and Go Veto -- the one that James wrecked the house and won in his season. They have to each hide a veto card, then the others search for it. After the fifth veto card is found, they see whose card hasn't been found and that person is the veto winner.

James is destroying things like he did in his veto. Nicole is the first one to find a card -- Victor's, hidden in Bridgette's duffel bag. Victor claims the kitchen mess (James) is nomination worthy. Nicole finds a second veto -- Zakiyah's. James found Michelle's card. Victor finds James's card. The comp is lasting so long that the audience is falling asleep. Victor finds the last card.

The reveal - Victor, Zakiyah, Michelle, James, Nicole ... all eliminated. Paulie wins the Golden Power of Veto.

Zakiyah is dancing around kissing Paulie. Paul advises Paulie to leave the noms the same and let Zakiyah go.

Paulie tells Zakiyah that even if he doesn't use the veto, Michelle will go home. He tells her gently he won't use it unless he hears buzz that she's going.

Paulie tells James that Paul wants to team up with Michelle and Victor to get rid of couples and that Paul is flipping.

Time for the veto meeting. He gives them a chance to plead their cases. Michelle was rather dismissive. Zakiyah came across better. He does NOT use the veto.

James tells us the care package had his name on it and he will do what he wants to do with it.

We can only hope so.

Paulie tries to influence James

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Mixed Messages:
  • They pulled another all nighter, at least most of them did.
  • Y'know, this gets very tiring for us who live east coast time and have to work real jobs, not give up all to be on a reality show!
  • Not that I would ever want to be in that hamster house anyway, mind you.
  • At least some of the evening was eventful strategy-wise.
  • Natalie keeps trying to convince James that they should save Michelle this week or Paulie will win the game.
  • He's reluctant as, by doing that, it would "piss off" the majority of the house and he's not quite ready to make that move for fear of his own game.
  • Unfortunately, he doesn't realize how much his name has been tossed around. He really needs to kick his game into gear.
  • Frank would be pleased with his little Cabbage Patch Kid.
  • Bridgette talked separately to Michelle and Natalie, telling them how Frank told her that Paulie is running the house and, if they don't get him out, he'll win.
  • Well, duh!
  • Of course, the "Nicole is evil" strain came into the talk, too.
  • But Paulie is more dangerous for the actual win.
  • Michelle is still planning to "blow up" Paulie's game if/when evicted Thursday.
  • She still thinks he was coached by Derrick and is playing Derrick's game.
  • While I have no doubts Derrick gave him some advice, the games of the two are nothing alike.
  • Michelle is still pushing her anti-Nicole agenda.
  • They need to concentrate on Paulie! Sheesh. Nicole isn't good at winning comps. Paulie seems to win whatever ones he wants to win.
  • He claims he doesn't want to win the next HoH.
  • We'll see whether he wants to or not.
  • It seems that Michelle's grudge against Nicole stems from Bronte getting voted out. That was a lifetime ago.
  • Michelle thinks Paulie is afraid of her.
  • Bwahahahaha!
  • Ahem.
  • Bridgette thinks that if they can convince Paulie that voting out Zakiyah is better for his game, the rest will follow suit.
  • Well, yeah. The hard part would be convincing him, though.
  • Bridgette decides that she'll flirt with Paulie to (1) give him another interest other than Zakiyah and (2) make Zakiyah act out in hopes she'll blow up her game with Paulie and get voted out.
  • Now, I don't like Bridgette. But she's finally actually playing the game and not sponging off of Frank. I like that.
  • Michelle really tried to influence James. She doesn't have the mist, for sure.
  • James pointed out that if it's a double eviction and they kept her the first one, he and she would be on the block. She claimed that, in that case, she would be the one voted out over him. Plus, she promised to save him with the veto if she wins it. I can't see the latter really happening.
  • Natalie told James about many demeaning/sexual comments Paulie has made to and about her.
  • Now, that hit a nerve with James. He knows that his showmance with Natalie is more of a friendmance than anything. And, while he always talks a big game with women, he's more of a gentleman and good friend with many women. Certainly a world of difference from Paulie!
  • Bridgette also approached James about targeting Paulie.
  • Is a movement afoot? Why, yes, I believe it is! And, it's led by the Cabbage Patch Kid. Who woulda thunk it?
  • James finally acquiesced and said, if they can get the majority of the house aboard, he'll go with it. He doesn't think it's the right time to rock the boat.
  • Meanwhile, we know that Paul and Victor have been rumbling a bit about Paulie even though Paul and Paulie have mentioned Victor's name more than a few times.
  • Would they jump the Paulie ship and get him out if they can?
  • I'm thinking it would definitely have to be a backdoor renom. Any chance he would have to play in comp would be dangerous.
  • Paul and Paulie talked. Paul says the couples are getting too strong. He proposed James out next. Um, Paul. You could break up Zakiyah/Paulie this week! (Even though they're just using each other.)
  • Paulie is still hell-bent on getting Michelle out this week.
  • James told Natalie he's sure he won't be put on the block.
  • WAKE UP, JAMES! Your name is getting tossed around way too much!
  • Zakiyah told Nicole that she overheard Paulie say that he wouldn't miss her (Zakiyah) if she goes.
  • Hmm.
  • I have no doubts he said it. I've heard very similar from him. But I think she's just trying to garner favor.
  • After investigating around, Bridgette reported back to James that it seems the flip to keep Michelle won't work with the numbers.
  • They both hope Michelle has the return ticket.
  • Then Paulie came along and told James that Bridgette will nominate him (James) and either Nicole or Zakiyah.
  • Of course, Bridgette had left before he said that.
  • Continuing his rounds, Paulie told Natalie that Michelle has had it out for her since she got the first care package.
  • Continuing to make his rounds, Paulie agreed to Zakiyah that he's still her "boo" and defended not using the veto because Michelle is a sure bet to go home.
  • Michelle is making rounds of her own, preaching anti-Nicole and keeping her (Michelle) in the game. She hit Paul up.
  • She told him she thinks she can get James and he could rule out two votes to keep Zakiyah. If he would get in on it, they might have the numbers.
  • He seemed receptive (he moreso wanted Zakiyah out from the beginning), but told her that it has to be certain that James will go along with it.
  • James confronted Paulie about the remarks he made to Natalie. Paulie actually admitted them, but claimed to be joking around. James (and Natalie) doesn't think it's funny.
  • Bridgette told Natalie that "they" (Paulie and Company) want to put her (Natalie) and James on the block.
  • Michelle tells Natalie that, if she stays, she wouldn't put her (Natalie) and James on the block.
  • Um. She'd have to win something in order to do that.
  • In the last talks of this report, James seems willing to go with the Keep Michelle Plan even though he predicts it the excrement will hit the fan.
  • I said excrement. He used another word. I try to keep this blog rather clean. I don't want that excrement all over the walls here!

Ohh, Bridgette and Natalie get the strategy bug

Meanwhile, Michelle pops her pimples

Shiny happy people

Paulie continues his rounds

Obviously driven insane, call the white coats!
