Big Brother 16: Live Feeds into Thursday - August 14

Up all night

Not that it matters because they're up all night every night ... but BB has them still up. Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of the Undead:
  • What if Frankie danced and no one paid attention?
  • Heh.
  • Nicole is scared she'll get boos from the audience tomorrow.
  • Poor kid. She won't get boos.
  • Cody and Zach tried to make her feel better.
  • Cody cuddled with her.
  • But, then again, she's female with a pulse. That's enough for Cody to cuddle.
  • When Zach fussed, Nicole told him that he (Zach) isn't cuddly.
  • Caleb, in his storytelling mode once again, told of a time he punched himself in the face and told everyone else he got hurt defending a girl.
  • @@
  • The boy is whack.
  • Cody joked that the show fans probably hate Christine.
  • Oh, it ain't no joke, son!
  • Well, I don't "hate" her per se. I don't ever "hate" anyone on any of the shows I watch.
  • But certain people tend to annoy me, irk me or just plain skeeve me out.
  • Christine falls into that category.
  • Heh. Derrick has to do his work again -- both Zach and Caleb are questioning why it matters whether Donny or Victoria are targeted next week. We know Derrick wants to keep Victoria around for now ... for his own nefarious game interests. Nothing sexual, mind you.
  • Donny thinks he might be in a household of children who were stuck in middle school mode -- a new disease, perhaps.
  • Nicole and Donny talked about Christine always touching Cody.
  • Donny mimicked Cody's "baby-talk voice."
  • Donny and Nicole also talked about how good Derrick is at the game.
  • That's exactly why he didn't align with them in the first place, I think. He chose minions who will do his will and think it's their own idea.
  • And then it happened ...
  • A shot rang out! The maid screamed!
  • Er, no. Nicole saw a skeleton in one of the mirrors!
  • More ghosts/skeletons!
  • The HoH room is mysteriously locked and the Diary Room won't let anyone in!
  • They're trapped together with nowhere to hide from the horrors!
  • Oh my.
  • Then the BB voice starting talking, most of it blocked to the feeds.
  • We got fish, glub, glub.
  • It was apparently listing off the cities (of hamsters or near them as it said West Orange, NJ which is near me but not that close to Cody) of the zombie apocalypse.
  • Rochester, NY, Athens, Dallas ...
  • "In the last twelve hours, 546 cases, 40% live feeders admitted to St. Gheesling Hospital."
  • I survived the zombie apocalypse! Yay!
  • Frankie tried to write the info down and BB yelled at him.
  • They're trying to get some sleep now.
  • But I bet it will be interrupted.
  • Oh. And Nicole is still the target tonight.

Big Brother 16: Live Feeds Wednesday into the evening - August 13

What has Cody done lately?

Welcome back, my friends, to the show that never ends! I'm glad that you could attend, step inside, step inside. (My apologies to Emerson, Lake and Palmer). Here's what's happened since I last reported on the happenings inside that Big Brother House of Brain Salad Surgery:
  • Why the old Brain Salad Surgery song stuff? It's Derrick. It's like he's performing said surgery on his fellow hamsters.
  • Either that or his minions are just zombies acting on his will.
  • Zach has done his best to try to get the others to change their minds on Nicole. He knows she hasn't been lying.
  • But Derrick wants her out and Donny safe.
  • So be it, minions! Do not question divine intervention!
  • Even his buddy Cody questions the logic of getting Nicole out first.
  • Derrick smooth talks his best buds, telling them that Nicole is an HoH beast and, if she won the next one, they'd be on the block. With two of them up, it's very possible one would go home.
  • Zach doesn't want to work with Christine and Frankie (or Caleb because he's now hooked to Frankie -- after all, he might meet Justin Bieber!) anymore.
  • Derrick convinces him it's in his best interest to work with them for now.
  • Caleb told Nicole that he doesn't think she's a liar.
  • She's very upset that they're using that angle to get her evicted when she's only been guilty of "telling the truth to the wrong people."
  • But Caleb, mindless puppet of power that he is, will go with the house vote.
  • Nicole tried fruitlessly to campaign. She doesn't want to say anything really bad about Donny, but feels she's being railroaded.
  • She is.
  • Frankie seems to want to keep Donny in the house longer than Derrick does.
  • But I imagine both Frankie and Donny will go within a week or two of each other.
  • Caleb, er, Beast Mode Cowboy, thinks he will be approached in airports and Wal-Mart for autographs.
  • @@
  • Remember, he also thought he'd get a tux for the red carpet on the finale night.
  • @@
  • Nicole started packing up her stuff.
  • They're in a lockdown while tomorrow night's comp is being built in the yard.
  • Derrick consoled Victoria more and told her that she'll be around for weeks to come -- there are bigger targets.
  • When Caleb voiced concerns about Nicole going, Derrick convinced him that had Hayden won HoH, they'd be doing it to them.
  • It's Big Brother, after all.
  • That's how they roll.
  • As I get this posted, it's still looking like a unanimous vote to evict Nicole and she knows it.

Who needs to go next?

You're probably going, Nicole.

Zankie does Jenga

Yeah, I'm a big shot NOW!

Zach pleads for a Nicole save

The bunny slippers need to go

Big Brother 16: Power of Veto Show Blog Party - August 13

Big Brother summer on Make A Gif

Good evening! Are you ready for some PoV? As tonight's show airs here on the East Coast, I'll update this entry with the major happenings. Refresh the page to get the latest news!

As always, the real party is in the comments area. Come join in on the fun!

The fallout from the double eviction, HoH and BOB comps continue and Frankie feels he can save himself with his "big secret."

Frankie exaggerates his YouTube following and tells of his "superstar" sister (whom I had never heard of before the casting of BB). He says the pressure of keeping the secret made him lie. Oh geez. Playing the game for a charity to build a school in Africa.

Veto players - Christine draws Derrick, Zach draws Caleb, Donny draws Nicole. Victoria hosts in a luau outfit. The comp is the Otev one with a Hawaiian theme. Otev the Pissed Off Penguin is sweating and wants a drink. They have to retrieve the right drink and present it to him. One less rock to kneel on each round.

Donny out first. Then Nicole out. Christine out. Derrick out.

ZACH wins the power of veto!

Uh-oh. Zach tells Victoria about the alliance he's in with her best friend Derrick. Zach lies to Derrick and tells him Nicole told Victoria about the alliance.

Derrick and Donny decide that with Donny on the block, their mission cannot be completed.

Derrick decides that Nicole needs to be put on the block when Zach comes down. Caleb makes it sound like Nicole is the biggest liar in the house, telling them she's working with Christine. They also hand out a veiled threat that if she doesn't put Nicole up, she's out next week.

Veto meeting time. Zach saves himself. Christine nominates Nicole in his place, taking the knife out of her back and returning it to its owner. (Her speech, not mine!)

Big Brother 16: Live Feeds into Tuesday evening - August 12

I spend 6-7 hours awake alone

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of the Solitary Man:
  • I know this is getting posted late and I haven't posted since early this morning.
  • I call boredom.
  • I wish I could call shenanigans, but that's not the case.
  • BB woke them up around 9:30am their time. Most stayed up for less than an hour, then headed back to bed.
  • Donny stayed up and did his usual morning exercise routine.
  • Later on, when he was joined by Nicole, he told her every day he spends about seven hours awake while the rest of the house sleeps.
  • I'd go bonkers doing that without a good book, music, television, movies, the internet ... something to do other than think of the predicament I'm in!
  • Most of the others didn't come out of bed until afternoon.
  • Caleb was his earliest companion (so to speak), but went back to bed later and didn't re-emerge until around 5pm.
  • Nicole and Donny had a long talk while most of the others slept.
  • She's pretty sure she's going home this week.
  • Well, to jury.
  • She says the positive part of it will be that she'll be with people she likes -- Jocasta and Hayden. She hates trying to be nice to people she really doesn't like at all.
  • They mused about Christine hanging all over Cody and how sickening it is for a married woman to behave like that.
  • Donny told her that the "Four Horsemen" of this season are Derrick, Cody, Christine and Frankie. He thinks they use Caleb as a target.
  • Heck, they use Zach, too!
  • Donny mentioned that Caleb's so dumb (how dumb is he?) that he doesn't even know how to throw a comp! You have to sabotage the comp, not just sit it out!
  • Christine got her HoH camera. She and Cody took photos, then asked Donny to take some photos of them.
  • @@
  • Donny claimed that Frankie has lived in the HoH room every week except when he (Donny) was HoH. Nicole pointed out he only slept once in her HoH room.
  • But, other than that ...
  • Both Donny and Nicole think that Zach has a likable sensitive side.
  • But neither trusts him.
  • As it should be.
  • I honestly think Zach doesn't trust himself.
  • As it should be.
  • Donny thinks Cody has been manipulated.
  • You don't say!
  • Nicole said she only trusted Cody because Hayden told her to trust him. Then Cody ran and told Christine everything she said.
  • She stopped trusting Cody.
  • BB gave them a badminton set without a net and a Jenga game.
  • They all had fun with the badminton.
  • For a while, they seemed to forget they're but hamsters in a Habitrail.
  • Christine has this thing for Dan Gheesling. He better run. And, she just better not EVER think she's in the same BB league as he is!
  • Victoria and Cody both want Donny out next week.
  • They don't know for sure why it's Nicole targeted instead of Donny this week.
  • We know why.
  • Nicole campaigned for herself and even a bit for Donny to stay as long as possible if she leaves this week.
  • Christine said she can't stand Donny.
  • Well, Christine, I don't speak for the entire world, but I haven't seen not one real "fan" of yours here on the blog or out and about on the internet.
  • Donny has many. No, he's not going to win it all. But he's already a winner in many ways.
  • The three Team America members actually were able to talk for a bit. They're hoping their next mission will be more along the lines of the first one. The last few Mission Impossibles have been ones which could jeopardize their own games.
  • Christine is trying to talk Derrick et al into voting out Donny and keeping Nicole.
  • I don't think it will happen.
  •

I walk the yard alone

I sit alone

And now they want me to take pictures

I do have one friend, but not for long

Big Brother 16: Live Feeds into Tuesday - August 12

Who will I send home next?

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Misery:
  • Nicole is frustrated and crying a lot. She says she's played a clean game.
  • She has.
  • But that doesn't cut it in the habitrail.
  • Nicole told Victoria that Frankie thinks he has her in his pocket because he knew she's infatuated with his sister. Nicole thinks Frankie did the big reveal just to get Victoria.
  • No, I don't think so.
  • I think Frankie did it because he was falling out of favor and he thought it would make him the star and focus once again.
  • Victoria is worried because Christine is getting closer with Derrick.
  • Ew.
  • Donny said that if he won HoH, he probably wouldn't put Derrick on the block because everyone likes him. (They'd be mad at Donny and wouldn't vote out Derrick.)
  • Cody really wants Donny out. Maybe not this week as he'll go with the house on the Nicole plan. But next?
  • A girl called over the fence that she loves Zach.
  • Christine thinks that's disgusting -- but then she said some people liked Evel Dick, too.
  • Um.
  • I would have found it disgusting if someone had called her name.
  • Derrick told Cody he plans to get Donny out next, then Victoria.
  • I beg to differ!
  • He probably said that so that Cody will think it's his own idea to go after Frankie or Zach and Derrick's hands will remain squeaky clean.
  • Nicole is still the target this week ...

More bearable without Amber, but still ...

Lies! Lies!

Still bye-bye is planned

Big Brother 16: Live Feeds Monday/Power of Veto Meeting - August 11

A thrill a minute

Sigh. Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Boy's Toys:
  • Yep, that seems what the women are in the house this year -- toys to be played with by the boys then discarded.
  • As expected from last night, Christine put Nicole on the block when Zach saved himself with the veto.
  • Now, to defend her actions a bit after she promised Nicole she wouldn't put her up, Caleb told her that if she didn't nominate Nicole, she (Christine) would be out next week.
  • Ah, the toys of boys!
  • The plan is to evict Nicole unanimously.
  • Donny and Frankie want to keep Donny this week for the next mission.
  • In haphazard two team member talks because they couldn't all get together, they decided this week is Mission Impossible.
  • There's no way they can all three convince someone to go on the block as a volunteer when Donny is already on the block. It would cast suspicion on all of them and it would be an outright ridiculous request from Donny.
  • Both Derrick and Frankie have told Donny he's safe with Nicole on the block.
  • Nicole, of course, was hurt by the decision. She told Christine she only said she'd backdoor her when she was pressured by the others.
  • Christine was also pressured (although I still think she's a snake in the grass) to put Nicole up.
  • Toys, toys.
  • It also irked me that once again, while talking to Nicole, Christine played with her toes, then bit her nails without washing her hands.
  • Man, she skeeves me out.
  • She also kept giggling while poor Nicole was crying. I think it was a nervous giggle, but that didn't keep it from annoying me.
  • Derrick admitted to Victoria that he's the one who planted the seed with Frankie and Caleb that Christine needs to put up Nicole.
  • Hmm. As time goes on, I'm wondering if a Victoria/Derrick final two is his real plan over the Hitmen (Derrick/Cody).
  • Derrick almost never confides things like that to anyone, except perhaps Cody.
  • Curiouser and curiouser.
  • He's also been speaking up to the guys that Victoria is "one of them" now.
  • Hmm.
  • Nicole warned Victoria that it's Donny, then her (Victoria) next.
  • I don't think so. I hear the rumble of Donny, Zach, Frankie and Christine before Victoria even hits the map. Perhaps Caleb in there before her, too.
  • I guess we'll see ...

This is not your bed, Frankie!

Donny and Derrick talk Team America

At least she can smile amidst tears

Christine plays with her toes again

Big Brother 16: Live Feeds Sunday into Monday - August 11

Victoria does her hair

Yesterday in the BB house, it was SO boring! Well, at least until the three -- Christine, Frankie and Caleb -- returned from their outing. Here's what's gone down inside that Big Brother House of Deja Vu All Over Again:
  • Donny had been asleep through all of the brouhahas.
  • That's good, but it's not good. He feels like an outsider, but brings some of it on himself by not being there when things happen.
  • Donny is worried -- when he's been on the block before, people kept telling him he would be safe. No one is saying that this week.
  • Derrick told Cody he's worried that Nicole is up to something.
  • They had the Sunday Photo Funday with the photo booth. 4, 3, 2, ONE.
  • Derrick thinks that Donny is a manipulator (pot, kettle, black!), but Nicole is a pathological liar.
  • Say what?
  • It's clear that now he has changed his mind again -- now he wants Nicole out over Donny.
  • ... even though she's not on the block and Christine has told her (and others) that she promised not to put her on the block.
  • But we all know Derrick by now. He'll finagle a way to get her on the block if that's his will.
  • Donny and Derrick talked about this week's Team America mission being hard and failing it. They both said they need the money and it's obvious Frankie doesn't.
  • Derrick was worried that Frankie was going to expose them when he made his big "announcement" the other day. He apparently requested all the cameras be in position.
  • Oh, yeah. The spotlight has to be on Frankie.
  • When asked, Donny told Derrick that he thinks he (Donny) was chosen because of his accent.
  • I think it's not just the accent, but the whole country persona.
  • Then the NFL thingee outing bunch returned to the house.
  • Zankie is reunited as if they never parted ways.
  • @@
  • As I'm SO not a football fan, all of their talk was lost on me. I don't know the players or anything.
  • Caleb said people were shouting "Beast Mode Cowboy."
  • Sigh.
  • Zach has caught the Get Nicole Out bug and passed it on to Frankie.
  • They decided that she is such a big liar!
  • When she's not. Nicole has been honest about all of the others lying! Poor girl!
  • Caleb got a rest from slop on the outing, eating hot dogs and hamburgers.
  • Christine said that Frankie thinks he's a celebrity, so he acted like one shmoozing all during their outing.
  • @@
  • Frankie had a big talk with Nicole alone ... against her wishes. She doesn't want to talk to him at all!
  • Christine told Victoria that she's probably going to put her (Victoria) on the block, but she's 100% safe.
  • Then it happened.
  • Derrick's wishes went into effect.
  • Caleb told Christine that Nicole talked about backdooring her.
  • Cody said the same thing.
  • They "opened Christine's eyes" to all the evil that is Nicole.
  • Now the plan is that Christine will replace Zach with Nicole on the block.
  • Then Nicole will go home with a unanimous vote.
  • At this point, it's obvious that neither Nicole nor Donny have any chance to win the game with the machine working against them.
  • So, either going to jury might be a load off their shoulders.
  • They can finally relax.
  • Sigh.

Sleeping with Raid at hand

Cool shades, Donny!

They knew Beast Mode Cowboy!

Big Brother 16: End of HOH, Nominations, BOB etc. Show Blog Party - August 10

Big Brother summer on Make A Gif

I have no clue when tonight's show will start. Golf just might go on forever. But I'll put this party post up on time in the hopes that it will end sooner rather than later. Once it finally gets underway here in the NYC viewing area, I'll update this entry with the major happenings. Refresh the page to get the latest news.

The real party takes place in the comments area -- come join in on the fun! I'll take down the word verification once the show actually starts!

The show will start at 10pm EDT. I'll return at that time. (Grr.)

Finally, it's starting. It's Recap City so far.

Nicole and Zach clash. Donny consoles Nicole. Caleb says the majority of everything you hear is a lie. Nicole calls out Frankie and Christine while Zach taunts her. As I said in the feeds reports, it's shocking that Caleb ends up being the voice of reason -- he says that not everything Nicole is saying is a lie.

HoH comp -- BB Tourneyement. Giant eye chart clues, then make a choice.
Nicole moves on. Cody eliminated.
Victoria moves on. Derrick eliminated.
Christine moves on. Donny eliminated.
Zach moves on. Frankie eliminated.

Round 2
Nicole first HoH!
Christine is the second HoH.

Frankie offers to flip for Nicole. She's sure he's not trustworthy. Zach spills his guts about EVERYTHING that's been going on to her. Zach told Caleb that Nicole said she wants to put up Caleb, Cody, Derrick because Frankie advised her to do it.

Frankie's lies get exposed to the whole house. Caleb offers to go on the block, throw the BOB and they vote Frankie out.

Christine nominates Donny and Zach.
Nicole nominates Caleb, saying he won't be going anywhere. And Frankie because of his lies.

Zach declares Christine and Frankie liars.

BOB time! Derrick hosts as a sportscaster in a suit. It's a football theme promoting Thursday night football on CBS. @@

It's a bit like a huge foosball table game. Winning team gets a trip to a pre-season NFL event with a tailgate party.

Frankie realizes that Caleb is going to throw the comp. After confronting him about all the lies, Caleb sits down and tells Frankie to play the game by himself. Once Frankie got the hang of the game, he pulled ahead. Zach tries by himself and screws up.

Frankie wins and goes into hysterics. He shouts out to Mommy and Ariana. Nicole is no longer a HoH.

Frankie tells us his only thought to save himself for future weeks is to reveal he's Ariana Grande's brother. @@

Before this season, I didn't even have a clue who she was.

Big Brother 16: Live Feeds into Sunday with a brouhaha! - August 10

Zach's mouth starts it all

Yep, it was another entertaining night on the live feeds! About time, I say! Of course, in real life I don't like drama, kerfuffles and brouhahas (at least not if I'm involved!). But this is Big Brother. I want entertainment. Watching a bunch of guys playing pool or chess is NOT entertainment. Here's the skinny on the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Lies and Betrayals:
  • They had gotten over the Frankie thing although he's likely to be targeted once they get down to their inner circle.
  • This latest is pretty much all on Zach and his mouth.
  • He has told Nicole and others everything that has happened so far, as we know.
  • Well, when he told Victoria, he told her that Derrick was in an alliance with Christine.
  • She freaked as Derrick is the only person in the house she trusted.
  • Victoria went to Nicole crying and Nicole tried to comfort her.
  • Zach went to Derrick, told him that Victoria was freaking out and he told Derrick that NICOLE told Victoria that he (Derrick) has an alliance with Christine.
  • It went from a drama-laden kerfuffle to a full-blown BROUHAHA!
  • Again, no fisticuffs.
  • No thrown chairs, either.
  • Sigh.
  • Derrick talked to both Victoria and Nicole separately and then together. Nicole said she didn't tell Victoria it and Victoria said it was Zach.
  • So Derrick called in Zach.
  • Zach admitted that he lied about Nicole telling Victoria about the Christine alliance.
  • He got all defensive and started shouting once again that he's disgusting, a liar, they need to vote him out next week.
  • Derrick once again did the amazing Derrick people skillz on 'em all, making each one of them thinking they have value in the game and, after all, it's just a game.
  • Then Frankie got involved.
  • And then ... a new BROUHAHA (well, rehashed one from last night) with Frankie and Zach.
  • Again, Derrick did his thing and smoothed all the rough edges.
  • Dang. I think I want Derrick on my city's police department. His interrogation skills are truly outstanding and special. In one of my past careers, I was trained for investigations and interrogations and he's doing so much of what I learned in my courses. He does it better than I ever did. Super kudos to him!
  • In other news, Christine seems reluctant to put Nicole on the block when Zach uses the veto.
  • Yeah, though he says he wants to go home, he'd be a fool not to save himself with the veto he won in Otev.
  • I'm thinking she'll probably put either Victoria or Nicole on the block with Donny. She still wants Frankie out, but he and Caleb are safe because of wining the BOB.
  • Alas, I think we'll see my guilty pleasure joy Donny leave this week.
  • If so, may Derrick win it all.
  • He deserves the win. Hands down, one of the best gamers ever in the house in the history of the show.
  • I only wish he had teamed up with Nicole, Hayden and Donny instead of Caleb, Frankie and Christine. But, it's worked for him so far.

Derrick calls a meeting of the mindless

Send me home! Just send me home!

Before the brouhaha

Frankie rearranges his face

Caleb tells Frankie that Zach is saying stuff

Off Topic: That Was the Week It Was - August 10, 2014

Happy Sunday morning to y'all! Just a word of warning -- this post is my weekly off television topic photo post reflecting on the week gone by in both words and photos I've taken along the way. If you're looking for my Big Brother live feeds content, those posts can be found at this link right here. You've been warned. Feel free to skip this post if you wish!

We continue to have a not horrible but a bit rainy summer here. While I hear some people whine that it's not hot enough, you won't hear any complaints from me! I don't like heat and humidity. I love night time temperatures in the 50s. The last thing I ever would want to do is lay in the hot sun sweating while I burn to a crisp. While we've had some warmer days in the 90s, it pales compared to many summer in the past. Good.

This week's random musings:
  • If you have a July monthly NJ Transit train pass, don't expect the conductor to take it in August just because you haven't had a payday yet. (No, not me. I always have mine by the 1st.)
  • If you're a substitute driver on the NJ Transit bus from Dunellen to Newark, please know your route and don't depend on passengers (me) to tell you that you missed a major turn.
  • I wish the sunflowers that I pass by were growing closer to where I have access without going up on lawns.
  • I have yet another new neighbor(s?) upstairs. My good upstairs neighbor of the last year plus a few months got the boot after his girlfriend left and he either didn't want to pay the rent or couldn't do it on his own. Other than moving in at nearly midnight one night this past week, he/she/they walk quietly on the hardwood floors and I just hear some not unexpected movement around the apartment noises. So far, so good.
  • I'm expecting a Peapod grocery delivery today and the elevator door stuck when I went down to get my newspaper. Eek! I fixed it myself with some WD-40. Yay, me! I don't want the delivery guy/gal to have to lug all my heavy stuff up the stairs.
Onto this week's photos! With the slideshows (groundhog here, flowers after the jump), clicking on the diagonal arrows on the bottom right of the window will make them full-screen. With the photos, clicking on them will bring you to my Photobucket where you can make them larger twice by clicking on the magnifying glass on the bottom right. Just X out to return to the blog. Have a great Sunday!

I had a bit of a treat yesterday morning, as did a certain Plainfield Train Station groundhog. Now, I've seen this groundhog at the station before. But he usually scurries away and hides. It turns out that some of the Latino guys who hang out at the station have been feeding him bread and hard rolls daily. I happened upon one throwing down chunks of hard roll for him and we sat back to watch him come out. Very cool.

Flowers grow on Westervelt Ave.

One of the business on the corner of East Front Street and Westervelt Avenue in Plainfield has a gorgeous display of flowers growing this year. The sunflower caught my attention. One of these mornings on my walk to the train, I'll have to cross the street for some close-ups! Kudos to them for beautifying a rather otherwise boring corner!

Big Brother 16: Live Feeds Saturday with POV update - August 9

BULLETIN - The Power of Veto comp ended. It was the Otev comp. ZACH won the Power of Veto.

Mouth shut. Good.

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Insecurities and Paranoia:
  • Derrick told Frankie now he realizes how he (Frankie) got chosen for Team America. He thinks Don must have a sob story which resonated with viewers.
  • Nope. No sob story about Donny. He's a good guy who seems quite content with his lot in life. If only we could all be that content and have such great family support.
  • Derrick and Frankie have each other's back as Team America members. Frankie is sure that Donny would never target them and, thus, he doesn't think they should vote out Donny.
  • Unfortunately (because I like both Derrick and Donny), Derrick thinks because Donny told them that one time that he was there for Donny Thompson first, then Team America, that Donny would have no problem either targeting them or voting them out.
  • Oh, come on! Derrick is there for Derrick first. Frankie is there for Frankie first. Anyone not in the house with the intent to win it for themselves doesn't belong there!
  • <.rant over>
  • The veto players besides Christine, Donny and Zach are: Caleb, Derrick and Nicole. Victoria will host.
  • Derrick already asked Caleb to throw the comp.
  • Yeah, that worked out so well with the BOB and Frankie, huh?
  • Frankie thinks America must hate Nicole and Zach for trying to get him out.
  • Um. No. I can't speak for ALL of America, just my part in America. I want you out, too. So there, Mr. Grande.
  • Derrick thinks that Zach is acting like a three-year old about the Frankie revelation.
  • He is. But has Zach ever acted mature? No? I didn't think so.
  • Later Derrick told Frankie he thinks Zach is so upset because he had a plan for the whole time in the house and Frankie destroyed it all, now Zach is lost.
  • Frankie didn't miss any opportunity he could to mention his fan base. To me, that makes him all that more obnoxious.
  • Derrick isn't helping the Frankie/Zach rift by telling Frankie that Zach volunteered to go on the block to make sure Frankie went home.
  • Derrick was surprised that popular YouTubers have agents and such.
  • On a side note: I saw a recent segment on one of the news shows about REAL successful YouTubers (not small time like Frankie) -- earning a half-million and more per year. To be honest, I haven't heard of any of them, either.
  • On a bit of a more serious (yet still Frankie-serving) note, Frankie told Derrick he was here to win the game and make a name for himself. He said he loves his sister, but she's always been "the sun and I've been Pluto." Since Pluto was demoted, heck ... Frankie isn't even a planet!
  • Christine picked the Have Nots -- Donny and Zach. (What a shock and a surprise!)
  • The food I voted for -- peanut butter and jelly fish -- are the additional items. They're happy about the peanut butter, the jelly fish not so much.
  • Zach told Donny he feels like everyone is against him.
  • Oh, like Donny doesn't know that feeling ... SINCE DAY ONE!
  • Zach and Nicole are getting as bad as the show's fans with the conspiracy theories. They think it was "like staged that that comp could be completed by one person." Probably a lot of the "team" comps could be done by one, but no one has ever just sat down and not participated (Caleb) before.
  • Nicole cried. She really misses Hayden. She doesn't like anyone in the house (well, maybe Donny, but she can't always seem to relate to him) and she's sure she's going home soon.
  • Well, to jury.
  • Donny and Zach, now both on the outside looking in, had some very sad conversations. At one point, Donny told Zach he's been alone the whole time, watching the others playing pool, never being invited in on conversations and it will all be over soon. He seemed to be on the verge of crying as he said it.
  • :(
  • It went from Donny trying to cheer Zach up to Zach trying to cheer Donny. I kind of like that Zach. I'm not too keen on the Zach we've seen for most of the season except for entertainment value.
  • Victoria told Nicole that anyone who trusts Frankie now has to be an idiot.
  • You go, girl!
  • Victoria also told Nicole that Derrick is trustworthy and she thinks she'll (Victoria) fall apart emotionally if he goes.
  • I really can't call him all that trustworthy, but I do think Derrick does care for people and hates to see anyone (especially the women) upset.
  • Victoria also thinks Derrick doesn't manipulate people.
  • BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
  • Donny and Zach continued to bond.
  • I think that's good for the young grasshopper.
  • Donny told Zach money doesn't make you happy, family does.
  • Zach claimed he wants to live at home with his parents for as long as possible.
  • Oh my. His parents might object to that one. I mean, love is more bearable with an adult child if they live nearby, not necessarily IN the home ... I think! Especially a Zachish child!
  • Derrick thinks everything Nicole/Hayden told him last week were lies. Cody tried to convince him otherwise.
  • Cody is right.
  • Heh. The BB voice has a new message for when they break things in the house: "This is the reason we can't have nice things."
  • Here I thought it's because they got a deal at the the dollar store on stuff!
  • I've been trying to wait out the in progress veto comp, but I've run out of stuff to say.
  • As long as the comp ends at a human hour, I'll put up a quick announcement of the winner. If it's real late, I'll post early in the morning (East Coast time).
  • I have my fingers crossed for a Donny win although now I feel sad that he's actually sad in the house.

Who could this be?

Is it BB or a beauty pageant?

Big Brother 16: Live Feeds Friday night into Saturday - August 9

All dressed up and nowhere to go

No, Derrick didn't go anywhere. He apparently hosted the BOB comp and got a free suit out of the deal. For a moment I was thinking this would be the future wardrobe for the well-dressed hamster.

If you missed my previous report, we had the first real full-blown brouhaha (sans fisticuffs) of the season. Caleb didn't "throw" the BOB; he literally sat out and refused to play. So, Frankie won it all by himself with Zach and Donny playing on the other side. But ... pre-BOB Frankie realized his goose was cooked in the house. I don't care if he's vegan. His goose was definitely cooked.

What to do? What to do? Time to pull out the "I'm a YouTube star. My sister is a pop star. I'm playing the game to build schools in Africa!" Card! Yep! He claims that the pressure of keeping those secrets in addition to his grandfather's death caused him to suffer some sort of breakdown and lie to everyone about everyone in the house.

Thankfully, some in the house were like me. "Who the hell is Ariana Grande? I never heard of her." Nor had they seen him on YouTube with his over a million followers. But others were smitten right away. Zach freaked. Lots of yelling and the kerfuffle turned into a small brouhaha.

Here's the skinny on what's been going down in that Big Brother House of A Pseudo-Celeb:
  • At first Caleb became smitten. Why, he might meet Justin Bieber! Woot! Forget Amber, let me stalk Frankie!
  • Victoria is in LOVE with Ariana Grande! She's her FAVORITE!
  • Nicole is agog with the idea of being close to a REAL celebrity!
  • Donny was congratulatory about it. (But also has no idea who Ariana Grande is.)
  • Derrick has heard of her, but claims you never know who the people inside the house are outside the house. And, it shouldn't matter.
  • Yep, Sarge ... you got that right!
  • Cody has no clue who Ariana Grande is.
  • Christine is all giggly over it. I hate her laughs. They make my skin crawl.
  • Caleb is crushed that he's not the big celebrity of the season.
  • @@
  • All feel it's unfair as the America's Player favorite prize is certain to go to Frankie with his followers.
  • Zach is super-crushed and subdued. He won't even talk to Frankie, not to even think of a hug. (Everyone else hugged him due to his soul searching confession.)
  • Zach sat for nearly an hour with Derrick (and sometimes others passing through) saying, "I have no chance. I'm playing against someone building schools in Africa. None of us have a chance."
  • Oh. I forgot to mention -- apparently Christine, Frankie and Caleb won some sort of outing to a pre-season football game thingee. They're excited. I'm not.
  • Derrick continued to use his skillz throughout the house, pep-talking some, being Mr. Super Understanding, reminding each person that their own reasons for being in the house are important.
  • They're really in a quandary now.
  • They think if the veto is used, it will most likely be Victoria or Nicole on the block with either Zach or Donny.
  • From the grumblings I'm hearing, it's quite possible if Zach remains on the block, he just might be the next jury member.
  • Thankfully, as the night went on, most seemed to refocus on getting Frankie out. They obviously can't do it this week.
  • But there's always next week.

Can I meet Justin Bieber? Can I? Can I?

I need an alliance, please.

OMG! OMG! Ariana Grande!?!?!

Big Brother 16: Live Feeds BOB Results - Friday, August 8

Frankie literally won the BOB single-handed as Caleb threw it. Donny and Zach remain on the block. Lots of screaming going on.

Frankie tells the others who he is (world famous YouTuber, famous sister, et al). Um, he's using this as a reason he became paranoid and turned.
