Big Brother 16: Nominations and Battle of the Block Show Blog Party - August 17

Big Brother summer on Make A Gif

Are you ready to partay? As the show airs here on the East Coast, I'll update this entry with the major happenings. Refresh the page to get the latest news! But, as all y'all know ... the real party is in the comments area. Come join us there! Oh. And, we're actually starting on time this week! Yay.

Recap, recap. Frankie's so excited. Squee! Caleb wants Donny or Victoria to go. Derrick wants neither of them out.

The cannibalism of the old Bomb Squad members begins. No one wants to be on the block. Derrick manages to save Victoria from being on the block with Frankie's approval. They know that Donny has to go up or the rest will revolt.

HoH Room reveal. Did you know Frankie's sister is famous?

Team America mission - we chose the hide the clothing, form neighborhood watch.

They have a meeting of the mindless. Frankie explains they don't want both Donny and Victoria on the block -- if one wins veto, both could end up safe. No one wants to volunteer to be on the block and throw it for a Donny stay on the block scenario. They decide to draw Skittles from a hat to decide who goes up.

Christine is drawn first to go against Donny and throw the comp. She's not happy. Cody and Caleb are then picked (to be the winning team). Neither is happy.

A Zankie segment and then a Cody/Christine relationship married woman groping bit.

Caleb wants Zach to go home. The rest of the dudes agree they don't need him anymore.

Derrick tells Donny that Victoria is the target. He also said they drew Skittles to see who will go on the block. He claims Donny was the only one not there because he was in bed. Donny seems right through the lie.

Nominations ceremony -- Derrick -- Donny, Christine. You have the opportunity to win BOB. Frankie -- Caleb, Cody. Both have been teasing me (physically attractive) and I picked candy out of a hat.

BOB time! Ohh ... the big Black Box! They have to find bones inside. One bone at a time, five bones on their scoreboard wins. Some bones might not fit. Christine is throwing it and even hands a bone off to Caleb. Donny is finding bones on his own. Donny is onto Christine throwing the comp as he places the 4th bone in place.

DONNY WINS THE BOB (with no help from Christine).

Off Topic: That Was the Week It Was - August 17, 2014

Good Sunday morning to you all! Welcome to my weekly off television topic post in which I reflect on the week gone by in both words and photos I've taken along the way. If you're looking for Big Brother live feeds (or show) content, you can find all of that right here at this link. No television content in this weekly post that I make year 'round -- you've been warned!

That said, it's basically been just another week of hectic stuff between the blog and my "real" job. Nothing earth-shattering happened in my personal life. I didn't win the lottery, nor did I have much time to do much other than work and blog. I felt like I was running late all week and didn't seem all that inspired to take photos. Sigh.

This week's random ramblings:
  • They're demolishing that building by the Bound Brook Train Station with the structural cracks and caved-in roof I've been photographing for a few years now. I think they're just taking down that rear addition with the issues, not the whole building. It's about time. I couldn't get any decent shots of the demolition from the train, though.
  • OCD Guy has been missing from the train for a good three weeks now.
  • That's how trains go -- people ride them for a while, then lose their jobs, change their work hours, perhaps decide to drive, etc. But I remain.
  • I expect NJ Transit to give me flowers when I retire!
  • My new upstairs neighbor is even more quiet than the last one although I have yet another person who's up late and up again early above me -- kind of like my own hours. I hear footsteps, not in shoes, above me and nothing else. I think I heard music coming from there one evening, but I couldn't tell. It was faint -- could have been from a car in the parking lot or next door. It didn't bother me, mind you. I could just hear it.
  • Speaking of music from cars -- there needs to be a law outlawing those ridiculous sound systems they're putting ATOP cars these days! OMG, who came up with that? It's bad enough the huge systems IN cars!
  • And, while I'm fussing, they definitely need to crack down on bicyclists on the sidewalks here in Plainfield. I stand my ground on the sidewalk. I figure if they hit me, it's the bicyclist who will fall, not me. I'm rather solid.
  • One of the Plainfield Narcotics/Gang cops bought me a cold bottle of water when he saw me waiting for the bus. Aw, how sweet of him! I really like those guys!
  • A month from now I'll be on staycation. I can't wait! I need the sleep.
  • My latest rent increase for the new yearly lease is $7. I guess I can afford that even though there are cheaper places to live. I do like this location and these landlords now are the best yet -- new windows, they maintain the elevator, new machines in the laundry room, new drainpipes, quasi-landscaping (mulch, hedge trimming and such), things fixed quickly, no regular $50 yearly increases like the past criminal landlord, good neighbors on my wing (most there for years although the apartment above has turned over about four or five times in my years here), location is good for public transportation and walking places.
  • Moving would also be a huge hassle. So, I'm staying. Now it's going to be on 14 years. Oy.
Onto the photos for the week. Clicking on an image will bring it up in a Photobucket page. From there, you can increase the size twice by clicking on the magnifying glass. Just X out of that page to return to the blog.

He thinks he's hiding from me. But I see him. Alas, I had no bread for him. He doesn't look like he's starving to me!

Spiderweb in the morning sun

No spider, though. This is on the railing alongside the parking lot of the Bridgewater Train Station. It's HUGE!

The blossoms close up overnight and open in the morning. They're usually unfurling their petals on my early work commutes. This and more in this week's flowers slideshow after the jump!

Big Brother 16: Live Feeds into Sunday - August 17

Now, that's good TV! Yup, uh-huh!

The aftermath of ZingBot resonates through the house. Oh, and the Power of Veto comp itself has put some on edge. Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Zing That!:
  • Yeah, Frankie won the PoV.
  • But, did you realize his sister's a worldwide pop sensation?
  • I bet you didn't!
  • Christine is the most upset about what ZingBot had to say about her.
  • Aw, poor baby. Maybe she shouldn't be hanging all over Cody then, huh? ZingBot has her worried about what her husband, pastor and family think.
  • A little too late to worry about that. The damage is done. She's acting way too trampy for someone who supposedly has the love of her life sitting at home watching!
  • As a very non-touchy-feely person myself, all of this caressing this season in the house tends to make me happy not to be in there.
  • Derrick's zing was about his looks. Quasimodo? Hmm. The actual comment apparently was about all the attractive men in the house and then there's Derrick. Now, that's kind of mean and personal. With Christine, she brought it on herself. Looks can't be really helped.
  • But Derrick's rolling with the punches. After all, that's how the dude rolls.
  • Frankie's zing was about looking pale because he's always standing in his sister's shadow.
  • Oh.
  • Did you know his sister is famous?
  • Zach's had to do with that (silly) gator chop clap he does and being unemployed. What's so cool about them? Nothing!
  • Donny's zing said he looks like Duck Dynasty but his social game is more like Suck Dynasty.
  • ZingBot told Caleb that he wears so much make-up that he's more like Beast Mode Cowgirl. Heehee!
  • ZingBot: What do you call a guy who wears pink, cries a lot and cuddles with men? ZACH.
  • Frankie's first thought is to put Victoria on the block after saving (probably) Caleb.
  • But he knows Derrick doesn't want her up there.
  • He then decides that Victoria is rather harmless (and most likely the perfect person to be in the final two with as she wouldn't win) and his focus turns on Zach.
  • When Zach told Cody that the viewers must notice how much touching there is between Christine and him (Cody), Cody said ALL the girls caress his hair.
  • @@
  • If I were in there, I wouldn't be touching him all the time.
  • The Cody/Christine zing is also bothering Cody.
  • THEN STOP ALL THE CONSTANT CARESSING!
  • Caleb told Derrick and Cody about Frankie coming up with the idea to put Zach on the block.
  • Music to Derrick's ears!
  • Christine kept crying and honking.
  • Cody thinks he'd stay over Zach but was worried he'd leave if up against either Christine or Victoria.
  • Now, I'd like to see Christine go. She skeeves me out on too many levels.
  • But Cody might be better to be against in the final two than Victoria. He's won fewer comps and only when paired with someone else (if memory serves). To me, he's kind of worthless. Not only that, but he doesn't even seem as good-looking as he did in the beginning of the season.
  • Derrick thinks that the ZingBot shouldn't have brought family (Christine's husband) into the zings.
  • While Derrick had been chosen to host the PoV comp, he didn't -- Kathy Griffin did. BB gave him goggles as a consolation prize.
  • Frankie decided he wants to euthanize Zach, not murder him.
  • Cody doesn't know the word "euthanize."
  • Oh! Hey! Maybe Frankie's a PROFESSOR!
  • Frankie then made cruder remarks about killing Zach, but I won't go into them here. I try to keep this blog a PG level!
  • Victoria's worried about what fans will think of her after the show.
  • Heck, going onto the show, that should be a consideration. Many normal people wouldn't want the internet and TV viewing audience scrutinizing their every breath for three months!
  • Meanwhile, in other news, Christine is upset that something of hers has mysteriously gone missing.
  • Under the drama, Team America is working on the latest mission.
  • Derrick spent forever consoling Christine about her zing.
  • He really has a good heart. Too bad ZingBot doesn't notice things like that!
  • They're (Caleb) not planning to tell Zach he's going up until just before the PoV meeting on Monday.
  • Of course, things could change by then.

I won PoV and did you know about my sister?

Too touchy-feely!

HONK!

Derrick consoles Christine

Zach should have earned that robe!

Big Brother 16: Live Feeds - PoV Winner Update - August 16

Look who's wearing the PoV necklace

Yep, Frankie won with Caleb on his tail.

The ZingBot visited. Kathy Griffin was also there. The ZingBot joked about Christine (the married woman) hanging all over Cody. ZING! Yes! Christine is all upset, so she hung onto Cody. Frankie wants to put Victoria on the block.

More much much later.

Big Brother 16: Live Feeds - BOB's over, waiting on PoV Friday night - August 16-17

A well-deserved smile

Welp, the Battle of the Block is over and they're just waiting on the PoV comp as I get this written up. Here's what's been happening inside that Big Brother House of Continuous Comps for Three Days and Boredom for Four:
  • If you recall, Donny and Christine were teamed together as Derrick's nominees; Caleb and Cody as Frankie's.
  • Christine was supposed to throw the BoB, Derrick remain the sole HoH.
  • Donny was the target. Or, if tides turned, dethroned Frankie or Christine's names were being tossed about a bit, too. Derrick promised Victoria safety.
  • So ... Christine did throw the comp.
  • No, she didn't just sit out like Caleb did last week.
  • She actually threw the comp.
  • Didn't matter.
  • Donny won it pretty much on his own.
  • I'm sure it helped that Caleb and Cody bungled about and did so poorly.
  • Doesn't matter.
  • Donny's safe for yet another week!
  • Derrick is dethroned, but I doubt he's in any danger of being nominated.
  • On the other hand, Victoria just might be in deep doo-doo.
  • Not only did Donny win, but he knows Derrick was masterminding his exit this week. Before the comp, he questioned the whole Skittles pick thing. After the BoB, at one point Derrick left the room after having a congratulatory talk with Donny and Donny just threw up a WTF kind of gesture as the door closed. He knows the score.
  • Caleb is sure that BB was somehow transmitting signals to Donny during the comp.
  • @@
  • It was one of those where they're in a dark scary place and have to find items -- in this case, bones.
  • They were all covered with blue dirt and such.
  • Derrick got dunked in orange goop upon dethronement.
  • Caleb and Zach were talking in the storage room. Caleb KNOWS Donny isn't what he says he is! No way could a janitor or groundskeeper be that slick! No way!
  • Although we know that Derrick's plan went hugely awry, the way he's handling things shows just how good he is at this stuff.
  • It's almost like it's seamless.
  • He doesn't want to draw attention to himself by fighting to save Victoria when the rest want to target her. That would do his own game no good even if his hope was to beat Victoria in the final two.
  • So, he has to break the news to Victoria that he has no control and that she just might go on the block and could get evicted.
  • Hey, it's not HIS fault! It's out of his hands!
  • She tells him that if she goes, she doesn't want to see him in jury and will vote for him to win.
  • Mission accomplished.
  • Speaking of missions, Team America is definitely on board with the latest one, but won't start on it until after the veto comp. They have until Wednesday to complete it.
  • Oh ... and speaking of Team America, both Frankie and Derrick are acting to Donny's face that it's fantastic that he won the BOB and they're thrilled he's staying.
  • He sees right through them, but remains pleasant and cordial AS IF he believes they're happy with the BOB outcome.
  • Derrick told Frankie that he thinks Donny hasn't been on board with the TA thing all along while they have.
  • He also told him that he's been wanting to work with Donny but doesn't think Donny has trusted him all along.
  • He's right.
  • If no one uses the veto and Caleb and Cody remain on the block, they think it will probably be Caleb going home.
  • In an unusual sense of timing, the veto players were picked -- Besides Frankie, Cody and Caleb -- Victoria, Donny and Christine. Derrick will host.
  • Thus starts the speculation about who would do what with the veto if they won.
  • @@
  • Victoria told Derrick she would probably keep the nominations the same so he wouldn't be in danger.
  • Aw, isn't that just so sweet ...!
  • They think something is up with the timing as the players are usually picked in the morning.
  • While they've been hoping for ZingBot, we know it's actually coming.
  • But, kind of like Santa Claus, it doesn't usually arrive until the good boys and girls are all snuggled in their beds.
  • That could be 10am with this all-night crowd!

Donny's no groundskeeper or janitor!

So, what's going to happen now?

Steal those stolen bunny slippers!

This stuff isn't good for my psoriasis.

Dethroned and orange

My future is now murky

Big Brother 16: Live Feeds Friday daytime & nominations! - August 15

Nominations Today

Here's what's been happening so far today inside that Big Brother House of Now Waiting for BOB:
  • While still fussing about going on the block so much, Caleb is thrilled to be off of slop. He's trying to catch up with the calories he lost.
  • While the feeds were blocked with Jeff interviews/highlights for the nominations, we got a sneak peek of what goes down behind the walls as they angled for shots and a staff member (or hamster tech!) walked through the house.
  • Oops!
  • There was no sound. But it looked like the hamsters were not happy little rodents.
  • As per the Skittles pick -- Derrick nominated Donny and Christine while Frankie nominated Caleb and Cody.
  • Caleb is sure that Survivor is going to snatch him right up!
  • @@
  • Derrick had told Donny about the Skittles pick and how he was the only one not there because he was sleeping.
  • He didn't tell him his Skittle was already in the hat!
  • Derrick pointed out that if the competition is mental, he and Christine should win hands down.
  • He didn't tell him that Christine is going to throw the comp.
  • But, who knows if she actually will throw it? Zach was right in that it's getting a bit late in the game to throw comps -- others could seize the opportunity to get you out much more easily.
  • Derrick got the Team America mission. We chose the stealing of an item of clothes from each person (including themselves) and setting up a 24 hour neighborhood watch patrol which they can participate in, but also have to involve three others.
  • They declare it doable!
  • They think Caleb would jump at the chance for the neighborhood watch.
  • I think they should steal Caleb's Amber's bunny slippers!
  • BB gave them arts and crafts from the dollar store to amuse themselves.
  • Still no word on when the BOB is going down. They're on indoor lockdown awaiting it.

Telling Donny he should be safe

Not done up for the day

Lost in his thoughts (or lack thereof)

Big Brother 16: Live Feeds Thursday evening - August 14

Whatever will I do?

What's been happening since Derrick and Frankie became HoHs? Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Did You Hear My Sister is Famous?:
  • The hamsters think Caleb must be the most popular because Julie asks him questions each week. They noticed that Julie had nothing to ask of outgoing HoH Christine.
  • Hmm. Maybe Christine skeeves out Julie Chen, too!
  • Derrick told Victoria that she's safe and Frankie won't backdoor her, either.
  • Caleb wants Derrick to be the remaining HoH this week.
  • So do I.
  • Hey ... then they could backdoor FRANKIE! Yes!
  • Alone for a few minutes, Derrick talked to us. He said it was another win for the boys in blue. But he's worried if he wins too many HoHs, they'll want him out. He also said he knows that there's no way that Donny can't go on the block this week and it's going to be rough. He predicts fireworks when they make the nominations.
  • Heh. Frankie told Victoria that Julie wanted her to answer the question she asked with Ariana Grande being the biggest moment.
  • I so love that she didn't!
  • Derrick told Frankie that he won't backdoor him (sigh), but wants to remain HoH this week as he thinks next week is endurance and Frankie would be better at it than him.
  • Both Frankie and Derrick agree that Donny must go home this week.
  • Wah.
  • They're thinking Derrick will put up Donny and Zach while Frankie puts Christine and Cody.
  • Hmm.
  • Frankie is all in a panic because Cody has said he doesn't want to be on the block.
  • Heck, who does? It's about time Cody had to worry a bit!
  • In a rare moment for this season, BB gave them alcohol -- one bottle of wine and six beers. Oh my. I hope they all don't go into drunken rages!
  • Derrick talked to Donny. He told him that people want him to put him (Donny) up with Victoria so they would lose BOB. He won't do that.
  • Derrick told Donny it would look fishy if he doesn't nominate him.
  • Tru dat. But we know Derrick has another agenda besides Team America, too -- his own goals in the game.
  • Derrick also told him that he's thinking of putting him up with Zach.
  • But is Zach okay with this?
  • No way!
  • He pouts.
  • Cody pouts.
  • Geez, if they didn't want to go on the block, they should have won HoH! The numbers are down.
  • Of course, Victoria could go on the block.
  • But she can't.
  • Derrick won't have that.
  • Zach claims he wouldn't feel comfortable throwing the BOB.
  • In a way, I don't blame him. He needs to think of his own game.
  • But Derrick doesn't feel that way!
  • Who wants to see my HoH room?
  • Frankie got a letter from his sister in which she said she will be hosting the VMA awards. Derrick got a letter from his wife with updates on his young daughter (who's at that stage where she's speaking new words everyday and such).
  • After Derrick read his letter (second, of course) and the hamsters were praising his daughter's progress ... Frankie (missing the spotlight) had to burst in with, "Did you hear my sister's hosting the VMAs?"
  • Then it's back to fussing about who goes on the block.
  • Zach says it's too late in the game to be throwing comps.
  • Cody says that he isn't "comfortable" with going up if Zach isn't throwing the comp and that he won't throw the comp if he goes up with Donny.
  • Fuss, fuss, whine, whine.
  • Caleb said he won't volunteer because he volunteered last week.
  • And we all know that he doesn't have a clue how to throw a comp anyway!
  • Finally at one point, Zach claimed that everyone was attacking him and he would throw the comp if they want.
  • Cody told Derrick that if he was put on the block with Donny, he'd throw it but he didn't want to say it in front of Caleb.
  • Christine told them she'd throw it
  • They continued to whine and fuss.
  • What to do? What to do?
  • Why, let's draw Skittles!
  • Christine's color is drawn and it is she who will be on the block with Donny.
  • Cody and Caleb's colors are drawn as the opposing nominees.
  • Caleb is ticked that Zach's not on the block.
  • After all, Caleb has done so much for the alliance!
  • (Yeah, like blowing last week's BOB throw!)
  • Caleb thinks they should backdoor Zach.
  • So ... our happy little group is falling apart and the cannibalism has begun.

Did you hear my sister is famous?

Am I in trouble this week again?

We might have to beast this out

Will I really be safe? I'm not so sure.

Who wants to see their HoH room?

Big Brother 16: Live Eviction and HoH Comp Show Blog Party - August 14

Big Brother summer on Make A Gif

Hey, I think we need a blog party! Don't you?

As tonight's live eviction/HoH show airs here on the East Coast, I'll update this entry with the major happenings. Refresh the page to get the latest news!

Where's the party? Down in comments, naturally! Come join us!

Recap, recap. Mention of the Caleb, Christine and Frankie "exclusive NFL experience." Joy, joy.

Nicole is hurt. But we knew that. Christine tells her she was threatened with going home next week if she didn't put her on the block.

The Have Nots, Zach and Donny talk. Donny tells Zach how alone he feels.

Nicole cries some more. Yes! Nicole and Victoria talk about how raunchy Christine's hanging all over Cody when she's a married woman is!

Nicole tries to campaign.

Cody and Christine want to keep her. Derrick wants to keep Donny for Team America.

The big NFL outing is to training camp.

Live vote time. They can speak --
Nicole -- Amazing journey, dream come true, love you all.
Donny -- Great playing the game, like little brothers and sisters to me.

The vote to evict:
Caleb -- Nicole
Zach -- Nicole
Cody -- Nicole
Victoria -- Nicole
Frankie -- Nicole
Derrick -- Nicole

As we gleaned from the live feeds, it's unanimous that Nicole heads off to jury.

The HoH comp is once again for two HoH.

She was worried she'd get boo'ed -- I think she got the loudest cheer this season! Derrick, Christine, Frankie and Donny all left nice goodbye messages for her. Three of them are thinking jury votes, I think. But it was nice. She handled everything well.

HoH comp -- last night's "disturbing visitors." The old ghosts in the mirrors bit. The monitor announces zombie-like creatures. Zombie apocalypse.

Dead of Household -- the yard is done up like a graveyard. They have to answer according the the announcements from last night.

Caleb is out.
Donny and Victoria out.
Zach is out.
Cody out.

Derrick and Frankie are the two new HoH.

America's Vote -- steal clothing, neighborhood watch formed or weaken someone's game by keeping them awake. cbs.com to vote.

Julie gets Rachel's take on the season.

This is the last week of the double HoH. Zing Bot will be on the PoV Wednesday show and next week the four jurors vie to get back in the house.

Big Brother 16: Live Feeds into Thursday - August 14

Up all night

Not that it matters because they're up all night every night ... but BB has them still up. Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of the Undead:
  • What if Frankie danced and no one paid attention?
  • Heh.
  • Nicole is scared she'll get boos from the audience tomorrow.
  • Poor kid. She won't get boos.
  • Cody and Zach tried to make her feel better.
  • Cody cuddled with her.
  • But, then again, she's female with a pulse. That's enough for Cody to cuddle.
  • When Zach fussed, Nicole told him that he (Zach) isn't cuddly.
  • Caleb, in his storytelling mode once again, told of a time he punched himself in the face and told everyone else he got hurt defending a girl.
  • @@
  • The boy is whack.
  • Cody joked that the show fans probably hate Christine.
  • Oh, it ain't no joke, son!
  • Well, I don't "hate" her per se. I don't ever "hate" anyone on any of the shows I watch.
  • But certain people tend to annoy me, irk me or just plain skeeve me out.
  • Christine falls into that category.
  • Heh. Derrick has to do his work again -- both Zach and Caleb are questioning why it matters whether Donny or Victoria are targeted next week. We know Derrick wants to keep Victoria around for now ... for his own nefarious game interests. Nothing sexual, mind you.
  • Donny thinks he might be in a household of children who were stuck in middle school mode -- a new disease, perhaps.
  • Nicole and Donny talked about Christine always touching Cody.
  • Donny mimicked Cody's "baby-talk voice."
  • Donny and Nicole also talked about how good Derrick is at the game.
  • That's exactly why he didn't align with them in the first place, I think. He chose minions who will do his will and think it's their own idea.
  • And then it happened ...
  • A shot rang out! The maid screamed!
  • Er, no. Nicole saw a skeleton in one of the mirrors!
  • More ghosts/skeletons!
  • The HoH room is mysteriously locked and the Diary Room won't let anyone in!
  • They're trapped together with nowhere to hide from the horrors!
  • Oh my.
  • Then the BB voice starting talking, most of it blocked to the feeds.
  • We got fish, glub, glub.
  • It was apparently listing off the cities (of hamsters or near them as it said West Orange, NJ which is near me but not that close to Cody) of the zombie apocalypse.
  • Rochester, NY, Athens, Dallas ...
  • "In the last twelve hours, 546 cases, 40% live feeders admitted to St. Gheesling Hospital."
  • I survived the zombie apocalypse! Yay!
  • Frankie tried to write the info down and BB yelled at him.
  • They're trying to get some sleep now.
  • But I bet it will be interrupted.
  • Oh. And Nicole is still the target tonight.

Big Brother 16: Live Feeds Wednesday into the evening - August 13

What has Cody done lately?

Welcome back, my friends, to the show that never ends! I'm glad that you could attend, step inside, step inside. (My apologies to Emerson, Lake and Palmer). Here's what's happened since I last reported on the happenings inside that Big Brother House of Brain Salad Surgery:
  • Why the old Brain Salad Surgery song stuff? It's Derrick. It's like he's performing said surgery on his fellow hamsters.
  • Either that or his minions are just zombies acting on his will.
  • Zach has done his best to try to get the others to change their minds on Nicole. He knows she hasn't been lying.
  • But Derrick wants her out and Donny safe.
  • So be it, minions! Do not question divine intervention!
  • Even his buddy Cody questions the logic of getting Nicole out first.
  • Derrick smooth talks his best buds, telling them that Nicole is an HoH beast and, if she won the next one, they'd be on the block. With two of them up, it's very possible one would go home.
  • Zach doesn't want to work with Christine and Frankie (or Caleb because he's now hooked to Frankie -- after all, he might meet Justin Bieber!) anymore.
  • Derrick convinces him it's in his best interest to work with them for now.
  • Caleb told Nicole that he doesn't think she's a liar.
  • She's very upset that they're using that angle to get her evicted when she's only been guilty of "telling the truth to the wrong people."
  • But Caleb, mindless puppet of power that he is, will go with the house vote.
  • Nicole tried fruitlessly to campaign. She doesn't want to say anything really bad about Donny, but feels she's being railroaded.
  • She is.
  • Frankie seems to want to keep Donny in the house longer than Derrick does.
  • But I imagine both Frankie and Donny will go within a week or two of each other.
  • Caleb, er, Beast Mode Cowboy, thinks he will be approached in airports and Wal-Mart for autographs.
  • @@
  • Remember, he also thought he'd get a tux for the red carpet on the finale night.
  • @@
  • Nicole started packing up her stuff.
  • They're in a lockdown while tomorrow night's comp is being built in the yard.
  • Derrick consoled Victoria more and told her that she'll be around for weeks to come -- there are bigger targets.
  • When Caleb voiced concerns about Nicole going, Derrick convinced him that had Hayden won HoH, they'd be doing it to them.
  • It's Big Brother, after all.
  • That's how they roll.
  • As I get this posted, it's still looking like a unanimous vote to evict Nicole and she knows it.

Who needs to go next?

You're probably going, Nicole.

Zankie does Jenga

Yeah, I'm a big shot NOW!

Big Brother 16: Power of Veto Show Blog Party - August 13

Big Brother summer on Make A Gif

Good evening! Are you ready for some PoV? As tonight's show airs here on the East Coast, I'll update this entry with the major happenings. Refresh the page to get the latest news!

As always, the real party is in the comments area. Come join in on the fun!

The fallout from the double eviction, HoH and BOB comps continue and Frankie feels he can save himself with his "big secret."

Frankie exaggerates his YouTube following and tells of his "superstar" sister (whom I had never heard of before the casting of BB). He says the pressure of keeping the secret made him lie. Oh geez. Playing the game for a charity to build a school in Africa.

Veto players - Christine draws Derrick, Zach draws Caleb, Donny draws Nicole. Victoria hosts in a luau outfit. The comp is the Otev one with a Hawaiian theme. Otev the Pissed Off Penguin is sweating and wants a drink. They have to retrieve the right drink and present it to him. One less rock to kneel on each round.

Donny out first. Then Nicole out. Christine out. Derrick out.

ZACH wins the power of veto!

Uh-oh. Zach tells Victoria about the alliance he's in with her best friend Derrick. Zach lies to Derrick and tells him Nicole told Victoria about the alliance.

Derrick and Donny decide that with Donny on the block, their mission cannot be completed.

Derrick decides that Nicole needs to be put on the block when Zach comes down. Caleb makes it sound like Nicole is the biggest liar in the house, telling them she's working with Christine. They also hand out a veiled threat that if she doesn't put Nicole up, she's out next week.

Veto meeting time. Zach saves himself. Christine nominates Nicole in his place, taking the knife out of her back and returning it to its owner. (Her speech, not mine!)

Big Brother 16: Live Feeds into Tuesday evening - August 12

I spend 6-7 hours awake alone

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of the Solitary Man:
  • I know this is getting posted late and I haven't posted since early this morning.
  • I call boredom.
  • I wish I could call shenanigans, but that's not the case.
  • BB woke them up around 9:30am their time. Most stayed up for less than an hour, then headed back to bed.
  • Donny stayed up and did his usual morning exercise routine.
  • Later on, when he was joined by Nicole, he told her every day he spends about seven hours awake while the rest of the house sleeps.
  • I'd go bonkers doing that without a good book, music, television, movies, the internet ... something to do other than think of the predicament I'm in!
  • Most of the others didn't come out of bed until afternoon.
  • Caleb was his earliest companion (so to speak), but went back to bed later and didn't re-emerge until around 5pm.
  • Nicole and Donny had a long talk while most of the others slept.
  • She's pretty sure she's going home this week.
  • Well, to jury.
  • She says the positive part of it will be that she'll be with people she likes -- Jocasta and Hayden. She hates trying to be nice to people she really doesn't like at all.
  • They mused about Christine hanging all over Cody and how sickening it is for a married woman to behave like that.
  • Donny told her that the "Four Horsemen" of this season are Derrick, Cody, Christine and Frankie. He thinks they use Caleb as a target.
  • Heck, they use Zach, too!
  • Donny mentioned that Caleb's so dumb (how dumb is he?) that he doesn't even know how to throw a comp! You have to sabotage the comp, not just sit it out!
  • Christine got her HoH camera. She and Cody took photos, then asked Donny to take some photos of them.
  • @@
  • Donny claimed that Frankie has lived in the HoH room every week except when he (Donny) was HoH. Nicole pointed out he only slept once in her HoH room.
  • But, other than that ...
  • Both Donny and Nicole think that Zach has a likable sensitive side.
  • But neither trusts him.
  • As it should be.
  • I honestly think Zach doesn't trust himself.
  • As it should be.
  • Donny thinks Cody has been manipulated.
  • You don't say!
  • Nicole said she only trusted Cody because Hayden told her to trust him. Then Cody ran and told Christine everything she said.
  • She stopped trusting Cody.
  • BB gave them a badminton set without a net and a Jenga game.
  • They all had fun with the badminton.
  • For a while, they seemed to forget they're but hamsters in a Habitrail.
  • Christine has this thing for Dan Gheesling. He better run. And, she just better not EVER think she's in the same BB league as he is!
  • Victoria and Cody both want Donny out next week.
  • They don't know for sure why it's Nicole targeted instead of Donny this week.
  • We know why.
  • Nicole campaigned for herself and even a bit for Donny to stay as long as possible if she leaves this week.
  • Christine said she can't stand Donny.
  • Well, Christine, I don't speak for the entire world, but I haven't seen not one real "fan" of yours here on the blog or out and about on the internet.
  • Donny has many. No, he's not going to win it all. But he's already a winner in many ways.
  • The three Team America members actually were able to talk for a bit. They're hoping their next mission will be more along the lines of the first one. The last few Mission Impossibles have been ones which could jeopardize their own games.
  • Christine is trying to talk Derrick et al into voting out Donny and keeping Nicole.
  • I don't think it will happen.
  •

I walk the yard alone

I sit alone

And now they want me to take pictures

I do have one friend, but not for long

Big Brother 16: Live Feeds into Tuesday - August 12

Who will I send home next?

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Misery:
  • Nicole is frustrated and crying a lot. She says she's played a clean game.
  • She has.
  • But that doesn't cut it in the habitrail.
  • Nicole told Victoria that Frankie thinks he has her in his pocket because he knew she's infatuated with his sister. Nicole thinks Frankie did the big reveal just to get Victoria.
  • No, I don't think so.
  • I think Frankie did it because he was falling out of favor and he thought it would make him the star and focus once again.
  • Victoria is worried because Christine is getting closer with Derrick.
  • Ew.
  • Donny said that if he won HoH, he probably wouldn't put Derrick on the block because everyone likes him. (They'd be mad at Donny and wouldn't vote out Derrick.)
  • Cody really wants Donny out. Maybe not this week as he'll go with the house on the Nicole plan. But next?
  • A girl called over the fence that she loves Zach.
  • Christine thinks that's disgusting -- but then she said some people liked Evel Dick, too.
  • Um.
  • I would have found it disgusting if someone had called her name.
  • Derrick told Cody he plans to get Donny out next, then Victoria.
  • I beg to differ!
  • He probably said that so that Cody will think it's his own idea to go after Frankie or Zach and Derrick's hands will remain squeaky clean.
  • Nicole is still the target this week ...

More bearable without Amber, but still ...

Lies! Lies!

Still bye-bye is planned
