Big Brother 16: Live Feeds Nominations Bulletin - September 5

Nominations seem to be in. No surprises -- it's what Frankie said he was going to do. Victoria and Cody on the block; Victoria is the target. Cody has been assured safety by Caleb. We keep getting interference with random Jeff interviews. However, due to extended Jeff interviews before the conversation between Cody and Caleb about Derrick and him not voting him out if the veto isn't used ... I'm calling it. If I hear different, I'll update.

Of course, none of them know this is all for naught as they pushed the reset button.

Big Brother 16: Live Feeds Thursday Night/New HoH into Friday - September 5

The final five

Well, Christine's out, but we still have Frankie. Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Pushing My Buttons:
  • They're all amazed at the boos they heard when Christine walked out.
  • Cody is really worried that he'll be booed when he goes.
  • Derrick thinks America might hate her due to both the married woman hanging out all over Cody thing plus mean things she's said.
  • Spot on.
  • We just don't like her.
  • They noted the boos for Christine were louder than they were for Aaryn and her racially charged behavior/words last season.
  • They also thought that Ariana might be in the DE audience and led the booing. Nicole told them that she had been in the audience at the first DE.
  • Did you realize that Frankie has a famous sister named Ariana?
  • Did you realize that Frankie himself is famous?
  • Oh my.
  • BB let them in the ex-Have Not room. It's now all red and black "Game" print with a huge mirror on one wall and it has the pedestal with the button. The latter is covered with a plexiglass box.
  • The words 'The choice is yours' are flashing on a marque.
  • The feeds went to Jeff interviews and, on BBAD, Derrick sitting alone, as the HoH comp was played.
  • Sigh.
  • Frankie won HoH.
  • Sigh.
  • Wah.
  • Of course, Victoria will be the target.
  • Wah.
  • Derrick doesn't think she should be told until the very last moment.
  • Then they had the choice to push the button -- the plexiglass box covering it was gone.
  • Holla!
  • Even though Derrick was very reluctant, the peer pressure was too much.
  • They all pushed the button in unison.
  • They house blew up.
  • BANG.
  • Er, no. The marque changed to a countdown -- Five days, 19 hours, ten minutes.
  • They figure that would be Wednesday.
  • Derrick, Caleb and Frankie talked about being the final three.
  • It sounds like Cody will go on the block with Victoria. According to Frankie he'll put up the one who's most likely to put him on the block.
  • Well, yeah. That would be Cody. But I'd definitely want Cody to be in there longer than Frankie.
  • Holla!
  • Frankie told Derrick he might say he's going to put up Derrick as he's never been on the block.
  • But that won't be what happens.
  • Frankie doesn't care that his HoH will be "wasted" by voting out Victoria.
  • Derrick got his HoH basket. He didn't like the picture and didn't show it to the others.
  • Hmm.
  • Maybe he's a cop!
  • Then he makes it sound like it's something that might hurt his wife or daughter.
  • Hmm. I doubt we'll ever see that picture!
  • Then every time he or another mentioned his wife, we got blocked feeds.
  • Curiouser and curiouser.
  • Then Derrick went in and out of the Diary Room with a handprint, picture of Tenley and a letter/poem from his wife in which she said how much she loves him.
  • Huh.
  • Maybe it's something as simple as her being in her work clothes and exposing her company (against many rules with many companies) or something.
  • We just don't know.
  • They think it's better they all pushed the button at once.
  • They think BB figured someone would sneak in and push it.
  • Either way, there was a button. It would be pushed.
  • Zach's voice is shouting, "Holla! Froot Loop dingus!"
  • They also got Donny, Jocasta and Hayden hollas.
  • Can I get a HOLLA?
  • Frankie's room reveal was late.
  • They're all still awake as I post this.

Cody worries about being booed

Wondering what's in that room

Game - "It's your choice"

This can't be good

And, now he's HoH. Wah!

Do we really want to do this?

They all push the button

Big Brother 16: Live Double Eviction, HoH Show Blog Party - September 4

Big Brother summer on Make A Gif

At least with the double eviction tonight, we have something that isn't all that predictable ahead of us. As the show airs here on the East Coast, I'll update this entry with the major happenings. Refresh the page to get the latest news!

But, if you want to head to the party, head on down to the comments area! I hope to see you there!

Nicole is gone, as expected, in yet another unanimous vote.

The first HoH comp is "What the bleep?" true or false

DERRICK wins HoH in the first round!

In quick talks one by one, Derrick is telling them that if Christine wins veto, Frankie goes home.

He makes the nominations -- Christine and Victoria. He says he's going with the house. The live veto comp is next.

PoV comp -- Mazed and Confused -- navigating a ball through three crop circle mazes. Kind of like the shark thing last year.

Frankie wins the PoV! We're shown Derrick conferring with Frankie ... oust Christine? Hmm ... too good to be true! Caleb agrees, Cody agrees.

To the living room.
Speech time -- Christine -- really close. Victoria -- tried my best want to stay.

Frankie decides NOT to use the Power of Veto. The nominations remain the same!

Team America mission -- convince others to fast or convince them there's a rodent in the house -- go to website for details.

Speech time - Christine wants more fun. Victoria would appreciate it if she can stay.

The votes to evict:
Frankie -- Christine
Caleb -- Christine
Cody -- Christine

Another unanimous vote -- Christine is OUT!

Whoa. She didn't even say goodbye to them. There were some boos heard by all!

Big Brother rewind button in effect next week. Next week's nominees might become un-nominated if a button is pushed.

Next week the show shifts to Tuesday and Wednesday.

In the house, they see the button. Frankie keeps telling Caleb not to touch it.

Big Brother 16: Live Feeds Wednesday night into Thursday - September 4

Late night (strategic) talk with Nicole

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Misery:
  • Christine and Frankie made amends.
  • We'll see how long that lasts.
  • Frankie blamed Nicole for setting them against each other.
  • @@
  • Yeah, right. Blame the girl you're sending home and cannot defend herself.
  • They all got really loud and obnoxious with their little amount of alcohol in them.
  • Christine said her mother grew up in Albany, NY.
  • Frankie said he did a show once in Albany, NY.
  • Christine said what a pretty city it is.
  • Um.
  • I went to college and my first apartment was in Albany, NY. It was long ago and far away, but I think I can speak for Albany, NY -- stay out of town, Frankie and Christine!
  • Holla!
  • Cody still wants Frankie out before Christine for his own game.
  • Derrick would prefer Christine out first, then Frankie, as he wants to keep the guys intact for the final four. He thinks Frankie would remain loyal to them to get to that point.
  • Cody says none of his friends have apartments of their own and he lives with his parents, so he can't really have girls over.
  • My gosh, we have a generation of adult kids living off their parents! I know the economy isn't what it was, but roommates should make moving out doable even with a minimum wage job! Don't they WANT to be on their own?
  • Derrick said that Cody is using his good looks as strategy as he flirts with the girls.
  • Well, yeah, dude!
  • Holla!
  • Christine went into the dark bedroom and molested the Dino head, then molested Cody's hair and head in bed.
  • Ew.
  • Nicole told Derrick that Cody has a good chance of winning over the jury votes, as does Caleb.
  • Now, that's why Derrick would want to bring Victoria to the final two with him instead of his boyz!
  • But the logistics of getting that done get trickier by the day. He might convince them to get rid of Christine before Victoria, but the rest would be hard.
  • D-Bomb! HOLLA!
  • You gotta start winning comps, dude! Holla, it's the truth.

Big Brother 16: Live Feeds Wednesday into the evening - September 3

    What? A big alliance? Me?

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Breaking Have Not:
    • At one point, Derrick apologized to us for being boring.
    • I think we deserve a bigger apology!
    • Nicole told Derrick that she knows everything she says to him gets back to Cody.
    • Oh noes! I don't do that!
    • Her feelings are hurt.
    • He's deeply offended.
    • Oh my.
    • She said she knows there's a final four deal.
    • He denies it.
    • It's still boring. A boring slight kerfuffle.
    • Derrick so wants to keep that Nicole jury vote.
    • The kerfuffle was interrupted by the BB voice telling them they get to choose a special lunch.
    • Yep, the Have Not phase has been broken!
    • They have to clear out the Have Not room.
    • They got In-N-Out Burgers much to the dismay of Frankie who doesn't eat red meat and Christine who's always snacking yet claims to be allergic to everything.
    • Frankie ended up with a burger.
    • Christine thinks her burger must have touched gluten or they must use vegetable oil for the fries. "It's disgusting!" and she's sick.
    • @@
    • She then whined that her hands smelled like In-N-Out no matter how much she washed him.
    • Huh. I don't see her whining that her hands smell like feet when she picks at her toes and then nibbles her fingers!
    • There was an HoH lockdown which was eventually replaced by the Jeff interviews/clips reels.
    • What's up? What's up?
    • Oh.
    • Apparently they had music for them.
    • They felt let down, too.
    • BB gave them three beers and a bottle of wine.
    • Go, party animals.
    • Holla!

Big Brother 16: Power of Veto Show Blog Party - September 3

Big Brother summer on Make A Gif

Good evening! Welcome to the party! The more boring they are, I say the more we party! (Then it won't matter that the hamsters are such a snoozefest.)

As the show airs here on the East Coast, I'll update this entry with the major happenings. Refresh the page to get the latest news! However, as I know you all know, the real party is in the comments. Come join us there!

Derrick would prefer Christine is the target. But he wisely decides to wait until after the veto comp to push his agenda. Caleb thinks that if Nicole wins the veto, he'll put Victoria up and she'd go home. Derrick plants the seeds for a Christine ouster if she doesn't win veto. Derrick goes on to plant the seeds for a final two with Caleb instead of Frankie.

Time to pick players for the veto comp. Joy! Joy! Caleb draws Houseguest Choice and decides Cody because he isn't walking wounded from the HoH comp. Nicole draws Derrick. Holla! Christine draws Victoria. Frankie is the only one not playing.

Frankie has a fit because he's not playing. That casts suspicion from his buddies. Derrick still wants Christine out.

    Holla!

Veto comp time -- Frankie has an orange safety vest. The backyard is done up with TNT and they'll see a video and cut the right wire to defuse their dynamite. First player(s) to blow up the dynamite will be dinosaurs for the week.

Cody blows up in the first round by choosing blue over green. (They were shown a sequence of colors and told to cut the second one.)

Caleb out next. "Dagnabbit!" Derrick wants Nicole to win. Victoria out next.

Derrick deliberately cuts the wrong wire while Nicole accidentally cut the wrong one. Christine wins PoV.

Caleb is getting bad vibes about Frankie. Cody is catching the anti-Frankie fever.

    Cody got his dinosaur costume.

The rest of the Bomb Squad seriously thinks over sending Frankie out.

Nicole tells Derrick he's playing a perfect game and is the closest thing to Dan Gheesling. Derrick panics. No one was supposed to notice that! Now he's worried she'll spill and he needs to flip the script on the backdoor Frankie plan.

Veto meeting. Christine saves herself. Caleb nominates Victoria in her place. He tells her that she's safe. Nicole is the main target.

Dang, that was outright MEAN. Nicole was right when she said it was mean on the live feeds after the meeting.

Big Brother 16: Live Feeds Tuesday into Wednesday - September 3

    Another exciting game of pool

Once again, I really couldn't come up with much of an update because there's so much nothing going on in the house right now! Even the strategy talks are treading trodden trails and it's like living Groundhog Day over and over again to listen to them. So, as a result, I'm putting up more screen caps than actual updates in this post. Here ya go:
    • Frankie and Christine really dislike each other. Both claim they were close in the first month, then pretty much decided they didn't like each other.
    • Christine told Cody he's the only one in the house she trusts.
    • She's been hanging out with Nicole and Victoria a lot.
    • But Nicole is going home tomorrow and she mocks Victoria every chance she gets when she's with her Boyz.
    • Derrick is pushing for the Bomb Squad/Detonators to be in the final four just so they could say they made it, much like the Brigade. He seems to be including himself, Cody, Caleb and Frankie with Christine out before the four.
    • He also claims that he and Cody made their own pact on Day Two (whatever) and he wants to honor it.
    • He does seem to be backing off his idea of going to the final two with Victoria. He knows that would guarantee him the win, but the logistics of getting there with her are really iffy now.
    • With his facial hair and a cap, Caleb is looking more like Boston Rob (scruffy version) at times than Eminem/Charlie Sheen.
    • Caleb still has delusions of grandeur.
    • Frankie still thinks he's a beloved star of the show and the world on the whole.
    • Victoria has found out that watching the Israel version of BB in no way prepared her for this summer in the American BB.
    • Christine's incessant laugh and disgusting picking at toes and fingers still creep me out.
    • Holla!
    • Cody was able to change from a long-sleeved, long-pants dinosaur to a short-sleeves, short-panted one. He wears separate dino-paws.
    • Caleb never seems to wear the bunny slippers these days.
    • Could he be over Amber?
    • Well, until the wrap party, he seems to be. He, however, is holding a grudge against Frankie for the lies told to make him turn on Amber.
    • So much talk about "what ifs."
    • I'd like to say WHAT IF Victoria wins HoH?!?! I know it's an improbability, but WHAT IF?
    • I think Cody and Derrick would be the only ones safe with a win by her.
    • I'd like that.
    • We're in the doldrums until tomorrow's eviction(s).
    • Enjoy the pretty pictures!

Big Brother 16: Live Feeds Monday evening into Tuesday - September 2

    Badminton injury/foolish casualty

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Expect the Expected:
    • Nicole knows she will be going home Thursday and is now holding her head high.
    • But she'd still rather stay.
    • Being consoling during all of Victoria's crying is getting to Derrick. His patience is starting to wear thin.
    • Holla!
    • Derrick told Christine that Nicole said that Frankie is playing the best game in the house.
    • I didn't hear her say that. I suppose it's possible she said it as they didn't backdoor him this week, though.
    • Christine said she'd rather lose to any of the other three guys, but not Frankie.
    • She can't stand him, y'know.
    • Nicole said that they put the exact kind of people she said she didn't like in the house. Basically fake happy people, not real people.
    • Derrick has been studying for comps, as has Christine.
    • Cody doesn't think anyone has been studying other than himself and Christine.
    • He needn't worry. Derrick wants him in the house.
    • For now.
    • Christine doesn't think she's done anything to embarrass her parents.
    • How about her husband?
    • Cody got all worried because Caleb talked with Frankie about the idea of backdooring him before deciding to put Victoria on the block.
    • Cody and Derrick think that Caleb needs to go before long because he can't keep his mouth shut.
    • Of course, they could have been rid of one obstacle this week had Caleb put Frankie on the block.
    • Cody and Derrick think Caleb wanted to save Frankie because he sees him as a connection to the music industry.
    • @@
    • The ONLY connection Frankie has is that his sister is apparently and up and coming pop star. If she's bright, she'll distance herself from her brother.
    • Nicole told Derrick that Caleb plans to take Cody to the end so he "can beat the best."
    • Derrick said that's foolish. He plans on taking someone he can beat.
    • Can you say "Victoria?"
    • I'm tired of hearing Derrick say he's 30 and a grown man.
    • I was on my own and "a grown woman" per se by the time I was 18.
    • Of course, he is in a house with a bunch of children who still live with their parents for the most part.
    • Frankie doesn't live with his parents, but I'm sure they have a hand in supporting him and his lifestyle.
    • Nicole is still enthralled with Derrick, now thinks Cody did both her and Hayden in.
    • Yawn.

What? She's not caressing his toes?

Big Brother 16: Live Feeds Bulletin - PoV Meeting Renom - September 1

Scared to make the big move

As Nicole put it: "This place is always so predictable."

Christine saved herself as no one could blame her.

Caleb put Victoria on the block with Nicole going home this week.
    @@

Big Brother 16: Live Feeds Sunday overnight into Monday - September 1

Nicole reacting to Christine's evil eyes?

Good morning, hamster watchers! (Not to be confused with my buddy Dingo at Hamsterwatch, mind you!) Happy Labor Day to you all and I hope most of you won't have to labor through the day! This is a bit of an abbreviated feeds report because most of the talk was circular over the wee hours. Nonetheless, here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Will You PLEASE Get Frankie Out?!?!:
    • Caleb is in a tight spot.
    • He has a chance to make a big move and put Frankie on the block in Christine's place when she saves herself with the veto later today.
    • Much of the night was spent with Cody, Derrick and Caleb discussing the pros and cons over Nicole going home versus Frankie going home.
    • I personally think Frankie going home would be the better choice for all of their games, including Derrick.
    • Derrick was staunchly saying Nicole should go but then admitted that Frankie is more likely to beat them in comps.
    • And on it went.
    • All night long.
    • Now, if Victoria goes on the block with Nicole, Nicole goes home.
    • If Frankie goes on the block with Nicole, Frankie goes.
    • Caleb and Cody seem to have more reasons for Frankie to go.
    • Either way SHOULD be good for puppetmaster Derrick -- Nicole has already told him that if he makes the final two, she's a jury vote for him. If she stays in the game, she's not going to put Derrick on the block.
    • I think his main worry might be that if he's in the end with her, she just might win.
    • But, even if she stays this week and even through the double eviction coming, I don't think she'll make it to the final two.
    • Caleb continues to embellish his military experience. He's gone from being a prison guard with no combat under his belt to being a hero.
    • When he gets out of the house, I'm pretty sure he'll go from hero to zero rather quickly.
    • After the long long long (did I mention it was long?) circular talk about the renom, they decided Nicole would go home (which means Victoria will go on the block).
    • Sigh.
    • Derrick went and told Nicole he did the best he could, but it doesn't look too good for her.
    • @@
    • We'll see what actually happens at the veto meeting later today.
    • Well, we won't actually SEE it because they block that to the live feeds.
    • But we'll know.

Big Brother 16: Live Feeds Sunday into the Evening - August 31

    Dragon at rest

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Reality Bites:
    • Holla
    • Victoria is still all up in arms about Christine "moving in" on Derrick.
    • Derrick is pleasant to Christine, but she's far from his cuppa.
    • The photo booth opened up for Sunday photo funday.
    • Yawn.
    • Caleb is worried that if Frankie wins the HoH comp in the double eviction they're sure is coming this week, he'd put Cody and himself (Caleb) on the block.
    • Easy fix for that, I say. Vote Frankie out before the Hoh comp!
    • Caleb told Nicole that he's sure he'll win against Derrick, Frankie or Christine at the end.
    • @@
    • I'm not so sure that he'd win against Derrick. Frankie and Christine, yeah. But those two need to be gone before the final two. They annoy me.
    • Caleb also said that the Diary Room said that they haven't been getting a lot of alcohol this season because they haven't been requesting it.
    • It could be true. Other seasons they kept begging for alcohol. Not so much this year. Frankie doesn't drink at all; Derrick's not a big drinker. I think some of the others who are gone weren't drinkers.
    • Caleb really doesn't trust Frankie and SEEMS to be pondering him on the block, definitely whoever wins HoH had to put him up.
    • Derrick (for his own game and the possibility that Team America might carry on) keeps saying it's too early.
    • Nicole tried to mend fences with Frankie. Like Donny before her, it's a desperation move.
    • Sure enough, Frankie twisted just about everything she said around.
    • Caleb still thinks he'll be a big celebrity when he leaves the house. He's imagining getting offered movie deals, singing deals and modeling deals.
    • Silly boy. He just vanish into obscurity and will only be known by Big Brother fans.
    • Cody has to pay $800 a month on his $80,000 college loan debt.
    • Oy.
    • Derrick told Caleb the perfect final four for him would be himself, Caleb, Cody and Victoria.
    • Obviously, Caleb would think that Victoria would be the expendable one leading into the final three.
    • I'm not sure that's what Derrick's thinking, though. He's probably thinking he'd be a shoe-in for the win against Victoria in the final two.
    • Another megaphone outside the yard incident. They said something mentioning Frankie, Caleb and Derrick. Possibly derogatory about Frankie; hard to tell.
    • They were sent inside.
    • Derrick claimed they were talking trash about all of them.
    • Hmm.
    • Nicole said that Christine's laugh will haunt her all her life.
    • All of us, Nicole, all of us.

Keep telling yourself it's just a game

A sight for sore eyes, bandaged ones, I hope

Big Brother 16: HoH Comp, Nominations Show Blog Party - August 31

Big Brother summer on Make A Gif

Gee, for a moment I forgot that the television viewing only audience doesn't know who the latest HoH is! Well, that will be remedied tonight. As the show airs here on the East Coast -- actually starting on time -- I'll update this entry with the major happenings. Refresh the page to get the latest!

As always, the real party is in the comments area. I ask that you please try to keep comments to a PG level. I also ask that you not post spoilers from the live feeds in comments as some folks do just watch the show. Yeah, they're getting only the CBS take on it all, but that's how some people do watch it.

    Ready to party?

They continue on with the slip-sliding comp we left off with on Thursday. Derrick wants to go for the money, but has to act like he wants HoH for the others. Lots of falls. Ouch. Derrick got the 5k and the hollas. Nicole tells Christine the gel in the back is thicker -- Nicole figures she was last behind Christine, Frankie and Caleb, maybe Christine would help her.

    Caleb wins HoH!

Frankie is bitter about Donny and feels that Donny didn't pull his weight. Frankie tells America he doesn't care.

Caleb is a hurtin' puppy, (As all if them are.) Frankie goes off on his paranoia about Nicole and Christine working together and pushes Caleb to put both on the block.

CBS is actually showing Frankie as the jerk he is on the live feeds.

They all limp up to Caleb's HoH room. Frankie has attached himself to Caleb as he does with any HoH who will let him. @@

Victoria tells Derrick that Christine is mean, has a weird laugh, laughs at everything. Valid points, I say.

Nicole tries to talk to Caleb. Not to any avail ... he'll "ponder on it."

The Have Not food is "Snot Roast" - variety meats, mushrooms and garlic. Derrick volunteers to be a Have Not.  No one else volunteers. Caleb said they've all done it twice. Frankie has only done it once but doesn't volunteer. Caleb picks Nicole. She cries.

Cody rats out Frankie throwing Caleb under the bus to Caleb.

Nominations today. Caleb nominates Nicole, then Christine. A holla to Derrick keeps interrupting it.  Nicole smart, cute, had three chances to save herself since she came back. Christine, you know why, hope you win.

Off Topic: That Was the Week It Was - August 31, 2014

Good Sunday morning to you, albeit a bit later than my usual! Hey, it's a holiday weekend, y'know! This is my weekly off television topic post reflecting on the week gone by in both words and photos I've taken along the way. If you're looking for my latest Big Brother TV show/live feeds content, you can find that by clicking on this link right here. This photo post is a year 'round staple on the blog; BB is only three months. I could sometimes add "thankfully" to the latter.

I have a rare three-day weekend going on and I've already totally messed up my sleep pattern by taking really long naps Friday evening and yesterday, then being up most of the night. I must not nap today! I can't get into that pattern as I'm back to work on Tuesday. One positive is that I had a four day work week this past week as I took my last paid vacation day yesterday before my PTO turns over. This coming week, I have a four day work week due to the holiday. The week after I have a four day work week as I'm taking the Saturday as a vacation day leading into VACATION. Yay.

As I type this up, CBS Sunday Morning has a segment about workers not taking their full paid vacation time off from work. I never NOT take it. I need it. I've earned it by working decades at the company. I want it. I take it. To the last minute ... my personal days, my holidays and my vacation time ... I take it all. I let sick hours bank up when I'm not having a health crisis of one type or another.

Nothing much has happened this past week. I'm still running on empty despite the four day work week. I will admit that right now I'm feeling incredibly well-rested. What an odd feeling indeed! But I know it won't last. Sigh.

I still have no clue about the new upstairs neighbor(s). I see two Hispanic last names on the mailbox, but I'm wondering if they just didn't know how to make a hyphen with the P-Touch label maker. It sounds like one person, quasi-nocturnal. He/she/they are still ranking as great upstairs neighbor(s) with fairly quiet walking and just the occasional music or television noise wafting through the floors. I've dodged the upstairs neighbor from hell once again. Yay.

They say Plainfield is a rough town. And, it can be in places, sort of like any city I've ever been in. But, now and then, the true spirit of the city shines through. A prime example -- the other day I was walking on the sidewalk near my apartment. I saw a woman standing looking at her car which was parked a bit haphazardly on the street. What I couldn't see is that she was looking a flat tire on the driver's side. I could see she looked confused and like she was about to cry.

Along comes one of the local black street type dudes on his bike. I've seen the guy around for years and he always says hi to me. He stops his bike and asks the woman if he can help. She's a Latina, speaking no English. He proceeds to gesture at her tire and trunk of her car. She smiles and opens the trunk. He gets out the jack and spare tire and starts to work.

When I told him that was very nice of him, he said, "God put me in front of two different ladies with flat tires this week. He must want me to help them, so I do."

Yes, that's Plainfield. The majority of people I know in town are good people and I enjoy living here.

    Just after sunrise these days

Yep, the sunrise is coming through as I walk to the Plainfield Train Station now. I enjoy that. I like sunrises. I actually don't mind the days of walking to the station on the dark mornings, either. It's not like walking the streets of town at night -- the denizens of the streets are gone by the time I pass through after 6am.

    Watching me watching him

The Plainfield Train Station groundhog seems to be disturbed that I know his hiding place. I imagine one of his burrows is near there.

    Brickhenge

The night crowd, mostly drinkers and street people, have taken some of the bricks from where the wall at the Plainfield Train Station let go in the cold from this past winter and have made creations on the ledge. One day I'll go by and it will be a shrine set up to an empty beer bottle or red Solo cup; the next day it's Brickhenge. By the way, they actually did repair the wall at the station.
