'Big Brother 8' - Live Feeds - The Day So Far - Thursday, 8/02

<--- Amber stares at the ceiling (and the rest of the day has been only a tad more exciting!) Since it's the live show tonight, it's a traditional day of primping and cleaning. But, with this season having live votes on the show rather than voting taped on Wednesday, there's also some last minute scheming and happenings which might affect the vote. Here are the day's events so far from inside the Big Brother House of Wayward Children:
  • BB woke them up early. Well, early for them -- before 10 AM their time. Then BB stuck them all in the HOH room for a lockdown.
  • Once released from the HOH lockdown, the house itself lockdown is still in effect from last night as the staff prepares the yard for the HOH comp. Dick seriously has to be wanting a cigarette!
  • The nominees both had to pack.
  • Dick told Dustin that Kail is too comfortable and knows she's the pawn. He speculated on the leak -- thinking it was Jameka or Amber - the God Squad. Little does he know that Dustin himself told her she was a pawn since before the nomination!
  • Amber is mad because she thinks that she, Jameka and Dick are the only ones who clean the house. (Well, had they kept Mike last week...!)
  • Eric thanked people for cleaning.
  • Amber lit into Kail about not doing her share of the housecleaning. She really let her have it and didn't cry, either!
  • Kail, all upset, went to Jen and said she wanted to go home. She said she's going home in two weeks anyway, so what does it matter.
  • Jen again told her she left a horrible goodbye message.
  • Jen said she doesn't clean, she organizes. Dick said all she does is color-code the plates.
  • Dick went on an anti-Jen tirade to her once again. She gave him no satisfaction. His language is too much when he does that. I think I myself would punch him in the nose. I do admire her restraint.
  • Amber told everyone about her blow-up with Kail and how she was fine with her until she got nasty about her.
  • There seemed to be a slip of the Diary Room while the blue vortex of water was on... we had audio for a bit with a strange male voice asking Kail why she wants to go home. She said pretty much the same thing as she said to Jen and added that she didn't expect to be cussed at all the time.
Hmm... I still think the house will go with a Nick vote, but it may change if Kail actively seeks people to vote her out. She seems very unhappy about being there and may truly want to leave.

Just an update -- I don't know for sure if her DOR (Demand of Release) was accepted or not. Since she got out of the DR, she's talked to no one -- not even Jen. Then we went to blocked feeds. If she gets it, it will change the course of tonight's show and make history.

'Big Brother 8' - Live Feeds - Into the Wee Hours 8/02

<--- Aw, Kail and Jen look so sweet together, don't they? Here are the late night events from the Big Brother House of Pranksters and Shenanigans:
  • Jen thinks she's gaining weight. Dick told her that she can't trust the scale they have and that he was gaining until he went on slop this week.
  • Dick and Zach were talking about burritos and a favorite spot for them. They said the spices are great, but the meat is dog food ... wham, feeds blocked!
  • Jessica continued her strategy of sleeping most of the day and came to life again around 8 PM their time.
  • Amber and Daniele both had headaches and BB let the aspirin supply run out.
  • Jen told Kail that Nick said he wouldn't move from Minnesota for Daniele and she won't move out of California, so it's probably over for them.
  • Jessica sat at the chess board and announced, "This is my strategy." Then she knocked all of the pieces off.
  • After Amber came out of the DR, she told Jameka it was hard. I'm sure we can expect another tearfest.
  • Jen mentioned that the contracts they signed this year said America could play a part in voting this year. (!!!) Dustin and Jessica didn't act like they remembered reading that. Jen thinks that perhaps America will vote for HOH or vote someone back into the house. (Little does she know...!)
  • They think another possibility could be a final three with America having a vote.
  • Eric was with them and just stayed quiet.
  • Amber and Dustin want Jen in the house as long as Evel is in the house.
  • The HG are too aware of the Showtime show times. Once again, Jameka made a comment about being boring while it's on. Hey, what about US?
  • Dick messed with both the shower head and the kitchen faucet. Alas, he forgot about the kitchen and pranked himself.
  • Eric turned totally around and started talking about how they have to get Kail out of the house. He was pro-Nick leaving until after a DR session. Hmmm... it seems that America voted they want Kail out this week. With the house wanting Nick out, Eric is going to have to do some fancy footwork to cover his tracks. I think there probably will be enough stray votes to keep Nick so he may be safe with his vote.
  • Dick threw flour on Zach and they ran around the house with Zach eventually hiding in the bedroom.
  • Zach made itching powder as revenge.
  • Jameka wants everyone to say "Hey, babe!" when they "see" Julie on the live show.
  • The LNC gathered to talk about the vote. Eric listed reasons to vote Kail out of the house. Dustin thought she's been too comfortable on the block, but still wants Nick to go this week.
  • The HG again think tonight's comp will be an endurance one. The fact that they're going to be on an inside lockdown all day does tend to support that -- BB has to set up something extensive in the yard with all that time.
  • At last count, it seems the votes will have Nick going home tonight.

'Big Brother 8' - Live Feeds - Latest Up on TV Squad

If you don't go read my latest update on TV Squad, there's a chance Zach will move into your house and stare at you.

I'm just sayin', that's all.

It could happen.

Love you guys!

'Big Brother 8' - Live Feeds - Wednesday, Aug. 1

What a snoozer of a day so far in the Big Brother house! I mean that both literally and figuratively.

Since most of the houseguests were up until dawn or past it, BB didn't even play wake-up music until past noon their time. And, when they did, we heard it or some of it to be precise. I don't know how a George Michael song besides "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" ever made the list. Perhaps they'll play that one for eviction day!

With the late wake-up, not much has gone on so far today.

Here are a few tidbits:
  • Dustin got his HOH camera, hence the image here. He also wrote his HOH diary entry. (Sidenote: I miss the Revenge of the Houseguests on the CBS site!)
  • The voting will be live tomorrow as they're not voting today.
  • Kail told Amber that she (Amber) was never a target of her ill-fated alliance. (That "ill-fated" is my description, not Kail's.)
  • Kail also told her that she's a team player and wants to prove she can be trusted just as she trusts that she's on the block as a pawn. (Hmmm... didn't Dustin tell her not to talk about that?)
  • Amber told her she should try for HOH.
  • Amber told Kail that Jen will probably vote her out as she's "in love with Nick."
  • Kail now regrets never getting the live feeds for the show. She feels unprepared. (I've always had the live feeds and from them I confirmed I should never apply to be on the show!)
  • Jameka tried to stay in bed and the BB voice yelled at her.
  • Daniele told Dustin that there have been three banner planes and even though they couldn't see them (BB locked 'em in), it had to mean something as it's $400 to fly one. She thinks it indicates that people are trying to tell them not to evict Nick, but go for Kail to leave instead.
  • Jameka got mad when Amber told her that Daniele said she (Jameka) said there must be a message in the banner planes. "I'm going to bitch-slap her." (Note: This is the same thing that Dick said about Jen the other day. Is it different coming from Jameka?)
  • Evel Waffle once again started to campaign to keep Nick. There will be another meeting tonight. He thinks that folks are changing their minds.
  • Amber told Jameka she thinks the game is rigged -- she thinks BB is sending the banner planes and they want to keep the shomance in the house for better ratings.
  • Eric told Dick he'd wait and see the house thought on the vote and go with the majority. (Or, actually... with US.)
  • Amber told Eric that the DR keeps asking her about saving Nick. She finds it suspicious and said she's voting Nick out for sure. ("Houseguests, you may NOT discuss your diary room sessions with other houseguests!)
  • Dick and Daniele discussed answering CBS.com questions in the DR. Both said they were asked why they hate Jen so much. (The questions must come from the website, I guess. "Houseguests, you may NOT discuss your diary room sessions with other houseguests!"
  • Jen wasn't pleased with any of the HOH photos of herself.

That's it. It is what it is.

'Big Brother 8' - Live Feeds -Late Night/Overnight into 8/01

Jackie's TV Blog, BB8, Big Brother 8

And Amber cried. Thank you, Zoetawny!

It's nearly 6 AM in the house as I get this posted and the Late Night Crew is still up. Separated a bit, but up. Jameka, Jessica, and Eric are in one room while Daniele and Dick are in the backyard.

Here are the more interesting events from that Big Brother House Flip-Flopping Focus:
  • Daniele and Dick were talking about backdooring Eric would be the only way to get him out because he'd freak out. Dick said he wants Eric in the game longer, though.
  • Dick and Daniele were in the backyard when Nick joined them. Nick snapped at Daniele for always interrupting when he tries to talk and walked away.
  • Zach asked Nick if it was okay if he worked to save him in the house. Nick said he could go for it.
  • Zach thought he could work on Jessica as Jessica really doesn't like Kail. Zach also seemed to have some ulterior motives in getting closer to Jessica. (Can you imagine that?)
  • Jessica was pleasant enough to him, but didn't commit her vote.
  • Nick and Daniele fought. She thinks he doesn't care about her feelings; he says he just wants to enjoy his last few days in the house.
  • Nick thinks he's in the position he is because he's so personable and everyone approached him to be in an alliance, now it's backfired.
  • Nick asked Jameka if she was one who wanted him on the block. Dick said it was a group decision for strategic reasons.
  • Dick told Nick that he can't trust Dustin if the vote's a tie.
  • Dick is waffling again -- he told Nick he wants Kail gone this week and has mentioned it to the others, too.
  • Jen thinks she has a gap between her two front teeth. So she enlisted Kail's help in tying them together with dental floss. @@!
  • Eric and Dick mocked Dustin's CD. (Miko)
  • Jessica believes everyone in the LNC will vote Nick out this week.
  • Here's an odd tidbit -- Jameka had bones removed from her feet to change her shoe size from a 9 to a 6 1/2. That's just weird!
  • Eric talked to Jessica about Dick -- he feels his temper is getting worse and they should seriously consider getting him out of the house.
  • Eric said he doesn't really want HOH because the goodies basket would mean so much more to others. Jessica, for example, would get news of her brother in Iraq.
  • Jessica and Eric both think that Amber will cry if she's not the one chosen to receive a phone call from home (when that time comes) Well, duh. Amber would cry at the mention of home!
  • Dick talked to Daniele. He thinks something isn't quite right with Eric and he can't be trusted. He thinks the producers talk to him in the Diary Room and give him information. "Something is up," he says. Watch out, America's Player! Dick has an inkling!
  • Eric is adamant that Nick will be going home this week. America's Player? I'd find that surprising. He may be just trying to cover for an odd Kail Go Home vote this week. I think America would go for Kail leaving more than a Nick leaving vote. Eric's already mentioned that he thinks someone is going to vote against the crowd until the numbers are down.
There ya go. They're STILL up, so we can expect a lot of sleeping today.
