BB19: Power of Veto Show Blog Party - August 9

As the show airs here, I'll be live-blogging and constantly updating this entry -- refresh the page to get the latest! As always, the real party is in the comments area. Come join in on the fun!

They start off showing Christmas accept the Ring of Replacement in the Den of Temptation. Recap of Josh wanting Elena out, Paul wanting him to target Jess and Cody. Into the temptation challenge. Recap, recap.

They will show the never crying Cody crying.

Josh really wants Elena out more than he wants Jess and Cody gone. As usual practice, all think they must win veto. Well, maybe not Elena.

Josh tells Jessica that he thinks Cody ruined her game. He wants to hint to her that she's not his target. Cody, in particular, doesn't want to listen to him. Then Jessica follows Cody's lead.

Paul suggests to Christmas that she uses her temptation if Cody is picked to play in veto. Paul tells us he also wants her to use it so she doesn't have that trick up her sleeve later in the game. She tells Josh about the temptation and tells him she'll back him up.

Cody and Jessica talk. Only two names will be drawn to compete. She really wants him to be in the comp.

Josh talks with Paul about his case for Elena going home and Christmas not using her power. Paul really wants Jess out. He points out that both Jess and Cody on the jury would be two votes against them.

Veto players pick. Josh picks Mark who, as a nominee, chose Alex. Josh then chose Cody. Josh delays his blinking okay to Christmas to make time for a commercial.

He gives the blink, Christmas explains the power and takes Cody's place. Cody then cries later with Jessica.

It's the OTEV comp! Christmas isn't allowed to play, but Cody remains out. This OTEV has a little piggie looking for his mommy and daddy.

OTEV turns into the Possessed Piglet and spits out green slime. Elena is out in the first round. Whoa! Mark JUST beat Jessica in the second round. Jessica is out of the comp. Mark is thinking ... he had the third round answer while Alex and Josh were still hunting. So, he made a stash of numbers for himself. Josh was last, Josh out. Alex beats Mark up, but lost her number sole on the way.  Mark wins Veto!

Jessica doesn't want to leave Cody. Of course, we get a bit of them looking lovingly sad at each other.

Too bad, so sad.

Matt tells Josh that he or Raven (she agrees) will go on the block as a pawn.

And, so it comes to pass.

In the veto meeting Mark saves himself. Josh puts Raven up, saying she agreed and knows the plan. Elena looks disturbed, probably because Mark didn't save her.

Jessica wants to cause drama and flip the house upside down before she leaves.

Paul is a happy camper.

Josh still wants Elena out rather than Jessica.

BB19: Live Feeds into Wednesday Dawn, Kerfuffles and a Brouhaha - August 9

The Dynamic Duo ... bwahaha!

I think I've done it. I've totally exhausted myself. Last night I fell asleep at 7pm after work and slept for almost ten hours. So, I was up early catching up on the live feeds. Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Lackadaisical Louts:
  • Talking with her boy Josh, Christmas thinks that after they get Jessica out this week, Cody needs to go next. Then they can concentrate on ousting Matt and Raven.
  • Hmm. What about Mark and Elena?
  • Christmas also doesn't buy Paul's claim that a show veteran can't win because Nicole won last season (over Paul, the then newbie).
  • Hey, that's what I've been saying!
  • Jason and Alex continued to explore the idea of a deal with Cody.
  • Josh has actually been on fairly good behavior when it comes to Jessica and Cody. He apologized to Jessica the other day.
  • But apparently Jessica and Cody are of the mind that it's "too little, too late."
  • Both have been snapping at him and treating him poorly although they're getting along with everyone else without issue. They've been calling him a coward, making fun of how he enunciates words and Cody threatened to "destroy" him outside of the house.
  • Well, when they're actually mingling in public they get along with others, that is.
  • Josh and Jessica had a loud verbal kerfuffle.
  • But he didn't do circus music.
  • But he did go up to the HoH room and cry.
  • Matt was there to comfort him, but Josh was in tears about all the personal attacks.
  • Geez. Pot. Kettle. Black.
  • Now, my heart goes out to someone who receives personal attacks out of the blue. But, has Josh forgotten what he's done to them, especially Jessica?
  • Cry me a river.
  • And, so he did. Christmas and others continued to comfort the poor abused boy.
  • @@
  • Kevin, while not seeming to have much sympathy over Jessica "personally attacking" Josh, did have issues with Cody's threats of physical violence.
  • He thinks Cody needs to be out of the house, that he's dangerous ... not meaning dangerous as a comp beast, dangerous as a physical threat to others.
  • Jessica told Cody that if he wins HoH, he needs to go after someone bigger than Josh. She says she made the mistake of going after Josh for personal reasons.
  • Oh noes. Josh goes for the pots and pans,
  • Maybe BB needs to take them away and give them paper plates, limiting them to using the microwave oven until this season is over.
  • Mark ended up on the wrong side of the house when he claimed Josh started the latest kerfuffle.
  • Paul says that Cody/Jessica went too far when they called Josh "fat."
  • Are we in third grade here?
  • Mark says he himself has been bullied (in real life and in the house) and has been gone after with the pots and pans (in the house) and it's harassment.
  • He's right.
  • Back in the day, when Evel Dick went about with pots and pans, it was a totally different thing and certainly not repeatedly done whenever he was upset as it is with Josh. Dick's was more of a wake up call!
  • Josh's actions are more of a child acting out because he's having a hissy fit.
  • Despite Mark claiming that Josh isn't a victim and Paul pushing the case he is, they (Mark and Paul) got over it without resorting to childlike temper tantrums or crying.
  • Cody and Jessica exiled themselves again. Cody thinks that the only regrets they really have is when they react to the others. Hmm. Well, reacting with name-calling and threats of physical violence aren't too cool in the long run.
  • Now, despite Josh being a childish jerk, it's Cody in the spotlight again due to his threats of physical violence.
  • Oh. And for calling Josh fat.
  • I didn't see the actual happening on the feeds -- they blocked some of the Josh/Cody brouhaha -- but a panel in the door was nearly damaged and Cody reportedly was the one who was at fault. Hmm.
  • Since I'm older than Kevin, my main thought is ... "Is this the future of America?"
  • EEK!
  • Raven hopes that she will be recruited to be on The Amazing Race.
  • No. Just no. Please no.
  • Elena, the only one on slop this week (heehee), is upset because she has no energy due to being a Have Not and BB won't let her nap.
  • Poor Elena.
  • Heh.
  • Kevin told Paul he's abandoning his hopes/plan to get them working together after Cody's actions. He can't condone them and there's no saving Cody at this point because he's too explosive.
  • Kevin said Cody is a nincompoop.
  • Paul used more colorful language to describe Cody.
  • As he always does.
  • I think we need a BB season with fines taken out of the stipends for every time someone uses an F bomb without good cause like stubbing a toe or breaking a foot. How do these people function in the adult world? The corporate world? With their grandparents?
  • Paul wants to move to New York City after the show. No, I don't want to run into him on the street even though I think he should have won last year and he's playing the best game in the house this season, too. Believing he's a good BB player is fine with me. Real life stuff? He's SO not someone I want to know!
  • They continue to go over the odd piped-in sounds and announcements thinking that might be part of the HoH comp.
  • Whatever the comp is, it can't be anything too intense construction-wise because the yard remained open.
  • Mark and Elena are back to snugglebunnies.
  • Gah.
  • And, despite the thoughts that Kevin might work something out to work with Cody and Paul to take over the house, all bets are off now with the kerfuffle/brouhaha.
  • Jessica should be going home tomorrow.
  • No one will now work with Cody. If he stays in, he'd have to win HoH and/or PoV or the Temptation Challenge.
  • I personally don't think I'd want to be in the jury house with him. He's bound to be an unhappy camper sans Jessica in that house.

She wants to play comps

I'm ready for Hollywood fame!

My boyz

Cody has a facial hair thing goin' on

Just proof they're all bozos on this bus ... Jessica bangs a can with a wooden spoon so hard it broke ... right in Josh's face. This brouhaha between Josh and Jessica was not instigated by Paul. It was all on Josh and Jessica. This was before he got the pots and pans out. I realize that some folks "hate" Paul so much that everything is blamed on him. But these folks can be jerkfaces all on their own without instigation. If Paul told you to jump off the Empire State Building, would you do it? They're supposed to be adults.

BB19: Live Feeds into Tuesday Dawn - August 8

Birthday boy

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Follow the Leader:
  • Not a heck of a lot has gone on since I last posted.
  • They're sure the sounds and noises they've heard are tied in the the next HoH comp.
  • Of course, WE know it's Fright Week (or whatever) this week in the house starting with that spooky comp.
  • So, perhaps the noises are just to rattle them.
  • Either way, they're studying and quizzing each other on them.
  • Except for Jessica and Cody -- they spent as much time alone in the yard as they could before it shut down.
  • I'm expecting ghostly figures to appear in the mirror windows.
  • Aren't you?
  • Mark and Elena are back on. Gah. I don't want to see them kissing. It's bad enough I have to change the feed I'm watching when Jessica and Cody go hot and heavy.
  • What if BB had a season with NO showmances?!?!
  • It's definitely more entertaining for me to see Alex and Jason pick on each other and fake fight.
  • Paul told Keving that he (Paul) is basically playing for second place again because nobody will vote for a show vet to win.
  • I don't know about that.
  • First off, Nicole won last year over a newbie (Paul).
  • Second, even his house enemies have said how well he is doing at playing the game. I suppose it's up to who he'd be sitting next to, but unless it's a bitter jury, Paul will win.
  • Maybe if it's Kevin up there with him at the end, Kevin might win because he's so well-liked by all.
  • Meanwhile, Alex and Jason still are wondering what Kevin might do outside the house. A mobster married to a nurse for 30 years? The Mayor of Boston?
  • That's it for now. It should be quiet until all heck breaks loose with the new HoH comp on Thursday.

BB19: Live Feeds into Monday Night, Veto Meeting - August 7

Is that a holiday sweater? Christmas?

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Radical Rats:
  • Kevin is all excited about everyone sitting at the table eating dinner for his birthday. He wants some time with the game aside. He wants family time, it seems. I guess he misses his kids!
  • Besides his dream of dinner together, Kevin also has another dream in which he, Jason, Paul, Cody, Christmas and Alex work together to be the final six.
  • He might have to just keep on dreaming.
  • Jessica, thinking she will be evicted this week, pep-talked Cody. She knows he can win comps and that skill just might save him.
  • The PoV meeting went down, blocked to the life feeds.
  • Mark saved himself.
  • Phew!
  • He might have been dense enough to use it to save his unrequited love Elena. I 'm glad he came to his senses!
  • Raven, as planned, is the replacement nominee for Mark.
  • If Christmas had her way, Cody would be going home this week. The animosity she feels towards him increases daily. It's to the point where just about every breath he takes near her will irk her.
  • Hmm. I've had neighbors I felt that way about!
  • Jessica mentioned to Cody that BB offers them therapy after they leave the house.
  • Cody says he doesn't need it.
  • I think a punching bag might suffice for him.
  • Some weirdness happened today. First, Kevin saw a Happy Birthday balloon over the wall. Then the sounds of a baby crying piped through the house with someone yelling to hush said baby.
  • Oh my.
  • Are they clues?
  • Alex tried to warn Paul that others think he's spending too much time with Elena.
  • Will he listen?
  • Then there was a dog barking piped through the house.
  • Hmm.
  • A shot rang out! The maid screamed!
  • Oops. That last one was me.
  • Alex isn't on board with Kevin's thoughts of keeping Cody.
  • She and Paul agreed that keeping him could be a bad idea, especially if there's a double eviction.
  • Kevin told Cody that he wanted everybody for dinner at 7pm. Cody told him since the yard would be shutting down, he had a date with Jessica. He agreed to come in for cake.
  • Kevin also talked to Cody about possibly working with Paul. Cody said that Paul never lied to him, telling him one thing and doing another. He has others who he thinks betrayed him he would target first.
  • When they starting singing Happy Birthday to Kevin, only Jessica was missing. And she had a good excuse -- diary room. Josh took part.
  • Still not like a happy family ...
  • The morning walk and talk laps
He's playing the game and the others
    Banana logic
She's obviously glued Cody's head on

BB19 Live Feeds into Monday Morning - August 7

Paul gets a make-up job

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of People You Don't Invite to Your House:
  • Mark and Elena are over.
  • Mark and Elena are back together.
  • Mark and Elena are over.
  • Elena is hitting on both Matt and Paul.
  • Yet Mark is still lovesick.
  • Christmas continued to plant the anti-Elena seeds in Josh's mind.
  • Kevin told Josh that Jessica needs to go this week.
  • That was it. Too much data and confusion. Josh's head blew up and he's out for the count.
  • Okay, I made up the last part.
  • But Josh's HoH reign that he claims is his own is actually a tug of war with Paul and Christmas both in his ear.
  • He recognizes the Paul part and claims Paul's game is Paul's, not his own.
  • But, what about Christmas? I don't think Josh thinks of her influence on him like he does about Paul.
  • Aww, Josh offered Kevin his HoH room to sleep in alone. Kevin was touched, but declined.
  • In a more lighthearted note -- the make-up lessons with Paul had everyone giggling ... even Jessica.
  • Kevin's birthday was at midnight. Treats all around!
  • Elena is the only Have Not this week because of her bad key pick last week.
  • Kevin said all he wanted for his birthday was for everyone to sit and eat together.
  • Aww. His children probably never prepared him for this house of fools!
  • Now Mark once again wants to use his veto to save Elena.
  • Yikes! Paul couldn't believe it and lectured Mark about why he shouldn't use it on her. Use it on yourself, but not on another person!
  • Mark told Paul that Elena convinced him to use it on her.
  • @@
  • After all, she has so much she'd have to pack if she remains on the block and he doesn't have that much stuff!
  • Oh, geez.
  • After a disbelieving Paul left the room, Elena was threatening Mark that if he didn't save her, their plans for after the show is over date are off.
  • Now, that's just mean!
  • She then claimed she was joking.
  • But she was also "joking" when she egged him on to throw pickle juice mixed with hot sauce in Josh's face.
  • To be honest, I think out of all involved, I'd rather Elena go home this week.
  • But I do think it will be Jessica.

Their last week ... or not.

Does she have to caress his feet?

Comp beast in hiding?

Pressure of the veto on his shoulders
