Big Brother 17: Live Feeds into Wednesday Evening - September 9

The twins pack

Oh, I'm so ready for tomorrow night to get this thing moving along! Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of One Twin to Go:
  • Although they spent some time in the yard, it was shut down rather early to prep for tomorrow's HoH comp.
  • Of course, if they got up at a decent time in the morning, they could have enjoyed the amenities longer.
  • Even though they're going to bed earlier these days, they still sleep about 18 hours a day like cats.
  • The twins brought way too much stuff into the house! To give them credit, with the exception of the Loyola shirts, they don't wear the same things all the time. There has to be over a dozen bathing suits between them.
  • Maybe two dozen.
  • They both packed up everything and Julia vowed to make Meg give her back her little Zingbot robot.
  • Austin claims that he saw her take it, but didn't realize what she was doing at the time.
  • I didn't see her do it. I don't think the evidence would hold up in a court of law.
  • The twins talked for some time about Vanessa and how she's been playing them all.
  • Well, duh.
  • It now seems like they've decided Julia (once again) would be the twin voted out.
  • We'll see how Vanessa and Johnny Mac go along with that ... or not.
  • Julia is thinking of blowing up Vanessa's game to Johnny Mac as she goes out the door.
  • Hmm.
  • I know Steve and Johnny Mac have talked about Vanessa. But it's hard to read Johnny Mac and how much he may or may not realize Vanessa is everybody's final two deal.
  • Julia became the reincarnation of Audrey, draping herself in sunglasses and the grey blanket.
  • However, she did it jokingly, not quite as bizarre as the original.
  • The kitchen ants have had enough of this group of hamsters. They marched into the freezer and committed mass suicide.
  • That's about it for now.

Johnny Mac awaits the yard closing

Jus' hangin' out

They're onto her, yet she remains

Julia calls up her inner Audrey

Big Brother 17: Power of Veto Show Blog Party - September 9

Big Brother 11 Blog Logo photo BB-09-smJackieMA28497852-0002.gif

Good evening! Ready for a blog party?

As the show airs here on the East Coast, I'll update this entry with the major happenings. Refresh the page to get the latest. As always, the real party is in the comments area. I hope to see you there!

Aw, Liz cries and cries. Life just isn't fair. Steve promises us we'll see him change into an aggressive player. Liz cries some more.

lIz and Austin think if they throw the veto to Julia, all three will survive.

Time for the veto comp! Excitement abounds! They're in tutus, Bowlarina comp as we've seen before. Sigh. Jesse Godderz (Mr. Pectacular) -- gag -- is there in a tutu. Jesse is himself in a pink tutu. They spin around 15 times to get 15 seconds of bowling time.

Liz, Julia, John, Vanessa, Steve and Austin is the order of the players Jesse picks.

Liz challenges Steve. Liz wins.
Heh. Vanessa whispers for Julia to pick Austin and SHE DOES!
Austin wins and Julia is out. There goes safety for three!
Johnny Mac challenges Liz. Liz is out.
Vanessa chooses Austin. Vanessa is out.
It's Johnny Mac against Austin. Austin wins, shouting stupid things about Judas being there and Austin is gone. He's acting whacko, probably to impress Jesse.

Austin tells us he's going to find out who set him up. Liz asks Julia why she chose Austin in the second round. Austin is sure everybody is trying to take him out. They are ... well, not the twins, but everybody else. Vanessa has to do damage control. Vanessa tries to convince the twins that Austin wants to break them up. Vanessa cries.

Austin just can't take off that PoV necklace, even as he goes to talk to Liz. He denies he wants one of the twins out. But, he says he had to play ball. Liz cries that she's over it and if it's her time to go, she will. More tears.

Will Austin ever stop wearing that necklace? Then he argues with Vanessa. Liz an Julia "hate" him. Vanessa spins it to him that had Julia won, she would be up against him. He claims he loves Liz but he has to play to win. It's much later and he's still wearing the necklace as he tells Liz he loves her. She's cynical.

"I ruined my life for you! I left a girl at home for you!" he cries. Heh.

Julia asked him if he was going to wear the veto all day. He said, "Yes." She throws all his stuff into the corner and says how ugly he is while Liz watches and agrees.

Oh geez ... they kiss and make up. Yes, feel free to throw up a little in your mouth. It's understandable.

Time for the veto meeting. His heart tells him to save Liz, but his head tells him to save himself. Austin saves himself. Steve puts Julia up on the block. Julia cries. One of them will go home. Of course, they never should have been allowed to play together in the house. They had plenty of warning to stop that before it got in motion weeks ago.

Big Brother 17: Live Feeds into Wednesday - September 9

No, he didn't carry her over the threshold

Yep, I'm still here! I just got caught up between life, work, live feeds and catching Stephen Colbert's debut. The live feeds lost out a bit because they've been in the BB Doldrums for the past few days. But I'm caught up now and here ya go -- the latest from inside that Big Brother House of People Not Welcome at My Dinner Table:
  • Steve got his HoH camera yesterday.
  • Unlike some other seasons in which there's a lot of animosity at this point, they all had fun with the camera.
  • Even though Austin was in a Grumpy Cat mood and didn't want to don his tutu, that is.
  • The biggest news of the day is that the twins finally realized that Vanessa has a final two deal with everyone in the house.
  • Well, duh.
  • It took them long enough to figure that out!
  • Julia thinks Vanessa will throw the HoH comp because she's good with everyone.
  • Well, yeah. Duh. Johnny Mac is on the slate to win that one.
  • Can't get any blood on her hands!
  • Vanessa continued to make her rounds and talk how much she's hated by the jury.
  • She really wants to get herself in the position in which someone will choose to take her to the final two because she says she won't win.
  • Vanessa got Johnny Mac to agree to make Steve a renom and tell him no promises were made if he gets HoH. That's assuming he nominates Austin and Remaining Twin and one takes him or herself off.
  • Of course, Steve and Johnny Mac have their own final two deal.
  • This begs the question: If you have six people in the house and each person has several final two deals, how many final two deals are possible? It's kind of like the math question about two trains heading at each other at different speeds, when will they collide?
  • It keeps going between Liz and Julia which one will stay this week.
  • Liz and Austin want to blow up Vanessa's final two deals to Johnny Mac.
  • They think JM in the finals with them would be less risky than Steve.
  • Vanessa continued to tell Johnny Mac and Steve they would be the final three.
  • Oh. And Austin would be in the final two with her.
  • Now, how's that gonna happen?
  • Mind you, she didn't tell her boyz that. I said it.
  • The latest seems to indicate Liz will be the one to stay this week.
  • Steve is getting frustrated that Austin has been talking a lot to both Vanessa and Johnny Mac (separately). He fears he will be targeted.
  • Remember, his initial target this week was Austin until that fell through with the veto win.
  • As an observer, it's easy to see what Vanessa and Austin are doing. Steve tells us his thoughts when he can. The twins just don't really know the game and will go the angry/emotional route rather than any sort of strategy.
  • Then there's Johnny Mac. I think he sees through Vanessa. I think he's more loyal to Steve.
  • But, who knows?
  • Oh ... and they finally got their last take-out dinner, a Chinese food delivery.

Taking a skyway shot

Having tutu much fun

Austin was Grumpy Cat

What? She has final two deals with all?!?!

Steve hangs out with twins

Big Brother 17: Live Feeds into Tuesday - September 8

Austwins and he who nominated them

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Maybe the Ants Should Win:
  • I really don't have much for you. I just didn't want you to worry if I didn't post an update.
  • Hmm ... let's see.
  • They played chess.
  • They played pool.
  • They ate.
  • Vanessa made her usual rounds, being both the listener and the instigator.
  • Austin and Liz sucked face.
  • Ew.
  • Vanessa and Austwins had a discussion about how Steve should have thrown that last HOH to John.
  • Heh. Vanessa knew the plan to throw it to Steve so John can compete in the next one which is most likely physical.
  • Austin thinks if Johnny Mac gets HoH, he will put him (Austin) and Steve on the block.
  • Well, he's half right.
  • They all think that Vanessa is playing all sides.
  • Yet they all keep going along with it and actually listen to her advice.
  • That's all for now. We have another two days of this ahead of us.

No swimming! Shark warning!

One twin gone soon

Big Brother 17: Live Feeds Monday into the Evening - September 7

Bein' a goof

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Move Along, Nothing to See Here:
  • See the renom was already known before the PoV ceremony, the twin tears subsided for most of the day, just a few intermittent bouts. That is, after an extended bout of crying as they (the twins themselves) decided who should go home. Like it's their decision, y'know.
  • Austin, who fancies himself as an aspiring comedian, actually made me smile at one point today.
  • Yep, you heard me.
  • He was cooking and told the the twins there were ants all over the spoon-uhhh.
  • Of course, that humor would only fly in the BB17 environment.
  • Today was a whole lotta nuthin' going on -- excercise, pool playing, lounging about, talking about how hot it is ... and such.
  • I wonder why they didn't get a grill this year. No tie-dyed shirts, no dollar store toys. Hmm.
  • Steve told us he trusts Johnny Mac more than he trusts Vanessa.
  • Well, that's smart.
  • The BB voice actually told Austin (over the PA system) that he didn't wash his hands after using the bathroom.
  • Heh.
  • Of course, I saw one of the twins biting her nails as she prepared food.
  • BB gave them alcohol. They either hope to pep them up or poop them out, I guess.
  • Get braced for this one ... Johnny Mac is planning on returning to school to get his orthodontist certification.
  • Braced, orthodontist ... get it?
  • Okay, I'm bored.
  • Vanessa told Steve she would put up Austin and Julia if she wins HoH.
  • That tells me two things -- they will keep Julia this week and Vanessa has no plans to win HoH.
  • That's it for now.

You can't hide

Lovin' a teddy

We're on the block-uhh

Claws. I tell ya. She's got claws.

Big Brother 17: Live Feeds Bulletin - PoV Meeting - September 7

As expected, Austin saved himself and Steve put up Julia as the renom. So, it's both twins on the block. If Vanessa and Johnny Mac are smart, they'll send Liz (the more athletic of the two) packing. We'll see.

Big Brother 17: Live Feeds into Monday - September 7

Needs to win HoH this week

Happy Labor Day, folks! Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Workin' It:
  • No brouhahas, no kerfuffles.
  • Vanessa went to bed early.
  • Liz and Austin secluded themselves for a long time leaving Julia to mingle with Steve and Johnny Mac.
  • Julia was surprised when Johnny Mac told her that he was losing money by being in the house.
  • She was thinking the stipend. For years it was $750 a week. I know in the past year or two it has been reported to have gone up to $1,000 a week. That would be gross, not net. That shouldn't be non-attainable for most college grads if they can get a job in the field in which they're qualified by degree. I guess if they're unemployed or underemployed, it's a lot. It's certainly not a fortune for a young dentist with huge college loans.
  • Aw, Julia misses James.
  • Maybe she'll see him in the jury house soon!
  • Liz and Julia each smoked a cigarette. Liz kept saying how dizzy she was afterwards.
  • Huh.
  • What was in that cigarette?
  • The twins think they get to decide which one goes to jury on Thursday.
  • Liz is thinking that Julia might be the better chance to stay.
  • Of course, they're assuming that the others will abide by their choice.
  • Austin told Liz that she should be the one to stay.
  • I guess we'll see what comes around when it comes around.
  • Maybe Steve will name Vanessa the renom.
  • BWAHAHAHAHA!
  • Like that would happen!
  • Vanessa told Austin that she thinks Steve would win if in the final two.
  • They all turned in relatively early for them.
  • Steve told us that he's skeptical of Vanessa, but the Austwins really need to be broken up.
  • It's a numbers thing, y'see.

Thinking of Liz and Austin?

Julia mingles with the boys

Big Brother 17: Live Feeds Sunday into the Evening - September 6

Big wheels keep on turnin'

Sunday isn't necessarily Funday in the BB House. It's more like Nap More Than Usual Day. Nonetheless, here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Exercising Egos:
  • The hate for Austin didn't last long. Liz is back with him.
  • Ew.
  • They deserve each other.
  • Liz is whacked. She complimented the chicken he made for her despite the fact it had ants in it and likes that (he hasn't been out of bed) his fingers smell like garlic.
  • Why would his fingers smell like garlic while in bed nowhere near the kitchen in either time or space?
  • EW.
  • Lots of exercising in the backyard today.
  • Lots of napping.
  • Lots of ants in the kitchen.
  • And, they're out of Raid-uhhhh!
  • Lots of small talk.
  • Lots of yawns.
  • Little game talk going on today. Johnny Mac said he'd vote whichever way the twins want.
  • Keep in mind that, technically, Austin is still on the block with Liz.
  • But everyone knows that Julia will go up in his place.
  • And, it looks like Julia will probably go home although it would be smarter to take out Liz at the point.
  • We'll see.

Ew, back together again

Ants-uuh! It's an infestation-uhhh!

A hamster is indeed a rodent

Big Brother 17: Second HoH Comp (not live), Nominations Show Blog Party - Sept. 6

Big Brother 11 Blog Logo photo BB-09-smJackieMA28497852-0002.gif

Good evening! Ready for a blog party? While many of us already know the results of the PoV comp, tonight's episode will focus on the second HoH comp and nominations not shown (not done at the time) on Thursday. It's kind of like experiencing jet lag!

I'll be updating this entry with the major happenings as it airs here on the East Coast. Refresh the page to get the latest. As always, the real party is in the comments area. I hope to see you there!

Recap, recap. Vanessa is relieved that her only person who she wasn't working with (James) went out in the double eviction. Steve feels the same. Johnny Mac says it's time for a bloodbath. Austin doesn't want to win the upcoming HoH and get "blood on his hands." Vanessa would prefer Steve or Johnny Mac win to get one of the twins out. She promises Austin she "can make it happen." Then she runs to JM to tell him. Then to Steve.

Time to HoH comp! It's a baseball themed game. Liz thinks if Austin, Vanessa or Steve win, she and Julia are safe. (Ha.) Shown trading cards at a rapid speed, make puzzles of the missing player. In each round, last one to solve is eliminated.

Austin tells us he's not throwing the comp -- too risky. Johnny Mac knows he's in trouble if Austwins win.

1st round - Steve, Julia, John, Austin ... Vanessa out.
2nd round - John, Julia, Steve ... Austin out.
3rd round - Steve, John ... Julia out.
4th round - STEVE WINS HOH! (And Julia/Liz think they're safe. Ha.) Johnny Mac tells us he's letting Steve have it because next time will be physical, not Steve's specialty. Vanessa is happy.

While the twins are happy, Austin tells us he knows Steve is a numbers guy and will probably realize the Austwins need to be split up.

Vanessa hints to the twins that Steve is close with John and might put them up. Austin talks to Steve who tells him that he knows he's at the bottom of the Scamper Squad. Austin is willing to give up Julia and promises he and Liz won't target Steve. Steve doesn't trust him, but acts like he does.

Austin tells Liz that Steve may put them (twins) up. Liz wants Julia to talk to Steve. Julia is closer to Steve and never has liked Austin much anyway.

Who wants to see my HoH room? Yawn. He got a teddy bear. The twins suck up and Johnny Mac mocks them to us from the Diary Room.

Vanessa tells Steve that putting the twins up together isn't a good idea if the veto is won. The weakest (Julia) must remain off the block. She tells him that Austin and Liz should be the nominees. Yes, ma'am. Whatever you say. (Although that is solid thinking as long as Vanessa isn't his target.)

Johnny Mac thinks it's best they target Austin. Steve thinks he should warn Austin. Silly naive Steve. He tells Austin he doesn't think he can put the twins up together. He pussyfoots around telling Austin the target and tells him that he doesn't know.

Nominations today. Steve is visibly down. He nominates Austin, then Liz. Making a move best for his game, sorry. Liz runs off crying.

Off Topic: That Was the Week It Was - September 6, 2015

Good morning! Welcome to my weekly off television topic reflection of the past week in both words and photographs I've taken along the way; This post is a year 'round "feature" on the blog. If you're looking for Big Brother posts, they can all be found at this link right here. If you're not interested in this particular post, please feel free to skip on by it. I'll be posting a Big Brother blog party post coinciding with the East Coast airing of the show and, late this evening, another live feeds post. Stay tuned.

Yes! Another week closer to staycation week! I have a short week ahead. I'm only working three days, plus going in for a couple of hours (like two) tomorrow. I so need the rest even though I'll still be covering Big Brother. But I can do that in my pajamas and slippers! My workplace's dress code frowns on such attire there.

A few random observations on the week gone by:
  • No means NO. If you're a bum asking me for money or cigarettes, go away. No means NO. I should only have to say it once. Go away. Shoo. If you're peddling religion and I say NO, I mean NO. Shoo. Leave me alone. Don't act shocked. Don't be surprised. Don't argue with me. Just go away. Yes, I'm starting to get surly with these people. I work for what I have in life and I already have my own thoughts on religion.
  • I'm starting to see a bit of color (other than green) here and there in the trees and bushes. But the temperatures sure have been screaming summer.
  • I met the man who lives upstairs from me this past week. He's lived there over a year now and I've never seen him ... heard him now and then, but never a face-to-face. We met looking out the building's front window at the crime scene (below) Tuesday night. Pleasant enough guy. He'd be a bit thumpy had they not put wall-to-wall carpet down up there, though. I didn't tell him that. Nor did I tell him that I heard him vacuuming at 3:30am this past Christmas morning.
  • Keebler Grasshopper cookies taste a lot like Girl Scouts Thin Mints cookies, but are a heck of a lot cheaper.
Without further ado, onto this week's photos! Clicking on an image will bring up a larger version.

The moon on Monday night

I always love the challenge of taking a good shot at the moon. Monday's moon wasn't quite full, but was like a golden globe large in the sky. And there I was, with a point and shoot camera (a decent one, but ...!) and no tripod. Yay, a challenge! I'm thrilled with the shots I got -- details of craters and all. Of course, I also got a lot of shots which called for the delete button. But that's the beauty of digital photography. It's not like I'm paying to process film which contains yellow-white globs in a sea of black!

Eek. A crime scene at my apartment!

Well, not really AT my apartment. At my apartment building, though. It was Tuesday night. There I was innocently watching the evening Judge Judy block on WLNY when I heard four gunshots which sounded like they were right outside my window. Eek! Vincent even jumped and he doesn't jump for fireworks! I thought someone was either shooting at cars in the parking lot or perhaps the guy downstairs's ex-girlfriend was shooting at him. (She's been coming around yelling at him a lot lately.) But I heard no glass breaking. Hmm.

I was going to call 911, but turned on my scanner instead. Aha, they were already chasing the guy, even broadcast his name. No sense calling 911. It turns out they had been looking for him for some sort of gun sale sting and he fled through backyards, ending up at my building. From behind the big tree in the front on my side of the building, he fired the four shots ambushing one of the police cars. So, not right outside my window ... but we're talking maybe 200 feet away. Much too close for comfort. No one was hit.

The news story is at this link. He ended up running across the street and into the brook, then getting caught about two blocks away. One interesting thing to note is the the police prefer to get paper cups, not Styrofoam ones, to mark bullet casings. The crime scene, all lighted up and lots of hubbub, lasted until the wee hours. It wasn't conducive to sleep.

Look, deer

As a friend and I hit the landing heading to the Bridgewater Train Station eastbound track, I saw these two fawns on the other side of the fence. I said, "Look, deer." three or four times until my friend gave me a puzzled look which seemed to say, "Why are you calling me 'dear'?"

Big Brother 17: Live Feeds into Sunday - September 6

I'm in the final five!

Things did calm down some in the house. Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Which Twin Goes to Jury:
  • Austin is totally understanding about why he was put on the block along with Liz and why it's time the others split up Austwins.
  • Sure, I doubt he wanted it to go down.
  • But it makes sense as the numbers dwindle in the house -- not so much for him, but for the others vying for the win. They need to break up the solid block which makes up half the house right now.
  • In between tears and hating on Austin, Liz knows it's the right thing for the others to do for their game.
  • Julia is having a hard time grasping the idea, though. She just can't understand why they need to be broken up.
  • @@
  • Liz is still mad at Austin for not throwing the PoV comp to Julia so all three of them could be safe.
  • However, Austin wanted the limelight. And, he got it. It comes with baggage.
  • Austin made a heart-shaped chicken dish for the twins. They refused to eat it.
  • After drinking some wine, listening to Vanessa's double-talk, trying to eavesdrop on Johnny Mac shouting in the Diary Room, the twins went to bed together ... no Austin allowed.
  • The boyz hung out by the hot tub. I'm talking all three -- Steve, Johnny Mac and Austin.
  • Aha! Austin admitted that the wrestling dropped him, telling him he doesn't have what it takes! HA! He said they didn't think he was funny enough, didn't have the right looks and used his injuries to drop him. HA!
  • He honestly thinks that he's proved how entertaining, funny and athletic he is and they'll be begging him to come back into the fold.
  • @@
  • While Steve keeps turning to the camera (when he's alone) and telling us he's onto Vanessa, I doubt she'll be the renom.
  • It's probably going to be Julia.
  • And, as of right now, it looks like Julia will be the one to go.
  • Both twins have fussed about how they're so over this show, this game, this house.
  • I only wish Austin was going. He annoys me. And, it annoys me that if he makes the final two, he'll win.
  • But it's not over until the fat lady sings ...

How do I kill them all off with no blood?

Listening to Austin's delusions of grandeur

Why me? I hate Austin!

One of us is going home!

No room for Austin tonight!

Big Brother 17: Live Feeds, Power of Veto, Saturday - September 5

What the heck has happened?

Things didn't go quite as planned. Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Tears, Fears and False Veneers:
  • The hamsters, despite an early bedtime for them, slept in until past noon.
  • Then it was time to awaken for the PoV comp.
  • Poor little hamsters.
  • Oh my. The feeds came back with Steve in a green tutu, Johnny Mac in a yellow tutu and Austin wearing the veto necklace.
  • Yes, you heard me. Austin. Veto necklace.
  • The twins are crying.
  • Vanessa is crying.
  • Vanessa and the twins are crying together.
  • It's a wonder Steve isn't vomiting.
  • The twins are mad because they think Austin should have thrown the comp to Julia, thus ensuring all three would be safe.
  • Austin is blaming everything on Vanessa.
  • It seems they had to pick each other in the comp and there was also spinning involved (which did in Steve).
  • Austin admitted that he overreacted (to winning the veto?) but claims it was "good TV."
  • Trust me, Austin -- NOTHING you do is "good TV."
  • Except, perhaps, when you eventually get off my TV, out of my life and cease haunting my nightmares that something's gone rancid in that ponytail beard.
  • Liz supposedly cheered Austin's win without thinking that they had discussed how Julia would go on the block if one of them won veto and saved him/herself.
  • When Liz realizes that, both she and Julia turn on Austin.
  • Austin told Johnny Mac they need to get Vanessa out.
  • Steve's tummy hurts.
  • Austin, Liz and Julia want to throw Vanessa under the bus to Steve so Vanessa will be the renom.
  • Johnny Mac is just sort of hanging out, all secure from the kerfuffles all around him.
  • Liz claims she can't stand to even look at Austin.
  • Good. I don't want to see them looking at each other either.
  • Vanessa ran around crying to whoever would listen to her -- the twins, the twins separately, Austin ... damage control in high gear.
  • Too bad I'm not really seeing real tears from her.
  • Steve seems to be having second thoughts about Vanessa and told us her stories don't add up.
  • But, of course, I have no faith that Steve will turn on her and think for himself.
  • Oh, geez. Jessie Godderz hosted the comp. Ew. Him and Austin will be together on my television screen. Ew! Ew!
  • Austin tried to lay a guilt trip on Liz -- how he ruined his life and left his girlfriend for her.
  • @@
  • She doesn't want to hear it.
  • "Hey, it's a game. Sometimes you get evicted," says Johnny Mac.
  • It really doesn't help that Austin keeps bragging about the comp and wore that PoV necklace forever!
  • Liz and Julia hit up Steve's HoH wine and trashtalked Austin.
  • Meanwhile, Austin, Johnny Mac and Steve are drinking more wine in the kitchen.
  • What we have here is one fine kettle of fish ... I'd say the fish just might be piranhas.
  • Heh.
  • They knew the job was dangerous when they took it.
  • I would think that Julia will be the renom when Austin wins veto.
  • But it should be a traumatic (for them) two days until the veto meeting.

I am SO OVER this game-uhh!

Trying to do damage control

Mr. PoV PTB (Ponytail Beard) Ew.

Big Brother 17: Live Feeds into Saturday - September 5

Steve gives HoH room floors a shine

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of A Demented Dentist et al:
  • Okay, so Liz and Austin are on the block.
  • Austin is playing it all rational and such while Liz keeps crying.
  • Now, we know that Austin is the real target out of the two.
  • While the twins are an inseparable bond and should have been stopped when they realized there was a twin, not the best move right now.
  • Of Austwins, Austin is the most "dangerous."
  • No, not because of his size.
  • I know from watching the after eviction interviews that everyone is brainwashed by his "great social game." They actually think others are doing HIS bidding.
  • If he makes it to a final two with anyone, the jury will hand it to him!
  • In actuality, it's all been Vanessa's moves.
  • But, for Johnny Mac, Steve and Vanessa ... the best move right now is to send him to jury and worry about the twins later.
  • Austin keeps going for the romance of it all with Liz ... on the block together with his love, good TV.
  • Gag me now.
  • He acts like he wants her to stay -- saying he would have fun with James in jury.
  • The real hitch in it all is the veto.
  • If Austin wins veto and saves himself, Julia would go up and Liz would never forgive him. If Liz wins veto, same scenario with Julia going up.
  • So, I think they'll be going into the veto comp with neither of the two on the block wanting to win veto.
  • That's good.
  • Now, if Julia wins veto, it's likely Johnny Mac would go up.
  • That's not as good as the twins would control the vote.
  • Steve wants to work on Liz to get her to realize that neither she nor Julia are the target(s) this week.
  • (That would be next week.)
  • Lots of small talk and an early bedtime for them all.
  • The PoV comp will be later today.

Liz cries some more

Talking comps

Sitting pretty ... for now

Big Brother 17: Live Feeds Friday Daytime, Nominations - September 4

How I like Vanessa ... quiet

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Six Hamsters a'Scampering:
  • Although the rules say you're not supposed to tell the nominees that they're going to be nominees, Steve all but blatantly told Austin and Liz they're going on the block.
  • He actually explained his reasoning very well to Liz. He told her that, with as few people in the house as there are, it's becoming a numbers game -- the individuals will be trounced by the block of people if the block of people isn't broken up.
  • He called out the individuals as himself, Johnny Mac and Vanessa and the block as Austwins.
  • He promised that he wouldn't put both her and Julia on the block.
  • He told Austin pretty much the same reasoning.
  • Of course, this is what Vanessa wants him to do, yet her hands remain "unbloodied."
  • But it's also the logical move at this point. Liz, nor Austin, have never been on the block, if memory serves. I know Austin hasn't, at least. I don't think Liz has.
  • (The mind is the first thing you lose as you age!)
  • This week, if the nominations are Austin and Liz, they only need two votes to vote one out -- Vanessa and Johnny Mac.
  • If Julia wins the veto, one would come down and gum up the plans.
  • If Austin or Liz win the veto and one gets saved, Julia would go up.
  • Vanessa told Steve that Austin told Liz that he (Austin) is not the target.
  • Meanwhile, Steve had already told Liz she's not the target.
  • Steve thinks that just makes more ammo to get Austin out.
  • I personally think, at this time, they need to get Austin out over a twin. Twins can be next. And next.
  • Then Vanessa ... with a final two of Steve and Johnny Mac.
  • Now, that would be a hoot!
  • Liz cried. And cried. And cried.
  • Her memory is short. Last week she mocked Meg for crying when put on the block with James.
  • Julia is ticked and says that she doesn't want Johnny Mac to win because he's a dentist and will make so much money.
  • I guess her memory is short, too. I remember them all sitting around discussing school. Johnny Mac has over $40,000 is student loans he pays yearly.
  • Liz claims she's going to pull an Audrey this week.
  • Liz is all upset also because Steven supposedly made her swear on her family that she wouldn't put him up and she thought it was reciprocal.
  • Steve says he doesn't remember.
  • The feeds have been blocked for a while now for nominations.
  • I'm mindlessly typing while awaiting their return.
  • They've played the same Jeffish highlights reel over and over again.
  • Make it stop!
  • Finally. Liz is bawling her eyes out, Austin (looking upset himself) is trying to comfort her.
  • Liz and Austin on the block.
  • Vanessa's dirty deeds done dirt cheap. But, at this time, it might be the best for Steve and John's games.
  • It's a good thing Steve now has his teddy bear.

Multi-tasking

And, Liz cried ...
