Big Brother 14: Live Feeds Into Monday Wee Hours - Aug. 18-20

Gals in a hammock

At least this season, I don't have to watch Adam standing around all the time. True, I have to listen to Danielle and Joe (both of whom are annoying), but enduring Adam was worse last year. So ... what's been happening inside that Big Brother House of As the Hamster Turns? Read on ...
  • Ashley and Frank really think that Dan needs to go next.
  • After she talked to Shane, Ashley is confident that the replacement nominee will be Joe, Ian or Dan.
  • Buzzzz ... wrong!
  • Joe thinks he has it wrapped up with his latest "news" he's heard within the house -- Ian betrayed his own team!
  • Yep, it was IAN who mentioned cheating immediately after veto to Dan, etc. thus throwing Boogie and Frank under the bus.
  • Well, that's quite the revelation, eh?
  • Of course, it doesn't really matter now so much that Ian isn't "with" Boogie and Frank.
  • And, if Joe wants to use it as Ian can't be trusted, telling the Quack Pack isn't going to mean anything.
  • The Quack Pack minus double agent Ian, think that Ashley has a thing for Frank and can't be trusted.
  • They think Jenn is more honest, but they still think that she would be the better one to put on the block with Boogie.
  • Jenn is more honest because she "said mean things about Dan."
  • The Quack Pack is trying to decide what Shane should say when he nominates her in Frank's place.
  • Ian earlier pointed out that all of that team is in color on the Memory Wall.
  • Ian hurt his ankle playing badminton.
  • Poor kid.
  • Boogie is more resigned to the fact he'll be going home.
  • Poor Boogie.
  • Not.
  • Ian thinks they'll wait until next week for the double eviction so that one person isn't sent to the jury alone.
  • We know he's wrong.
  • With the numbers this week, Boogie should go home. Whoever is the second boot on Thursday should be the first member of the jury.
  • If I were in that house, I'd relish a week alone.
  • Wouldn't you?
  • Sheesh, they just mention "Dairy Queen" and we get fishes.
  • That's one of the code words for Diary Room.
  • Well, as I close ... although they definitely think Ashley is more sketchy and shady, Jenn should be the replacement nominee.

Being Frank to all

Hang down your head, Boogie Malin, hang down your head and cry

Britney is safe, but what about the second boot?

Dan is steady at his game

Big Brother 14: Live Feeds Into Sunday Evening - Aug. 19

Joe pontificating with Britney

"Actions speak louder than words." - Mike "Boogie" Malin

Of course, all there have been all day are words, words and more words. In the end, all that will matter is the decision Shane makes when he replaces Frank tomorrow in the PoV meeting. Actually, that probably won't even matter. I can't see Boogie NOT going home this week. How about you? Think he has any chance to stay?

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Hectic Hamsters:
  • Joe is saying that Boogie and Frank cheated in the PoV comp.
  • Boogie and Frank now hate Joe.
  • Supposedly, even if they were cheating, the result would have been the same -- a Frank win.
  • We don't know as they blocked the feeds for almost seven hours for the PoV comp and its aftermath.
  • Frank and Boogie know that Ian thinks a lot of Dan.
  • Frank thinks Dan will use Ian and then dump him.
  • As if he and Boogie would never do that!
  • Apparently Joe also somehow almost got Ian disqualified in the PoV.
  • I just don't know.
  • Too much trivia and fishes.
  • Boogie is tired of everyone in the house.
  • I'm tired of him.
  • We'll probably both be granted our wishes this week.
  • Boogie is promising people he'll have their backs if they keep him in the house.
  • Here's a novel idea, Boogie. Their backs won't need that much cover if you're gone!
  • Britney and Shane think that Danielle is overly emotional.
  • Y'think? Really?
  • Britney thinks it's going to be very hard to get Frank out of the house.
  • Y'think? I mean, he's only survived how many times so far? The guy hasn't even cast a vote yet as he goes from nominated to HoH in a cycle.
  • Ian got all excited because Frank and Boogie were going to "go off" on Joe in the backyard.
  • He even made popcorn.
  • Sigh. It was a bust.
  • Of course, Joe (who I feel has a bit of Willie Hantz in him) is unpredictable.
  • I think 90% of that is just flustering foolishness, though.
  • Joe thinks he's in with the HoH crew.
  • Others think Joe butters up whoever is in power and they will cast him aside.
  • Well, yeah. Who seriously wants Joe for more than a vote?
  • The guy's nutty!
  • The Quack Pack figured out it had to be Ashley telling Boogie and Frank that Joe went to the Diary Room to complain about the alleged PoV cheating.
  • Joe told Frank he hasn't been talking about him or saying anything bad for at least two days.
  • BWAHAHAHAHA!
  • Darn, if you're going to lie, at least make it believable.
  • The Quack Pack plus Frank are now more sure than ever that Ashley is "working with" Frank and Boogie.
  • Frank and Boogie are still trying in vain (most likely) to have Shane put up Dan as the replacement nominee.
  • I don't think that's gonna happen.
  • Boogie had a poor pitiful me talk with Britney.
  • Britney later talked about poor pitiful Boogie recently selling his Bentley.
  • Poor Boogie.
  • Boogie is upset that Joe has gone to Dan when he (Boogie) is the one with restaurant and TV connections who could get him a chef show.
  • Yeah, like he would do that.
  • There are moments that it seems like it's really sinking in to Boogie that he will be leaving this week and it saddens him.
  • Aw, poor Boogie.
  • Could those have been real tears he shed while talking with Britney?
  • He told Frank they were.
  • Ian confirmed with Dan that he'll be voting Boogie out this week.
  • Dan reminded Ian that he took all the Frank/Boogie heat when he could have just told them about him (Ian) and his role.
  • Ian is grateful.
  • Me? I'd remind Dan that HE is one of the crew who recruited ME to spy for them and put the blame right back on them!
  • But Ian is more gentle than am I.
  • Frank and Boogie think Ian might be wishy-washy.
  • Heh.
  • Jenn tried to talk the get Dan out bit to Shane, saying he was a slick player and throwing comps.
  • I'd say he already knows, but Shane isn't the brightest bulb in the pack.
  • But I also doubt he'll cross the line and put Dan up.
  • He's already in a bunch of hurt for his initial power move at the request of others.
  • Ashley and Jenn have been drinking the Boogie Kool-Aid.
  • They're expendable, so it doesn't really matter.
  • It's up in the air who Shane will put up, but it's likely to be either Ashley or Jenn.
  • The PoV meeting isn't until tomorrow.
  • The tension goes on ...

Danielle talks with her mouth full

Shane's really styling, right?

Big Brother 14: HoH Results and Nominations Show Blog Party - Aug. 19

BB12 Blogo 3

It seems like so long ago, but the TV viewing audience will get treated to the endurance comp result, HoH winner and nominations tonight. Well, at least those items should be on the agenda!

The show will be starting on time tonight here in the NYC viewing area. Yay! I say that because the season finale of Falling Skies is on at 9pm. I don't want to delay that.

As the show airs here, I'll be updating this entry with major happenings, so please refresh to see the latest news. However, the real fun is in the comments area. Come join us! We don't bite ... hard (as Dr. Will would say).

In the HoH comp, lots of falls. Ouch. Britney won Safety. Boogie got the ten grand. Shane wins HoH.
Ohhh ... the big HoH room reveal. As Boogie says, lots of pictures of his dog, none of his father. His letter was from his sister.

Now we see Ian telling Britney that Boogie was pressuring him to put up Britney and/or Shane if he had won HoH. Britney lets Shane, etc. know. The Quack Pack decides that Frank and Boogie should go on the block together.

Uh-oh, Britney is going to Nair Ian's armpits! The agony! His date with Ashley was a bomb, not the bomb.

They found balls leading to the arcade room where there is now a question mark on a cube in with the balls in the machine.

Nominations today.

Key order: Britney can't be nominated. Danielle, Dan, Jenn, Ashley, Joe, Ian. Boogie and Frank are on the block. Let the fireworks begin!

Big Brother 14: Live Feeds Into Sunday - Aug. 19

Ian yawns, Jackie yawns

I've been a bit on the sidelines with a sprained finger. Ouch, that makes typing more of a task! With the huge feeds blackout yesterday, it wasn't so bad. But I waited so long for the feeds to come back that I didn't cover the fiasco over the drawing for PoV.

It was actually much ado about nothing, built up on the various sites. Boogie apparently got HG Choice, chose Ian. Then, when Frank drew his chip, it was Ian's named as such chip. He had to redraw. He got Ashley. Production didn't like the camera angle they had for the redraw, asked him to do it again. He palmed the Ashley chip and redrew it for the camera. That's all. Not everything is sneaky, Pete!

What has happened since PoV/? Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Guys and Grills:
  • Yes, they got the grill. Joe practically had an orgasm over it.
  • As Joe did Tim Tyler Tooltime grunting, Britney classically rolled her eyes.
  • So did I.
  • But she does it so much better.
  • Earlier, others had made plans for cooking because Joe "didn't feel like it."
  • But the grill changed all that!
  • Ashley is upset with Ian because he apparently said she threw the PoV comp.
  • He apologized. She said she wanted to win.
  • But, seriously folks ... can Ashley win anything? Well, perhaps more than Joe, but ...!
  • BB gave them booze.
  • Frank and Boogie are still on their "get Dan out" agenda.
  • Although I prefer Dan to Boogie, technically they're right. Dan is doing the same thing he did in his season -- laying low playing a good social game and throwing comps. The wins should be right around the corner.
  • Ashley and Britney talked. They'll have to see if Shane wants to go with the original plan -- put up a pawn (like Ashley or Jenn) with Boogie and Boogie goes home or backdoor Dan.
  • Frank told Boogie that if he goes home, he (Frank) will have no one to work with.
  • Really? I guess that's the fee you pay to try to be the new Chilltown.
  • Britney told Ashley the girls need to stick together and let the guys take each other out.
  • Meanwhile, this morning Boogie was trying to rally his original team for his cause -- Frank, Jenn and Ian.
  • Jenn and Ian nodded their heads a lot.
  • Boogie thinks the only people he can work with in the house are idiots and fools. @@
  • Frank's goal this week is to make Dan cry.
  • I don't think that will happen.
  • Frank thinks Joe is a lying so-and-so.
  • He's right.
  • Ian thinks that Joe is putting his name into Shane's head for the "pawn."
  • Joe did tell the HoH crew the truth when he told them that Frank and Boogie have made it a priority to get Dan out of the house.
  • Joe grilled pork chops at 3AM, their time.
  • Britney told Frank she has no idea what Shane will do -- she's been betrayed by all sides.
  • While it's good to tell Frank that, it's not necessarily so. She's privy to "inside info" in HoH, but I noticed that since Shane threw her under the bus, she is a bit more guarded with what she says to him.
  • Boogie said that if they can't get Shane to put Dan on the block, it should be Joe. He thinks he'd have the chance to stay against Joe.
  • I don't think so. I'm not a Joe fan, but more of a "if they have the chance to get Boogie out, do it" fan.
  • Boogie thinks Ian is "tight" with Dan. He still doesn't know that Ian was the leak and he's acting as a double agent. But he sees the friendship and how Ian looks up to Dan.
  • When confronted, Ian said that he would have no problem voting Dan out and that if Dan made it to the final two, he'd win.
  • Ashley said Dan has brainwashed half the house.
  • And so on and so forth.
  • The veto meeting won't happen until tomorrow.
  • So we have more scheming ahead of us.

Off Topic: That Was the Week It Was - August 19, 2012

Good Sunday morning to you! It's time for my weekly off television topic reflection on the week gone by in both words and photographs I've taken along the way. If you're looking for Big Brother content, you can pull up all of those posts with this label link and might want to skip over this particular post. Don't worry, my feelings won't be hurt. But, for those who remain ...

This coming week will break the pattern of hot, humid and stormy. It will keep the stormy part now and again, but the temperatures will be slightly below normal. I'm more than ready for the temperatures to ease. I was probably ready before it ever got hot!

Vincent has fared fine through the hot weather as, in the worst of it, I've left the air conditioner on low for him. However, I'd rather just have the windows open with a gentle breeze wafting in and a lower electric bill. Unfortunately, I have to go out back and forth to work as I am not a spoiled cat.

Let's see ... I seem a bit discombobulated this morning. So, maybe I should just send out random thoughts on the week in my BB live feeds reporting style. Yeah, that's easier than paragraphs! Here we go!
  • I hurt a finger at my workplace. It's making typing a bit hard. I think it might be sprained.
  • I saw a whole bunch of bats in the skies downtown last night as I returned home from work. Cool.
  • The days are getting shorter. Last week it was too rainy, but would have been too light for the bats on my Saturday later return home.
  • I did not win the big Powerball lottery drawing. I bought one ticket. Never gamble more than you wish to throw away.
  • I have been contacted with an intriguing offer to work for a start-up on the Internet which (hopefully) might become another social networking way of life. I'll know more next week after I talk to them on the phone.
  • But, of course, I'll keep my day job. Internet income is so up and down.
  • Right now it's way down.
  • No one stole the cameras at my apartment building. For some reason, the landlord took them down, every one but the front door.
  • I don't use the front door.
  • Even the one in the laundry room is gone.
  • I don't know what's up with that.
  • And now, the front door which had been red, has been painted black.
  • Enough of this, onto the photos!
Clicking on an image will open it in a new window. Clicking again will make it larger. Closing the window will bring you right back here.

Yes, even a weed can be pretty.

I messed with the saturation in this photo. I don't know why, but I like it in paler pastels. East Front Street, Plainfield.

Sailors take warning. And sure enough, it rained later that day. This is the Plainfield Train Station as I waited for my train about 6:30 AM one day.
