BB19: Live Feeds into Sunday Evening - July 9

He's surprised to still be in there

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Misfit Toys:
  • The big worry on Paul's side and hope for Cody/Jessica is that there is some sort of Battle Back.
  • I think it's a valid worry.
  • I haven't really seen any gone besides Megan and Cameron out on the post-show interview circuit. Perhaps I just haven't looked since Jillian went.
  • But if they're being sequestered, we should be able to pick up on that sooner than the house hamsters will.
  • While Josh thinks he's the most picked-on disliked one in the house (and makes all those "victim noises" according to Cody), Ramses seems to take the prize for that.
  • Since Kevin lied to Cody and Jessica about his vote, they're sure it was Ramses betraying them.
  • And, Paul is ticked at him for almost winning veto when the deal was to throw it.
  • Ramses isn't playing a great game. He's like a kid in a candy store -- great for him, but annoying to the adults around him.
  • Watching Kevin, I think he's a huge observer kind of guy. The hamsters love his stories and his sense of humor, but dismiss gameplay. I dunno. I think his wheels are turning.
  • Hmm? Did Cody quit his real life job for this? He made a comment to Jessica about needing to figure out what he's going to do for work (after he goes).
  • Dang, I would have just asked for a personal unpaid leave of absence. Mind you, I'd never go on the show in the first place.
  • Cody complained about all the men on the show intimidated by women.
  • I'm surprised he hasn't started grunting like "Tim the Tool Man."
  • The ants are back in the kitchen once again.
  • Josh had a big conversation with the camera. He claims that he's really on the side of Alex and Jason, but had to stay in favor of the seven with his vote.
  • Um, kiddo. That's called playing both sides of the house.
  • Not long after that, Christmas worked more at molding her Josh puppet.
  • I don't see any other outcome this week than Cody going home.
  • I will cry no tears. I don't want him to think I'm making victim noises or being just a weak woman.

BB19: HoH Comp Results, Nominations Show Blog Party - July 9

It seems like so long ago! After all, the live feeds already have Power of Veto done and over with. As tonight's show airs, I'll be live-blogging and updating this entry -- refresh the page to get the latest. As always, the real party is in the comments area. I hope to see you there!

BTW - I won't be blogging the new Candy Crush game after the show. Game shows other than Jeopardy just aren't my thing at all.

Surprise, surprise! We're starting off with a recap! Oops ... forgot to mention and no room in my title -- the latest Den of Temptation will be shown tonight, too.

It's to the comp. Cody is upset that his people turned on him and kept Christmas. Paul is loving the chaos. Mark told Cody he voted to keep Christmas. He's the only one. We saw the Jessica/Christmas confrontation after eviction. Cody accuses Josh of lying to him. No hell hath a scorned Cody.

Cody looks very sullen in his role as ticket man. Elena tells us they can stockpile tickets. They're all doing that and handing them to Paul so that he can perfect a shot (and win). PAUL wins HoH!

Jessica can't imagine things getting any worse. Cody is sure that, unless he wins PoV, he will be going home. (Well, perhaps had he not done Custer's Last Stand during his HoH run, the first of the season, things would be very different.)

Kevin lies to Cody, telling him he voted to keep Jillian. A DR clip of Kevin telling us otherwise is good for a giggle. Cody is sure that Ramses and Josh flipped.

On a side note -- Cody's neck grinding or whatever is annoying.

Josh tries to make amends with Cody and Jessica. Cody is nasty to him. He tells us that Josh makes "victim noises." Jessica tells Josh he's like a little girl.

So, Josh goes off to cry. Raven, Mark. Dominque and Elena comfort him.

HoH room reveal. Jessica is in the Diary Room and doesn't want to go. The sound effect for Cody entering is a deflating balloon. Much editing of Cody glowering while the others clap.

Paul tells us he's going to do the opposite of Cody and let all know what he's doing. He proposes Matt and Raven, then backdoor Cody. Matt isn't thrilled. Dominque  suggests pawns from the other side.

Den of Temptation time -- along with a consequence. Since Paul has already been tempted, he won't be invited in.

The Den has voodoo dolls of all the hamsters. Christmas ends up being the one to be offered the Ring of Replacement. She can play in any one veto comp sometime this summer, replacing a player. She accepts. Must curse three houseguests via their voodoo dolls turning them into VToads. She selects Jason, Cody and Jessica.

Paul makes a deal with Alex, telling her he wants to backdoor Cody. She thinks it best for her own game to cooperate. He then goes after Josh with the plan. Josh also thinks it best for his own game. Paul tells the DR that he knows everyone wants Cody to go is the reason they're all "trusting" him.

Voting for DoT - The Halting Hex. Um. Okay.

Ramses thinks this might be a good week for him to use his third nom curse because he knows that Cody is the target.

Time for nominations.
Ramses puts himself in the mix as the third nominee. If he wins PoV, he can take himself down with no replacement.

Paul nominates Josh and Al

Tex. Josh called him a meatball. Alex, no connection made with him.

They show Paul worried that Ramses will win PoV and the noms will remain the same.

Oh, the suspense ...

Off Topic: That Was the Week It Was - July 9, 2017

Good afternoon! Since it's a SUNDAY, this is my weekly off television topic post taking a look at the week gone by in both words and photographs I've taken along the way. This weekly post is done year in, year out -- usually in the morning hours. But I was lackadaisical this morning. Big Brother, the main draw for so many of you, only lasts about three months -- although sometimes it seems to be a lifetime. If you're here solely for the BB posts, please feel free to skip this post. You can find my latest BB19 posts by using this link.

I've been on a staycation this past week -- a much needed one. Of course, I wouldn't mind being on a permanent staycation called retirement. I'm still trying to figure out angles for achieving that. If nothing else, in two months I'll be able to take NJ Transit trains and buses for half-fare or less.

The big happening this week here was the annual Plainfield 4th of July Parade which goes right by my apartment building. Watching the parade reminded me how much Plainfield really does have to offer. There were many youth sports groups, the high school marching band, the robot from the robotics club, steppers, churches and various cultural organizations. It was a sea of diversity! Plainfield has indeed become a melting pot. Having so many folks so different from myself around me reminds me how much people are actually alike.

Speaking of which, I met a man in my apartment building elevator this morning. He told me he was visiting from Trinidad. No, not visiting the elevator ... visiting family in the building. Heck, my building itself probably has people for a dozen or more countries living here.

I really don't have a heck of a lot to say this week. Yes, I'm rested. But I could rest more! I'm including the photos I took of the parade this week in a Photobucket link. There are a ton of them -- the parade was almost four hours long! They may take a while to load if you have a slow connection.

The lilies are still in bloom

Finally ...

I've had my office chair for nearly 25 years and it's been in sad shape for about the last ten of those years. I ordered a new one from Amazon this week and put it together rather easily. It's not an expensive chair. It's not a fancy chair. But it does have good back support and arms that don't fall off.  Ignore the catnip mouse on the floor, as well as the catnip. Vincent is a kitty slob!

Day lilies came to life this week

Vincent and his new favorite chair

Yes, Vincent has claimed my new office chair as his own! I ended up putting a towel over it to fend off cat fur! When I'm not in it, he usually is. No, I'm not going to buy one for him.

BB19: Live Feeds into Sunday Morning - July 9

The man with the bling ... this week

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Hopping Hamsters:
  • If you missed my brief update yesterday -- Paul won PoV.
  • Mark and Elena were picked to play in the random pick.
  • Jason hosted.
  • Paul had told Ramses to throw the comp, not to worry because there was a backdoor plan for Cody and he (Ramses) would be safe.
  • Of course, the comp was blocked to the live feeds for hours and hours.
  • And hours.
  • Apparently Ramses either almost won or definitely did not throw the comp as there was a kerfuffle after the feeds return.
  • The Paul group already didn't trust Ramses.
  • Now, even more so.
  • As the Paul group gathered talking about Ramses in the comp, who knocks and comes in?
  • Ramses. He was there to tell them it looked sketchy, but he really wasn't trying to win.
  • Nope, they were nice enough to him, but they're not buying it.
  • Cody knows he's a dead frog hopping.
  • So, Jessica can sink or swim. She's trying to swim, having a long talk with Paul.
  • Paul, no matter what folks may think of him, can be very concerned and caring (seemingly) in a talk like that.
  • The comp had them going through airport security, five terminals, answer question, get delayed or right, red door or green pathway for answers, the delays were puzzle math things, punch and kick through, etc. Another delay was eating nasty stuff like liver pate and escargot while a fat sweaty man sat almost on top of you, and an icy dive.
  • Thank you, Paul, for explaining the comp to Jessica as the other talks about the comp were all bits of excited bits and pieces!
  • See, sometimes Paul's loquaciousness comes in handy!
  • Kevin and Alex want to work together -- let the power players pick each other off.
  • Alex is now trusted by the Elena, Paul and Mark crowd.
  • For now, anyway.
  • Alex is willing to remain on the block against Cody.
  • Kevin remains the house entertainment.
  • I personally doubt he'll win it all, but the dude should get a special monetary award for being the feeds entertainment hit of the season.

Oh, go get a room!

Talks to Paul

Kevin, casting brilliance in motion

BB19: Finally, the PoV is Over - July 8

Gah! The live feeds have been blocked for the majority of time the hamsters have been awake today.

It sounds like quite the Power of Veto Comp went down.

Neither Cody nor Jessica were picked to play this morning. And, Jason hosted.

Paul won.
